| 1 | Ordovician graptolite-bearing strata in southern Jiangxi with a special reference to the Kwangsian Orogeny显示文摘The Ordovician graptolite sequence of the Yongxin-Chongyi area in southern Jiangxi was suggested as a standard for the correlation of Ordovician in the Zhujiang region of South China. Based on a restudy of the Upper Ordovician graptolites, the Shikou and Huamianlong formations are recognized herein as a part of the Hanjiang Formation, corresponding only to the Dipla-canthograptus caudatus-Diplacanthograptus spiniferus Zone. Two graptolite zones in the Longxi Formation of Yongxin and Chongyi, the Nemagraptus gracilis Zone and Climacograptus bicornis Zone, are redefined here. A rapid replacement of facies from the typical deep-water graptolitic black shale of Longxi Formation to the rapidly-accumulated, shallow-water clastic deposits of Hanjiang Formation indicates the tectonic initiation of the Kwangsian Orogeny. The thick clastic deposits of the Han-jiang Formation are proposed to come from a nearby source area that rose during the Kwangsian Orogeny. | 3 | Principal aspects of the Ordovician biotic radiation显示文摘The Ordovician radiation is among the major bioevents in earth history that have drawn great attention from geologists all over the world, and there have been hundreds of publications treating various aspects of this radiation. The study of the event involves a broad spectrum of research fields and concerns many scientific questions. Many opinions and hypotheses have been proposed on the triggering and controlling factors of the radiation. Herein the authors critically review the study of the Ordovician radiation and dissect four principal aspects by synthesizing the studies over the past years: (1) relationships of the radiation to fossil clades, ecotypes, and environments, such as water depth, latitude, and climate; (2) the ecological structure and food webs of Ordovician marine organisms; (3) fossil records and true biodiversities; and (4) likely triggering and controlling factors of the Ordovician radiation. | 4 | Hierarchical porous cellulose/lanthanide hybrid materials as luminescent sensor显示文摘Photoluminescent hybrid materials containing carboxymethyl cellulose and lanthanide ions(Eu3+, Tb3+)were prepared by a facile method under ambient conditions. Lanthanide ions were covalently grafted to the cellulose framework through coordination with the carboxylic groups of the cellulose. Hybrid materials were fabricated as hydrogel and aerogel. As shown by SEM and pore parameters, aerogel materials which were obtained by supercritical CO_2 drying show hierarchical porous structure. The photoluminescence spectrum of the hybrid materials shows the characteristic red emission of Eu3+ ion and green emission of Tb^(3+). | 5 | Theoretical and simulation research of hydrodynamic instabilities in inertial-confinement fusion implosions显示文摘Inertial fusion energy(IFE)has been considered a promising,nearly inexhaustible source of sustainable carbon-free power for the world's energy future.It has long been recognized that the control of hydrodynamic instabilities is of critical importance for ignition and high-gain in the inertial-confinement fusion(ICF)hot-spot ignition scheme.In this mini-review,we summarize the progress of theoretical and simulation research of hydrodynamic instabilities in the ICF central hot-spot implosion in our group over the past decade.In order to obtain sufficient understanding of the growth of hydrodynamic instabilities in ICF,we first decompose the problem into different stages according to the implosion physics processes.The decomposed essential physics processes that are associated with ICF implosions,such as Rayleigh-Taylor instability(RTI),Richtmyer-Meshkov instability(RMI),Kelvin-Helmholtz instability(KHI),convergent geometry effects,as well as perturbation feed-through are reviewed.Analytical models in planar,cylindrical,and spherical geometries have been established to study different physical aspects,including density-gradient,interface-coupling,geometry,and convergent effects.The influence of ablation in the presence of preheating on the RTI has been extensively studied by numerical simulations.The KHI considering the ablation effect has been discussed in detail for the first time.A series of single-mode ablative RTI experiments has been performed on the Shenguang-Ⅱlaser facility.The theoretical and simulation research provides us the physical insights of linear and weakly nonlinear growths,and nonlinear evolutions of the hydrodynamic instabilities in ICF implosions,which has directly supported the research of ICF ignition target design.The ICF hot-spot ignition implosion design that uses several controlling features,based on our current understanding of hydrodynamic instabilities,to address shell implosion stability,has been briefly described,several of which are novel. | LiFeng Wang WenHua Ye XianTu He JunFeng Wu ZhengFeng Fan Chuang Xue HongYu Guo WenYong Miao YongTeng Yuan JiaQin Dong Guo Jia Jing Zhang YingJun Li Jie Liu Min Wang YongKun Ding WeiYan Zhang | 2017 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2017,60,5: | 4 |
| 6 | 6.5 wt%Si high silicon steel sheets prepared by composite electrodeposition in magnetic field显示文摘A new preparation method of near-net-shape 6.5 wt% Si high silicon steel sheets was proposed by combining composite electrodeposition(CED) and diffusion annealing under magnetic field. The obtained sheets were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectrometry, analytical balance and a silicon steel material measurement system. The results show that the surface morphology,the elemental distribution, the cathode current efficiency and the silicon content of coatings were obviously influenced by the micro and macro magnetohydrodynamics(MHD) flows under magnetic field.With the effect of magnetic field, the silicon particles content of coatings showed an increasing trend and the diffusion process showed that an approximately uniform 6.5 wt% silicon steel sheet has been successfully obtained. The magnetism measurement showed that the high silicon steel sheet has the lower iron loss, and the iron loss further decreased under magnetic field. | 7 | Behavior and Kinetics of Non-isothermal Pyrolysis of Coal at Different Heating Rates显示文摘Investigations