1Expansion of the Cathaysian Oldland through the Ordovician-Silurian transition:Emerging evidence and possible dynamics显示文摘Located northwest of the Jiangshan-Shaoxing Fault Zone,western and northwestern Zhejiang and northeastern Jiangxi provinces experienced major changes in bio-and litho-facies and paleogeography through the Ordovician-Silurian transition (late Katian,Hirnantian,and early Rhuddanian),as manifested by stratigraphic,paleontologic and synecologic records.Three geographic units under consideration are South,Central,and North areas.The western margin of the South area was occupied by the Huaiyu Mountains,whereas the other two parts were covered by the Zhe-Gan Sea during late Katian (Late Ordovician) time.In the early stage of the Changwu Formation deposition (late Katian),the sea was deepening northeastward,but with shallower conditions in the southwest and deeper conditions in the northeast.During mid to late stages of Changwu Formation deposition (latest Katian),the sea became much shallower and the sea bottom was uplifted substantially,which occurred somewhat prior to the global trend.During the Hirnantian (latest Ordovician) and early Rhuddanian (earliest Silurian),the study region became a shallow bay under expansion of the Cathaysian Oldland.There occurred a major drop of sea level and great changes in benthic biota with the occurrence of many new immigrants through the Ordovician-Silurian transition,which are closely related to a unique regional orogeny.The Yangtze and Cathaysian blocks may have amalgamated within the South China Paleoplate during this interval to cause the continuous uplifting and northwestward expansion of the Cathaysian Oldland.RONG JiaYu ZHAN RenBin XU HongGen HUANG Bing YU GuoHua 2010Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,1:37
2The prognostic and therapeutic implications of circulating tumor cell phenotype detection based on epithelial-mesenchymal transition markers in the first-line chemotherapy of HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer显示文摘Background:Epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)is implicated in the metastatic process and presents a chal-lenge to epithelial cell adhesion molecule-based detection of circulating tumor cells(CTCs),which have been demon-strated to be a prognostic indicator in metastatic breast cancer.Although evidence has indicated that heterogeneity of CTCs based on EMT markers is associated with disease progression,no standard recommendations have been established for clinical practice.This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic significance of dynamic CTC detection based on EMT for metastatic breast cancer patients.Methods:We enrolled 108 human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative metastatic breast cancer patients from the prospective phase III CAMELLIA study and applied the CanPatrol CTC enrichment technique to identify CTC phenotypes(including epithelial CTCs,biphenotypic epithelial/mesenchymal CTCs,and mesenchymal CTCs)in peripheral blood samples.Receiver operating characteristic curve analyses of total CTC count and the proportion of mesenchymal CTCs for predicting the 1-year progression-free survival(PFS)rate were conducted to determine the optimal cut-off values,and Kaplan-Meier analysis and Cox proportional hazards regression analysis were performed to investigate the prognostic value of the cut-off values of both total CTC count and the proportion of mesenchymal CTCs in combination.Results:For predicting the 1-year PFS rate,the optimal cut-off value of total CTC count was 9.5(Area under the curve[AUC]=0.538,95%confidence interval[CI]=0.418-0.657),and that of the proportion of mesenchymal CTCs was 10.7%(AUC=0.581,95%CI=0.463-0.699).We used the two cut-off values in combination to forecast PFS in which the total CTC count was equaled to or exceeded 10/5 mL with the proportion of mesenchymal CTCs surpassed 10.7%.Patients who met the combined criteria had significantly shorter median PFS than did those who did not meet the criteria(6.2 vs.9.9 months,P=0.010).A nomogram was constructed based on the criteria and significant clinicopatho-logical characteristics with a C-index of 0.613(P=0.010).Conclusions: The criteria, which combine the total CTC count and the proportion of mesenchymal CTCs, may be used to monitor therapeutic resistance and predict prognosis in patients with metastatic breast cancer.Xiuwen Guan Fei Ma Chunxiao Li Shiyang Wu Shangying Hu Jiefen Huang Xiaoying Sun Jiayu Wang Yang Luo Ruigang Cai Ying Fan Qiao Li Shanshan Chen Pin Zhang Qing Li Binghe Xu 2019Cancer Communications2019,39,1:15
