| 2 | Fast-track surgery could improve postoperative recovery in radical total gastrectomy patients显示文摘AIM: To assess the impact of fast-track surgery (FTS) on hospital stay, cost of hospitalization and complications after radical total gastrectomy. METHODS: A randomized, controlled clinical trial was conducted from November 2011 to August 2012 in the Department of Digestive Surgery, Xijing Hospital of Digestive Diseases, the Fourth Military Medical University. A total of 122 gastric cancer patients who met the selection criteria were randomized into FTS and conventional care groups on the first day of hospitalization. All patients received elective standard D2 total gastrectomy. Clinical outcomes, including duration of flatus and defecation, white blood cell count, postoperative pain, duration of postoperative stay, cost of hospitalization and complications were recorded and evaluated.Two specially trained doctors who were blinded to the treatment were in charge of evaluating postoperative outcomes, discharge and follow-up. RESULTS: A total of 119 patients finished the study, including 60 patients in the conventional care group and 59 patients in the FTS group. Two patients were excluded from the FTS group due to withdrawal of consent. One patient was excluded from the conventional care group because of a non-resectable tumor. Compared with the conventional group, FTS shortened the duration of flatus (79.03 ± 20.26 hvs 60.97 ± 24.40 h, P = 0.000) and duration of defecation (93.03 ± 27.95 h vs 68.00 ± 25.42 h, P = 0.000), accelerated the decrease in white blood cell count [P < 0.05 on postoperative day (POD) 3 and 4], alleviated pain in patients after surgery (P < 0.05 on POD 1, 2 and 3), reduced complications (P < 0.05), shortened the duration of postoperative stay (7.10 ± 2.13 dvs 5.68 ± 1.22 d,P = 0.000), reduced the cost of hospitalization (43783.25 ± 8102.36 RMBvs 39597.62 ± 7529.98 RMB,P = 0.005), and promoted recovery of patients. | 3 | Paleomagnetic data from Early Cretaceous volcanic rocks of West Liaoning:Evidence for intracontinental rotation显示文摘Detailed rock magnetic studies of 55 lavas from Yixian and Fuxin area, West Liaoning, show the primary carriers of remanence to be pseudo-single domain ti-tanomagnetite. K/Ar dating indicates that the volcanic sequence spans 93 to 133 Ma. Stepwise thermal demagnetization successfully isolated well-defined characteristic magnetization (ChRM) in all lavas thermal-treated above 250℃ The mean paleodirections are D/I=5.9°/58.8° (α95 = 2.9°) and D/I =179.2°/-59.9° (α95 = 5.2°) for 27 normally magnetized flows and 28 reversibly magnetized flows, respectively. It indicates that since the Early Cretaceous there is no significant horizontal movement and rotation between the Yixian-Fuxin area and Eurasia. However, Korea Peninsula may have undergone a clockwise rotation of 33.9° relative to the Yixian-Fuxin area during the Cretaceous. | 4 | A Positioning System based on Communication Satellites and the Chinese Area Positioning System(CAPS)显示文摘The Chinese Area Positioning System(CAPS) is a positioning system based on satellite communication that is fundamentally different from the 3'G'(GPS,GLONASS and GALILEO) systems.The latter use special-purpose navigation satellites to broadcast navi-gation information generated on-board to users,while the CAPS transfers ground-generated navigation information to users via the communication satellite.In order to achieve accurate Positioning,Velocity and Time(PVT),the CAPS employs the following strategies to over-come the three main obstacles caused by using the communication satellite:(a) by real-time following-up frequency stabilization to achieve stable frequency;(b) by using a single carrier in the transponder with 36 MHz band-width to gain sufficient power;(c) by incorporating Decommissioned Geostationary Orbit communication satellite(DGEO),barometric pressure and Inclined Geostationary Orbit communication satellite(IGSO) to achieve the 3-D posi-tioning.Furthermore,the abundant transponders available on DGEO can be used to realize the large capacity of communication as well as the integrated navigation and communication.With the communication functions incorporated,five new functions appear in the CAPS:(1) combination of navigation and communication;(2) combination of navigation and high accu-racy orbit measurement;(3) combination of navigation message and wide/local area differen-tial