on the pyrolysis and kinetic behaviors during pyrolysis of fossil fuel samples, such as coal, are fundamental for developing the related technology and practical application. In this work, pyrolysis behavior and kinetics in the pyrolysis process of a coal sample were investigated by the thermogravimetric analyzer at a heating rate of 10, 40, 70,100, 200, and 500 °C/min, respectively. The pyrolysis process could be divided into four stages according to the TG/DTG curves. The first stage was mainly attributed to the removal of volatiles, and the second peak was the polycondensation reaction between the volatile components. It was found that more volatiles could be released from coal during pyrolysis at higher heating rate and the higher pyrolysis temperature was necessary for a rapid pyrolysis process. Kinetic analysis revealed that both the model-free(KAS and FWO) and the Coats-Redfern methods were suitable to describing the pyrolysis process, and the variation of activation energy(E) with the two types of kinetic models was consistent during the whole pyrolysis process. | 19 | Analysis of Lymph Node Metastases of 1,526 Cases with Thoracic Esophageal and Cardiac Carcinomas: A Random Sampling Report froni the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University from 1996 to 2004显示文摘OBJECTIVE To summarize the regular pattern and state oflymph node metastasis of patients with esophageal and cardiaccarcinomas,so as to analyze factors influencing lymph nodemetastasis.METHODS Clinical data collected from 1,526 thoracicesophageal and cardiac carcinoma patients who were admitted inthe Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University during a periodfrom January 1996 to December 2004,were randomly selectedand an Access Database of the patient's information was set up.Eight clinico-pathologic factors,including the patient's age,tumorlocation and size,pathological classification,the depth of tumorinvasion,vascular tumor embolus (VTE),the state of surroundingorgan encroachment and the status of tumor residues,wereidentified.A correlation between these factors and metastases wasstatistically analyzed using SPSS13.0 software.RESULTS Lymph node metastatic sites from esophagealcarcinomas included the thoracic and abdominal cavity.Lymphnode metastasis from the superior esophageal carcinomasmainly occurred in the neck and thoracic cavity.There was atwo-way lymph node metastasis in the patients with the middleesophageal carcinoma.The inferior esophageal carcinomas mainlymetastasized to the paraesophageal,paragastric cardia,and leftgastric artery lymph nodes.The rate and degree of the metastasisfrom the inferior esophageal carcinomas were significantly highercompared to those of the superior and the middle esophagealcarcinomas (P<0.0125).The degree of abdominal lymph node metastasis fromcarcinomas of the gastric cardia was significantly higher comparedwith that of esophageal carcinomas.In the group with carcinomaof the gastric cardia,the rate and degree of the lymph nodemetastases in the paragastric cardia and left gastric artery weresignificantly higher compared to the group with esophagealcarcinoma (P<0.05).Paraesophageal lymph node metastasis fromcarcinomas of the gastric cardia in the thoracic cavity frequentlyoccurred,too,and the degree of the metastasis was similar to thatof esophageal carcinoma.There was no significant difference inthe rate and degree of the paraesophageal lymph-node metastasisbetween the group with carcinoma of the gastric cardia comparedto those with esophageal carcinoma (P>0.05).Multifactoriallogistic regression analysis showed that the tumor size,depth oftumor encroachment,VTE,and tumor residues could all bringabout obvious impact on lymph-node metastases (P<0.05).CONCLUSION Lymph node metastasis from superioresophageal carcinomas mainly occurs in the neck and thoraciccavity.The middle esophageal carcinomas presented a two-waylymph-node metastasis (both the upwards and the downwards),and the lymph node metastasis from inferior esophagealcarcinomas mainly occurred in the thoracic and abdominal cavities.The metastases of carcinoma of the gastriccardia were most commonly found in the abdominalcavity,with frequent paraesophageal lymph-nodemetastasis.The sufficient attention should be paidto neck lymph node clearance in cases of esophagealcarcinoma.What is of the greatest concern is theclearance of the left gastric artery lymph nodes,andalso in cases of gastric cardia carcinoma,clearance,the paraesophageal lymph nodes.With an increasein the tumor size and depth of tumor encroachment,and occurrence of VTE and tumor residual cells,therisk of lymph node metastasis is significantly raised (P<0.05). | Wei Liu Xishan Hao Yong Chen Haixin Li Shijie Wang Peizhong Wang Hng Jin Liyun Guan Qian Fan Linan Song Yumin Ping Xianli Meng Rui Wang Junfeng Liu Xiaoling Wang | 2008 | Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology2008,5,6: | 1 |
| 20 | Electrodeposition of a dendrite-free 3D Al anode for improving cycling of an aluminum-graphite battery显示文摘Aluminum-metal batteries show great potential as next-generation energy storage due to their abundant resources and intrinsic safety.However,the crucial limitations of metallic Al anodes,such as dendrite and corrosion problems in conventional aluminum-metal batteries,remain challenging and elusive.Here,we report a novel electrodeposition strategy to prepare an optimized 3D Al anode on carbon cloth with an uniform deposition morphology,low local current density,and mitigatory volume change.The symmetrical cells with the 3D Al anode show superior stable cycling(>450 h)and low-voltage hysteresis(~170 mV)at 0.5 mA cm^(−2).High reversibility(~99.7%)is achieved for the Al plating/stripping.The graphite||Al‐4/CC full batteries show a long lifespan of 800 cycles with 54 mAh g^(−1) capacity at a high current density of 1000 mA g^(−1),benefiting from the high capacitive-controlled distribution.This study proposes a novel strategy to design 3D Al anodes for metallic-Al-based batteries by eliminating the problems of planar Al anodes and realizing the potential applications of aluminum-graphite batteries. | Junfeng Li Kwan San Hui Shunping Ji Chenyang Zha Chengzong Yuan Shuxing Wu Feng Bin Xi Fan Fuming Chen Zongping Shao Kwun Nam Hui | 2022 | Carbon Energy2022,4,2: | 1 |
