3Establishment and functional characterization of the reversibly immortalized mouse glomerular podocytes(imPODs)显示文摘Glomerular podocytes are highly specialized epithelial cells and play an essential role in establishing the selective permeability of the glomerular filtration barrier of kidney.Maintaining the viability and structural integrity of podocytes is critical to the clinical management of glomerular diseases,which requires a thorough understanding of podocyte cell biology.As mature podocytes lose proliferative capacity,a conditionally SV40 mutant tsA58-immortalized mouse podocyte line(designated as tsPC)was established from the Immortomouse over 20 years ago.However,the utility of the tsPC cells is hampered by the practical inconvenience of culturing these cells.In this study,we establish a user-friendly and reversibly-immortalized mouse podocyte line(designated as imPOD),on the basis of the tsPC cells by stably expressing the wildtype SV40 T-antigen,which is flanked with FRT sites.We show the imPOD cells exhibit long-term high proliferative activity,which can be effectively reversed by FLP recombinase.The imPOD cells express most podocyte-related markers,including WT-1,Nephrin,Tubulin and Vinculin,but not differentiation marker Synaptopodin.The imPOD cells do not form tumor-like masses in vivo.We further demonstrate that TGFb1 induces a podocyte injury-like response in the FLP-reverted imPOD cells by suppressing the expression of slit diaphragm-associated proteins P-Cadherin and ZO-1 and upregulating the expression of mesenchymal markers,a-SMA,Vimentin and Nestin,as well as fibrogenic factors CTGF and Col1a1.Collectively,our results strongly demonstrate that the newly engineered im-POD cells should be a valuable tool to study podocyte biology both under normal and under pathological conditions.Xinyi Yu Liqun Chen Ke Wu Shujuan Yan Ruyi Zhang Chen Zhao Zongyue Zeng Yi Shu Shifeng Huang Jiayan Lei Xiaojuan Ji Chengfu Yuan Linghuan Zhang Yixiao Feng Wei Liu Bo Huang Bo Zhang Wenping Luo Xi Wang Bo Liu Rex C.Haydon Hue H.Luu Tong-Chuan He Hua Gan 2018Genes & Diseases2018,5,2:5

5Incorporating Equity Concerns into Transportation Planning and Policies in Urban China: The Status Quo of Practice and Implications显示文摘Transportation equity is one of the most recent concerns toward sustainable urban development, which aims to help municipalities or local planning authorities incorporate equity issues into transportation planning and policies, avoiding multifaceted potential inequity outcomes. As for the urbanizing China, do the mainstream planning approaches fail to take equity issues into account? What are outcomes and the potential countermeasures based on Chinese cities' spatial and policy contexts? From the perspective of transportation equity, this article aims to examine the multidimensional effects related to equity concerns of urban transportation planning and policies in China. It suggests that the municipal government should enhance the service level of public transit and efficiently address the inequity issues of transportation systems. 6The 1 PW/0.1 Hz laser beamline in SULF facility显示文摘In this paper,we report the recent progress on the 1 PW/0.1 Hz laser beamline of Shanghai Superintense Ultrafast Laser Facility(SULF).The SULF-1 PW laser beamline is based on the double chirped pulse amplification(CPA)scheme,which can generate laser pulses of 50.8 J at 0.1 Hz after the final amplifier;the shot-to-shot energy fluctuation of the amplified pulse is as low as 1.2%(std).After compression,the pulse duration of 29.6 fs is achieved,which can support a maximal peak power of 1 PW.The contrast ratio at-80 ps before main pulse is measured to be 2.5×10^-11.The focused peak intensity is improved by optimizing the angular dispersion in the grating compressor.The maximal focused peak intensity can reach 2.7×10^19W/cm2 even with an f/26.5 off-axis parabolic mirror.The horizontal and vertical angular pointing fluctuations in 1 h are measured to be 1.89 and 2.45μrad,respectively.The moderate repetition rate and the good stability are desirable characteristics for lasermatter interactions.The SULF-1 PW laser beamline is now in the phase of commissioning,and preliminary experiments of particle acceleration and secondary radiation under 300–400 TW/0.1 Hz laser condition have been implemented.The progress on the experiments and the daily stable operation of the laser demonstrate the availability of the SULF-1 PW beamline.Zongxin Zhang Fenxiang Wu Jiabing Hu Xiaojun Yang Jiayan Gui Penghua Ji Xingyan Liu Cheng Wang Yanqi Liu Xiaoming Lu Yi Xu Yuxin Leng Ruxin Li Zhizhan Xu 2020High Power Laser Science and Engineering2020,8,1:2
7Nanocrystalline La2Mo2O9 and Its Characterization显示文摘In this work, both the thermal expansion and electrical conductivity of nanocrystalline La2Mo2O9 were studied.The nanocrystalline powder of La2Mo2O9 was obtained by sol-gel method, and with the help of SHP (superhigh pressure)up to 4.5 × 104 atm at 700 ℃ for a short time, and the nanocrystalline powder was densified without obvious particle size growth. The electrical conductivity of nanocrystalline La2Mo2O9 was one orderof magnitude lower than that of the microcrystalline sample at the same temperature. Owing to the phase transition, the microcrystalline La2Mo2O9 has an abrupt increase of thermal expansion with a peak value of 48 × 10-6 K-1 at 556 ℃. For the nanocrystalline material, the peak value increases to 112 × 10-6 K-1 at 520 ℃. 9Power,Society,and Living Space: Evolution and Formation Mechanism of Urban Streets in China显示文摘Being one of the most important elements of urban public space, streets have contained rich social lives as well as the social and political connotations in Chinese cities with specific local characteristics, while most of them have been long neglected in the researches focusing on grand narratives and center-based perspectives. The paper retrospectively analyzes the evolution process of urban streets in China, dividing it into four critical periods. 10High‑Performance Flexible Microneedle Array as a Low‑Impedance Surface Biopotential Dry Electrode for Wearable Electrophysiological Recording and Polysomnography显示文摘Microneedle array(MNA)electrodes are an effective solution to achieve high-quality surface biopotential recording without the coordination of conductive gel and are thus very suitable for long-term wearable applications.Existing schemes are limited by flexibility,biosafety,and manufacturing costs,which create large barriers for wider applications.Here,we present a novel flexible MNA electrode that can simultaneously achieve flexibility of the substrate to fit a curved body surface,robustness of microneedles to penetrate the skin without fracture,and a simplified process to allow mass production.The compatibility with wearable wireless systems and the short preparation time of the electrodes significantly improves the comfort and convenience of electrophysiological recording.The normalized electrode–skin contact impedance reaches 0.98 kΩcm^(2)at 1 kHz and 1.50 kΩcm^(2)at 10 Hz,a record low value compared to previous reports and approximately 1/250 of the standard electrodes.The morphology,biosafety,and electrical/mechanical properties are fully characterized,and wearable recordings with a high signal-to-noise ratio and low motion artifacts are realized.The first reported clinical study of microneedle electrodes for surface electrophysiological monitoring was conducted in tens of healthy and sleep-disordered subjects with 44 nights of recording(over 8 h per night),providing substantial evidence that the electrodes can be leveraged to substitute for clinical standard electrodes.Junshi Li Yundong Ma Dong Huang Zhongyan Wang Zhitong Zhang Yingjie Ren Mengyue Hong Yufeng Chen Tingyu Li Xiaoyi Shi Lu Cao Jiayan Zhang Bingli Jiao Junhua Liu Hongqiang Sun Zhihong Li 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,8:1

