1Efficacy and safety of the Qiguiyin formula in severe pneumonia: study protocol for a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Qiguiyin(QGY) formula in patients with severe pneumonia in China compared with a placebo.METHODS: This is a multicenter double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized clinical trial with two parallel arms. There will be 530 patients enrolled and randomized into either the experimental group(QGY formula) or the control group(placebo). Therapies for patients in the two groups above will be based on the conventional therapy. The primary outcome is 28-day mortality. Secondary outcomes include:(a) duration of hospital stay;(b) duration of time in the intensive care unit(ICU) stays;(c) duration of mechanical ventilation;(d) antibiotic DDD value(which means the doses of antibotics during the treatment period);(e) serum procalcitonin(PCT) level;(f) serum C-reactive protein(CRP)level;(g) Pneumonia severity index(PSI) score;(h)Sequential Organ Failure Assessment(SOFA) score;(i) sputum culture results;(j) blood routine examination results;(k) routine urine test results;(l) stool routine examination results;(m) electrocardiogram results;(n) alanine aminotransferase levels;(o) aspartate amino transferase levels;(p) total bilirubin;(q) creatinine levels;(r) urea nitrogen levels;and(s)adverse events.ETHICS AND DISSEMINATION: The protocol has been approved by the Research Ethics Committee of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Affiliated with Capital Medical University(2018 BL-053-02). This trial aims to provide evidence for QGY formula combined with conventional therapy in treating patients with severe bacterial pneumonia,and to verify the clinical effectiveness and safety of QGY formula in China compared with placebo. 2Recent research progress in wettability of colloidal crystals显示文摘The wettability of solid surfaces has attracted extensive interest in both theoretical research and industrial applications. This paper reviews recent research progress in the fabrication and applications of the colloidal crystals with special wettability. Based on the modified equation of Wenzel and Cassie, the colloidal crystals with special wettability have been obtained by either application of the intrinsic rough structure or modification of the surface chemical composition. 3A comprehensive review on natural phenolic compounds as alternatives to in-feed antibiotics显示文摘Intensive livestock and poultry farming in China largely relied on the use of in-feed antibiotics until July 2020.The consequences of antibiotic overuse in animal feed include accumulation in animal products and the development of bacterial antibiotic resistance,both of which threaten food safety and human health.China has now completely banned the circulation of commercial feed containing growth-promoting drug additives(except Chinese herbal medicine).Therefore,alternatives to in-feed antibiotics in animal production are greatly needed.Natural phenolic compounds(NPCs)exist widely in plants and are non-toxic,nonpolluting,highly reproducible,and leave little residue.Many natural flavonoids,phenolic acids,lignans,and stilbenes have polyphenol chemical structures and exhibit great potential as alternatives to antibiotics.In this review we delineate the characteristics of plant-derived NPCs and summarize their current applications as alternatives to in-feed antibiotics,aiming to provide new strategies for antibiotic-free feeding and promote the development of more sustainable animal husbandry practices.Jingxia Gao Zhe Yang Chongqi Zhao Xiongzhuo Tang Qian Jiang Yulong Yin 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,7:2
4Fuxin decoction attenuates doxorubicin-induced heart failure in rats via oxidizing suppression and regulating immune responses显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the effects of Fuxin decoction in rats with heart failure induced by doxorubicin injections.METHODS:We employed a doxorubicin-induced heart failure model to investigate the effect of Fuxin decoction.Rats were orally administered with Fuxin decoction from 10 to 40 mg/kg.Organization structure changes were assessed by histology,circulating levels of oxidative stress-related biomarkers and inflammatory cytokines were detected via enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.RESULTS:Administration of Fuxin decoction improved the growth retardation in doxorubicin hydrochloride injection rats.Cardiac involvement was alleviated by Fuxin decoction,as well as changes of congestion systemic circulation in this rat models.Furthermore,Fuxin decoction regulates immune responses and suppresses oxidation reaction in doxorubicin hydrochloride-induced rats.CONCLUSION:Fuxin decoction might be an interesting candidate for congestive heart failure.Guo Yuhong Di Tingting Zhao Jingxia Xu Xiaolong Li Ping Huang Lijuan Liu Qingquan 2018Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2018,38,4:2