processing;(4) combination of the switching of satellites,frequencies and codes;and(5) combination of the navigation message and the barometric altimetry.The CAPS is thereby labelled a PVT5C system of high accuracy.In order to validate the working principle and the performance of the CAPS,a trial system was established in the course of two years at a cost of about 20 million dollars.The trial constellation consists of two GEO satellites located at E87.5° and E110.5°,two DGEOs located at E130° and E142°,as well as barometric altimetry as a virtual satellite.Static and dynamic performance tests were completed for the Eastern,the Western,the Northern,the Southern and the Middle regions of China.The evaluation results are as follows:(1) land static test,plane accuracy range:C/A code,15~25m;P code,5~10 meters;altitude accuracy range,1~3 m;(2) land dynamic test,plane accuracy range,C/A code,15~25m;P code,8~10m;(3) velocity accuracy,C/A code,0.13~0.3ms-1,P code,0.15~0.17ms-1;(4) timing accuracy,C/A code,160ns,P code,13 ns;(5) timing compared accuracy of Two Way Satellite Time and Frequency Transfer(TWSTFT),average accuracy,0.068ns;(6) random error of the satellite ranging,10.7 mm;(7) orbit determination accuracy,better than 2 m.The above stated random error is 1σ error.At present,this system is used as a preliminary operational system and a complete system with 3 GEO,3 DGEO and 3 IGSO is being established. | Guo-Xiang Ai Hu-Li Shi Hai-Tao Wu Yi-Hua Yan Yu-Jing Bian Yong-Hui Hu Zhi-Gang Li Ji Guo Xian-De Cai | 2008 | Chinese Journal of Astronomy and Astrophysics2008，8，6： | 33 |
| 5 | Development of a national VNIR soil-spectral library for soil classification and prediction of organic matter concentrations显示文摘Soil visible-near infrared diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(vis-NIR DRS)has become an important area of research in the fields of remote and proximal soil sensing.The technique is considered to be particularly useful for acquiring data for soil digital mapping,precision agriculture and soil survey.In this study,1581 soil samples were collected from 14 provinces in China,including Tibet,Xinjiang,Heilongjiang,and Hainan.The samples represent 16 soil groups of the Genetic Soil Classification of China.After air-drying and sieving,the diffuse reflectance spectra of the samples were measured under laboratory conditions in the range between 350 and 2500 nm using a portable vis-NIR spectrometer.All the soil spectra were smoothed using the Savitzky-Golay method with first derivatives before performing multivariate data analyses.The spectra were compressed using principal components analysis and the fuzzy k-means method was used to calculate the optimal soil spectral classification.The scores of the principal component analyses were classified into five clusters that describe the mineral and organic composition of the soils.The results on the classification of the spectra are comparable to the results of other similar research.Spectroscopic predictions of soil organic matter concentrations used a combination of the soil spectral classification with multivariate calibration using partial least squares regression(PLSR).This combination significantly improved the predictions of soil organic matter(R2=0.899;RPD=3.158)compared with using PLSR alone(R2=0.697;RPD=1.817). | SHI Zhou WANG QianLong PENG Jie JI WenJun LIU HuanJun LI Xi Raphael A VISCARRA ROSSEL | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014，57，7： | 32 |

| 7 | Artesunate synergizes with sorafenib to induce ferroptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Sorafenib is the first-line medication for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),but it can only extend limited survival.It is imperative to find a combination strategy to increase sorafenib efficacy.Artesunate is such a preferred candidate,because artesunate is clinically well-tolerated and more importantly both drugs can induce ferroptosis through different mechanisms.In this study we investigated the combined effect of sorafenib and artesunate in inducing ferroptosis of HCC and elucidated the involved molecular mechanisms.We showed that artesunate greatly enhanced the anticancer effects of low dose of sorafenib against Huh7,SNU-449,and SNU-182 HCC cell lines in vitro and against Huh7 cell xenograft model in Balb/c nude mice.The combination index method confirmed that the combined effect of sorafenib and