1Principal aspects of the Ordovician biotic radiation显示文摘The Ordovician radiation is among the major bioevents in earth history that have drawn great attention from geologists all over the world, and there have been hundreds of publications treating various aspects of this radiation. The study of the event involves a broad spectrum of research fields and concerns many scientific questions. Many opinions and hypotheses have been proposed on the triggering and controlling factors of the radiation. Herein the authors critically review the study of the Ordovician radiation and dissect four principal aspects by synthesizing the studies over the past years: (1) relationships of the radiation to fossil clades, ecotypes, and environments, such as water depth, latitude, and climate; (2) the ecological structure and food webs of Ordovician marine organisms; (3) fossil records and true biodiversities; and (4) likely triggering and controlling factors of the Ordovician radiation. 3Sm-doped g-C_(3)N_(4)/Ti_(3)C_(2) MXene heterojunction for visible-light photocatalytic degradation of ciprofloxacin显示文摘A heterojunction of Sm-doped g-C_(3)N_(4)/Ti_(3)C_(2) MXene(SCN/MX)was constructed via prepolymerization and solid mixture-calcination method.The modified g-C_(3)N_(4) presented a hollow porous seaweed-like shape which can increase its specific area and active sites.In SCN/MX composite,the optical properties,no matter optical absorption ability or separation performance of photo-induced electrons and holes,were enhanced.Among them,Sm-doping may play an important role on transferring the photogenerated electrons to suppress their recombination,and Ti_(3)C_(2) MXene would broaden light absorption and further improve the carrier migration efficiency.The SCN/MX presented higher photocatalytic degradation efficiency(>99%)of cipro floxacin under visible light irradiation.The quenching experiments and electron spin-resonance spectroscopy confirmed that the dominated active materials were superoxide radical and holes.The degradation mechanisms of ciprofloxacin(CIP)over the SCN/MX were attacking of the active materials on the piperazine ring and quinolone ring,and the final products were CO_(2),H_(2)O and F^(-).Mingchuan Yu Huanjing Liang Ruonan Zhan Lei Xu Junfeng Niu 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,7:3
4Association among lifestyle, clinical examination, polymorphisms in CDH1 gene and Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome differentiation of gastric cancer显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore the association among lifestyle,clinical examination,polymorphisms in CDH1 gene and Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome differentiation of gastric cancer(GC). METHODS:A hospital-based population of 387 GC patients was investigated in Jiangsu province.Relevant information regarding lifestyle and clinical examination were collected by a standard questionnaire.Four known single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)in CDH1 were investigated by polymerase chain reaction-ligation detection reaction methods.Statistical analysis was conducted by SPSS 16.0 software.RESULTS:The results showed that meal duration and the status of glutamic pyruvic transaminase were significantly associated with TCM syndrome differentiation of GC(both P<0.05).None of the four SNPs in the E-cadherin(CDH1)gene achieved significant differences in their distributions among the nine syndrome types of GC(both P>0.05).However,significant differences were observed in rs13689 genotype distributions between several pairs of syndrome types of GC,suggesting that rs13689 is correlated with the syndrome differentiation of GC.CONCLUSION:Integrated analysis of lifestyle,clinical examination and CDH1 gene polymorphisms can contribute to a better understanding of the GC syndrome types and may improve the efficacy of interventions by stratifying disease according to TCM criteria.Junfeng Zhang Zhen Zhan Juan Wu Chunbing Zhang Yaping Yang Shujuan Tong Ruiping Wang Xuewen Yang Wei Dong 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,5:3
5Structure variety and its effects on biological activity of tea polysaccharides显示文摘Tea polysaccharides(TPSs),one of the major bioactive ingredients in tea,have been widely studied due to their variety of biological activities,including antioxidant,cancer prevention,hypoglycemia,anti-fatigue,anti-coagulant,anti-obesity and immunomodulatory effect.The biological effectiveness of TPSs has direct relation with their structures such as monosaccharide composition,molecular weight,glycosidic linkages,conformation and others,which can be influenced by tea materials,processing methods,extraction and purification procedures among others.Comparing to the study of tea polyphenols,the exploration of TPSs in structural elucidation and biofunctionality is very preliminary.Yet several factors affecting the structural change of TPSs have been studied and identified.Consequently,the variation of some TPS biological activity brought by the change of TPS structures has been evaluated and preliminary correlation of structure activity relationship of TPSs has been performed.Therefore,this review aims to serve as a summary research report regarding the influencing factors on TPSs structures and consequential effects on the biological activities of TPSs.We hope to provide updated information and systematic references for future study and functional food development of TPSs.Ting Hu Peng Wu Jianfeng Zhan Weixin Wang Junfeng Shen Meiyan Wang Chi-Tang Ho Shiming Li 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,3:2
