3A human circulating immune cell landscape in aging and COVID-19显示文摘Age-associated changes in immune cells have been linked to an increased risk for infection.However,a global and detailed characterization of the changes that human circulating immune cells undergo with age is lacking.Here,we combined scRNA-seq,mass cytometry and sCATAC-seq to compare immune cell types in peripheral blood collected from young and old subjects and patients with COVID-19.We found that the immune cell landscape was reprogrammed with age and was characterized by T cell polarization from naive and memory cells to effector,cytotoxic,exhausted and reg-ulatory cells,along with increased late natural killer cells,age-associated B cells,inflammatory monocytes and age-associated dendritic cells.In addition,the expression of genes,which were implicated in coron-avirus susceptibility,was upregulated in a cell subtype-specific manner with age.Notably,COVID-19 promoted age-induced immune cell polarization and gene expression related to inflammation and cellular senes-cence.Therefore,these findings suggest that a dysreg-ulated immune system and increased gene expression associated with SARS-CoV-2 susceptibility may at least partially account for COVID-19 vulnerability in the elderly.Yingfeng Zheng Xiuxing Liu Wenqing Le Lihui Xie He Li Wen Wen Si Wang Shuai Ma Zhaohao Huang Jinguo Ye Wen Shi Yanxia Ye Zunpeng Liu Moshi Song Weiqi Zhang Jing-Dong J.Han Juan Carlos lzpisua Belmonte Chuanle Xiao Jing Qu Hongyang Wang Guang-Hui Liu Wenru Su 2020Protein & Cell2020,11,10:10

6Center-configuration selection technique for the reconfigurable modular robot显示文摘The reconfigurable modular robot has an enormous amount of configurations to adapt to various environments and tasks. It greatly increases the complexity of configuration research in that the possible configuration number of the recon-figurable modular robot grows exponentially with the increase of module number. Being the initial configuration or the basic configuration of the reconfigurable robot, the center-configuration plays a crucial role in system’s actual applications. In this paper, a novel center-configuration selection technique has been proposed for re-configurable modular robots. Based on the similarities between configurations’ transformation and graph theory, configuration network has been applied in the modeling and analyzing of these configurations. Configuration adjacency matrix, reconfirmation cost matrix, and center-configuration coefficient have been defined for the configuration network correspondingly. Being similar to the center-location problem, the center configuration has been selected according to the largest cen-ter-configuration coefficient. As an example of the reconfigurable robotic system, AMOEBA-I, a three-module reconfigurable robot with nine configurations which was developed in Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), has been introduced briefly. According to the numerical simulation result, the center-configuration coefficients for these nine configurations have been calculated and compared to validate this technique. Lastly, a center- configu-ration selection example is provided with consideration of the adjacent configura-tions. 8Novel Surface Design of Deployable Reflector Antenna Based on Polar Scissor Structures显示文摘Space-deployable mechanisms can be used as supporting structures for large-diameter antennas in space engineering.This study proposes a novel method for constructing the surface design of space reflector antennas based on polar scissor units.The concurrency and deployability equations of the space scissor unit with definite surface constraints are derived using the rod and vector methods.Constraint equations of the spatial transformation for space n-edge polar scissor units are summarized.A new closed-loop deployable structure,called the polar scissor deployable antenna(PSDA),is designed by combining planar polar scissor units with spatial polar scissor units.The overconstrained problem is solved by releasing the curve constraint that locates at the end-point of the planar scissor mechanism.Kinematics simulation and error analysis are performed.The results show that the PSDA can effectively fit the paraboloid of revolution.Finally,deployment experiments verify the validity and feasibility of the proposed design method,which provides a new idea for the construction of large space-reflector antennas.Pengyuan Zhao Jinguo Liu Chenchen Wu Yangmin Li Keli Chen 2020Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2020,33,5:7
