6The effect of lipid metabolism on biological characteristics of hepatic stellate cell显示文摘Hepatic stellate cells(HSCs) are a kind of fat-storing cells, the lipid droplets are rich in the Cytoplasm, in which retinyl ester accounts for 42%, triglyceride occupies 28%, cholesterol(total) occupies 13%, phospholipids occupies 4% respectively. Studies have confirmed that thetransforms of HSC phenotype follows the changing of the cell lipid. After the activation of HSC, with HSC phenotype changing from fat-storing cells into myofibroblast, the lipid droplets decreased or disappeared gradually, which means HSCs are under the differentiating process of removing adipose, meawhile triglyceride, and the main content of lipid droplets, also obviously reduced. It was ever declined that during the process of HSC re-fating, the activated HSC would turn into quiescent state. 8Sensitivity of Near Real-time MODIS Gross Primary Productivity in Terrestrial Forests Based on Eddy Covariance Measurements显示文摘As an important product of Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS), MOD17A2 provides dramatic improvements in our ability to accurately and continuously monitor global terrestrial primary production, which is also significant in effort to advance scientific research and eco-environmental management. Over the past decades, forests have moderated climate change by sequestrating about one-quarter of the carbon emitted by human activities through fossil fuels burning and land use/land cover change. Thus, the carbon uptake by forests reduces the rate at which carbon accumulates in the atmosphere. However, the sensitivity of near real-time MODIS gross primary productivity(GPP) product is directly constrained by uncertainties in the modeling process, especially in complicated forest ecosystems. Although there have been plenty of studies to verify MODIS GPP with ground-based measurements using the eddy covariance(EC) technique, few have comprehensively validated the performance of MODIS estimates(Collection 5) across diverse forest types. Therefore, the present study examined the degree of correspondence between MODIS-derived GPP and EC-measured GPP at seasonal and interannual time scales for the main forest ecosystems, including evergreen broadleaf forest(EBF), evergreen needleleaf forest(ENF), deciduous broadleaf forest(DBF), and mixed forest(MF) relying on 16 flux towers with a total of 68 site-year datasets. Overall, site-specific evaluation of multi-year mean annual GPP estimates indicates that the current MOD17A2 product works highly effectively for MF and DBF, moderately effectively for ENF, and ineffectively for EBF. Except for tropical forest, MODIS estimates could capture the broad trends of GPP at 8-day time scale for all other sites surveyed. On the annual time scale, the best performance was observed in MF, followed by ENF, DBF, and EBF. Trend analyses also revealed the poor performance of MODIS GPP product in EBF and DBF. 9Microbiological quality of roof tank water in an urban village in southeastern China显示文摘Urban villages are unique residential neighborhoods in urban areas in China. Roof tanks are their main form of water supply, and water quality deterioration might occur in this system because of poor hygienic conditions and maintenance. In this study, water samples were seasonally collected from an urban village to investigate the influence of roof tanks as an additional water storage device on the variation in the microbial community structure and pathogenic gene markers. Water stagnation in the roof tank induced significant decreases in chlorine(p < 0.05), residual chlorine was as low as 0.02 mg/L in spring. Propidium monoazide(PMA)-qPCR revealed a one-magnitude higher level of total viable bacterial concentration in roof tank water samples(2.14 ± 1.81 × 105gene copies/mL) than that in input water samples(3.57 ± 2.90 × 104gene copies/mL, p < 0.05), especially in spring and summer. In addition,pathogenic fungi, Mycobacterium spp., and Legionella spp. were frequently detected in the roof tanks. Terminal users might be exposed to higher microbial risk induced by high abundance of Legionella gene marker. Spearman’s rank correlation and redundancy analysis showed that residual chlorine was the driving force that promoted bacterial colonization and shaped the microbial community. It is worth noted that the sediment in the pipe will be agitated when the water supply is restored after the water outages, which can trigger an increase in turbidity and bacterial biomass. 10High-Dimensional Volatility Matrix Estimation with Cross-Sectional Dependent and Heavy-Tailed Microstructural Noise显示文摘The estimates of the high-dimensional volatility matrix based on high-frequency data play a pivotal role in many financial applications.However,most existing studies have been built on the sub-Gaussian and cross-sectional independence assumptions of microstructure noise,which are typically violated in the financial markets.In this paper,the authors proposed a new robust volatility matrix estimator,with very mild assumptions on the cross-sectional dependence and tail behaviors of the noises,and demonstrated that it can achieve the optimal convergence rate n-1/4.Furthermore,the proposed model offered better explanatory and predictive powers by decomposing the estimator into low-rank and sparse components,using an appropriate regularization procedure.Simulation studies demonstrated that the proposed estimator outperforms its competitors under various dependence structures of microstructure noise.Additionally,an extensive analysis of the high-frequency data for stocks in the Shenzhen Stock Exchange of China demonstrated the practical effectiveness of the estimator.LIANG Wanwan WU Ben FAN Xinyan JING Bingyi ZHANG Bo 2023Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2023,36,5:0

