1Mobile Edge Communications, Computing, and Caching(MEC3) Technology in the Maritime Communication Network显示文摘With the increasing maritime activities and the rapidly developing maritime economy, the fifth-generation(5G) mobile communication system is expected to be deployed at the ocean. New technologies need to be explored to meet the requirements of ultra-reliable and low latency communications(URLLC) in the maritime communication network(MCN). Mobile edge computing(MEC) can achieve high energy efficiency in MCN at the cost of suffering from high control plane latency and low reliability. In terms of this issue, the mobile edge communications, computing, and caching(MEC3) technology is proposed to sink mobile computing, network control, and storage to the edge of the network. New methods that enable resource-efficient configurations and reduce redundant data transmissions can enable the reliable implementation of computing-intension and latency-sensitive applications. The key technologies of MEC3 to enable URLLC are analyzed and optimized in MCN. The best response-based offloading algorithm(BROA) is adopted to optimize task offloading. 2The precise regulation of different COR genes by individual CBF transcription factors in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘The transcription factors CBF1/2/3 are reported to play a dominant role in the cold responsive network of Arabidopsis by directly regulating the expression levels of cold responsive(COR) genes.In this study,we obtained CRISPR/Cas9-mediated loss-of-function mutants of cbf1$3.Over 3,000 COR genes identified by RNA-seq analysis showed a slight but significant change in their expression levels in the mutants compared to the wildtype plants after being treated at 4 °C for 12 h.The C-repeat(CRT) motif(50-CCGAC-30) was enriched in promoters of genes that were up-regulated by CBF2 and CBF3 but not in promoters of genes up-regulated by CBF1.These data suggest that CBF2 and CBF3 play a more important role in directing the cold response by regulating different sets of downstream COR genes.More than 2/3 of COR genes were co-regulated by two or three CBFs and were involved mainly in cellular signal transduction and metabolic processes;less than 1/3 of the genes were regulated by one CBF,and those genes up-regulated were enriched in cold-related abiotic stress responses.Our results indicate that CBFs play an important role in the trade-off between cold tolerance and plant growth through the precise regulation of COR genes in the complicated transcriptional network.Yihao Shi Jiaying Huang Tianshu Sun Xuefei Wang Chenqi Zhu Yuxi Ai Hongya Gu 2017Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2017,59,2:7
3Factors that determine catastrophic expenditure for tuberculosis care: a patient survey in China显示文摘Background:Tuberculosis(TB)often causes catastrophic economic effects on both the individual suffering the disease and their households.A number of studies have analyzed patient and household expenditure on TB care,but there does not appear to be any that have assessed the incidence,intensity and determinants of catastrophic health expenditure(CHE)relating to TB care in China.That will be the objective of this paper.Methods:The data used for this study were derived from the baseline survey of the China Government–Gates Foundation TB Phase Ⅱ program.Our analysis included 747 TB cases.Catastrophic health expenditure for TB care was estimated using two approaches,with households defined as experiencing CHE if their annual expenditure on TB care:(a)exceeded 10%of total household income;and(b)exceeded 40%of their non-food expenditure(capacity to pay).Chi-square tests were used to identify associated factors and logistic regression analysis to identify the determinants of CHE.Results:The incidence of CHE was 66.8%using the household income measure and 54.7%using non-food expenditure(capacity to pay).An inverse association was observed between CHE rates and household income level.Significant determinants of CHE were:age,household size,employment status,health insurance status,patient income as a percentage of total household income,hospitalization and status as a minimum living security household.Factors including gender,marital status and type of TB case had no significant associations with CHE.Conclusions:Catastrophic health expenditure incidence from TB care is high in China.An integrated policy expanding the free treatment package and ensuring universal coverage,especially the height of UHC for TB patients,is needed.Financial and social protection interventions are essential for identified at-risk groups.Chengchao Zhou Qian Long Jiaying Chen Li Xiang Qiang Li Shenglan Tang Fei Huang Qiang Sun Henry Lucas 2016Infectious Diseases of Poverty2016,5,1:6