3Occurrence and distribution of antibiotic resistance genes in the sediments of the East China Sea bays显示文摘The coastal area of the East China Sea has experienced rapid urbanization and industrialization in China since 1980 s, resulting in severe pollution of its environments.Antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs) are regarded as a kind of emerging pollutant with potential high risk. The sediment samples were collected from Hangzhou Bay(HB),Xiangshan Bay(XB), and Taizhou Bay(TB) to investigate the spatial occurrence and distribution of 27 ARGs and class I integron–integrase gene(intI1) in the coastal area of the East China Sea. The PCR results showed the frequent presence of 11 ARGs and intI1 in the sediments of the three bays. The qPCR results further showed that sulfonamide resistance was the most prevalent ARG type and antibiotic target replacement and protection were the most important resistance mechanisms in the sediments. Regarding the subtype of ARGs, sulI, tetW, and dfrA13 were the most abundant ARGs, in which sulI was higher in TB(based on both the absolute and relative abundances) and dfrA13 was higher in HB(based on the relative abundances). The network analysis revealed that intI1 had significant correlations with tetC, sulI, sulII, and blaPSE-1. Oil was the key connected factor, which had positive connections with sulI, sulII, and blaPSE-1. 6Super-resolution fluorescence-assisted diffraction computational tomography reveals the threedimensional landscape of the cellular organelle interactome显示文摘The emergence of super-resolution(SR)fluorescence microscopy has rejuvenated the search for new cellular substructures.However,SR fluorescence microscopy achieves high contrast at the expense of a holistic view of the interacting partners and surrounding environment.Thus,we developed SR fluorescence-assisted diffraction computational tomography(SR-FACT),which combines label-free three-dimensional optical diffraction tomography(ODT)with two-dimensional fluorescence Hessian structured illumination microscopy.The ODT module is capable of resolving the mitochondria,lipid droplets,the nuclear membrane,chromosomes,the tubular endoplasmic reticulum,and lysosomes.Using dual-mode correlated live-cell imaging for a prolonged period of time,we observed novel subcellular structures named dark-vacuole bodies,the majority of which originate from densely populated perinuclear regions,and intensively interact with organelles such as the mitochondria and the nuclear membrane before ultimately collapsing into the plasma membrane.This work demonstrates the unique capabilities of SR-FACT,which suggests its wide applicability in cell biology in general.Dashan Dong Xiaoshuai Huang Liuju Li Heng Mao Yanquan Mo Guangyi Zhang Zhe Zhang Jiayu Shen Wei Liu Zeming Wu Guanghui Liu Yanmei Liu Hong Yang Qihuang Gong Kebin Shi Liangyi Chen 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:7
7PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling orchestrates the phenotypic transition and chemo-resistance of small cell lung cancer显示文摘Small cell lung cancer(SCLC)is a phenotypically heterogeneous disease with an extremely poor prognosis,which is mainly attributed to the rapid development of resistance to chemotherapy.However,the relation between the growth phenotypes and chemo-resistance of SCLC remains largely unclear.Through comprehensive bioinformatic analyses,we found that the heterogeneity of SCLC phenotype was significantly associated with different sensitivity to chemotherapy.Adherent or semiadherent SCLC cells were enriched with activation of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway and were highly chemoresistant.Mechanistically,activation of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway promotes the phenotypic transition from suspension to adhesion growth pattern and confers SCLC cells with chemo-resistance.Such chemo-resistance could be largely overcome by combining chemotherapy with PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway inhibitors.Our findings support that the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway plays an important role in SCLC phenotype transition and chemo-resistance,which holds important clinical implications for improving SCLC treatment.Xuefeng Li Cheng Li Chenchen Guo Qiqi Zhao Jiayu Cao Hsin-Yi Huang Meiting Yue Yun Xue Yujuan Jin Liang Hu Hongbin Ji 2021Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,7:5