6An experiment on multibubble sonoluminescence spectra in sodium chloride solution显示文摘We investigated experimentally the spectra of MBSL in sodium chloride water solution with krypton as dissolved gas. We observed and compared the spectra of hydroxyl ion at 310 nm and that of sodium atom at 589 nm. It has been found that under the same experimental condition, the intensity of sodium atom spectra is obviously higher than that of the hydroxyl ion spectra, and is more sensitive to the experimental condition. 7Development of Whole Potato Flour Fish Noodles显示文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to prepare a kind of traditional aquatic food―fish noodles in Hubei Province by replacing some wheat flour with whole potato flour. [Methods] With whole potato flour, wheat flour and minced fish as main raw materials, the effects of the ratio of whole potato flour to minced fish and the addition amounts of sodium alginate, egg white, salt and ginger juice on the quality of whole potato flour fish noodles were studied. An orthogonal experiment was conducted to confirm the optimal technical formula of the whole potato flour fish noodles. [Results] The best formula of the whole potato flour fish noodles was whole potato flour 30 g, wheat flour 20 g, minced fish(grass carp) 50 g, salt 2.00 g, egg white 4.00 g, sodium alginate 2.00 g, and ginger juice 5.00 g. [Conclusions] The whole potato flour fish noodles prepared according to this formula are not only nutritious and taste good, but also have the advantages of easy and convenient eating and storage. 15Chest-scale self-compensated epidermal electronics for standard 6-precordial-lead ECG显示文摘Six chest leads are the standardized clinical devices of diagnosing cardiac diseases.Emerging epidermal electronics technology shift the dangling wires and bulky devices to imperceptible wearing,achieving both comfortable experience and high-fidelity measuring.Extending small areas of current epidermal electronics to the chest scale requires eliminating interference from long epidermal interconnects and rendering the data acquisition(DAQ)portable.Herein,we developed a chest-scale epidermal electronic system(EES)for standard precordial-lead ECG and hydration monitoring,including the onlyμm-thick substrate-free epidermal sensing module and the soft wireless DAQ module.An electrical compensation strategy using double channels within the DAQ module and epidermal compensated branches(ECB)is proposed to eliminate unwanted signals from the long epidermal interconnects and to achieve the desired ECG.In this way,the EES works stably and precisely under different levels of exercise.Patients with sinus arrhythmias have been tested,demonstrating the prospect of EES in cardiac diseases.Lang Yin Youhua Wang Jian Zhan Yunzhao Bai Chao Hou Junfeng Wu Rong Huang Yuzhou Wang YongAn Huang 2022npj Flexible Electronics2022,6,1:0
16Geological characterization and exploration potential of shale gas in the Carboniferous Jiusi Formation,northern Guizhou and Yunnan provinces,SW China显示文摘Dark mudstones and shales of the Carboniferous Jiusi Formation are widely developed in northern Guizhou and Yunnan provinces, SW China. However, the distribution, reservoir characterization, and exploration potential of organic-rich shales in this area are yet to be quantified, thus limiting the prospect of shale gas in this area. This study investigates the basic geological conditions of Jiusi shale gas, using core data, well-logs, and some other test data, obtaining the following results. The organic-rich shales are mainly composed of deltaic-to-shallow-shelf deposits, with thickness ranging from 0 to 450 m, and above 350 m around the subsidence center. The organic matter is mainly type Ⅱ kerogen with TOC content of mostly 1%–2%, indicating a moderate maturity. The argillaceous shale reservoirs are indicative of strong heterogeneity, high clay minerals content, low porosity, low permeability, high specific surface area, and relatively developed secondary porosity. The gas-log anomaly intervals obtained from the survey wells have a cumulative thickness that is apparently greater than 200 m, and a few shale intervals showing high desorbed and adsorbed gas contents. Due to complex structures in the study area, conditions responsible for shale gas occurrence and trapping are generally moderate. However, areas having wide and gentle folds with moderate depth of burial reveals relatively favorable conditions of hydrocarbon traps. In contrast with typical marine-continental transitional shales, the Jiusi shale have better geological conditions for shale gas preservation.