4The protective effects of peptides from Chinese baijiu on AAPH-induced oxidative stress in HepG2 cells via Nrf2 signaling pathway显示文摘Antioxidant peptides have been widely reported.However,only a few reports have been published examining the antioxidant peptides derived from Chinese baijiu.In this study,6 novel peptides derived from Chinese baijiu were identified successfully using high-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupoletime-of-flight mass spectrometry(HPLC-QTOF-MS)with a concentration of 0.835–24.540μg/L.The underlying molecular mechanisms were investigated,and their cytoprotective effects were examined against 2,2’-azobis(2-methylpropanimidamidine)dihydrochloride(AAPH)-induced oxidative stress in Hep G2 cells.The results showed that these peptides exerted protective effects by suppressing reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation,preventing malondialdehyde(MDA)formation,and upregulating cellular antioxidant enzyme activities(SOD,CAT,and GSH-Px)in a dose-dependent manner.Further experiments proved that these peptides exerted antioxidant effects via Nrf2/ARE-mediated signaling pathway by promoting Nrf2 nuclear translocation,inhibiting ubiquitination,and enhancing transcription capacity of Nrf2 in Hep G2 cells.These findings provide the molecular basis for the effects of antioxidant peptides derived from Chinese baijiu,which is important for a deeper understanding of the relationship between human health and moderate drinking.Jiaying Huo Yuezhang Ming Huifeng Li Anjun Li Jiwen Zhao Mingquan Huang Weizheng Sun Jihong Wu Jinglin Zhang 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,6:3
5Different Effects of Fly Ash and Slag on Anti-Rebar Corrosion Ability of Concrete with Chloride Ion显示文摘In this paper,we have studied the anti-rebar corrosion ability of high-strength concrete(HSC),which were made by one or two mixed fly ash and slag.The different effects of fly ash and slag on concrete anti-rebar corrosion ability were discussed in chloride ion-contaminated condition.The results indicate that the effects of slag on concrete anti-chloride ion penetration ability are more excellent than that of fly ash at the same content.When the content of fly ash is 10%,the corrosion-inhibition action is not obvious;when the content is higher than 25%,this effect is remarkable.Corrosion-inhibition action of slag is better than that of fly ash.Slag is not like fly ash that has obvious effect on anode curves Tafer slope,so its contribution to restraining rebar in concrete corrosion is the result of high concrete anti-chloride ion penetration ability and binding chloride ion.Their 'superimposition effect' can be realized only at reasonable content and proportion condition.DING Qingjun GENG Jian HU Shuguang SUN Jiaying SUN Bingnan 2009Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2009,14,4:3
6A novel vector of topological and structural information for amino acids and its QSAR applications for peptides and analogues显示文摘A new descriptor, called vector of topological and structural information for coded and noncoded amino acids (VTSA), was derived by principal component analysis (PCA) from a matrix of 66 topological and structural variables of 134 amino acids. The VTSA vector was then applied into two sets of peptide quantitative structure-activity relationships or quantitative sequence-activity modelings (QSARs/ QSAMs). Molded by genetic partial least squares (GPLS), support vector machine (SVM), and immune neural network (INN), good results were obtained. 8Novel DYW-type pentatricopeptide repeat(PPR) protein BLX controls mitochondrial RNA editing and splicing essential for early seed development of Arabidopsis显示文摘In plants, RNA editing is a post-transcriptional process that changes specific cytidine to uridine in both mitochondria and plastids. Most pentatricopeptide repeat(PPR) proteins are involved in organelle RNA editing by recognizing specific RNA sequences. We here report the functional characterization of a PPR protein from the DYW subclass, Baili Xi(BLX), which contains five PPR motifs and a DYW domain. BLX is essential for early seed development, as plants lacking the BLX gene was embryo lethal and the endosperm failed to initiate cellularization. BLX was highly expressed in the embryo and endosperm, and the BLX protein was specifically localized in mitochondria, which is essential for BLX function. We found that BLX was required for the efficient editing of 36 editing sites in mitochondria. Moreover, BLX was involved in the splicing regulation of the fourth intron of nad1 and the first intron of nad2. The loss of BLX function impaired the mitochondrial function and increased the reactive oxygen species(ROS) level. Genetic complementation with truncated variants of BLX revealed that, in addition to the DYW domain, only the fifth PPR motif was essential for BLX function. The upstream sequences of the BLX-targeted editing sites are not conserved, suggesting that BLX serves as a novel and major mitochondrial editing factor(MEF) via a new non-RNA-interacting manner. 