1Identification of a novel coronavirus causing severe pneumonia in human:a descriptive study显示文摘Background:Human infections with zoonotic coronaviruses(CoVs),including severe acute respiratory syndrome(SARS)-CoV and Middle East respiratory syndrome(MERS)-CoV,have raised great public health concern globally.Here,we report a novel batorigin CoV causing severe and fatal pneumonia in humans.Methods:We collected clinical data and bronchoalveolar lavage(BAL)specimens from five patients with severe pneumonia from Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital,Hubei province,China.Nucleic acids of the BAL were extracted and subjected to next-generation sequencing.Virus isolation was carried out,and maximum-likelihood phylogenetic trees were constructed.Results:Five patients hospitalized from December 18 to December 29,2019 presented with fever,cough,and dyspnea accompanied by complications of acute respiratory distress syndrome.Chest radiography revealed diffuse opacities and consolidation.One of these patients died.Sequence results revealed the presence of a previously unknownβ-CoV strain in all five patients,with 99.8%to 99.9%nucleotide identities among the isolates.These isolates showed 79.0%nucleotide identity with the sequence of SARS-CoV(GenBank NC_004718)and 51.8%identity with the sequence of MERS-CoV(GenBank NC_019843).The virus is phylogenetically closest to a bat SARS-like CoV(SL-ZC45,GenBank MG772933)with 87.6%to 87.7%nucleotide identity,but is in a separate clade.Moreover,these viruses have a single intact open reading frame gene 8,as a further indicator of bat-origin CoVs.However,the amino acid sequence of the tentative receptor-binding domain resembles that of SARS-CoV,indicating that these viruses might use the same receptor.Conclusion:A novel bat-borne CoV was identified that is associated with severe and fatal respiratory disease in humans.Li-Li Ren Ye-Ming Wang Zhi-Qiang Wu Zi-Chun Xiang Li Guo Teng Xu Yong-Zhong Jiang Yan Xiong Yong-Jun Li Xing-Wang Li Hui Li Guo-Hui Fan Xiao-Ying Gu Yan Xiao Hong Gao Jiu-Yang Xu Fan Yang Xin-Ming Wang Chao Wu Lan Chen Yi-Wei Liu Bo Liu Jian Yang Xiao-Rui Wang Jie Dong Li Li Chao-Lin Huang Jian-Ping Zhao Yi Hu Zhen-Shun Cheng Un-Lin Liu Zhao-Hui Qian Chuan Qin Qi Jin Bin Cao Jian-Wei Wang 2020Chinese Medical Journal2020,,9:99
2China land soil moisture EnKF data assimilation based on satellite remote sensing data显示文摘Soil moisture plays an important role in land-atmosphere interactions. It is an important geophysical parameter in research on climate, hydrology, agriculture, and forestry. Soil moisture has important climatic effects by influencing ground evapotranspi ration, runoff, surface reflectivity, surface emissivity, surface sensible heat and latent heat flux. At the global scale, the extent of its influence on the atmosphere is second only to that of sea surface temperature. At the terrestrial scale, its influence is even greater than that of sea surface temperatures. This paper presents a China Land Soil Moisture Data Assimilation System (CLSMDAS) based on EnKF and land process models, and results of the application of this system in the China Land Soil Moisture Data Assimilation tests. CLSMDAS is comprised of the following components: 1) A land process mo del—Community Land Model Version 3.0 (CLM3.0)—developed by the US National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR); 2) Precipitation of atmospheric forcing data and surface-incident solar radiation data come from hourly outputs of the FY2 geostationary meteorological satellite; 3) EnKF (Ensemble Kalman Filter) land data assimilation method; and 4) Observa tion data including satellite-inverted soil moisture outputs of the AMSR-E satellite and soil moisture observation data. Results of soil moisture assimilation tests from June to September 2006 were analyzed with CLSMDAS. Both simulation and assimila tion results of the land model reflected reasonably the temporal-spatial distribution of soil moisture. The assimilated soil mois ture distribution matches very well with severe summer droughts in Chongqing and Sichuan Province in August 2006, the worst since the foundation of the People’s Republic of China in 1949. 