9Polar organic tracers in PM_(2.5) aerosols from an inland background area in Southwest China: Correlations between secondary organic aerosol tracers and source apportionment显示文摘PM_(2.5) aerosol samples were collected over 12 hr and 24 hr intervals in an inland background area, Gongga Mountain National Nature Reserve(hereafter shortened to Gongga), during the summer of 2011. Polar organic tracers, inorganic ions and meteorological data were measured. The purpose of this work was to investigate the variation patterns, formation and sources of the secondary organic aerosol tracers in the studied atmosphere. The average concentrations of isoprene oxidation products, α-pinene oxidation products, β-caryophyllinic acid, sugars, sugar alcohols and anhydrosugars were 88.6 ± 106.1, 3.6 ± 5.7,0.13 ± 0.30, 13.6 ± 13.1, 31.9 ± 31.4 and 14.8 ± 10.7 ng/m3 respectively in all aerosol samples.The aged α-pinene second organic aerosol(SOA) tracers(i.e., 3-hydroxyglutraric acid(3 HGA), 3-hydroxy-2,2-dimethylglutaric acid(HDMGA), 3-acetylpentandioic acid(APDA) and 3-methyl-1,2,3-butanetricarboxylic acid(MBTCA)) correlated significantly with each other in the 24 hr PM2.5 aerosol samples, indicating that OH· is the major factor controlling the formation of these α-pinene SOA tracers. Using the positive matrix factorization(PMF) model and the tracer-based source apportionment method, we calculated that isoprene oxidation products, α-pinene oxidation products, sesquiterpene oxidation products, biomass burning, fungi spores and anthropogenic SOA accounted for 21.9% ± 5.5%, 8.4% ± 2.1%, 3.0% ± 0.7%, 5.2% ± 5.3%, 5.0% ± 6.2% and 31.4% ± 7.8% of organic carbon respectively during the sampling period.Li Li Wei Lai Jinguo Pu Hengqin Mo Dongjue Dai Guilin Wu Shihuai Deng 2018Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,7:6
10Microstructure and tensile properties of DD32 single crystal Ni-base superalloy repaired by laser metal forming显示文摘In this work,the microstructure and tensile properties of DD32 single-crystal(SC)superalloy repaired by laser metal forming(LMF)using pulsed laser have been studied in detail.The microstructures of the deposited samples and the tensile-ruptured samples were characterized by optical microscopy(OM),transmission electron microscope(TEM)and scanning electron microscope(SEM).Due to high cooling rate,the primary dendrite spacing in the deposited area(17.2μm)was apparently smaller than that in the substrate area(307μm),and the carbides in the deposited samples were also smaller compared with that in the substrate area.The formation of(γ+γ’)eutectic in the initial layer of repaired SC was inhibited because of the high cooling rate.As the deposition proceeded,the cooling rate decreased,and the(γ+γ’)eutectic increased gradually.The(γ+γ’)eutectic at heat-affected zone(HAZ)in the molten pool dissolved partly because of the high temperature at HAZ,but there were still residual eutectics.Tensile test results showed that tensile behavior of repaired SC at different temperatures was closely related to the MC carbides,solidification porosity,γ’phase,and(γ+γ’)eutectic.At moderate temperature,the samples tested fractured preferentially at the substrate area due to the fragmentation of the coarse MC carbide in the substrate area.At elevated temperature,the(γ+γ’)eutectic and solidification porosity in the deposited area became the source of cracks,which deteriorated the high-temperature properties and made the samples rupture at the deposited area preferentially.Shiwei Ci Jingjing Liang Jinguo Li Yizhou Zhou Xiaofeng Sun 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,42,10:6
11Network-based reconfiguration routes for a self-reconfigurable robot显示文摘This paper presents a network-based analysis approach for the reconfiguration problem of a self-reconfigurable robot. The self-reconfigurable modular robot named 'AMOEBA-I' has nine kinds of non-isomorphic configurations that consist of a configuration network. Each configuration of the robot is defined to be a node in the weighted and directed configuration network. The transformation from one configuration to another is represented by a directed path with nonnegative weight. Graph theory is applied in the reconfiguration analysis,where reconfiguration route,reconfigurable matrix and route matrix are defined according to the topological information of these configurations. Algorithms in graph theory have been used in enumerating the available reconfiguration routes and deciding the best reconfigu-ration route. Numerical analysis and experimental simulation results prove the va-lidity of the approach proposed in this paper. 13The interaction and migration of deformation twin in an eutectic high-entropy alloy AlCoCrFeNi2.1显示文摘An eutectic high-entropy alloy consisting Al, Co, Cr, Fe and Ni elements was prepared by vacuum directional solidification technology. The alloy exhibits excellent comprehensive mechanical performance during tension at temperature range of 600–700℃. The microstructure reveals the intersection of twintwin is the prevailing deformation mechanism and the twins play a dual role in strengthening and toughening the alloy in the thermomechanical process. The deformation twin variants I and were formed by the edge dislocation 112 and the mixed dislocation 211 on the {111} crystal planes, respectively. Besides, the dislocation jogs and kinks caused by twin intersection on the slip planes can strengthen the alloy, which may contribute to the high strength(the tensile strengths at the 600°and 700°tensile tests are respectively780 MPa and 630 MPa.). 