9Exosomes secreted from cardiomyocytes suppress the sensitivity of tumor ferroptosis in ischemic heart failure显示文摘Heart failure(HF)patients in general have a higher risk of developing cancer.Several animal studies have indicated that cardiac remodeling and HF remarkably accelerate tumor progression,highlighting a cause-and-effect relationship between these two disease entities.Targeting ferroptosis,a prevailing form of non-apoptotic cell death,has been considered a promising therapeutic strategy for human cancers.Exosomes critically contribute to proximal and distant organ-organ communications and play crucial roles in regulating diseases in a paracrine manner.However,whether exosomes control the sensitivity of cancer to ferroptosis via regulating the cardiomyocyte-tumor cell crosstalk in ischemic HF has not yet been explored.Here,we demonstrate that myocardial infarction(MI)decreased the sensitivity of cancer cells to the canonical ferroptosis activator erastin or imidazole ketone erastin in a mouse model of xenograft tumor.Post-MI plasma exosomes potently blunted the sensitivity of tumor cells to ferroptosis inducers both in vitro in mouse Lewis lung carcinoma cell line LLC and osteosarcoma cell line K7M2 and in vivo with xenograft tumorigenesis model.The expression of miR-22-3p in cardiomyocytes and plasma-exosomes was significantly upregulated in the failing hearts of mice with chronic MI and of HF patients as well.Incubation of tumor cells with the exosomes isolated from post-MI mouse plasma or overexpression of miR-22-3p alone abrogated erastin-induced ferroptotic cell death in vitro.Cardiomyocyte-enriched miR-22-3p was packaged in exosomes and transferred into tumor cells.Inhibition of cardiomyocyte-specific miR-22-3p by AAV9 sponge increased the sensitivity of cancer cells to ferroptosis.ACSL4,a pro-ferroptotic gene,was experimentally established as a target of miR-22-3p in tumor cells.Taken together,our findings uncovered for the first time that MI suppresses erastin-induced ferroptosis through releasing miR-22-3p-enriched exosomes derived from cardiomyocytes.Therefore,targeting exosome-mediated cardiomyocyte/tumor pathological communication may offer a novel approach for the ferroptosis-based antitumor therapy.Ye Yuan Zhongting Mei Zhezhe Qu Guanghui Li Shuting Yu Yingqi Liu Kuiwu Liu Zhihua Shen Jiaying Pu Yanquan Wang Changhao Wang Zhiyong Sun Qian Liu Xiaochen Pang Ao Wang Zijing Ren Tong Wang Ying Liu Jinhuan Hong Jiajie Xie Xin Li Zhonghua Wang Weijie Du Baofeng Yang 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,4:2
10Preliminary investigations into surface molecularly imprinted nanoparticles for Helicobacter pylori eradication显示文摘This paper reports investigations into the preparation and characterization of surface molecularly imprinted nanoparticles(SMINs) designed to adhere to Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori).Imprinted nanoparticles were prepared by the inverse microemulsion polymerization method.A fraction of Lpp20,an outer membrane protein of H.pylori known as NQA,was chosen as template and modified with myristic acid to facilitate its localization on the surface of the nanoparticles.The interaction between these SMINs with the template NQA were evaluated using surface plasmon resonance(SPR),change in zeta potential and fluorescence polarization(FP).The results were highly consistent in demonstrating a preferential recognition of the template NQA for SMINs compared with the control nanoparticles.In vitro experiments also indicate that such SMINs are able to adhere to H.pylori and may be useful for H.pylori eradication.Jiaying Han Yinjing Sun Jiapeng Hou Yuyan Wang Yu Liu Cao Xie Weiyue Lu Jun Pan 2015Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2015,5,6:2

13Effect of esculetin on bone metabolism in ovariectomized rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To determine the effect of an esculetin formulation(at 97.4% purity) on osteoporosis, and to investigate the potential underlying molecular mechanism(s).METHODS: Sixty specific pathogen free-grade female Wistar rats were randomly assigned to three groups: blank control(n = 12), sham(n = 12), and model(n = 36). The model group were bilaterally ovariectomized. The sham group had the tissue surrounding the ovaries removed, while the ovaries were retained. After 3 months, the model group was randomly divided into three subgroups: OVX(n = 12), positive control(n = 12), and esculetin(n =12). The positive control group and the esculetin group were intragastrically administered diethylstilbestrol(0.046 mgkd^(-1)), respec·kg^(-1)tively,·d^(-1)) or esculetin(384 mgg^(-1) once per day for 6 consecu··-tive days; medication administration was then stopped for 1 d, before being administered for another 6 consecutive days. All rats were treated for 3months. Samples were collected at the end of the treatment period. An Osteocore3 Digital 2D bone densitometer was used to test the bone mineral density, and histomorphometric analysis was performed to measure bone mass, bone formation,and bone resorption. