1Effect of burden and origin sites of premature ventricular contractions on left ventricular function by 7-day Holter monitor显示文摘Recent studies have shown that premature ventricular contractions(PVCs) could enlarge the heart,but its risk factors are incompletely understood as a single 24-hour recording cannot reflect the true PVC burden due to day-to-day variability.Our purpose was to investigate the effect of burden and origin sites on left ventricular(LV) function in patients with PVCs by 7-day Holter electrocardiography(ECG).From May 2012 to August2013,112 consecutive patients with PVCs were recruited from the authors' affiliated hospital.All patients received2-dimensional transthoracic echocardiography,12-lead routing ECG and 7-days Holter ECG.Serum N-terminal probrain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP) levels were measured.A total of 102 participants with PVCs were included in the final analysis.Origin of PVCs from the tricuspid annulus had the highest burden and NT-proBNP level.LV papillary muscle had a higher LV ejection fraction(EF) level and a lower LV end-systolic dimension(ESD) than other PVC foci(P<0.05).The high burden group had a higher LV end-diastolic dimension(EDD) and LVESD but lower LVEF than the other two groups(P<0.05).Female,older age,physical work,and history of PVCs had a significantly positive correlation with symptoms.Male,older age,physical work,and high burden were positive predictors of enlarged LVEDD,LVESD and higher serum NT-proBNP level,but lower LVEF.Seven-day dynamic ECG Holter monitor showed the true PVC burden on patients with PVCs.PVCs with a lower burden or origin from the LV papillary muscle and the fascicle were relatively benign,while PVCs with a higher burden or origin from the tricuspid annulus may lead to cardiac dysfunction.Wenhua Xu Mingfang Li Minglong Chen Bing Yang Daowu Wang Xiangqing Kong Hongwu Chen Weizhu Ju Kai Gu Kejiang Cao Hailei Liu Qi Jiang Jiaojiao Shi Yan Cui Hong Wang 2015The Journal of Biomedical Research2015,29,6:4

3Isothermal kinetic analysis on reduction of solid/liquid wustite by hydrogen显示文摘Isothermal thermogravimetric analysis was used to study the reduction process of solid/liquid wustite by hydrogen.Results show that wustite in both states can be reduced entirely at all temperatures.The thermal and kinetic conditions for the hydrogen reduction of molten phases are better than those when the reactants and products are in the solid state,with a higher reaction rate.The hydrogen reduction of different wustite phases fits the Mampel Power model(power exponent n=1/2)well,and this model is independent of the phase state.The average apparent activation energies of the reduction process calculated by the iso-conversional method are 5.85 kJ·mol^(−1) and 104.74 kJ·mol^(−1),when both reactants and products are in the solid state and the molten state,respectively.These values generally agree with those calculated by the model fitting method.Jianliang Zhang Yang Li Zhengjian Liu Tengfei Wang Yaozu Wang Kejiang Li Guilin Wang Tao Xu Yong Zhang 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,10:2

6From bibliometric analysis: 3D printing design strategies and battery applications with a focus on zinc‐ion batteries显示文摘Three‐dimensional(3D)printing has the potential to revolutionize the way energy storage devices are designed and manufactured.In this paper,we explore the use of 3D printing in the design and production of energy storage devices,especially zinc‐ion batteries(ZIBs)and examine its potential advantages over traditional manufacturing methods.3D printing could significantly improve the customization of ZIBs,making it a promising strategy for the future of energy storage.In particular,3D printing allows for the creation of complex,customized geometries,and designs that can optimize the energy density,power density,and overall performance of batteries.Simultaneously,we discuss and compare the impact of 3D printing design strategies based on different configurations of film,interdigitation,and framework on energy storage devices with a focus on ZIBs.Additionally,3D printing enables the rapid prototyping and production of batteries,reducing leading times and costs compared with traditional manufacturing methods.However,there are also challenges and limitations to consider,such as the need for further development of suitable 3D printing materials and processes for energy storage applications.Xuan Gao Kejiang Liu Chang Su Wei Zhang Yuhang Dai Ivan P.Parkin Claire J.Carmalt Guanjie He 2024SmartMat2024,5,1:1