artesunate was synergistic.Compared with the treatment with artesunate or sorafenib alone,combined treatment induced significantly exacerbated lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis,which was blocked by N-acetyl cysteine and ferroptosis inhibitors liproxstatin-1 and deferoxamine mesylate,but not by inhibitors of other types of cell death(z-VAD,necrostatin-1 and belnacasan).In Huh7 cells,we demonstrated that the combined treatment induced oxidative stress and lysosome-mediated ferritinophagy,two essential aspects of ferroptosis.Sorafenib at low dose mainly caused oxidative stress through mitochondrial impairments and SLC7A11-invovled glutathione depletion.Artesunate-induced lysosome activation synergized with sorafenib-mediated pro-oxidative effects by promoting sequential reactions including lysosomal cathepsin B/L activation,ferritin degradation,lipid peroxidation,and consequent ferroptosis.Taken together,artesunate could be repurposed to sensitize sorafenib in HCC treatment.The combined treatment can be easily translated into clinical applications. | Zhong-jie Li Hui-qi Dai Xiao-wei Huang Ji Feng Jing-huan Deng Zi-xuan Wang Xiao-mei Yang Yu-jia Liu Yong Wu Pan-hong Chen Huan Shi Ji-gang Wang Jing Zhou Guo-dong Lu | 2021 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2021，42，2： | 31 |

| 9 | Efficacy and safety of Xiangsha Liujunzi granules for functional dyspepsia: A multi-center randomized double-blind placebo-controlled clinical study显示文摘AIM To assess the efficacy and safety of a Chinese herbal medicine(CHM), Xiangsha Liujunzi granules, in the treatment of patients with functional dyspepsia(FD). METHODS We performed a randomized, double-blind, placebocontrolled trial with patients from three centers. Two hundred and sixteen subjects diagnosed with FD according to ROME Ⅲ criteria and confirmed by upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and spleen-deficiency and Qi-stagnation syndrome were selected to receive Xiangsha Liujunzi granules or placebo for 4 wk in a 2:1 ratio by blocked randomization. The subjects also received follow-up after the 4-wk intervention. Herbal or placebo granules were dissolved in 300 m L of water. Participants in both groups were administered 130 m L(45 ℃) three times a day. Participants were evaluated prior to and following 4 wk of the intervention in terms of changes in the postprandial discomfort severity scale(PDSS) score, clinical global impression(CGI) scale score, hospital anxiety and depression scale(HADS) score, traditional Chinese medicine symptoms score(SS), scores of various domains of the 36-item short form health survey(SF-36), gastric emptying(GE) and any observed adverse effects. RESULTS Compared with the placebo group, patients in the CHM group showed significant improvements in the scores of PDSS, HADS, SS, SF-36 and CGI scale(P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). | 11 | Clinical effects of innovative tuina manipulations on treating cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type and changes in cerebral blood flow显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To determine the clinical effect,treatment times,and rheoencephalogram changes in vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis patients treated with innovative Tuina manipulations.METHODS:One hundred and twenty six cervical spondylosis patients(vertebral artery type) were randomly divided into test and control groups.Patients in the test group were treated with innovative Tuina manipulations,while those in the control group were treated with the routine Tuina manipulations according to the textbook of Chinese Massage for Acupuncture and Moxibustion majors.The clinical effects,treatment times,clinical symptoms,and cerebral blood flow were measured.RESULTS:The response to the treatment was 100% in the test group and 88.71% in the control group.Patients in the test group required(7 ± 4) treatments before recovery,while those in the control group required(15 ± 7) treatments before recovery(P<0.05).The clinical symptoms exhibited greater improvement in the test group compared to the control group(P<0.05).There were no differences in cerebral blood flow between the two groups.CONCLUSION:Both innovative Tuina manipulations and routine Tuina manipulations produced satisfactory therapeutic results in vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis patients.However,the innovative manipulation was more effective in improving the functional symptoms,although there were no changes in the cerebral blood flow. | Quanmao Ding Mingru Yan Ji Zhou Lu Yang Jiang Guo Jun Wang Zhiyong Shi Yixi Wang Hongsheng Zhao | 2012 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012，32，3： | 24 |
