1Spatial modeling of the carbon stock of forest trees in Heilongjiang Province, China显示文摘Heilongjiang province is the largest forest zone in China and the forest coverage rate is 46%. Forests of Heilongjiang province play an important role in the forest ecosystem of China. In this study we investigated the spatial distribution of forest carbon storage in Heilongjiang province using 3083 plots sampled in 2010. We attempted to fit two global models, ordinary least squares model(OLS), linear mixed model(LMM), and a local model, geographically weighted regression model(GWR), to the relationship between forest carbon content and stand, environment, and climate factors. Five predictors significantly affected forest carbon storage and spatial distribution, viz. average diameter of stand(DBH), number of trees per hectare(TPH), elevation(Elev), slope(Slope) and the product of precipitation and temperature(Rain_Temp). The GWR model outperformed the two global models in both model fitting and prediction because it successfully reduced both spatial autocorrelation and heterogeneity in model residuals. More importantly, the GWR model provided localized model coefficients for each location in the study area, which allowed us to evaluate the influences of local stand conditions and topographic features on tree and stand growth, and forest carbon stock. It also helped us to better understand the impacts of silvicultural and management activities on the amount and changes of forest carbon storage across the province. 2Optimal management of Korean pine plantations in multifunctional forestry显示文摘Korean pine is one of the most important plantation species in northeast China.Besides timber,it produces edible nuts and plantations sequester carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.This study optimized the management of Korean pine plantations for timber production,seed production,carbon sequestration and for the joint production of multiple benefits.As the first step,models were developed for stand dynamics and seed production.These models were used in a simulation–optimization system to find optimal timing and type of thinning treatments and optimal rotation lengths.It was found that three thinnings during the rotation period were optimal.When the amount or profitability of timber production is maximized,suitable rotation lengths are 65–70 years and wood production is 5.5–6.0 m^3 ha^(-1) a^(-1).The optimal thinning regime is thinning from above.In seed production,optimal rotation lengths are over 100 years.When carbon sequestration in living biomass is maximized,stands should not be clear-cut until trees start to die due to senescence.In the joint production of multiple benefits,the optimal rotation length is 86 years if all benefits(wood,economic profits,seed,carbon sequestration) are equally important.In this management schedule,mean annual wood production is 5.5 m^2 ha^(-1) and mean annual seed yield 141 kg ha^(-1).It was concluded that it is better to produce timber and seeds in the same stands rather than assign stands to either timber production or seed production.Xingji Jin Timo Pukkala Fengri Li Lihu Dong 2017Journal of Forestry Research2017,28,5:8
3Deformation response of roof in solid backfilling coal mining based on viscoelastic properties of waste gangue显示文摘Solid backfill mining(SBM)is a form of green mining,the core of which is to control and minimize the deformation and movement of strata above longwall coal mines.Establishing a mechanical model that can reliably describe roof deformation by considering the viscoelastic properties of waste gangue is important as it assists in improving mine designs and reducing the environmental impact on the surface.In this paper,the time-dependent deformation characteristics of gangue under different stress levels were obtained by using lateral confinement compression,that reliably represents the compaction of goaf.The viscoelastic foundation model for gangue mechanical response is different from the traditionally used elastic foundation model,as it considers the time factor and viscoelasticity.A mechanical model using a thin plate on a fractional viscoelastic foundation was established,and the roof deflection,bending moment,time-dependent,viscous and other characteristics of SBM were included and analyzed.Compared with the existing elastic foundation model,the proposed fractional order viscoelastic foundation model has higher accuracy with laboratory data.The plate deflection increases by 50.9%and the bending moment increases by 37.9%after 100 days,which the elastic model would not have been able to predict.Peng Huang Jixiong Zhang Xingjie Yan Anthony John Spencer Spearing Meng Li Shiwei Liu 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,2:8

5Genome editing in Drosophila melanogaster: from basic genome engineering to the multipurpose CRISPR-Cas9 system显示文摘Nowadays, genome editing tools are indispensable for studying gene function in order to increase our knowledge of biochemical processes and disease mechanisms. The extensive availability of mutagenesis and transgenesis tools make Drosophila melanogaster an excellent model organism for geneticists. Early mutagenesis tools relied on chemical or physical methods,ethyl methane sulfonate(EMS) and X-rays respectively, to randomly alter DNA at a nucleotide or chromosomal level. Since the discovery of transposable elements and the availability of the complete fly genome, specific genome editing tools, such as P-elements, zinc-finger nucleases(ZFNs) and transcription activator-like effector nucleases(TALENs), have undergone rapid development. Currently, one of the leading and most effective contemporary tools is the CRISPR-cas9 system made popular because of its low cost, effectiveness, specificity and simplicity of use. 8Formation and crystallization behavior of Fe-based amorphous precursors with pre-existingα-Fe nanoparticles-Structure and magnetic properties of high-Cu-content Fe-Si-B-Cu-Nb nanocrystalline alloys显示文摘Structure,crystallization behavior,and magnetic properties of as-quenched and annealed Fe_(81.3)Si_(4)O_(13)Cu_(1.7)(Cu1.7)alloy ribbons and effects of Nb alloying have been studied.Three-dimensional atom probe and transmission electron microscopy analyses reveal that high-number-density Cu-clusters and Pre-existing Nano-sized a-Fe Particles(PN-a-Fe)are coexistence in the melt-spun Cu1.7 amorphous matrix,and the PN-α-Fe form by manners of one-direction adjoining and enveloping the Cu-clusters.Two-step crystallization behavior associated with growth of the PN-a-Fe and subsequent nucleation and growth of newly-formedα-Fe is found in the primary crystallization stage of the Cu1.7 alloy.The number densities of the Cu-clusters and PN-a-Fe in melt-spun Fe8_(1.3-x)Si_(4)B_(13)Cu_(1.7)Nb_(x)alloys are gradually reduced with enriching of Nb,and a fully amorphous structure forms at 4 at.