9Design of hexagon microstrip antenna for vehicle-to-vehicle communication显示文摘Considering the shortcomings of the existing vehicle-to-vehicle(V2V) communication antennas, this paper proposes a regular hexagon broadband microstrip antenna. By loading shorting pins and etching V-shape slots with different size at each angle of the regular hexagon patch, it realizes impedance matching and obtains better impedance bandwidth. The simulated results show that the relative bandwidth of this antenna reaches 35.55%, covers the frequency band of 4.74 GHz to 6.79 GHz. The antenna acquires an omni-directional radiation pattern in the horizontal plane whose out of roundness is less than 0.5 d B. In addition, the antenna is manufactured and tested, whose tested results are basically consistent with simulated results. 10High-efficiency extraction synthesis for high-purity copper nanowires and their applications in flexible transparent electrodes显示文摘Copper nanowires(Cu NWs)are considered an excellent alternative to indium tin oxide(ITO)in flexible transparency electrodes(FTEs).However,the mixed particles and surface oxidation of Cu NWs degrade the transmittance and conductivity of the electrodes.Therefore,highly purified Cu NWs without oxidation are vital for high-performance FTEs.Herein,a facile and effective purification process is introduced to purify Cu NWs in a water and n-hexane system,which takes advantage of the differences in hydrophilicity between Cu NWs and Cu NPs caused by their different adsorption affinities to octadecylamine(ODA).At the same sheet resistance,the transmittance of the purified Cu NW-based FTEs improved approximately 2%compared to that of non-purified Cu NW-based FTEs.Immersion of the electrode in glacial acetic acid removed the surface organics and oxides.After only 40 s of treatment,the sheet resistance dramatically decreased from 10^5 Ohm/sq to 31 Ohm/sq with a transmittance of 85%.In addition,the Cu NW-based FTE conductors showed excellent flexibility(remaining stable after 1000 bending cycles).The Cu NW-based FTEs were further applied to fabricate a flexible transparent heater.At a voltage of 10 V,the temperature of the heater reached 73℃,demonstrating the potential applications of this material in various fields.He Zhang Shang Wang Yanhong Tian Jiayue Wen Chunjin Hang Zhen Zheng Yilong Huang Su Ding Chenxi Wang 2020Nano Materials Science2020,2,2:4
11Hippocampal overexpression of TREM2 ameliorates high fat diet induced cognitive impairment and modulates phenotypic polarization of the microglia显示文摘Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)and Alzheimer's disease(AD)share several common pathophysiological features.Rare variants of triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2(TREM2)increase the risk of developing AD,suggesting the involvement of TREM2 and innate immunity in AD development.It is still unknown whether TREM2 is related to cognitive impairment in T2DM.Here,we investigated the effects of the hippocampal overexpression of TREM2 on cognitive in long-term high-fat diet(HFD)-fed mice.Male C57BL/6J mice were maintained on HFD for 50 weeks.TREM2 was overexpressed in the hippocampus 36 weeks after HFD feeding using adeno-associated virus vector(AAV)-mediated gene delivery.The results showed that the HFD feeding induced rapid and persistent weight gain,glucose intolerance and significant impairments in learning and memory.Compared with AAV-con,AAV-TREM2 significantly ameliorated cognitive impairment without altering body weight and glucose homeostasis in HFD mice.The overexpression of TREM2 upregulated the synaptic proteins spinophilin,PSD95 and synaptophysin,suggesting the improvement in synaptic transmission.Dendritic complexity and spine density in the CA1 region were rescued after TREM2 overexpression.Furthermore,TREM2 markedly increased the number of iba-1/Arg-1-positive microglia in the hippocampus,suppressed neuroinflammation and microglial activation.In sum,hippocampal TREM2 plays an important role in improving HFD-induced cognitive dysfunction and promoting microglial polarization towards the M2 anti-inflammatory phenotype.Our study also suggests that TREM2 might be a novel target for the intervention of obesity/diabetes-associated cognitive decline.Min Wu Maolin Liao Rongfeng Huang Chunxiu Chen Tian Tian Hongying Wang Jiayu Li Jibin Li Yuxiang Sun Chaodong Wu Qifu Li Xiaoqiu Xiao 2022Genes & Diseases2022,9,2:4