| 12 | Features of the EAP events on the medium-range evolution process and the mid-and high-latitude Rossby wave activities during the Meiyu period显示文摘In this paper,features for the evolution of the East Asia/Pacific(EAP) events and their association with high-and mid-latitude Rossby waves during the Meiyu period are analyzed on the medium-range time scale.It is shown that life cycles of the positive and negative EAP events cannot be simply regarded as 'mirror' each other.In the upper troposphere,downward propagations of Rossby wave packets both over high-and mid-latitude regions of Eurasian continent and over the Asian jet region are responsible for generating basic patterns of high-and mid-latitude anomaly centers of the events.In this layer,Rossby wave packets also propagate from the mid-latitude anomaly center to the high-latitude one.In the middle and lower troposphere,the formation of the subtropical anomaly center of the event is mainly attributed to the anomalous convective activity in the tropical Pacific warm pool.The northward Rossby wave energy dispersion from this center is favorable to the enhancement and maintenance of the mid-latitude anomaly center in the same layer.Finally,it might be hypothesized that typical features of the positive and negative EAP events in their mature phase result from the interaction between(or phase-locking of) respective anomalous circulations induced both by quasi-zonal Rossby wave packets embedded in upper troposphere westerly and by quasi-meridional Rossby wave packets in the background flow of the East Asian summer monsoon in the middle and lower troposphere. | BUEH Cholaw SHI Ning JI LiRen WEI Jie TAO ShiYan | 2008 | Chinese Science Bulletin2008，53，4： | 23 |

| 14 | Moxibustion combined with acupuncture increases tight junction protein expression in Crohn's disease patients显示文摘AIM:To investigate the effect of herb-partitioned moxibustion combined with acupuncture on the expression of intestinal epithelial tight junction(TJ) proteins.METHODS:Sixty patients diagnosed with mild to moderate Crohn’s disease(CD)were allocated into the herb-partitioned moxibustion combined with acupuncture(HMA)group(n=30)or the mesalazine(MESA)group(n=30)using a parallel control method.There were 2 sets of acupoints used alternately for HMA treatment.The following points were included in Set A:ST25(Tianshu),RN6(Qihai),and RN9(Shuifen)for herb-partitioned moxibustion and ST36(Zusanli),ST37(Shangjuxu),LI11(Quchi),and LI4(Hegu)for acupuncture.The points for Set B included BL23(Shenshu)and BL25(Dachangshu)for herb-partitioned moxibustion and EX-B2 of T6-T1(Jiajixue)fo r acupuncture.The patients received the same treatment6 times a week for 12 consecutive weeks.The MESA group received 1 g of mesalazine enteric coated tablets4 times daily for 12 consecutive weeks.Intestinaltissues were stained and examined to compare the morphological and ultrastructural changes before and after the treatment session.Immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization assays were used to detect the expression of intestinal epithelial TJ proteins zonula occludens-1(ZO-1),occludin,and claudin-1.The m RNA levels were also evaluated.RESULTS:After the treatment,both herb-partitioned moxibustion combined with acupuncture and mesalazine improved intestinal morphology and ultrastructure of CD patients;the patients treated with HMA showed better improvement.HMA significantly increased the expression of ZO-1(P=0.000),occludin(P=0.021),and claudin-1(P=0.016).MESA significantly increased the expression of ZO-1(P=0.016)and occludin(P=0.026).However,there was no significant increase in the expression of claudin-1(P=0.935).There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups for the expression of occludin and claudin-1(P>0.05).The HMA group showed a significant improvement in ZO-1 expression compared to the MESA group(2333.34±352.51 vs 2160.38±307.08,P=0.047).HMA significantly increased the expression of ZO-1 m RNA(P=0.000),occludin m RNA(P=0.017),and claudin-1 m RNA(P=0.017).MESA significantly increased the expression of ZO-1 m RNA(P=0.000),occludin m RNA(P=0.042),and claudin-1 m RNA(P=0.041).There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in the expression of occludin and claudin-1 m RNA(P>0.05).However,the HMA group showed a significant improvement in ZO-1 m RNA expression compared with the MESA group(2378.17±308.77 vs 2200.56±281.88,P=0.023).CONCLUSION:HMA can repair intestinal epithelial barrier lesions and relieve inflammation by upregulating the expression of TJ proteins and their m RNAs. | Hai-Xia Shang An-Qi Wang Chun-Hui Bao Huan-Gan Wu Wei-Feng Chen Lu-Yi Wu Rong Ji Ji-Meng Zhao Yin Shi | 2015 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2015，21，16： | 23 |

