2Effect of sintering temperature in argon atmosphere on microstructure and properties of 3D printed alumina ceramic cores显示文摘Alumina ceramics with different sintering temperatures in argon atmosphere were obtained using stereolithography-based 3D printing.The effects of sintering temperature on microstructure and physical and mechanical properties were investigated.The results show that the average particle size,shrinkage,bulk density,crystallite size,flexural strength,Vickers hardness,and nanoindentation hardness increased with the increase in sintering temperature,whereas the open porosity decreased with increasing sintering temperature.No change was observed in phase composition,chemical bond,atomic ratio,and surface roughness.For the sintered samples,the shrinkage in Z direction is much greater than that in X or Y direction.The optimum sintering temperature in argon atmosphere is 1350℃with a shrinkage of 3.0%,3.2%,and 5.5%in X,Y,and Z directions,respectively,flexural strength of 26.7 MPa,Vickers hardness of 198.5 HV,nanoindentation hardness of 33.1 GPa,bulk density of 2.5 g/cm^3,and open porosity of 33.8%.The optimum sintering temperature was 70℃higher than that sintering in air atmosphere when achieved the similar properties.He LI Yongsheng LIU Yansong LIU Qingfeng ZENG Kehui HU Zhigang LU Jingjing LIANG 2020Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,2:13
3LAG-3 expression on tumor-infiltrating T cells in soft tissue sarcoma correlates with poor survival显示文摘Objective: To elucidate the role and prognostic significance of lymphocyte activation-gene-3(LAG-3) in soft tissue sarcoma(STS).Methods: The expression of LAG-3 in patient and matched normal blood samples was analyzed by flow cytometry. The localization and prognostic values of LAG-3^+ cells in 163 STS patients were analyzed by immunohistochemistry. In addition, the expression of tumor-infiltrating CD3^+ T, CD4^+ T, and CD8^+ T cells and their role in the prognosis of STS were evaluated by immunohistochemistry. The effect of LAG-3 blockade was evaluated in an immunocompetent MCA205 fibrosarcoma mouse model.Results: Peripheral CD8^+ and CD4^+ T cells from STS patients expressed higher levels of LAG-3 than those from healthy donors.LAG-3 expression in STS was significantly associated with a poor clinical outcome(P = 0.038) and was correlated with high pathological grade(P < 0.001), advanced tumor stage(P = 0.016). Additionally, LAG-3 expression was highly correlated with CD8^+ T-cell infiltration(r = 0.7034, P < 0.001). 4Development and validation of an endoscopic images-based deep learning model for detection with nasopharyngeal malignancies显示文摘Background:Due to the occult anatomic location of the nasopharynx and frequent presence of adenoid hyperpla-sia,the positive rate for malignancy identification during biopsy is low,thus leading to delayed or missed diagnosis for nasopharyngeal malignancies upon initial attempt.Here,we aimed to develop an artificial intelligence tool to detect nasopharyngeal malignancies under endoscopic examination based on deep learning.Methods:An endoscopic images-based nasopharyngeal malignancy detection model(eNPM-DM)consisting of a fully convolutional network based on the inception architecture was developed and fine-tuned using separate training and validation sets for both classification and segmentation.Briefly,a total of 28,966 qualified images were collected.Among these images,27,536 biopsy-proven images from 7951 individuals obtained from January 1st,2008,to December 31st,2016,were split into the training,validation and test sets at a ratio of 7:1:2 using simple randomiza-tion.Additionally,1430 images obtained from January 1st,2017,to March 31st,2017,were used as a prospective test set to compare the performance of the established model against oncologist evaluation.The dice similarity coef-ficient(DSC)was used to evaluate the efficiency of eNPM-DM in automatic segmentation of malignant area from the background of nasopharyngeal endoscopic images,by comparing automatic segmentation with manual segmenta-tion performed by the experts.Results:All images were histopathologically confirmed,and included 5713(19.7%)normal control,19,107(66.0%)nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC),335(1.2%)NPC and 3811(13.2%)benign diseases.The eNPM-DM attained an overall accuracy of 88.7%(95%confidence interval(CI)87.8%-89.5%)in detecting malignancies in the test set.In the prospective comparison phase,eNPM-DM outperformed the experts:the overall accuracy was 88.0%(95%CI 86.1%-89.6%)vs.80.5%(95%CI 77.0%-84.0%).The eNPM-DM required less time(40 s vs.110.0±5.8 min)and exhibited encouraging performance in automatic segmentation of nasopharyngeal malignant area from the background,with an average DSC of 0.78±0.24 and 0.75±0.26 in the test and prospective test sets,respectively.Conclusions:The eNPM-DM outperformed oncologist evaluation in diagnostic classification of nasopharyngeal mass into benign versus malignant,and realized automatic segmentation of malignant area from the background of nasopharyngeal endoscopic images.Chaofeng Li Bingzhong Jing Liangru Ke Bin Li Weixiong Xia Caisheng He Chaonan Qian Chong Zhao Haiqiang Mai Mingyuan Chen Kajia Cao Haoyuan Mo Ling Guo Qiuyan Chen Linquan Tang Wenze Qiu Yahui Yu Hu Liang Xinjun Huang Guoying Liu Wangzhong Li Lin Wang Rui Sun Xiong Zou Shanshan Guo Peiyu Huang Donghua Luo Fang Qiu Yishan Wu Yijun Hua Kuiyuan Liu Shuhui Lv Jingjing Miao Yanqun Xiang Ying Sun Xiang Guo Xing Lv 2018Cancer Communications2018,38,1:9