3Acupuncture and regulation of gastrointestinal function显示文摘In China, acupuncture has been considered an effective method for treating gastrointestinal(GI) dysfunction diseases for thousands of years. In fact, acupuncture has gained progressive acceptance from both practitioners and patients worldwide. However, the therapeutic effects and underlying mechanisms in treating GI dysfunction have not yet been established due to a lack of systematic and comprehensive review articles. Therefore, the aim of this review is to discuss the efficacy of acupuncture as a treatment for GI dysfunction and the associated underlying mechanisms. A search of Pub Med was conducted for articles that were published over the past 10 years using the terms 'acupuncture', 'gastrointestine', and other relevant keywords. In the following review, we describe the effect and underlying mechanisms of acupuncture on GI function from the perspectives of GI motility, visceral sensitivity, the GI barrier, and the brain-gut axis. The dual regulatory effects of acupuncture may manifest by promoting gastric peristalsis in subjects with low initial gastric motility, and suppressing peristalsis in subjects with active initial motility. In addition, the regulation of acupuncture on gastric motility may be intensitydependent. 4A General Description for Chinese Medicine in Treating Premature Ovarian Failure显示文摘Premature ovarian failure(POF) is a kind of gynecological disease that causes amenorrhea, infertility, menopause and urogenital symptoms. Currently hormone replacement therapy(HRT) is the most popular choice for women with POF to get rid of menopausal syndrome. However, as the popularization of Chinese herbs made Chinese medicine(CM) shine new lights, physicians are able to treat POF with both meno-herbs and integrated therapy. HRT has its own indications and contraindications. For example, unexplained vaginal bleeding, acute liver damage, liver dysfunction, vascular embolization, and breast cancer are all contraindications of HRT, and CM is taken by more physicians as an adjuvant therapy. This review, including a range of common Chinese herbs and formulations according to the existing literature, provides a general description of CM treating POF from the aspects of mechanisms and clinical application. It also highlights acupuncture as a unique physiotherapy for POF. Although the validity of CM has been supported by the evidence of many preclinical trials, clinical trials and meta-analysis, the adverse events with CM therapy still exist and no guarantee has been made for its safety. 5Multi-energy Storage System Model Based on Electricity Heat and Hydrogen Coordinated Optimization for Power Grid Flexibility显示文摘Based on decreasing the flexibility of the power grid through the integration of large-scale renewable energy,a multi-energy storage system architectural model and its coor-dination operational strategy with the same flexibility as in the pumped storage power station and battery energy storage system(BESS)are studied.According to the new energy fluctuation characteristics and the different peak valley parameters in the power grid,this paper proposes a electricity heat hydrogen multi-energy storage system(EHH-MESS)and its coordination and optimization operational model to reduce the curtailment of wind power and photovoltaic(PV)to the power grid and improve the flexibility of the power grid.Finally,this paper studied the simulation model of an energy storage optimization control strategy after the multi-energy storage system is connected to the distribution networks,and analyzed three operational modes of the multi-energy storage system.The simulation results show that the EHH-MESS proposed in this paper has a better power grid regulation flexibility and economy,and can be used to replace the battery energy storage system based on MATLAB.Yun Teng Zedi Wang Yan Li Qian Ma Qian Hui Shubin Li 2019CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2019,5,2:38

7Ginkgo biloba extract improved cognitive and neurological functions of acute ischaemic stroke:a randomised controlled trial显示文摘Purpose To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Ginkgo biloba extract(GBE)in acute ischaemic stroke and its impact on the recurrence of vascular events.Methods We conducted a multicentre,prospective,randomised,open label,blinded,controlled clinical trial enrollingpatients with an onset of acute stroke within 7 days from five hospitals in China Jiangsu Province.Participants were assigned to the GBE group(450 mg GBE with 100 mg aspirin daily)or the control group(100 mg aspirin daily)for 6 months.The primary outcome was the decline in the Montreal Cognitive Assessment score at 6 months.Secondary outcomes were other neuropsychological tests of cognitive and neurological function,the the incidence of adverse events and vascular events.results 348 patients were enrolled:179 in the GBE group and 169 in the control group.With 18 patients lost to follow-up,the dropout rate was 5.17%.Admission data between two groups were similar,but in the GBE group there was a marked slow down in the decline in the Montreal Cognitive Assessment scores(−2.77±0.21 vs−1.99±0.23,P=0.0116(30 days);−3.34±0.24 vs−2.48±0.26,P=0.0165(90 days);−4.00±0.26 vs−2.71±0.26,P=0.0004(180 days))compared with controls.The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale scores at 12 and 30 days,the modified Rankin Scale scores for