| 16 | Epidemiology of Diabetes in Adults Aged 35 and Older from Shanghai,China显示文摘Objective This study aimed to investigate the epidemiology of diabetes in adults from Shanghai, aged 35 and older, in 2013. Methods We estimated the diabetes prevalence in a representative sample of 18,736 adults who were selected through a multistage stratified cluster sampling process. A standard questionnaire containing questions about demographic characteristics and lifestyle factors was distributed. After an overnight fast of at least 10 hours, a venous blood sample was collected from each participant. For each patient without a history of diabetes, another blood sample was drawn 120 min after an oral glucose tolerance test to identify undiagnosed diabetes and prediabetic condition. Results Among Shanghai residents aged 35 and above, the overall weighted prevalence of diabetes was 17.6% [95% confidence interval(CI): 16.4%-18.8%]. The prevalences were 19.3% in men and 15.8% in women as well as 19.1%, 15.4%, and 16.1% in urban, suburban, and rural residents, respectively. In addition, the weighted prevalence of prediabetes was 16.5%(95% CI: 15.3%-17.8%), with the prevalences of 16.5% in men, 16.6% in women, 15.2% in urban residents, 18.0% in suburban residents, and 18.5% in rural residents. Among all patients with diabetes, 68.1%(95% CI: 64.3%-71.6%) were aware of their status, 63.5%(95% CI: 60.0%-66.9%) received diabetes treatment, but only 35.1%(95% CI: 32.4%-37.8%) had adequate glycemic control. Conclusion In Shanghai, diabetes and prediabetes are highly prevalent. | 17 | Clinical and experimental study on regional administration of phosphorus32 glassmicrospheres in treating hepatic carcinoma显示文摘AIM To study the therapeutical effectiveness, dosage range and toxic adverse effects of domestic phosphorus 32 glass microsphere and evaluate its clinical significance. METHODS Ⅰ. Fifty two BALB/*!c tumor bearing male nude mice were allocated into treatment group( n =38) and control group( n =14). In the former group different doses of 32 P GMS were injected into the tumor mass, while in the latter 31 P GMS or no treatment was given. The experimental animals were sacrificed in batches, and then the tumors and their nearby tissues were examined by light and electron microscopy. Ⅱ. Through selective catheterization of hepatic artery, 32 P GMS was infused to 5 healthy domestic pigs in a dosage equivalent to the therapeutic dose for human being, and 31 P GMS was infused to another 5 healthy domestic pigs. Two pigs infused with contrast medium served as whole course blank controls. One pig from each group was surrendered to euthanasia at week 1, 4, 8 and 16 respectively. The ultrastructural histopath ological changes in liver tissues taken from different sites were evaluated semiquan titatively. Ⅲ. One hundred and twenty seven times of 32 P GMS intrahepatic artery interventional therapies were performed on 93 patients with hepatic carcinoma, including 79 cases of primary hepatic carcinoma and 14 cases of secondary hepatic carcinoma. 32 P GMS ( n =30), and group B, 32 P GMS and half dose of trans hepatic artery embolization (TAE) ( n =49) , and 18 patients with HCC by TAE only as control group C. Fourteen patients with secondary hepatic carcinoma were treated in the same way as group B or C. RESULTS Ⅰ. Comparing with the control group, the treatment group of tumor bearing nude mice attained the tumor inhibition rates of 59 7%-93 7% ( F =579 62, P <0 01) at 14*!d . At an absorbed dose of 7320Gy, the tumor cells were completely destroyed. When the absorbed doses ranged from 1830Gy to 3660Gy, most of the tumor cells showed the evidences of injury or necrosis, but there appeared some well differentiated tumor cells and enhanced effect of the autoimmunocytes. At an absorbed