14Obstacle Avoidance and Multitarget Tracking of a Super Redundant Modular Manipulator Based on Bezier Curve and Particle Swarm Optimization显示文摘A super redundant serpentine manipulator has slender structure and multiple degrees of freedom.It can travel through narrow spaces and move in complex spaces.This manipulator is composed of many modules that can form different lengths of robot arms for different application sites.The increase in degrees of freedom causes the inverse kinematics of redundant manipulator to be typical and immensely increases the calculation load in the joint space.This paper presents an integrated optimization method to solve the path planning for obstacle avoidance and discrete trajectory tracking of a super redundant manipulator.In this integrated optimization,path planning is established on a Bezier curve,and particle swarm optimization is adopted to adjust the control points of the Bezier curve with the kinematic constraints of manipulator.A feasible obstacle avoidance path is obtained along with a discrete trajectory tracking by using a follow-the-leader strategy.The relative distance between each two discrete path points is limited to reduce the fitting error of the connecting rigid links to the smooth curve.Simulation results show that this integrated optimization method can rapidly search for the appropriate trajectory to guide the manipulator in obtaining the target while achieving obstacle avoidance and meeting joint constraints.The proposed algorithm is suitable for 3D space obstacle avoidance and multitarget path tracking.Li Chen Ying Ma Yu Zhang Jinguo Liu 2020Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2020,33,5:4
15Characterization of summer PM_(2.5) aerosols from four forest areas in Sichuan,SW China显示文摘Aerosol samples were collected over 24 and 12 h to represent day/night aerosol characteristics in forest areas at Ya'an Baima Spring Scenic Area(BM),Panzhihua Cycas National Nature Reserve(PZ),Gongga Mountain National Nature Reserve(GG),and Wolong National Nature Reserve(WL),during the summers of 2010-2012.Mass and chemical component concentrations,including organic carbon,elemental carbon,and inorganic ions(F^-,Cl^-,NO_2^-,NO_3^-,SO_4^(2-),C_2O_4^(2-),PO_4^(3-),K^+,Na^+,Ca^(2+),Mg^(2+),and NH_4^+),of PM_(2.5) aerosols were measured.The average PM2.5 concentrations for 24 h were 72.42,104.89,20.55,and29.19 μg/m^3 at BM,PZ,GG,and WL,respectively.Organic matter accounted for 38.0-49.3%,while elemental carbon accounted for 2.0-5.7%of PM2.5 mass.The sum concentrations of SO_4^(2-),NH_4^+,and NO_3^-accounted for 23.0%,17.4%,22.1%,and 30.5%of PM2.5 mass at BM,PZ,GG,and WL,respectively.Soil dust was also an important source of PM2.5,accounting for 6.3%,17.0%,10.4%,and 19.1%of PM2.5 mass at BM,PZ,GG,and WL,respectively.These reconstructed masses accounted for 75.9-102.0%of PM2.5 mass from the four forest areas of SW China.Hengqin Mo Li Li Wei Lai Min Zhao Jinguo Pu Yi Zhou Shihuai Deng 2015Particuology2015,13,3:4
16Effect of thermal exposure on the microstructure and creep properties of a fourth-generation Ni-based single crystal superalloy显示文摘The effect of thermal exposure on microstructure and creep properties of a fourth-generation nickelbased single crystal superalloy was investigated.The thermal exposure of samples after the full heat treatment was carried out at 1000℃,1100℃ and 1140℃ for 100 h and 200 h.The γ’ coarsening,γ’ rafting and γ channel widening were observed in samples after thermal exposure.When the thermal exposure time was constant,the morphology of γ’ phase in the alloy evolved significantly with increasing aging temperature.The interracial dislocation networks in aged samples after creep ruptured gradually became irregular and sparse with the increase of exposure temperature.When the higher exposure temperature was used,enla rgement of the defect pores was observed in samples,the microcracks were more likely to initiate and propagate at the corner of these pores.After aging at 1000℃ for 100 h,the creep life at 1140℃/137 MPa was slightly longer than that of heat-treated sample,which could be attributed to the slightly coarsened γ’ phase,homogenization of refractor elements.In contrast,the creep life of sample exposed at 1140℃ for 100 h was greatly decreased.The decrease of creep life was dominated by the rafting of γ’phase,the irregular interfacial dislocation networks as well as the enlargement of homogenization pores.Yeshun Huang Xinguang Wang Chuanyong Cui Zihao Tan Jinguo Li Yanhong Yang Jinlai Liu Yizhou Zhou Xiaofeng Sun 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,10:4