12Analysis of the Energetic Particles Around the Chili Earthquake of M8.8显示文摘Based on the IDP data from the French DEMETER satellite,global distribution is shown,which corresponds to three precipitation zones:the aural precipitation zone,the mid-high latitude precipitation zone and the South Atlantic precipitation zone.Then the Chili earthquake with M8.8 which occurred on February 27,2010 is taken as an example.The IDP fluxes from repeat orbits are compared and the results show that there is a clear enhancement on February 26,2010,just one day ahead of the Chili earthquake.In the south zone with L=2.1~2.7,the flux on February 26 is higher than that on previous days.However in the north zone with L=2.1~2.7,there is no clear change during the day but great enhancement during the night,which is close to the time of the earthquake.At the same time,the flux on February 26 near the equator is far lower than that on previous days.Huang Jianping Liu Jing Ouyang Xinyan Li Wenjing 2011Earthquake Research in China2011,25,2:0
13Stabilizing zinc anode using zeolite imidazole framework functionalized separator for durable aqueous zinc-ion batteries显示文摘Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs) hold great promise as a viable alternative to lithium-ion batteries owing to their high energy density and environmental friendliness.However,AZIBs are consistently plagued by the formation of zinc dendrites and concurrent side reactions,which significantly diminish their overall service life,In this study,the glass fiber separator(GF) is modified using zeolite imidazole salt framework-8(ZIF-8),enabling the development of efficient AZIBs.ZIF-8,which is abundant in nitrogen content,efficiently regulates the desolvation of [Zn(H_(2)O)_(6)]^(2+) to inhibit hydrogen production.Moreover,it possesses abundant nanochannels that facilitate the uniform deposition of Zn~(2+) via a localized action,thereby hindering the formation of dendrites.The insulating properties of ZIF-8 help prevent Zn^(2+) and water from trapping electron reduction at the layer surface,which reduces corrosion of the zinc anode.Consequently,ZIF-8-GF achieves the even transport of Zn^(2+) and regulates the homogeneous deposition along the Zn(002) crystal surface,thus significantly enhancing the electrochemical performance of the AZIBs,In particular,the Zn|Zn symmetric cell with the ZIF-8-GF separator delivers a stable cycle life at0.5 mA cm^(-2) of 2300 h.The Zn|ZIF-8-GF|MnO_(2) cell exhibits reduced voltage polarization while maintaining a capacity retention rate(93.4%) after 1200 cycles at 1.2 A g^(-1) The unique design of the modified diaphragm provides a new approach to realizing high-performance AZIBs.Weisong Zhang Xinyan Zhu Ling Kang Ziyu Peng Jing Zhu Liang Pan Lei Dai Shude Liu Ling Wang Yongguang Liu Zhangxing He 2024Journal of Energy Chemistry2024,90,3:0
14Prediction and interpretation of photocatalytic NO removal on g-C_(3)N_(4)-based catalysts using machine learning显示文摘Predictive modeling of photocatalytic NO removal is highly desirable for efficient air pollution abatement.However,great challenges remain in precisely predicting photocatalytic performance and understanding interactions of diverse features in the catalytic systems.Herein,a dataset of g-C_(3) N_(4)-based catalysts with 255 data points was collected from peer-reviewed publications and machine learning(ML)model was proposed to predict the NO removal rate.The result shows that the Gradient Boosting Decision Tree(GBDT)demonstrated the greatest prediction accuracy with R 2 of 0.999 and 0.907 on the training and test data,respectively.The SHAP value and feature importance analysis revealed that the empirical categories for NO removal rate,in the order of importance,were catalyst characteristics>reaction process>preparation conditions.Moreover,the partial dependence plots broke the ML black box to further quantify the marginal contributions of the input features(e.g.,doping ratio,flow rate,and pore volume)to the model output outcomes.This ML approach presents a pure data-driven,interpretable framework,which provides new insights into the influence of catalyst characteristics,reaction process,and preparation conditions on NO removal.Jing Li Xinyan Liu Hong Wang Yanjuan Sun Fan Dong 2024Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,2:0

16Role of cyclooxygenase-2 in lipid metabolism in hepatic stellate cells显示文摘Hepatic stellate cells(HSCs) are a kind of adipocytes. In HSCs lipids mainly exist in the form of lipid droplets. They are abundantly found in the cytoplasm and their main constituents are triglycerides. Lipid metabolism in HSCs is closely related to its biological activity, however the mechanism of lipid droplets disappearance after HSC activation is not clearly established yet. Recent research shows that, cyclooxygenase-2 plays an important regulatory role in the lipid metabolism of HSCs.