5ABNORMAL SHOOT 6 interacts with KATANIN 1 and SHADE AVOIDANCE 4 to promote cortical microtubule severing and ordering in Arabidopsis显示文摘Plant interphase cortical microtubules(cMTs)mediate anisotropic cell expansion in response to environmental and developmental cues.In Arabidopsis thaliana,KATANIN 1(KTN1),the p60 catalytic subunit of the conserved MT-severing enzyme katanin,is essential for cMT ordering and anisotropic cell expansion.However,the regulation of KTN1-mediated cMT severing and ordering remains unclear.In this work,we report that the Arabidopsis IQ67 DOMAIN(IQD)family gene ABNORMAL SHOOT 6(ABS6)encodes a MT-associated protein.Overexpression of ABS6 leads to elongated cotyledons,directional pavement cell expansion,and highly ordered transverse cMT arrays.Genetic suppressor analysis revealed that ABS6-mediated cMT ordering is dependent on KTN1 and SHADE AVOIDANCE 4(SAV4).Live imaging of cMT dynamics showed that both ABS6 and SAV4 function as positive regulators of cMT severing.Furthermore,ABS6 directly interacts with KTN1 and SAV4 and promotes their recruitment to the cMTs.Finally,analysis of loss-of-function mutant combinations showed that ABS6,SAV4,and KTN1 work together to ensure the robust ethylene response in the apical hook of dark-grown seedlings.Together,our findings establish ABS6 and SAV4 as positive regulators of cMT severing and ordering,and highlight the role of cMT dynamics in fine-tuning differential growth in plants.Yuanfeng Li Meng Deng Haofeng Liu Yan Li Yu Chen Min Jia Hui Xue Jingxia Shao Jun Zhao Yafei Qi Lijun An Fei Yu Xiayan Liu 2021Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,4:2

9RNA-seq reveals hormone-regulated synthesis of non-cellulose polysaccharides associated with fiber strength in a single-chromosomal-fragmentsubstituted upland cotton line显示文摘Cotton fibers are the main raw materials of the textile industry.Exogenous superior fiber genes have been introduced into upland cotton to develop high-yield cultivars with excellent fiber quality.We used a single chromosomal segment on the chromosome A07 substitution line SL7,with high fiber strength,to investigate the molecular mechanism underlying its fiber quality.RNA-seq and KEGG analysis showed that 70 differentially expressed genes were enriched in plant hormone transduction pathways,including auxin,ethylene and abscisic acid,in fibers at 10 days post-anthesis(DPA).Among these,fiberdevelopment related transcription factors MYB and NAC,including Gh_A11G0981(MYB108),Gh_A03G0887(NAC029),and Gh_A08G1691(NAC021),were significantly upregulated in SL7,as were numerous cellulose synthase-like(CSL)genes involved in non-cellulose polysaccharide and cell wall synthesis.The hemicellulose content of SL7 was significantly higher than that of L22,an upland cotton cultivar.These results suggest that key genes in the introgressed chromosomal segment of SL7 regulate the expression of transcription-factor genes via hormone-transduction pathways,thereby inducing the expression of genes involved in secondary wall synthesis and ultimately improving fiber quality.This study has shed light on the molecular mechanism of fiber development and will contribute to the improvement of fiber quality of upland cotton by molecular breeding.Zhangqiang Song Yu Chen Chuanyun Zhang Jingxia Zhang Xuehan Huo Yang Gao Ao Pan Zhaohai Du Juan Zhou Yanxiu Zhao Zhi Liu Furong Wang Jun Zhang 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,2:1
10In situ XRD and electrochemical investigation on a new intercalation-type anode for high-rate lithium ion capacitor显示文摘A new intercalation-type anode material is reported herein to improve the lithium storage kinetics for high-rate lithium ion capacitors.The crystal structure of orthorhombic NaNbO3 indicates two possible tunnels for lithium ions insertion into NaNbO3 host along the<101>and<141>directions.Moreover,in situ XRD is conducted to investigate the lithium storage mechanism and structural evolution of the NaNb O_(3) anode,demonstrating its intercalation behavior through(101)and(141)planes.Furthermore,the rGO nanosheets are introduced to facilitate the charge transfer,which also effectively prevent the aggregation of NaNbO3 nanocubes.As expected,the NaNbO_(3)/rGO nanocomposites possess remarkable reversible capacity(465 mA h g^(-1) at 0.1 A g^(-1)),superior rate capability(325 mA h g^(-1) at 1.0 A g^(-1))and cycling stability,attributed to their synergistic effect and high Li+diffusion coefficient DLi[D(NaNbO_(3)/rGO)/D(NaNbO_(3))≈31.54].Remarkably,the NaNbO3/rGO-based LIC delivers a high energy density of 166.7 W h kg^(-1) at 112.4 W kg^(-1) and remains 24.1 W h kg^(-1) at an ultrahigh power density of26621.2 W kg^(-1),with an outstanding cycling durability(90%retention over 3000 cycles at 1.0 A g^(-1)).This study provides new insights on novel intercalation-type anode material to enrich the materials system of LICs.Bobo Zou Ting Wang Shengyuan Li Rong Kang Guochun Li Sherif AEl-Khodary Dickon HLNg Xianhu Liu Jingxia Qiu Yan Zhao Jiabiao Lian Huaming Li 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,6:1