5Periodical characteristics of baseflow in the source region of the Yangtze River显示文摘Baseflow,which represents the drainage of groundwater aquifers,is an essential component of runoff in hydrological basins.In the source region of the Yangtze River,the change of baseflow typically reflects the interactions between groundwater system and climatic factors in cold and arid areas.With modified Kalinen separation method,annual baseflow between 1957 and 2009 in this region was estimated and calculated.In comparison with the inner-annual variations of total streamflow,baseflow showed a weaker fluctuation.Before the 1980s,it was in a steady state;and after then,it demonstrated dramatic variations and large amplitudes.Based on the calculation results of baseflow,the real Morlet wavelet method was applied to reveal the periodical characteristics of baseflow as well as the precipitation and air temperature in the study area.It was found that annual baseflow has a 43-year trend as well as a 21-year period and a 7-year period.The 21-year period is most significant,with its wavelet coefficient having the largest fluctuation and amplitude.Summation of wavelet coefficients on these periods exhibits a similar change pattern with respect to that of annual baseflow.The summation curve takes a'W'shape,which means that the baseflow follows a four-stage sequence of descending–ascending–descending–ascending.As analyzed,the relationship among baseflow,precipitation and temperature is implied in the correlation between their normalized wavelet coefficients at different temporal scales.By the significant positive linear correlations both between precipitation and baseflow(correlation coefficient is 0.98)and between temperature and baseflow(correlation coefficient is 0.90)for the 43-year wavelet coefficients,it is suggested that the long-term increasing trends of precipitation and air temperature will lead to an increasing trend of baseflow.For wavelet coefficients of 21-year and 7-year periods,the positive linear correlation between precipitation and baseflow is significant.However,the correlation between air temperature and baseflow is not so evident,especially for the 21-year period.As a conclusion, correlation analysis with normalized wavelet coefficients showed that the change of annual baseflow was contributed mostly by the change of precipitation and secondly by the change of temperature.KaiZhu QIAN Li WAN XuSheng WANG JingJing LV SiHai LIANG 2012Journal of Arid Land2012,4,2:7
6Sorption of uranyl ions on TiO_2:Effects of pH,contact time,ionic strength,temperature and HA显示文摘Sorption of U(VI) onto TiO_2 as functions of pH, ionic strength, contact time, soil humic acid(SHA), solid-to-liquid ratio and temperature was studied under ambient conditions using batch and spectroscopic approaches. The sorption of U(VI) on TiO_2 was significantly dependent on pH and ionic strength. The presence of SHA slightly enhanced the sorption of U(VI) on TiO_2 below pH 4.0, while it inhibited U(VI) sorption in the higher pH range. U(VI)sorption on TiO_2 was favored at high temperatures, and the sorption process was estimated to be endothermic and spontaneous. Reduction of U(VI) to lower valent species was confirmed by X-ray photo-electron spectroscopy analysis. It is very interesting to find that U(VI) sorption on TiO_2 was promoted in solutions with higher back-ground electrolyte concentrations. In the presence of U(VI), higher back-ground electrolyte made more TiO_2 particles aggregate through(001) facets, leading more(101) facets to be exposed. 