1The effect of land use structure on the distribution of soil nutrients in the hilly area of the Loess Plateau,China显示文摘The irrational land use is one of the main reasons for the soil erosion and nutrient loss in the loess hilly area of China. In this project, 4 types of typical land use structure of sustain ment for about 15 years in the loess hill slope are selected to study the effect of land use structure on the distribution of soil nutrients. From hill bottom to hill top, the patterns of land use types are:, grassland-slope farmland-forest, slope farmland-grassland-forest, terrace-grassland-forest and slope farmland-forest-grassland. By measuring the contents of the total N, total P, available N, available P and organic matter of soils, the results show that the land use structure types of slope farmland-grassland-forest and terrace-grassland-forest have a better capacity to maintain the soil nutrients.Bojie Fu Keming Ma Huafeng Zhou Liding Chen 1999Chinese Science Bulletin1999,44,8:32
2The effect of extrusion conditions on the properties and textures of AZ31B alloy显示文摘The effect of extrusion conditions on the tensile properties and texture of AZ31B alloy has been investigated by means of optical microscopy(OM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD)and tensile tests.It is found that the ultimate tensile strength(UTS),the yield strength(YS)and elongation(EN)of the extruded AZ31B alloy are more significantly influenced by extrusion velocities in contrast with temperature.Although the extrusion conditions are different,the {1102}<0101> texture is the chief texture in the AZ31B after extrusion.Moreover,the extrusion textures become scattered with increasing the temperatures at the same extrusion velocity.As the extrusion velocity is raised at the same temperature,the orientation density of textures increases and the separated textures become relatively concentrated.This leads to the changes of tensile properties at different extrusion conditions.©2017 Production and hosting by Elsevier B.V.on behalf of Chongqing University.Qiang Liu Xiao Zhou Haitao Zhou Xiaohui Fan Keming Liu 2017Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2017,5,2:4
3Quantifying the characteristics of particulate matters captured by urban plants using an automatic approach显示文摘It is widely accepted that urban plant leaves can capture airborne particles. Previous studies on the particle capture capacity of plant leaves have mostly focused on particle mass and/or size distribution. Fewer studies, however, have examined the particle density, and the size and shape characteristics of particles, which may have important implications for evaluating the particle capture efficiency of plants, and identifying the particle sources. In addition, the role of different vegetation types is as yet unclear. Here, we chose three species of different vegetation types, and firstly applied an object-based classification approach to automatically identify the particles from scanning electron microscope(SEM)micrographs. We then quantified the particle capture efficiency, and the major sources of particles were identified. We found(1) Rosa xanthina Lindl(shrub species) had greater retention efficiency than Broussonetia papyrifera(broadleaf species) and Pinus bungeana Zucc.(coniferous species), in terms of particle number and particle area cover.(2) 97.9% of the identified particles had diameter ≤10 μm, and 67.1% of them had diameter ≤2.5 μm. 89.8% of the particles had smooth boundaries, with 23.4% of them being nearly spherical.(3) 32.4%–74.1% of the particles were generated from bare soil and construction activities, and 15.5%–23.0% were mainly from vehicle exhaust and cooking fumes.Jingli Yan Lin Lin Weiqi Zhou Lijian Han Keming Ma 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,1:3
4Developing a Physiological Signal-Based, Mean Threshold and Decision-Level Fusion Algorithm (PMD) for Emotion Recognition显示文摘With the development of computers,artificial intelligence,and cognitive science,engagement in deep communication between humans and computers has become increasingly important.Therefore,affective computing is a current hot research topic.Thus,this study constructs a Physiological signal-based,Mean-threshold,and Decision-level fusion algorithm(PMD)to identify human emotional states.First,we select key features from electroencephalogram and peripheral physiological signals,and use the mean-value method to obtain the classification threshold of each participant and distinguish individual differences.Then,we employ Gaussian Naive Bayes(GNB),Linear Regression(LR),Support Vector Machine(SVM),and other classification methods to perform emotion recognition.Finally,we improve the classification accuracy by developing an ensemble model.The experimental results reveal that physiological signals are more suitable for emotion recognition than classical facial and speech signals.Our proposed mean-threshold method can solve the problem of individual differences to a certain extent,and the ensemble learning model we developed significantly outperforms other classification models,such as GNB and LR.Qiuju Zhang Hongtao Zhang Keming Zhou Le Zhang 2023Tsinghua Science and Technology2023,28,4:2