12Risk Factors for Gestational Diabetes Mellitus(GDM)in Subsequent Pregnancy Among Women Without GDM History in China:A Multicenter Retrospective Study显示文摘Objective:This study aimed to determine the likelihood of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)in subsequent pregnancy among women without GDM history and to identify risk factors for GDM in subsequent pregnancy.Methods:This retrospective cohort study involved participants who delivered twice in same hospital of 18 research centers when delivered the second baby from January 2018 to December 2018.Finally 6204 women were enrolled and 5180 women without GDM history were analyzed further.Women were categorized as non-GDM or GDM based on the blood glucose values of the subsequent pregnancy,and the characteristics and GDM risk of these groups were compared.A univariate analysis of potential risk factors was performed using the Chi-squared test and/ort-test for qualitative or quantitative variables,respectively.Associations withP values<0.1 were chosen to be included in the multivariate binary logistic regression model.Results:In primary analysis of 6204 women,the incidence of GDM in subsequent pregnancy is 48.9%(490/1002)in women with GDM history and 16.1%(835/5202)in women without GDM history.In a further analysis for 5180 women without GDM at index pregnancy,compared with the non-GDM group,the GDM group had a significantly higher age,prepregnancy body mass index,and blood glucose value at each oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT)timepoint(fasting,1 h and 2 h)during the index and subsequent pregnancies,as well as higher weight retention during the interval between the two pregnancies(P<0.001).Age above 35 years in subsequent pregnancy(odds ratio(OR)=1.540,95%confidence interval(CI)=1.257-1.886,P<0.001),macrosomia in index pregnancy(OR=1.749,95%CI=1.277-2.395,P=0.001),OGTT blood glucose values in index pregnancy(fasting,OR=2.487,95%CI=1.883-3.285,P<0.001;1 h,OR=1.142,95%CI=1.051-1.241,P=0.002;2 h,OR=1.290,95%CI=1.162-1.432,P<0.001)and weight retention(OR=1.052,95%CI=1.035-1.068,P<0.001)were independent risk factors for GDM in subsequent pregnancy.Conclusion:For women without GDM history,GDM risk factors including age,macrosomia history,OGTT value,and weight retention,these can be evaluated before a subsequent pregnancy.Early warning and interventions are needed for women at high risk.Geng Song Yumei Wei Juan Juan Rina Su Jianying Yan Mei Xiao Xianlan Zhao Meihua Zhang Yuyan Ma Haiwei Liu Jingxia Sun Kejia Hu Huixia Yang 2023Maternal-Fetal Medicine2023,5,1:1

15Age-related changes in cerebral angiogenesis and fetal liver kinase-1 expression after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion显示文摘Cerebral angiogenesis in the early stages after cerebral ischemia injury is essential for the recovery of nerve function, in which fetal liver kinase-1 (Flk-1), as a major regulator of vasculogenesis and angiogenesis, plays a very important role. Microvessel density (MVD) was greater in an aged model group compared with the young sham operated group (P < 0.01). MVD and the sum of the lumen area were decreased in the aged group at 1, 3, 6 and 12 days following ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury compared with the young model group (P < 0.05 and P < 0.01, respectively). Flk-1 protein and mRNA expression was greater in the aged model group when compared with the young sham operated group (P < 0.01). Flk-1 protein and mRNA expression was lower in the aged group at 1, 3, 6 and 12 days after I/R compared with the young model group (P < 0.01). Flk-1 expression in aged rats attenuated rapidly, but was still maintained at relatively higher levels at 12 days following I/R in younger rats. 16Research and development of the longitudinal feedback system digital signal processing electronics in BEPCII显示文摘Background The current strategy to achieve high luminosity for high energy physics experiments is to store huge currents distributed in many bunches in circular machines such as BEPCII,so the longitudinal coupled bunch instabilities of the beam are inevitable.Purpose Therefore,a longitudinal feedback system is needed to suppress longitudinal oscillation.Otherwise,the beam energy spread will increase;the luminosity and the beam lifetime will decrease under a certain beam current.Methods For filter design of the feedback system,the time domain least square fitting(TDLSF)method is compared to the selective wave filter method;digital signal processing electronics based on commercial board have been developed and tested on BEPCII.Results The final result shows that the self-developed longitudinal feedback system can suppress the longitudinal beam oscillation at 750 mA beam current and meet the requirements of BEPCII;the restrain depth to the sidebands reaches to 40.8 dB.Di Yin Junhui Yue Huizhou Ma Jianshe Cao Shujun Wei Cunbiao Hao Yanfeng Sui Jun He Jingxia Zhao Zhi Liu 2021Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2021,5,2:0