independent rate at 30,90 and 180 days,and the Barthel Index scores at 30,90 and 180 days in the GBE group were significantly improved compared with controls.Improvements were also observedin GBE groups for Mini-Metal State Examination scores of 30,90 and 180 days,Webster's digit symbol test scores at 30 days and Executive Dysfunction Index scores at 30 and 180 days.No significant differences were seen in the incidence of adverse events or vascular events.conclusions We conclude that GBE in combination with aspirin treatment alleviated cognitive and neurological deficits after acute ischaemic stroke without increasing the incidence of vascular events.Shanshan Li Xinjiang Zhang Qi Fang Junshan Zhou Meijuan Zhang Hui Wang Yan Chen Biyun Xu Yanfeng Wu Lai Qian Yun Xu 2017Stroke & Vascular Neurology2017,2,4:25
8Effect of ulinastatin on paraquat-induced-oxidative stress in human type Ⅱ alveolar epithelial cells显示文摘BACKGROUND:Ulinastatin(UTI) is a urinary trypsin inhibitor extracted and purified from urine of males.This study aimed to explore the effects of UTI on paraquat-induced-oxidative stress in human type Ⅱ alveolar epithelial cells.METHODS:The human type II alveolar epithelial cells,A549 cells,were cultured in vitro.The A549 cells were treated with different concentrations of paraquat(200,400,600,800,1 000,1 200 umol/L) and ulinastatin(0,2 000,4 000,6 000,8 000 U/mL) for 24 hours,the cell viability was measured by cell counting kit-8 and the median lethal concentration was selected.In order to establish an in vitro model of paraquat intoxication and to determine the safe dose of ulinastatin,we calculated LD50 using cell counting kit-8 to determine the survival rate of the cells.A549 cells were divided into normal control group,paraquat group and paraquat+ulinastatin group.The levels of malondialdehyde(MDA) and myeloperoxidase(MPO) were detected by biochemistry colorimetry,while the level of reactive oxygen spies(ROS) was detected by DCFH-DA assay.RESULTS:The survival rate of A549 cells treated with different concentrations of paraquat decreased in a concentration-dependent manner.Whereas there was no decrease in the survival rate of cells treated with 0-4 000 U/mL ulinastatin.The levels of MDA,MPO,and ROS were significantly higher in the paraquat group than in the normal control group after 24-hour-exposure.And the survival rate of the paraquat+ulinastatin group was higher than that of the paraquat group,but lower than that of the normal control group.The levels of MDA,MPO,and ROS were lower than those of the paraquat group.CONCLUSION:Ulinastatin can alleviate the paraquat-induced A549 cell damage by reducing oxidative stress.Xiao-xiao Meng Rui-lan Wang Shan Gao Hui Xie Jiu-ting Tan Yong-bin Qian 2013World Journal of Emergency Medicine2013,4,2:24
9Root microbiota shift in rice correlates with resident time in the field and developmental stage显示文摘Land plants in natural soil form intimate relationships with the diverse root bacterial microbiota. A growing body of evidence shows that these microbes are important for plant growth and health. Root microbiota composition has been widely studied in several model plants and crops; however, little is known about how root microbiota vary throughout the plant's life cycle under field conditions. We performed longitudinal dense sampling in field trials to track the time-series shift of the root microbiota from two representative rice cultivars in two separate locations in China. We found that the rice root microbiota varied dramatically during the vegetative stages and stabilized from the beginning of the reproductive stage, after which the root microbiota underwent relatively minor changes until rice ripening. Notably, both rice genotype and geographical location influenced the patterns of root microbiota shift that occurred during plant growth. The relative abundance of Deltaproteobacteria in roots significantly increased overtime throughout the entire life cycle of rice, while that of Betaproteobacteria, Firmicutes, and Gammaproteobacteria decreased. By a machine learning approach, we identified biomarker taxa and established a model to correlate root microbiota with rice resident time in the field(e.g., Nitrospira accumulated from 5 weeks/tillering in field-grown rice). 