dose of 366Gy or less, some tumor cells still remained active proliferative ability. The definite anticancer effect appeared as early as 3d after intratumoral injection of 32 P GMS. Ⅱ. The cumulative amount of 32 P GMS in the target tissue after trans hepatic artery instillation attained more than 90% of the total dose administrated. Semiquantitative analysis of ultrastructral morphology in the experimental group showed no statistical difference between the nuclear abnormality (N abn ) and mitochondrial variability (M var ) at week 1 or 2, but revealed prominent difference (χ 2=6 70-9 68, P <0 01 , χ 2=65 09-115 09, P <0 001 ) as compared with those in the other groups. In the experimental group the N abn in tissues showed no significant difference between week 8 and week 16. No apparent changes were found in the stomach, spleen, kidney and lung tissues of the experimental pigs. Ⅲ. The therapeutical results of HCC patients in group A were closely approximated to those of group C, no hematological toxic side effects were noted, and the systemic reaction was mild. In some patients 2*!mos - 3*!mos after treatment some secondary foci appeared around the periphery of the primary lesion. In general better effectiveness was obtained in patients with small lesion. After analyzing by RIDIT method, the therapeutic result in group B was significantly better than that in group C, and secondary foci around the original lesion were rarely seen at 3*!mos after treatment. In group C the collateral circulation was reestablished along the periphery of primary foci and the secondary foci appeared more frequently, and required to undergo several courses of treatment. | 18 | The principle of the positioning system based on communication satellites显示文摘It is a long dream to realize the communication and navigation functionality in a satellite system in the world. This paper introduces how to establish the system, a positioning system based on communication satellites called Chinese Area Positioning System (CAPS). Instead of the typical navigation satellites, the communication satellites are configured firstly to transfer navigation signals from ground stations, and can be used to obtain service of the positioning, velocity and time, and to achieve the function of navigation and positioning. Some key technique issues should be first solved; they include the accuracy position determination and orbit prediction of the communication satellites, the measur- ing and calculation of transfer time of the signals, the carrier frequency drift in communication satellite signal transfer, how to improve the geometrical configuration of the constellation in the system, and the integration of navigation & communication. Several innovative methods are developed to make the new system have full functions of navigation and communication. Based on the development of crucial techniques and methods, the CAPS demonstration system has been designed and developed. Four communication satellites in the geosynchronous orbit (GEO) located at 87.5°E, 110.5°E, 134°E, 142°E and barometric altimetry are used in the CAPS system. The GEO satellites located at 134°E and 142°E are decommissioned GEO (DGEO) satellites. C-band is used as the navigation band. Dual frequency at C1=4143.15 MHz and C2=3826.02 MHz as well as dual codes with standard code (CA code and precision code (P code)) are adopted. The ground segment consists of five ground stations; the master station is in Lintong, Xi’an. The ground stations take a lot of responsibilities, including monitor and management of the operation of all system components, determination of the satellite position and prediction of the satellite orbit, accomplishment of the virtual atomic clock measurement, transmission and receiving navigation signals to and from each satellite. In the north, the south, the east, the west and the center of Chinese main land, the function of CAPS demonstration system is checked and measured. In cars and on board the system is also checked and measured. The results are as follow: CA-code, horizontal positioning accuracy, 15-25 m (1σ), vertical, 1-3 m; P-code, horizontal positioning accuracy, 8-10 m (1σ), vertical, 1-3 m; velocity accuracy, CA-code, 0.13-0.30 m/s, P-code, 0.15-0.17 m/s; time accuracy, CA-code, 160 ns, P-code, 13 ns; determination accuracy of orbit ≤2 m. About 20 million US $ and two years are spent for the development of demonstration.