7Evolution of the East China Sea sedimentary environment in the past 14 kyr: Insights from tetraethers-based proxies显示文摘We reconstruct the environmental evolution of the East China Sea in the past 14 kyr based on glycerol dialkyl glycerol tetraethers(GDGTs) in a sediment core from the subaqueous Yangtze River Delta. Two primary phases are recognized. Phase I(13.8–8 cal kyr BP) reflects a predominantly continental influence, showing distinctly higher concentrations of branched GDGTs(averaged 143 ng/g dry sediment weight, dsw) than isoprenoid GDGTs(averaged 36 ng/g dsw), high BIT index(branched vs. isoprenoid tetraethers) values(>0.78) and a fluctuating GDGT-0/crenarchaeol ratio(R_(0/5), varied from 0.52 to 3.81). Within this interval, temporal increases of terrestrial and marine influence are attributed to Younger Dryas(YD)(ca. 12.9–12.2 cal kyr BP) cold event and melt-water pulse(MWP)-1B(11.5–11.1 cal kyr BP), respectively. The prominent transition from 8 to 7.9 cal kyr BP shows a sharp decrease in BIT index value(<0.4) and increase in crenarchaeol, which marks the beginning of phase II. Afterwards, the proxies remain relatively constant, which indicates that phase II(7.9 cal kyr BP-present) is a shelf sedimentary environment with high stand of sea level. Overall, the BIT index in our record serves as a good marker for terrestrial influence at the site, and likely reflects the flooding history of the region. The TEX_(86)(Tetra Ether Index of tetraethers consisting of 86 carbons) proxy is not applicable in phase I because of an excess terrestrial influence; but it seems to be valid for revealing the annual SST in phase II(21.6±0.9°C, n=49). 8Microstructure and tensile properties of DD32 single crystal Ni-base superalloy repaired by laser metal forming显示文摘In this work,the microstructure and tensile properties of DD32 single-crystal(SC)superalloy repaired by laser metal forming(LMF)using pulsed laser have been studied in detail.The microstructures of the deposited samples and the tensile-ruptured samples were characterized by optical microscopy(OM),transmission electron microscope(TEM)and scanning electron microscope(SEM).Due to high cooling rate,the primary dendrite spacing in the deposited area(17.2μm)was apparently smaller than that in the substrate area(307μm),and the carbides in the deposited samples were also smaller compared with that in the substrate area.The formation of(γ+γ’)eutectic in the initial layer of repaired SC was inhibited because of the high cooling rate.As the deposition proceeded,the cooling rate decreased,and the(γ+γ’)eutectic increased gradually.The(γ+γ’)eutectic at heat-affected zone(HAZ)in the molten pool dissolved partly because of the high temperature at HAZ,but there were still residual eutectics.Tensile test results showed that tensile behavior of repaired SC at different temperatures was closely related to the MC carbides,solidification porosity,γ’phase,and(γ+γ’)eutectic.At moderate temperature,the samples tested fractured preferentially at the substrate area due to the fragmentation of the coarse MC carbide in the substrate area.At elevated temperature,the(γ+γ’)eutectic and solidification porosity in the deposited area became the source of cracks,which deteriorated the high-temperature properties and made the samples rupture at the deposited area preferentially.Shiwei Ci Jingjing Liang Jinguo Li Yizhou Zhou Xiaofeng Sun 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,42,10:6
9Effects of scanning speed on microstructure in laser surface-melted single crystal superalloy and theoretical analysis显示文摘Scanning speed is a critical parameter for laser process,which can play a key role in the microstructure evolution of laser melting.In the laser melting of single crystal superalloy,the effects of scanning speed were investigated by experimental analysis and computational simulation.The laser was scanning along710 direction on(001) surface in different speeds.Solidification microstructures of dendrites growth direction and the primary dendritic spacing were analyzed by metallograph.Besides,a planar interface during solidification was taken into attention.Experiment results indicated that the primary dendritic spacing and thickness of planar interface decrease with the increase of speed.Through simulation,distribution of dendrites growth velocity and thermal gradient along dendrite growth direction were calculated,and the simulation of dendrites growth direction agreed with the experiment results.Additionally,a constant value was acquired which can be used to predict the primary dendritic spacing.Moreover,according to curve-fitting method and inequality relation,a model was proposed to predict the thickness of planar interface.Guowei Wang Jingjing Liang Yanhong Yang Yu Shi Yizhou Zhou Tao Jin Xiaofeng Sun 2018Journal of Materials Science & Technology2018,34,8:5