5Synthesis and characterization of BZSM-5 and its catalytic performance in the methanol to hydrocarbons reaction显示文摘Five kinds of BZSM-5 molecular sieve with different Si/B ratio and a SiZSM-5 molecular sieve were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis method followed by acid exchange and pelletization.The samples were characterized by XRD,SEM,FT-IR,ICP,low temperature N_(2) physical adsorption and desorption,NH3-TPD and Py-IR.The catalytic performance in the reaction of methanol to hydrocarbons was evaluated in the fixed bed reactor.Compared with SiZSM-5,the amount and strength of Bronsted(B)acid were enhanced by introducing skeleton boron and the activity of the catalyst was greatly improved.The characterization and evaluation results indicated that the BZSM-5 catalyst synthesized from the gel of SiO_(2)/B2 O320 with Si/B ratio 74.48 had modest acidity strength,acid amount of 0.18 mmol NH3·g^(-1) and large mesopore volume of 0.23 cm3·g^(-1).The B acid ratio was higher and the acid strength of BZSM-5 was weaker than that of AIZSM-5,which could inhibit the deep coke formation and increase the activity stability.B-2 had the best lifetime which could reach 672 h under the same evaluation reaction conditions,due to the best matching of moderate acidity and good diffusion properties.Junhua Gao Keming Ji Hao Zhou Jiayao Xun Zenghou Liu Kan Zhang Ping Liu 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,7:2

11AN ADAPTIVE COLOR PLANE INTERPOLATION METHOD BASED ON EDGE DETECTION显示文摘In this letter, an adaptive interpolation algorithm based on edge detection is proposed. With this algorithm, all the missing green values can be reconstructed in Bayer pattern image by using edge detection interpolation method. Reconstructed images composed of green pixels are classified according to the high frequency components in image, and the threshold T needed for all kinds of green images in the edge detection is determined through experiments. The edge detection is carried out based on the one Dimensional (1D) gradient operator. If the gradient value is greater than T, this pixel is located on the edge; otherwise the pixel is in the smooth area of the image. Finally, the simple bilinear interpolation is used for the smooth area while the Laplacian interpolation with the second-order correction term is adopted to reconstruct the other red/blue values on the edge. 12Recycling Carbon Resources from Waste PET to Reduce Carbon Dioxide Emission:Carbonization Technology Review and Perspective显示文摘Greenhouse gas emissions from waste plastics have caused global warming all over the world,which has been a central threat to the ecological environment for humans,flora and fauna.Among waste plastics,waste polyethylene terephthalate(PET)is attractive due to its excellent stability and degradation-resistant.Therefore,merging China’s carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals would be beneficial.In this review,we summarize the current state-of-the-art of carbon emission decrease from a multi-scale perspective technologically.We suggest that the carbon peak for waste PET can be achieved by employing the closed-loop supply chain,including recycling,biomass utilization,carbon capture and utilization.Waste PET can be a valuable and renewable resource in the whole life cycle.Undoubtedly,all kinds of PET plastics can be ultimately converted into CO_(2),which can also be feedstock for various kinds of chemical products,including ethyl alcohol,formic acid,soda ash,PU,starch and so on.As a result,the closed-loop supply chain can help the PET plastics industry drastically reduce its carbon footprint.Xing Zhou Qi Wang Sai Feng Jingrui Deng Keming Zhu Yun Xing Xiaolian Meng Xiaojun Wang Lu Li 2023Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,5:0

14Research on frequency-temperature compensated sapphire-SrTiO_3 loaded cavity for hydrogen maser显示文摘To obtain frequency-temperature compensation in a sapphire loaded cavity for hydrogen maser,a dielectric named SrTiO_3 is employed whose temperature coefficient of permittivity is opposite to that of sapphire. 15Environmental factors affecting regional differences and decadal variations in the buried flux of marine organic carbon in eastern shelf sea areas of China显示文摘To characterize environmental factors controlling decadal-scale variations in the buried flux of marine organic carbon(BFC_(m))in the eastern shelf sea areas of China(ECSS),four well preserved sediment cores collected from the central Yellow Sea mud(CYSM)area,the Yellow Sea Coastal Current(YSCC)area and the Changjiang River Estuary(CRE)were investigated in this study.In the CYSM,variations in BFC_(m) were found to be dependent on variations in primary productivity and to exhibit a cyclical trend possibly related to fluctuations in the Pacific Decadal Oscillation(PDO)and the East Asian winter monsoon index(EAWM).In the YSCC,BFC_(m) likewise depends on primary productivity.Prior to the 1950s,variations in BFC_(m) were similar to that of the EAWM.After the 1950s,BFC_(m) increased rapidly and exhibited maximum values in the surface layer,consistent with an increase in primary productivity caused by the input of terrestrial nutrients associated with China’s economic development.In the CRE,variations in BFC_(m) were affected by several competing factors making it difficult to identify clear relationships between variations in BFC_(m) and primary productivity.In contrast,long-term variability in BFC_(m) is more similar to changes in the Changjiang River sediment load.Thus,it is speculated that the construction of dams along the Changjiang River may be the main cause of variations in BFC_(m) in this area.Given the disproportionate effects of human activities on marine environments and decadal variations in BFC_(m) in the ECSS,careful attention should be paid to regional differences in organic carbon preservation and environmental changes lest estimates of these values be made imprecise or inaccurate.Qian Yang Keming Qu Shu Yang Yao Sun Yan Zhang Mingying Zhou 2021Acta Oceanologica Sinica2021,40,6:0
