1Effects of Sb,Sm, and Sn additions on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-6Al-1.2Y-0.9Nd alloy显示文摘The microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-6Al-1.2Y-0.9Nd magnesium alloy with Sb, Sm, or Sn addition were investigated through X-ray diffraction (XRD), optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The results show that small amounts of Sb, Sm, and especially Sn can refine the grains of the alloy. High melting point Sb3Y5, Al2Sm, and Nd5Sn3 intermetallic compounds can be formed respectively when Sb, Sm, and Sn are added to the alloy. Sb and Sm can improve the tensile strength of the alloy at ambient and elevated temperatures. The tensile strength of the alloy with Sm addition is the highest at 293 and 423 K. 3Characteristics of the lower layer of sandstorms in the Minqin desert-oasis zone显示文摘By measuring the sand-dust flux,vertical deposition,and the wind velocity throughout 19 sandstorms in the Minqin region,we quantitatively analyzed the horizontal distribution and vertical variation in sandstorm characteristics under different land cover conditions.The effect of different land cover on mitigating sandstorms was also investigated.The results indicated that,in the surface layer ranging from 0-50 m,the intensity of sand-dust horizontal flux and concentration of sand-dust decreased with the increase of the height in the desert and the edge of oasis,whereas the two physical quantities increased slightly with the increase of the height in the oasis.The two physical quantities obey power function well under all three cover conditions.Moreover,in the desert and at the edge of oasis,the sand-dust vertical deposition decreased with the increase of the height.But a partial unimodal distribution at the oasis site and the maximum deposition occurred at the height of 9 m,which corresponds to the middle height of farmland protection forest.The annual flux that passed through a section of 1 m in width and 50 m in height was 9169 kg in the desert,5318 kg at the edge of oasis,and 2345 kg in the oasis.And the annual fluxes at the edge of oasis and in the oasis are 42% and 74% less,respectively,than that in the desert.This implies that the wind break forest significantly reduced the intensity of sandstorms.ZHAO Ming ZHAN KeJie YANG ZiHui FANG ErTian QIU GuoYu WANG QiangQiang ZHANG YinChang GUO ShuJiang LI AiDe ZHANG JingChun 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,5:8

5Microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-6Al magnesium alloy with yttrium and neodymium显示文摘The effects of rare earth(RE) elements Y and Nd on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-6Al magnesium alloy were investigated.The results show that a proper level of RE elements can obviously ref ine the microstructure of Mg-6Al magnesium alloys,reduce the quantity of β-Mg17Al12 phase and form Al2Y and Al2Nd phases.The combined addition of Y and Nd dramatically enhances the tensile strength of the alloys in the temperature range of 20-175℃.When the content of RE elements is up to 1.8%,the values of tensile strength at room temperature and at 150℃ simultaneously reach their maximum of 253 MPa and 196 MPa,respectively.The main mechanisms of enhancement in the mechanical properties of Mg-6Al alloy with Y and Nd are the grain ref ining strengthening and the dispersion strengthening.Chen Jun Li Quanan Li Jianghong Li Xiaofeng Li Kejie Zhang Xingyuan 2009China Foundry2009,6,2:5
6Epitaxy of rare earth element fluorcarbonate minerals from carbonatite dyke at Bayan Obo, Inner Mongolia, China显示文摘Rare earth element fluorocarbonate minerals such as bastnaesite and parisite are firstly discovered in carbonatite dykes from Bayan Obo, Inner Mongolia, China. Bastnaesite rarely occurs as homogeneously single crystal, but contains microfine phase of parisite. They form regular intergrowth along (0001) plane net, which is identified as epitaxy. 7Effect of Soil Drying Intensity During an Experimental Drying-Rewetting Event on Nutrient Transformation and Microbial Community Composition显示文摘Soil drying-rewetting(DRW) events affect nutrient transformation and microbial community composition; however, little is known about the influence of drying intensity during the DRW events. Therefore, we analyzed soil nutrient composition and microbial communities with exposure to various drying intensities during an experimental drying-rewetting event, using a silt loam from a grassland of northern China, where the semi-arid climate exposes soils to a wide range of moisture conditions, and grasslands account for over 40% of the nation's land area. We also conducted a sterilization experiment to examine the contribution of soil microbes to nutrient pulses. Soil drying-rewetting decreased carbon(C) mineralization by 9%–27%. Both monosaccharide and mineral nitrogen(N) contents increased with higher drying intensities(drying to ≤ 10% gravimetric water content), with the increases being 204% and 110% with the highest drying intensity(drying to 2% gravimetric water content), respectively, whereas labile phosphorus(P)only increased(by 105%) with the highest drying intensity. Moreover, levels of microbial biomass C and N and dissolved organic N decreased with increasing drying intensity and were correlated with increases in dissolved organic C and mineral N, respectively,whereas the increases in labile P were not consistent with reductions in microbial biomass P. The sterilization experiment results indicated that microbes were primarily responsible for the C and N pulses, whereas non-microbial factors were the main contributors to the labile P pulses. Phospholipid fatty acid analysis indicated that soil microbes were highly resistant to drying-rewetting events and that drought-resistant groups were probably responsible for nutrient transformation. 18Inactivated Pseudomonas PE(△Ⅲ)exotoxin fused to neutralizing epitopes of PEDV S proteins produces a specific immune response in mice显示文摘Porcine epidemic diarrhea(PED)caused by the porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV),is a severe infectious and devastating swine disease that leads to serious economic losses in the swine industry worldwide.An increased number of PED cases caused by variant PEDV have been reported in many countries since 2010.S protein is the main immunogenic protein containing some B-cell epitopes that can induce neutralizing antibodies of PEDV.In this study,the construction,expression and purification of Pseudomonas aeruginosa exotoxin A(PE)without domain Ⅲ(PE△Ⅲ)as a vector was performed for the delivery of PEDV S-A or S-B.PE(△Ⅲ)PEDV S-A and PE(△Ⅲ)PEDV S-B recombinant proteins were confirmed by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and Western blot analysis.The immunogenicity of PEDV S-A and PEDV S-B subunit vaccines were evaluated in mice.The results showed that PEDV-S-B vaccine could not only induce specific humoral and Th1 type-dominant cellular immune responses,but also stimulate PEDV-specific mucosal immune responses in mice.PEDV-S-B subunit vaccine is a novel candidate mucosal vaccine against PEDV infection.Leqiang Sun Yajie Tang Keji Yan Huanchun Chen Huawei Zhang 2021Animal Diseases2021,1,3:1

20Effects of yttrium on microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-6Al magnesium alloy显示文摘Since Y has a great solid solubility in magnesium alloys, it helps enhancing the heat-resistant property of magnesium alloys. The effects of Y on microstructures and mechanical properties of Mg-6Al alloy have been studied in this work. The results show that Y addition refines grains of Mg-6Al alloy, and reduces the amount of the Mg 17 Al 12 phase. At the same time, the high melting-point Al 2 Y phase particles are formed. According to the mathematical model of the two-dimensional lattice misfit proposed by Braffit, it is believed that the Al 2 Y particles can serve as the nucleation sites for α-Mg. After T6 treatment, both elongation and ultimate tensile strength of Mg-6Al alloy at the room temperature and high-temperature increased firstly and then decreased, with increasing Y addition. The peak mechanical properties were achieved in the Mg-6Al-1.2Y alloy system. Y addition appears to change the fracture characteristic of Mg-6Al alloy.