11Privacy-Preserving Relative Location Based Services for Mobile Users显示文摘Location-aware applications have been used widely with the assistance of the latest positioning features in Smart Phone such as GPS,AGPS,etc.However,all the existing applications gather users' geographical data and transfer them into the pertinent information to give meaning and value.For this kind of solutions,the user's privacy and security issues might be raised because the geographical location has to be exposed to the service provider.A novel and practical solution is proposed in this article to provide the relative location of two mobile users based on their WiFi scanned results without any additional sensors.There is no privacy concern in this solution because end users will not collect and send any sensitive information to the server.This solution adopts a Client/Server(C/S) architecture,where the mobile user as a client reports the ambient WiFi APs and the server calculates the distances based on the WiFi AP's topological relationships.A series of technologies are explored to improve the accuracy of the estimated distance and the corresponding algorithms are proposed.We also prove the feasibility with the prototype of 'Circle Your Friends' System(CYFS) on Android phone which lets the mobile user know the distance between him and his social network friends.Fei Ning Zhuang Yi GU Jingjing Cao Jiannong Yang Liang 2015China Communications2015,12,5:4
12A pH-sensitive supramolecular nanosystem with chlorin e6 and triptolide co-delivery for chemo-photodynamic combination therapy显示文摘The combination of Ce6,an acknowledged photosensitizer,and TPL,a natural anticancer agent,has been demonstrated as a useful strategy to reinforce the tumor growth suppression,as well as decrease the systemic side effects compared with their monotherapy.However,in view of the optimal chemo-photodynamic combination efficiency,there is still short of the feasible nanovehicle to steadily co-deliver Ce6 and TPL,and stimuli-responsively burst release drugs in tumor site.Herein,we described the synergistic antitumor performance of a pH-sensitive supramolecular nanosystem,mediated by the host–guest complexing betweenβ-CD and acid pH-responsive amphiphilic co-polymer mPEG-PBAE-mPEG,showing the shell–core structural micelles with the tightβ-CD layer coating.Both Ce6 and TPLwere facilely co-loaded into the spherical supramolecular NPs(TPL+Ce6/NPs)by one-step nanoprecipitation method,with an ideal particle size(156.0 nm),acid pH-responsive drug release profile,and enhanced cellular internalization capacity.In view of the combination benefit of photodynamic therapy and chemotherapy,as well as co-encapsulation in the fabricated pH-sensitive supramolecular NPs,TPL+Ce6/NPs exhibited significant efficacy to suppress cellular proliferation,boost ROS level,lower MMP,and promote cellular apoptosis in vitro.Particularly,fluorescence imaging revealed that TPL+Ce6/NPs preferentially accumulated in the tumor tissue area,with higher intensity than that of free Ce6.As expected,upon 650-nm laser irradiation,TPL+Ce6/NPs exhibited a cascade of amplified synergistic chemo-photodynamic therapeutic benefits to suppress tumor progression in both hepatoma H22 tumor-bearingmice and B16 tumor-bearingmice.More importantly,lower systemic toxicitywas found in the tumor-bearingmice treated with TPL+Ce6/NPs.Overall,the designed supramolecular TPL+Ce6/NPs provided a promising alternative approach for chemo-photodynamic therapy in tumor treatment.Yihan Wu Jingjing Li Xuemei Zhong Jinfeng Shi Yanfen Cheng Chenglin He Jiaxin Li Liang Zou Chaomei Fu Meiwan Chen Jinming Zhang Huile Gao 2022Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2022,17,2:4

14Systematic Hydrological Evaluation of the Noah-MP Land Surface Model over China显示文摘We evaluate water budget components-namely,soil moisture,runoff,evapotranspiration,and terrestrial water storage (TWS)-simulated by the Noah land surface model with multi-parameterization options (Noah-MP) in China,a large geographic domain challenging for hydrological modeling due to poor observational data and a lack of one single parameterization that can fit for complex hydrological processes.By comparing the model simulations with multi-source reference data,we show that Noah-MP can generally reproduce the overall spatiotemporal patterns of runoff and evapotranspiration over six major river basins,with the annual correlation coefficients generally greater than 0.8 and the Nash-Sutcliffe model efficiency coefficient exceeding 0.5.Among the six basins evaluated,the best model performance is seen over the Huaihe River basin.The temporal trend of the modeled TWS anomalies agrees well with GRACE (Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment) observations,capturing major flood and drought events in different basins.Experiments with 12 selected physical parameterization options show that the runoff parameterization has a stronger impact on the simulated soil moisture-runoff-evapotranspiration relationships than the soil moisture factor for stomatal resistance schemes,a result consistent with previous studies.Overall,Noah-MP driven by GLDAS forcing simulates the hydrological variables well,except for the Songliao basin in northeastern China,likely because this is a transitional region with extensive freeze-thaw activity,while representations of human activities may also help improve the model performance.Jingjing LIANG Zongliang YANG Peirong LIN 2019Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2019,36,11:4