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay analysis was used to measure the serum concentrations of interleukin-6(IL-6), osteoprotegerin(OPG), and receptor activator of nuclear factor-kappa B ligand(RANKL). Immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization were performed to detect the protein and mRNA expressions of OPG and RANKL in osteoblasts and bone marrow stromal cells.RESULTS: Compared with the OVX group, the esculetin group had significantly greater femoral bone mineral density and tibial trabecular bone volume,and significantly smaller trabecular resorption surface. The percentage of trabecular formation surface, average osteoid width, trabecular bone mineralization rate, and cortical bone mineralization rate did not significantly differ between groups. Compared with the sham group, the esculetin group had significantly decreased serum levels of IL-6and RANKL, and significant downregulation of RANKL protein and mRNA expression levels in osteoblasts and bone marrow stromal cells; however, there was no significant difference between groups in OPG.CONCLUSION: Esculetin can increase bone mass by upregulating RANKL expression in osteoblasts and bone marrow stromal cells, and decreasing serum IL-6 concentration. 17Classical swine fever virus NS5A protein antagonizes innate immune response by inhibiting the NF-κB signaling显示文摘The NS5A non-structural protein of classical swine fever virus(CSFV)is a multifunctional protein involved in viral genomic replication,protein translation,assembly of infectious virus particles,and regulation of cellular signaling pathways.Previous report showed that NS5A inhibited nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB)signaling induced by poly(I:C);however,the mechanism involved has not been elucidated.Here,we reported that NS5A directly interacted with NF-κB essential modulator(NEMO),a regulatory subunit of the IκB kinase(IKK)complex,to inhibit the NF-κB signaling pathway.Further investigations showed that the zinc finger domain of NEMO and the aa 126–250 segment of NS5A are essential for the interaction between NEMO and NS5A.Mechanistic analysis revealed that NS5A mediated the proteasomal degradation of NEMO.Ubiquitination assay showed that NS5A induced the K27-linked but not the K48-linked polyubiquitination of NEMO for proteasomal degradation.In addition,NS5A blocked the K63-linked polyubiquitination of NEMO,thus inhibiting IKK phosphorylation,IκBαdegradation,and NF-κB activation.These findings revealed a novel mechanism by which CSFV inhibits host innate immunity,which might guide the drug design against CSFV in the future.Jinfu Sun Jiaying Li Liming Li Haixiao Yu Ping Ma Yingnan Wang Jinqi Zhu Zezhong Feng Changchun Tu 2023Virologica Sinica2023,38,6:0
18Study on the chaperone properties of conserved GTPases显示文摘As a large family of hydrolases,GTPases are widespread in cells and play the very important biological function of hydrolyzing GTP into GDP and inorganic phosphate through binding with it.GTPases are involved in cell cycle regulation,protein synthesis,and protein transportation.Chaperones can facilitate the folding or refolding of nascent peptides and denatured proteins to their native states.However,chaperones do not occur in the native structures in which they can perform their normal biological functions.In the current study,the chaperone activity of the conserved GTPases of Escherichia coli is tested by the chemical denaturation and chaperone-assisted renaturation of citrate synthase andα-glucosidase.The effects of ribosomes and nucleotides on the chaperone activity are also examined.Our data indicate that these conserved GTPases have chaperone properties,and may be ancestral protein folding factors that have appeared before dedicated chaperones.Xiang Wang Jiaying Xue Zhe Sun Yan Qin Weimin Gong 2012Protein & Cell2012,3,1:0

20Classification and Prediction of Skyrmion Material Based on Machine Learning显示文摘The discovery and study of skyrmion materials play an important role in basic frontier physics research and future information technology.The database of 196 materials,including 64 skyrmions,was established and predicted based on machine learning.A variety of intrinsic features are classified to optimize the model,and more than a dozen methods had been used to estimate the existence of skyrmion in magnetic materials,such as support vector machines,k-nearest neighbor,and ensembles of trees.It is found that magnetic materials can be more accurately divided into skyrmion and non-skyrmion classes by using the classification of electronic layer.Note that the rare earths are the key elements affecting the production of skyrmion.The accuracy and reliability of random undersampling bagged trees were 87.5%and 0.89,respectively,which have the potential to build a reliable machine learning model from small data.The existence of skyrmions in LaBaMnO is predicted by the trained model and verified by micromagnetic theory and experiments.Dan Liu Zhixin Liu JinE Zhang Yinong Yin Jianfeng Xi Lichen Wang JieFu Xiong Ming Zhang Tongyun Zhao Jiaying Jin Fengxia Hu Jirong Sun Jun Shen Baogen Shen 2023Research2023,,4:0