12Post-Synthetic and In Situ Vacancy Repairing of Iron Hexacyanoferrate Toward Highly Stable Cathodes for Sodium-Ion Batteries显示文摘Iron hexacyanoferrate(FeHCF)is a promising cathode material for sodium-ion batteries.However,FeHCF always suffers from a poor cycling stability,which is closely related to the abundant vacancy defects in its framework.Herein,post-synthetic and in-situ vacancy repairing strategies are proposed for the synthesis of highquality FeHCF in a highly concentrated Na_(4)Fe(CN)_(6) solution.Both the post-synthetic and in-situ vacancy repaired FeHCF products(FeHCF-P and FeHCF-I)show the significant decrease in the number of vacancy defects and the reinforced structure,which can suppress the side reactions and activate the capacity from low-spin Fe in FeHCF.In particular,FeHCF-P delivers a reversible discharge capacity of 131 mAh g^(−1) at 1 C and remains 109 mAh g^(−1) after 500 cycles,with a capacity retention of 83%.FeHCF-I can deliver a high discharge capacity of 158.5 mAh g^(−1) at 1 C.Even at 10 C,the FeHCF-I electrode still maintains a discharge specific capacity of 103 mAh g^(−1) and retains 75% after 800 cycles.This work provides a new vacancy repairing strategy for the solution synthesis of high-quality FeHCF.Min Wan Rui Zeng Jingtao Meng Zexiao Cheng Weilun Chen Jiayu Peng Wuxing Zhang Yunhui Huang 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,1:3

14Carbon quantum dots/BiVO_4 composite with enhanced photocatalytic activity显示文摘In this study, we report the facile fabrication of a carbon quantum dots(CQDs)/BiVO_4 composite with efficient photocatalytic activity. Due to the excellent upconversion photoluminescence, as well as the photo-induced electron transfer and reservoir properties of CQDs, the CQDs/BiVO_4 composite exhibited superior photocatalytic performance in the degradation of rhodamine B(RhB) under the irradiation of simulated solar light. 16Silurian integrative stratigraphy and timescale of China显示文摘Silurian is a period with the shortest duration in Phanerozoic except for the Neogene and Quaternary. It represents an important and unique interval when the biotic diversity recovered quickly after the end-Ordovician mass extinction, different paleoplates or terranes conjoined, big oceans disappeared or narrowed, climate and sea level changed frequently, global biotic provincialism became weaker, some primitive plants started to occupy the land. Silurian is also the first system of which all the chronostratigraphic stratotypes(i.e. the GSSPs) including four series and seven stages were established by the International Subcommission on Silurian Stratigraphy(ISSS). Nonetheless, during the post-GSSP studies conducted by ISSS in the middle1980 s, some Silurian GSSPs were found to have some congenital defects such as no index fossils available that hinder the high resolution subdivision and correlation on a regional or global scale. In this paper, based on the latest development of Silurian study in China, the progress in biostratigraphy, chronostratigraphy, event stratigraphy(such as facies differentiation, heterochrony of black shales, marine red beds, carbonate rocks and reefs), chemostratigraphy, and tectonic stratigraphy(e.g., widespread of the late Silurian rocks in South China and its tectonic implication) are systematically summarized. Some existing problems and the areas to be focused in future work are also discussed. It is suitable for chronostratigraphic study to concentrate not only on the boundary but also doing multidisciplinary analysis on the biotic, chemical, magnetic, environmental, and chronologic aspects, in order to enhance the reliability and the potential for regional and global correlation of a certain GSSP.Some important achievements are expected in these areas in the Silurian study in China:(1) ecostratigraphy and basin analysis of the Llandovery, and the correlation of integrative stratigraphy with a high resolution;(2) establishment of the Wenlock to Pridoli chronostratigraphic framework;(3) the chemo-and magnetic stratigraphy and the age of some key intervals and horizons;(4)further investigation on paleogeography and plate tectonics; and(5) origin and early evolution of the terrestrial ecosystem. 