10Comparative analysis of twenty-five compounds in different parts of Astragalus membranaceus var.mongholicus and Astragalus membranaceus by UPLC-MS/MS显示文摘As a traditional Chinese medicine,the root of Astragalus membranaceus var.mongholicus(AMM)or A.membranaceus(AM)has been widely used in China and other Asian countries for thousands of years.Till now,the flavonoids,phenolic acids and saponins are considered as the main active components contributing to their therapeutic effect in these plants.In order to clarify the distribution and contents of these compounds in different organs of these plants,a rapid and sensitive analytical method for simultaneous determination of 25 active compounds including seven types(i.e.dihydroflavones,isoflavane,isoflavones,flavones,pterocarpans,phenolic acid and saponins)within 10 min was established using ultra-pressure liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry(UPLCeMS/MS).Then,the established method was fully validated and successfully applied to the determination of the contents of these analytes in different parts(root,rhizome,stem,leaf and flower)of AMM and AM.The results indicated that the contents of the same type of compounds in two different species plants were significantly different.Moreover,the obvious differences were also found for the distribution and contents of different type of compounds in five organs of the same species.The present study could provide necessary information for the rational development and utilization of AMM and AM resource.Yuan Li Sheng Guo Yue Zhu Hui Yan Da-Wei Qian Han-Qing Wang Jian-Qiang Yu Jin-Ao Duan 2019Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2019,9,6:23

16A Model of Electro-thermal Hybrid Energy Storage System for Autonomous Control Capability Enhancement of Multi-energy Microgrid显示文摘In view of the problem of low self-service capability of the microgrid due to the high operating cost and low capacity of the traditional battery energy storage system.In this paper,an electrothermal hybrid energy storage model based on electricity,hydrogen and thermal energy conversion and storage is introduced,and a microgrid autonomous operational strategy is proposed.First,the addition of the power to hydrogen transfer equipment in the traditional combined heat and power(TCHP)system without battery energy storage is studied,and a micro gas turbine,electric to hydrogen transfer equipment and electric boiler based electrothermal energy storage system(ETSS)model is established.Aiming at the lowest comprehen-sive operating cost of multiple energy sources in a microgrid and maximizing the consumption of curtailed wind,the multi-objective scheduling model of an electrothermal hybrid energy storage system is established,then the multi-energy autonomous operational strategy of a microgrid is proposed.Lastly,the simulation of a multi-energy microgrid in Northeast China is taken as an example.The results of the simulation showed that compared with a combined heat and power microgrid system considering conventiona battery energy storage,a multi-energy microgrid system using electrothermal hybrid energy storage has better flexibility and economy,and can improve wind power accommodation.Yun Teng Peng Sun Qian Hui Yan Li Zhe Chen 2019CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2019,5,4:20
17Sophocarpine attenuates liver fibrosis by inhibiting the TLR4 signaling pathway in rats显示文摘AIM:To explore the effect of sophocarpine on experimental liver fibrosis and the potential mechanism involved.METHODS:Sophocarpine was injected intraperitoneally in two distinct rat hepatic fibrosis models induced either by dimethylnitrosamine or bile duct ligation.Masson’s trichrome staining,Sirius red staining and hepatic hydroxyproline level were used for collagen determination.Primary hepatic stellate cells(HSCs)were isolated and treated with different concentrations of sophocarpine.Real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction was used to detect the mRNA levels of fibrotic markers and cytokines.The expression of pathway proteins was measured by Western blot.The Cell Counting Kit-8 test was used to detect the proliferation rate of activated HSCs treated with a gradient concentration of sophocarpine.RESULTS:Sophocarpine decreased serum levels of aminotransferases and total bilirubin in rats under chronic insult.Moreover,administration of sophocarpine suppressed extracellular matrix deposition and prevented the development of hepatic fibrosis.Furthermore,sophocarpine inhibited the expression ofα-smooth muscle actin(SMA),interleukin(IL)-6,transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1),Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4),and extracellular-related kinase(ERK)in rats.Sophocarpine also down-regulated the mRNA expression ofα-SMA,collagenⅠ,collagenⅢ,TGF-β1,IL-6,tumor necrosis factor-αand monocyte chemoattractant protein-1,and decreased protein levels of TLR4,p-ERK,p-JNK,p-P38 and p-IKK in vitro after Lipopolysaccharide induction.In addition,sophocarpine inhibited the proliferation of HSCs accompanied by a decrease in the expression of Cyclin D1.The protein level of proliferating cell nuclear antigen was decreased in activated HSCs following a gradient concentration of sophocarpine.CONCLUSION:Sophocarpine can alleviate liver fibrosis mainly by inhibiting the TLR4 pathway.Sophocarpine may be a potential chemotherapeutic agent for chronic liver diseases.Hui Qian Jian Shi Ting-Ting Fan Jiao Lv Si-Wen Chen Chun-Yan Song Zhi-Wu Zheng Wei-Fen Xie Yue-Xiang Chen 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,7:19