17On the γ' precipitates of the normal and inverse Portevin-Le Chatelier effect in a wrought Ni-base superalloy显示文摘The Portevin-Le Chatelier(PLC) effects in a wrought Ni-base superalloy with different γ' precipitates contents have been investigated. Detailed analysis on the serration type of the tensile curves indicates that the γ' precipitates have a decisive influence on the transformation from normal to inverse PLC behavior, which is rarely proposed in other works. 18Epitaxial growth and oxidation behavior of an overlay coating on a Ni-base single-crystal superalloy by laser cladding显示文摘An overlay coating material was deposited on a single crystal superalloy SRR99 by laser cladding.The microstructure and oxidation behavior of this coating was investigated through scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD). The results indicated that although the composition of the coating was chosen based on the γ' composition in René N5 superalloy, the primary solidification phase of this coating during laser cladding was γ-Ni. Furthermore, under the laser cladding condition, fine parallel dendrites grew epitaxially in the coating from the substrate, indicating the single crystal structure of the substrate was reproduced. When the single crystal MCrAlY coating was oxidized at 1000?, both Al_2O_3 and Al_2O_3 formed during initial oxidation process. As the oxidation time proceeded, the presence of Al_2O_3 facilitated the formation of NiAl_2O_4 spinel oxide. Once the spinel was observed, it flourished and induced some porosity in the scale. 19The causes and processes responsible for rocky desertification in karst areas of southern China显示文摘The karst region of southern China is a fragile ecological zone with widespread rocky desertification. This paper describes the rocky desertification occurring in this region in terms of both natural and anthropogenic factors. During geological time periods, the region's changing environment governed the natural rocky desertification processes, whereas during historical and modern times, anthropogenic processes have been superimposed on these natural processes. Human activities have accelerated and exacerbated rocky desertification. The period from the beginning to the middle of the Qing dynasty was an important transitional period in which human activities began to exert a particularly strong influence on rocky desertification. Since then, the effect of anthropogenic factors has increasingly exceeded the effect of natural factors. The rocky desertification process in southern China's karst region combines surface ecological processes (including vegetation degradation and loss, soil erosion, surface water loss, and bedrock solution) with a reduction of the land's biological productivity, leading to degradation that produces rocky desert. 20Effect of solution cooling rate on the microstructure and creep deformation mechanism of a rhenium-free second-generation single crystal superalloy显示文摘Various cooling scenarios(water,oil,air and furnace)were employed to study the impacts of the solution cooling rate(SCR)on the microstructure and creep behavior of a novel single-crystal(SX)superalloy.The results showed that the cubic degree and size of theγphases were inversely proportional to the SCR.The creep life first increased and then dropped dramatically with a reduction in the SCR.The creep life of the sample cooled with air cooling(AC)was the highest,up to 144.90 h at 800℃/750 MPa and160.15 h at 1100℃/137 MPa.During creep at 800℃/750 MPa,the improved creep life of the AC sample was mainly attributed to the fine cubicγphases,which decreased the rate ofγ-phase coarsening and favoured plastic deformation by promoting the active movement of dislocations.The AC helped theγphases become rich in Al,Ti and Ta while depleted in Co and Cr,which enhanced its stacking fault energy,thus promoting the formation of dislocation locks.Meanwhile,the largest negative lattice misfit caused by AC induced denserγ/γinterface dislocation networks at 1100℃/137 MPa,which efficiently reduced the minimum creep rate.The calculated average dislocation spacing results indicated that the smallest density of excess dislocations corresponded to the AC sample,proving its greatest creep resistance.Interestingly,the size of the secondaryγphases first decreased and then increased sharply with decreasing SCR during creep at 1100℃/137 MPa,when fine secondaryγphases had a positive role in the blockage of dislocation movement in the matrix.Eventually,the comprehensive SCR effect was explored to provide more guidance in the design of Re-free SX superalloys.Xipeng Tao Yunling Du Xinguang Wang Jie Meng Yizhou Zhou Jinguo Li Xiaofeng Sun 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,36:3