18Active oxygen species and oxidation mechanism over Ce-doped LaMn_(0.8)Ni_(0.2)O_(3)/hierarchical ZSM-5 in pentanal oxidation显示文摘Hierarchical ZSM-5(HZ)molecular sieves based on fly ash were synthesized using a method combining water heat treatment with step-by-step calcination.The coupling catalysts between La_(1-x)Ce_(x)Mn_(0.8)-Ni_(0.2)O_(3)(x≤0.5)perovskites and HZ were prepared through the impregnation method,which were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM),N_(2)adsorption,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),NH3-temperature programmed desoprtion(NH3-TPD),H_(2)-temperature programmed reduction(H_(2)-TPR)and O_(2)-TPD techniques and investigated regarding pentanal oxidation at 120-390℃to explore the effects of Ce doping on the catalytic activity and the active oxygen species of the coupling catalysts,meanwhile,the reaction mechanism and pathway of pentanal oxidation were also studied.The results reveal that Ce substitution at La sites can change the electronic interactions between all the elements and promote the electronic transfer among La,Ce,Ni,Mn and HZ,influencing directly the physicochemical characteristics of the catalysts.Moreover,the amount and transfer ability of surface adsorbed oxygen(O_(2)-and O-)regarded as the reactive oxygen species and the low temperature reducibility are the main influence factors in pentanal oxidation.Additionally,La_(0.8)Ce_(0.2)Mn_(0.8)Ni_(0.2)O_(3)/HZ exhibits the best catalytic activity and deep oxidation capacity as well as a better water resistance due to its larger amount of surface adsorbed oxygen species and higher low temperature reducibility.What’s more,appropriate Ce substitution can significantly enhance the amount of O_(2)-ions,which can distinctly enhance the catalytic activity of the catalyst,and moderate acid strength and appropriate acid amount can also facilitate the improvement of the pentanal oxidation activity.It is found that there is a synergic catalytic effect between surface acidity and redox ability of the catalyst.According to the in situ DRIFTS and GC/MS analyses,pentanal can be oxidized gradually to CO_(2)and H_(2)O by the surface oxygen species with the form of adsorption in air following the Langmuir-Hinshelwood(L-H)reaction mechanism.Two reaction pathways for the pentanal oxidation process are proposed,and the conversion of the formates to carbonates may be one of the main rate-determining steps.Jian Li Yingjie Shi Xiaoheng Fu Yun Shu Jiayu Huang Jinwei Zhu Gang Tian Jingnan Hu 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,9:2
19江苏省2000–2017年农业源氨气排放年际趋势估算显示文摘氨气是大气中的微量碱性气体,可以与酸性气体二氧化硫和氮氧化物的氧化产物发生化学反应,生成硫酸铵和硝酸铵等二次颗粒物。大量氨存在会加速细颗粒物的生成速率,在霾污染的形成过程中具有重要作用。畜禽养殖和氮肥施用是氨排放清单中最主要的两个排放源。江苏省农业源氨排放量居于国家大气污染防治重点区域各省市第一。本文利用排放因子法对2000–2017年江苏省农业源氨排放进行了估算,研究江苏省18年来氨排放的特征及变化趋势。结果表明,2000–2017年江苏省农业源氨排放平均78.08%来源于畜禽养殖, 21.92%来源于氮肥施用,并且排放趋势呈现波动式变化。2000–2012年氨排放呈现先降低后增加的趋势, 2007年出现最小氨排放为708.76 kt yr-1, 2012年出现最大氨排放为837.64 kt yr-1。2012–2017年呈现下降趋势, 2017年农业源氨排放为690.64 kt yr-1。本文对年际变化趋势进行了详细的估计,并提出了可能的应对措施,将为江苏省开展氨气排放控制提供科学基础。HUANG Jiayu XIONG Ruonan FANG Li LI Tianling SHEN Weishou 2020Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Letters2020,13,3:2
20Ethnobotanical study on medicinal plants from the Dragon Boat Festival herbal markets of Qianxinan, southwestern Guizhou, China显示文摘Dragon Boat Festival herbal markets in the Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of southwestern Guizhou have a long well-conserved history.These markets,which are a feature of Buyi and Miao traditional medicines,contain a rich diversity of medicinal plants and traditional medical knowledge.Today,people in southwestern Guizhou still believe that using herbs during the Dragon Boat Festival prevents and can treat disease.In this study,we identified the fresh herbal plants sold at the herbal markets of Xingren City and Zhenfeng County in Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture and quantified their importance.We identified 141 plant species(belonging to 114 genera and 61 families).The plant family with the most species was Asteraceae(14 species).Informants reported that most medicinal plants are herbaceous,with 95.7%of plants used for decoction and 30.5%used for medicinal baths.Medicinal plants are most commonly used to treat rheumatism,injury,and abdominal diseases.The utilization frequency index and relative importance values indicated that Artemisia argyi and Acorus calamus are the most important plants sold at herbal markets during the Dragon Boat Festival.The price of medicinal materials sold in the market may serve as an indicator of the conservation status of species in the region.These findings indicate that the Dragon Boat Festival herbal markets in the Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture fully embodies the characteristics of indigenous ethnomedicine and culture,and also exhibits the diversity of plant resources.We recommend that rare and endangered plants in this region be domesticated and protected.Wei Gu Xiaojiang Hao Zehuan Wang Jiayu Zhang Liejun Huang Shengji Pei 2020Plant Diversity2020,42,6:1