18Electroacupuncture for the prevention of postoperative gastrointestinal dysfunction in patients undergoing vascular surgery under general anesthesia: study protocol for a prospective practical randomized controlled trial显示文摘BACKGROUND: Postoperative gastrointestinal dysfunction(PGD) is one of the most common complications following major surgeries under general anesthesia(GA). Despite ongoing research and new drug treatments, abdominal distension within 24 h postoperatively occurs in 8%–28% of all surgeries. We aim to analyze the effectiveness of preventing PGD by preoperatively stimulating Neiguan(PC6), Zusanli(ST36) and Shangjuxu(ST37) bilaterally twice a day compared with sham-acupuncture treatment and standard treatment.METHODS AND DESIGN: This is a single-center, prospective practical randomized controlled trial. All groups will be given standard treatments. Patients undergoing vascular surgery under GA will be included from the Vascular Surgery Unit in West China Hospital of Sichuan University, China, and divided into three groups. The experimental group will receive routine treatments and acupuncture at PC6, ST36 and ST37 bilaterally with electrical stimulation twice a day for 20 min preoperatively. The sham-acupuncture group will receive pseudo-electroacupuncture at sham acupoints of PC6, ST36 and ST37, which are 1 cun away from the real acupoints. The routine-treatment group will not receive electroacupuncture. The outcomes include the incidence of abdominal distention, abdominal circumference, the degree of abdominal distension, the fi rst time of fl atus and defecation, and hospitalization duration. DISCUSSION: The results from this study will demonstrate whether preoperative electroacupuncture is an effective method for the prevention of PGD in patients undergoing vascular surgery under GA. This study may also provide a standardized acupuncture treatment for reduction of PGD. 19Celastrus orbiculatus extract induces mitochondrial-mediated apoptosis in human hepatocellular carcinoma cells显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the apoptotic effects and underlying molecular mechanisms of Celastrus orbiculatus(C.orbiculatus) extract in human hepatocellular carcinoma cells.METHODS:Human hepatocellular carcinoma cells(HCCLM6) were treated with C.orbiculatus extract(COE) at different nontoxic concentrations(10,20,40,80,and 160 μg/mL).The effect of COE on HC-CLM6 viability was examined using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide(MTT) assays.Cellular apoptosis following COE treatment was assessed by flow cytometry and western blot analysis.RESULTS:COE significantly inhibited cell viability and induced apoptosis of HCCLM6 cells in a dose-dependent manner.Apoptosis was accompanied by increased Bax expression and decreased Bcl-2 expression.In addition,COE treatment led to the release of cytochrome c,activation of caspase-3,and cleavage of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase(PARP).Furthermore,activation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK),p38 kinase,and c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK) phosphorylation,and down-regulation of Akt phosphorylation was observed.CONCLUSION:COE induces mitochondrial-mediated,caspase-dependent apoptosis in HCCLM6 cells,which might be attributed to the activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK) and inhibition of Akt signaling pathways.These data suggest that COE may be a potential treatment for human hepatocellular carcinoma.Hua Zhang Yayun Qian Yanqing Liu Guoqing Li Pingfang Cui Yaodong Zhu Hui Ma Xue Ji Shiyu Guo Hisamits Tadashi 2012Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,4:18
20Gambogic acid induces mitochondria-dependent apoptosis by modulation of Bcl-2 and Bax in mantle cell lymphoma JeKo-1 cells显示文摘Aim: To study the mechanisms in gambogic acid (GA) -induced JeKo-1 human Mantle Cell Lymphoma cell apoptosis in vitro. Methods: The proliferation of GA-treated JeKo-1 cells was measured by CCK-8 assay and Ki-67 immunocytochemical detection. Apoptosis, cell cycle and mitochondrial membrane potential were measured by flow cytometric analysis. Caspase-3,-8 and -9 were detected by colorimetric assay. Bcl-2 and Bax were analyzed by Western blotting. Results: GA inhibited cell growth in a time-and dose-dependent manner. GA induces apoptosis in JeKo-1 cells but not in normal bone marrow cells, which was involved in reducing the membrane potential of mitochondria, activating caspases-3, -8 and -9 and decreasing the ratio of Bcl-2 and Bax without cell cycle arresting.
