| 1 | HEAT TRANSFER BEHAVIOR OF SUPERALLOY DROPLETS DURING SPRAY FORMING显示文摘Based on the Newtonian heat transfer formulation and classical heterogeneous nucleation theory, a mathematical model has been established to predict the profile of flight velocity, heat transfer coefficient, temperature, solid fraction and cooling rate of atomizing droplets for a superalloy. The results indicated that above parameters change with different droplet size and flight distance. The changing trend as well as the mechanism for the change are described and discussed. | J.F. | 3 | A LOOP DRAWBEAD RESTRAINING FORCE MODEL IN SHEET METAL DEEP DRAWING PROCESS显示文摘In sheet metal forming, drawbeads are often used to control uneven material flow which may cause defects such as wrinkles, fracture, surface distortion and springback. Appropriate setting and adjusting the drawbead force is one of the most important pa- rameters in sheet metal forming process control. This paper derives the model of loop drawbead restraining force (DBRF) using plastic forming theory, and gives the min imum blankholding force. Experiments are carried out to verify the proposed DBRF model. | 4 | STRUCTURE FORMATION OF UNDERCOOLED Fe-30Ni ALLOY显示文摘Bulk Fe-30Ni alloy melt was nudercooled up to 337K by combining the glass fluxing technique with superheating-cooling cycle. Grain refinement at low undercoolings was observed in the experiment in addition to that at high undercoolings. The current grain refinement mechanisms were examined, and it is concluded that the refined gains are all developed from dendrites, however the grain refinement at low undercoolings is due to chemical superheating, while that at high undercoolings due to rapid solidification contruction. | J.F. | 5 | A NOVEL APPROACH FOR THE PREDICTION OF SURFACE PROFILE OF OUTGOING WORKPIECE AND THE CALCULATION OF MEAN ROLL RADIUS IN ALLOY BAR ROLLING显示文摘In alloy bar rolling process, the component of alloyed steel influenced the spread coefficient greatly, therefore, the component influence coefficient m of different alloyed steel has been determined firstly to calculate the maximum spread. Then the curvature radius of stress free surface and the 'critical point on the contact boundary' have been solved, the surface profile of outgoing workpiece has been obtained. Furthermore, the formula of the equivalent contact section area has been proposed and the mean roll radius has been calculated. The bar rolling experiment and the rigid-plastic FEM (finite element method) simulation have been carried out to verify the novel approach. The phases and microstructures of the sintered composites were characterized using X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled with energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS). The process of synthesis was investigated using differential thermal analysis (DTA). The effects of processing parameters and additives on the microstructures of the composites and the development of whisker were examined.