8Effects of Simvastatin on adiponectin and endothelial function in apolipoprotein E-deficient mice显示文摘Objective:To investigate the effects of simvastatin,a 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A(HMG-CoA) reductase inhibitor,on adiponectin and markers of endothelial function in apolipoprotein E-deficient mice at an early stage of atherosclerosis. Methods:Twenty-four 6-week old male apoE-deficient mice were randomly divided into two groups: control group(normal saline) and treatment group simvastatin(5 mg/(kg·d). Simvastatin was administered to treatment group mice by gavage and the same volume of normal saline was administered to control group mice by the same method for 4 weeks. Total cholesterol(TC),superoxide dismutase(SOD),malondialdehyde (MDA),and nitric oxide(NO) were measured by biochemical analysis,and adiponectin was measured by an ABC-ELISA method. Results: There was no significant difference in serum TC between control and treatment groups. Compared with the control animals,simvastatin-treated animals exhibited a significant increase in serum levels of adponectin,SOD and NO,and decrease in serum MDA(P < 0.01). Conclusion: Simvastatin protects endothelial function by increasing serum adiponectin,which may increase serum SOD and NO,and decrease serum MDA. 10Superior performance in visible-light-driven hydrogen evolution reaction of three-dimensionally ordered macroporous SrTiO_(3) decorated with Zn_(x)Cd_(1−x)S显示文摘It is of broad interest to develop emerging photocatalysts with excellent light-harvesting capacity and high charge carrier separation efficiency for visible light photocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction.However,achieving satisfying hydrogen evolution efficiency under noble metal-free conditions remains challenging.In this study,we demonstrate the fabrication of three-dimensionally ordered macroporous SrTiO_(3)decorated with Zn_(x)Cd_(1−x)S nanoparticles for hydrogen production under visible light irradiation(λ>420 nm).Synergetic enhancement of photocatalytic activity is achieved by the slow photon effect and improved separation efficiency of photogenerated charge carriers.The obtained composites could afford very high hydrogen production efficiencies up to 19.67 mmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1),with an apparent quantum efficiency of 35.9%at 420 nm,which is 4.2 and 23.9 times higher than those of pure Zn_(0.5)Cd_(0.5)S(4.67 mmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1))and CdS(0.82 mmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1)),respectively.In particular,under Pt-free conditions,an attractive hydrogen production rate(3.23 mmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1))was achieved,providing a low-cost and high-efficiency strategy to produce hydrogen from water splitting.Moreover,the composites showed excellent stability,and no obvious loss in activity was observed after five cycling tests.Huiying Quan Kejiang Qian Ying Xuan Lan-Lan Lou Kai Yu Shuangxi Liu 2021Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2021,15,6:1
11ZnFe_(2)O_(4)/BiVO_(4)Z-scheme heterojunction for efficient visible-light photocatalytic degradation of ciprofloxacin显示文摘A novel Z-scheme ZnFe_(2)O_(4)/BiVO_(4)heterojunction photocatalyst was successfully synthesized using a convenient solvothermal method and applied in the visible light photocatalytic degradation of ciprofloxacin,which is a typical antibiotic contaminant in wastewater.The heterostructure of as-synthesized catalysts was confirmed using X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy characterizations.Compared with the singlephase counterparts,ZnFe_(2)O_(4)/BiVO_(4)demonstrated considerably enhanced photogenerated charge separation efficiencies because of the Z-scheme transfer mechanism of electrons between the composite photocatalysts.Consequently,the 30%ZnFe_(2)O_(4)/BiVO_(4)catalyst afforded a degradation rate of up to 97%of 20 mg/L ciprofloxacin under 30 min of visible light irradiation with a total organic carbon removal rate of 50%,which is an excellent activity compared with ever reported BiVO_(4)-based catalysts.In addition,the liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and quantitative structure-activity relationships model analyses demonstrated that the toxicity of the intermediates was lower than that of the parent ciprofloxacin.Moreover,the as-synthesized ZnFe_(2)O_(4)/BiVO_(4)heterojunctions were quite stable and could be reused at least four times.This study thus provides a promising Z-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst for the efficient removal and detoxication of antibiotic pollutants from wastewater.Beibei Wang Kejiang Qian Weiping Yang Wenjing An Lan-Lan Lou Shuangxi Liu Kai Yu 2023Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2023,17,11:0
