| 3 | Hierarchical structures in climate and atmospheric turbulence显示文摘The climatic time series encompass many time scales, forming multi-scale climatic variations and hierarchies. The periods and magnitudes of cooling or warming, especially for extreme climatic events, vary with the time scales. On the other hand, high-frequency atmospheric turbulent motions, which are certainly related to the climatic changes, are also typical multi-scale phenomena. In this paper, certain properties of the fluctuations are examined that are invariant with the change of the time scales. Specifically, the existence of a statistical similarity law is demonstrated in climatic time series and in atmospheric turbulent motions. This is the hierarchical similarity law. Further analyses show that the hierarchical similarity law is a general property of multi-scale fluctuation systems. | 8 | Temperature-and thickness-dependence of robust out-of-plane ferroelectricity in CVD grown ultrathin van der Waals a-In2Se3 layers显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)ferroelectric materials with unique structure and extraordinary optoelectrical properties have attracted intensive research in the field of nanoelectronic and optoelectronic devices,such as optical sensors,transistors,photovoltaics and non-volatile memory devices.However,the transition temperature of the reported ferroelectrics in 2D limit is generally low or slightly above room temperature,hampering their applications in high-temperature electronic devices.Here,we report the robust high-temperature ferroelectricity in 2D a-In2Se3,grown by chemical vapor depostion(CVD),exhibiting an out-of-plane spontaneous polarization reaching above 200℃.The polarization switching and ferroelectric domains are observed in In2Se;nanoflakes in a wide temperature range.The coercive field of the CVD grown ferroelectric layers ilustrates a room-temperature thickness dependency and increases drastically when the film thickness decreases;whereas there is no large variance in the coercive field at dfterent termperature from the samples with identical thickness.The results show the stable ferroelectricit of In2Se3 nanoflakes maintained at high temperature and open up the opportunities of 2D materials for novel applications in high-temperature nanoelectronic devices. | Weng Fu Io Shuoguo Yuan Sin Yi Pang Lok Wing Wong Jiong Zhao Jianhua Hao | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,7: | 2 |

| 13 | Interaction of methionine sulfoxide reductase B5 with SlMYC2 stimulates the transcription of MeJA-mediated autophagy-related genes in tomato fruit显示文摘Methyl jasmonate(MeJA)has been shown to induce autophagy in various plant stress responses and metabolic pathways.MYC2 is involved in MeJA-mediated postharvest fruit biological metabolism,but it is unclear how it affects MeJA-induced fruit autophagy.In this study,we noticed that silencing SlMYC2 significantly reduced the increase in autophagy-related genes(SlATGs)expression induced by MeJA.SlMYC2 could also bind to the promoters of several SlATGs,including SlATG13a,SlATG13b,SlATG18a,and SlATG18h,and activate their transcript levels.Moreover,SlMsrB5,a methionine sulfoxide reductase,could interact with SlMYC2.Methionine oxidation in SlMYC2 and mimicking sulfoxidation in SlMYC2 by mutation of methionine-542 to glutamine reduced the DNA-binding ability and transcriptional activity of SlMYC2,respectively.SlMsrB5 partially repaired oxidized SlMYC2 and restored its DNA-binding ability.On the other hand,silencing SlMsrB5 inhibited the transcript levels of SlMYC2-targeted genes(SlATG13a,SlATG13b,SlATG18a,and SlATG18h).Similarly,dual-luciferase reporter(DLR)analysis revealed that SlMsrB5–SlMYC2 interaction significantly increased the ability of SlMYC2-mediated transcriptional activation of SlATG13a,SlATG13b,SlATG18a,and SlATG18h.These findings demonstrate that SlMsrB5-mediated cyclic oxidation/reduction of methionine in SlMYC2 inf luences SlATGs expression.Collectively,these findings reveal the mechanism of SlMYC2 in SlATGs transcriptional regulation,providing insight into the mechanism of MeJA-mediated postharvest fruit quality regulation. | Dedong Min Fujun Li Maratab Ali Jiong Liu Xiaodong Fu Yanan Song Jun Ding Xiaoan Li Nana Ji Xinhua Zhang | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,3: | 0 |
| 14 | Violation of the T^(−1) Relationship in the Lattice Thermal Conductivity of Mg_(3)Sb_(2) with Locally Asymmetric Vibrations显示文摘Most crystalline materials follow the guidelines of T^(-1) temperature-dependent lattice thermal conductivity(κ_(L))at elevated temperatures.Here,we observe a weak temperature dependence ofκL in Mg_(3)Sb_(2),T^(-0:48) from theory and T-0:57 from measurements,based on a comprehensive study combining ab initio molecular dynamics calculations and experimental measurements on single crystal Mg_(3)Sb_(2).These results can be understood in terms of the so-called“phonon renormalization”effects due to the strong temperature dependence of the interatomic force constants(IFCs).The increasing temperature leads to the frequency upshifting for those low-frequency phonons dominating heat transport,and more importantly,the phononphonon interactions are weakened.In-depth analysis reveals that the phenomenon is closely related to the temperature-induced asymmetric movements of Mg atoms within MgSb_(4) tetrahedron.With increasing temperature,these Mg atoms tend to locate at the areas with relatively low force in the force profile,leading to reduced effective 3^(rd)-order IFCs.The locally asymmetrical atomic movements at elevated temperatures can be further treated as an indicator of temperature-induced variations of IFCs and thus relatively strong phonon renormalization.The present work sheds light on the fundamental origins of anomalous temperature dependence of κ_(L) in thermoelectrics. | Yifan Zhu Yi Xia Yancheng Wang Ye Sheng Jiong Yang Chenguang Fu Airan Li Tiejun Zhu Jun Luo Christopher Wolverton GJeffrey Snyder Jianjun Liu Wenqing Zhang | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 0 |

| 16 | Adding a vacuum erection device to regular use of Tadalafil improves penile rehabilitation after posterior urethroplasty显示文摘This study aimed to evaluate whether adding a vacuum erection device(VED)to regular use of Tadalafil could achieve better penile rehabilitation following posterior urethroplasty for pelvic fracture-related urethral injury(PFUI).Altogether,78 PFUI patients with erectile dysfunction(ED)after primary posterior urethroplasty were enrolled and divided into two treatment groups:VED combined with Tadalafil(Group 1,n=36)and Tadalafil only(Group 2,n=42).Changes in penile length,testosterone level,International Index of Erectile Function-5(IIEF-5)questionnaire,Quality of Erection Questionnaire(QEQ),and nocturnal penile tumescence(NPT)testing were used to assess erectile function before and after 6 months of ED treatment.Results showed that the addition of VED to regular use of Tadalafil preserved more penile length statistically(0.4±0.9 vs-0.8±0.7 cm,P<0.01).IIEF-5 score and QEQ score in Group 1 were higher than Group 2(both P<0.05).After treatment,21/36(5&3%)Group 1 patients and 19/42(45.2%)Group 2 patients could complete vaginal penetration.Group 1 patients also had markedly improved testosterone levels(P=0.01).Unexpectedly,there was no significant difference in NPT testing between two therapies.For PFUI patients with ED after posterior urethroplasty,the addition of VED to regular use of Tadalafil could significantly improve their conditions-improving erection and increasing penile length-thus increasing patient satisfaction and confidence in penile rehabilitation. | Dong-Liang Zhang Zhong Chen Fei-Xiang Wang Jiong Zhang Hong Xie Ze-Yu Wang Yu-Bo Gu Qiang Fu Lu-Jie Song | 2019 | Asian Journal of Andrology2019,21,6: | 0 |