16Epitaxial growth and oxidation behavior of an overlay coating on a Ni-base single-crystal superalloy by laser cladding显示文摘An overlay coating material was deposited on a single crystal superalloy SRR99 by laser cladding.The microstructure and oxidation behavior of this coating was investigated through scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD). The results indicated that although the composition of the coating was chosen based on the γ' composition in René N5 superalloy, the primary solidification phase of this coating during laser cladding was γ-Ni. Furthermore, under the laser cladding condition, fine parallel dendrites grew epitaxially in the coating from the substrate, indicating the single crystal structure of the substrate was reproduced. When the single crystal MCrAlY coating was oxidized at 1000?, both Al_2O_3 and Al_2O_3 formed during initial oxidation process. As the oxidation time proceeded, the presence of Al_2O_3 facilitated the formation of NiAl_2O_4 spinel oxide. Once the spinel was observed, it flourished and induced some porosity in the scale. 17Pingwei capsules improve gastrointestinal motility in rats with functional dyspepsia显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the mechanism of Ping-wei capsules(PWC) in improving gastrointestinal m otility in rats with functional dyspepsia(FD).METHODS: We established an FD model by stimu-lating semi-starvation rats via tail damping, provo-cation, and forced exercise fatigue. The FD model group was further divided into five groups accord-ing to the treatment received: normal saline, dom-peridone, low-dose PWC, mid-dose PWC, or highdose PWC. The effect of PWC on FD was evaluated by measuring gastrointestinal motility. Changes in leptin and cholecystokinin(CCK) were detected through enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, re-verse transcription-polymerase chain reaction, and immunohistochemistry.RESULTS: PWC significantly increased gastrointesti-nal m otility in FD rats. Furthermore, PWC signifi-cantly increased CCK m RNA and protein concentra-tions in the duodenum and antrum, decreased leptin protein concentrations in the duodenum, an-trum, and hypothalamus, and decreased CCK pro-tein concentration in the hypothalamus.CONCLUSION: PWC improves gastrointestinal mo-tor function in FD rats by decreasing the leptin con-centration in serum and the brain-gut axis, and by increasing the CCK concentration in gastrointesti-nal tissue. 18Tree species richness enhances stand productivity while stand structure can have opposite effects, based on forest inventory data from Germany and the United States of America显示文摘Background: In recent studies, mixed forests were found to be more productive than monocultures with everything else remaining the same.Methods: To find out if this productivity is caused by tree species richness, by a more heterogeneous stand structure or both, we analyzed the effects of forest structure and tree species richness on stand productivity, based on inventory data of temperate forests in the United States of America and Germany.Results: Having accounted for effects such as tree size and stand density, we found that:(Ⅰ) tree species richness increased stand productivity in both countries while the effect of tree size heterogeneity on productivity was negative in Germany but positive in the USA;(Ⅱ) productivity was highest at sites with an intermediate amount of precipitation; and(Ⅲ) growth limitations due water scarcity or low temperature may enhance structural heterogeneity.Conclusions: In the context of forest ecosystem goods and services, as well as future sustainable forest resource management, the associated implications would be:Tree species richness is vital for maintaining forest productivity.As an optimum amount of precipitation is accompanied by the highest productivity, changes in climatic conditions should be considered when planning.Resource limitations enhance structural heterogeneity, which in turn can have positive or negative effects on stand productivity.Furthermore, we discuss the difficulties encountered when analyzing different national forest inventories and large data sets.Laura Zeller Jingjing Liang Hans Pretzsch 2018Forest Ecosystems2018,5,1:3

20Variation of crystal orientation during epitaxial growth of dendrites by laser deposition显示文摘A nickel-based superalloy was deposited onto a single crystal substrate based on epitaxial laser metal forming(E-LMF). The microstructure development in two depositions has been researched. For the first time, the crystal orientation of dendrites varying beyond 20° was found when the dendrites deflected in deposition. In addition, a new grain boundary was found between different orientation dendrites in a grain, and the detected grain boundary angle was 23°.