14Synergistic Effects of Salt Concentration and Working Temperature towards Dendrite-Free Lithium Deposition显示文摘The lithium-(Li-)metal anode is crucial for developing high-energy-density batteries,while its dendritic growth and the low charge/discharge Coulombic efficiency in organic electrolytes hinder its practical application.Herein,we employed an in situ optical microscope to investigate the effect of the electrolyte concentration and the working temperature on the Li-plating/-stripping process.It is found that a higher concentration electrolyte can suppress its side reaction to improve the charge/discharge Coulombic efficiency,and a higher temperature can help lithium plate/strip uniformly with less lithium dendritic growth.An average Coulombic efficiency was obtained as high as 99.2%for over 150 cycles with a fixed plating capacity of 2 mAh cm^(-2) on copper foil in a 3 mol/kg ether-based electrolyte under 60℃,which provides an efficient and facile strategy for developing high-performance Li-metal batteries.Panlong Li Chao Li Yang Yang Chanyuan Zhang Renhe Wang Yao Liu Yonggang Wang Jiayan Luo Xiaoli Dong Yongyao Xia 2019Research2019,,1:1
15Data-driven design of high-performance MASnxPb1-xI3 perovskite materials by machine learning and experimental realization显示文摘The photovoltaic performance of perovskite solar cell is determined by multiple interrelated factors,such as perovskite compositions,electronic properties of each transport layer and fabrication parameters,which makes it rather challenging for optimization of device performances and discovery of underlying mechanisms.Here,we propose and realize a novel machine learning approach based on forward-reverse framework to establish the relationship between key parameters and photovoltaic performance in high-profile MASnxPb1-xI3 perovskite materials.The proposed method establishes the asymmetrically bowing relationship between band gap and Sn composition,which is precisely verified by our experiments.Based on the analysis of structural evolution and SHAP library,the rapid-change region and low-bandgap plateau region for small and large Sn composition are explained,respectively.By establishing the models for photovoltaic parameters of working photovoltaic devices,the deviation of short-circuit current and open-circuit voltage with band gap in defective-zone and low-bandgap-plateau regions from Shockley-Queisser theory is captured by our models,and the former is due to the deep-level traps formed by crystallographic distortion and the latter is due to the enhanced susceptibility by increased Sn4+content.The more difficulty for hole extraction than electron is also concluded in the models and the prediction curve of power conversion efficiency is in a good agreement with Shockley-Queisser limit.With the help of search and optimization algorithms,an optimized Sn:Pb composition ratio near 0.6 is finally obtained for high-performance perovskite solar cells,then verified by our experiments.Our constructive method could also be applicable to other material optimization and efficient device development.XIA CAI FENGCAI LIU ANRAN YU JIAJUN QIN MOHAMMAD HATAMVAND IRFAN AHMED JIAYAN LUO YIMING ZHANG HAO ZHANG YIQIANG ZHAN 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,9:1

18Skin care design for lithium metal protection with cosmetics introduction显示文摘Lithium metal anode(LMA)is the ultimate'Holy Grail'electrode for next generation high-energy-density batteries.Nevertheless,its instinct high reactivity is a formidable challenge and has intensified side reactions,destabilized the electrode/electrolyte interface and restricted the operating conditions strictly,thus hampering its practical application.Here,we'make up'the Li metal(M-Li)by constructing vaselinecoated layer by a simple dip-coating or casting method.With the chemically stable and hydrophobic vaseline protective layer,the stability of Li towards humid and corrosive atmosphere has been greatly improved.The M-Li guaranteed stable and prolonged cycling life after the anode suffering from corrosion in moist air(relative humidity-65%)or corrosive electrolyte(with 10,000 ppm H2O or S)both in symmetric cells and LiFePO4 full cells.This work illustrates a convenient,economic,and industrial applicable method for stable LMA.Yurong Tu Qingtao Ma Aoxuan Wang Xinyue Zhang Guojie Li Jiayan Luo Xingjiang Liu 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,9:1