%Nb,although smaller Cu-clusters still exist.After annealing,2 at.%Nb coarsens the average size(D_(α-F)e)of theα-Fe grains from 14.0 nm of the Nb-free alloy to 21.6 nm,and 4 at.%Nb refines the D_(α-Fe)to 8.9 nm.The mechanisms of theα-Fe nucleation and growth during quenching and annealing for the alloys with large quantities of PN-α-Fe as well as after Nb alloying have been discussed,and an annealing-induced oc-Fe growth mechanism in term of the barrier co-contributed by competitive growth among the PN-a-Fe and diffusion-suppression effect of Nb atoms has been proposed.A coercivity(HC)αDα-Fe^(3)correlation has been found for the nanocrystalline alloys,and the permeability is inverse with the H_(C).Yanhui Li Xingjie Jia Wei Zhang Yan Zhang Guoqiang Xie Zhiyong Qiu Junhua Luan Zengbao Jiao 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,6:3

10Demand dispatch in cyber-physical load aggregation system with multilevel incentives显示文摘This paper presents a demand dispatch strategy of aggregated electric water heaters(EWHs) for a load aggregation system at demand side, based on the theory of cyber-physical system. The objective is to solve the problem of water heater load control when the cyber-physical load aggregation system participates in demand dispatch of the power grid. First, an implementation framework of the demand dispatch strategy is designed between the cyber space and the physical space, including state awareness,real-time analysis, scientific decision-making and precise execution. Second, a multilevel incentive model, an EWH appliance model and a thermostat setpoint control rule are introduced. Next, based on the models and the rule, the state awareness logic, real-time analysis logic, scientific decision-making logic and precise execution logic of the strategy are designed to implement demand dispatch of aggregated EWHs. 12Preparation and Characterization of Mg/Al/Fe Hydrotalcite with Superb Absorption Capacity toward Congo Red显示文摘Mg/Al/Fe layered double hydroxide(MAF-LDH1) was prepared by solvothermal method with the sodium dodecyl sulfate as the template, and the ethanol system was benefit to growth of sample. The nature in the resulting MAF-LDH was investigated by X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transformed infrared spectra, thermogravimetric analysis, and N2 adsorption-desorption.The morphology of MAF-LDH1 is petal-like with the size of 400-500 nm and the thickness about 10-20 nm. The adsorption performance of the samples was evaluated by absorption of the Congo red(CR) solutions. Compared with Mg/Al layered double hydroxide(MA-LDH), the maximum adsorption capacities of the MAF-LDH1 samples were 943.4 mg/g which was greatly enhanced. Furthermore, after seven cycling tests, the adsorption performance was still up to 90%. Theoretical calculation results revealed that the adsorption process was spontaneous and followed the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Freundlich model. 16A management planning system for even-aged and uneven-aged forests in northeast China显示文摘The most common scientific approach to numerical landscape-level forest management planning is combinatorial optimization aimed at finding the optimal combination of the treatment alternatives of stands. The selected combination of treatments depends on the conditions of the forest, and the objectives of the forest landowners. A two-step procedure is commonly used to derive the plan. First, treatment alternatives are generated for the stands using an automated simulation tool. Second,the optimal combination of the simulated treatment schedules is found by using mathematical programming or various heuristics. Simulation of treatment schedules requires models for stand dynamics and volume for all important tree species and stand types present in the forest.A forest planning system was described for Northeast China. The necessary models for stand dynamics and tree volume were presented for the main tree species of the region. The developed models were integrated into the simulation tool of the planning system. The simulation and the optimization tools of the planning system were described. 17Direct synthesis of Fe-Si-B-C-Cu nanocrystalline alloys with superior soft magnetic properties and ductile by melt-spinning显示文摘Structure,magnetic properties and ductile of melt-spun Fe_(83-x)Si_(4)B_(13-y)C_(y)Cu_(x)(x=0-1.7;y=0-8)alloys were investigated.The addition of 1.7 at.%Cu in a Fe_(83)Si_(4)B_(13) amorphous alloy generates abundantα-Fe crystals by providing nucleation sites,and further C doping promotes the growth of the crystals by suitable turning amorphous-forming ability,hence they increase saturation magnetic flux density(B_(s))and slightly worse magnetic softness of the as-spun alloys.The as-spun Fe_(81.3)Si_(4)B_(7)C_(6)Cu_(1.7) alloy possesses a combined structure of a fully amorphous layer in wheel side surface and predominating nanocrystalline structure with gradually enlargedα-Fe crystal,whose average size and volume fraction are determined as about 12 nm and 32%,respectively,therefore superior soft magnetic properties and ductile with a high B_(s)of 1.74 T,coercivity(H_(c))of 32.7 A/m,effective permeability(μ_(e),at 1 kHz)of 3200 and high relatively strain at fracture(ε_(f))of 3.61%can be achieved directly in this alloy by only using melt-spinning.The annealing at 578 K releases internal stress,promotes the growth of theα-Fe crystals and remains the amorphous layer of the Fe_(81.3)Si_(4)B_(7)C_(6)Cu_(1.7) alloy,then improves the soft magnetic properties and maintains the superior ductile with increasing the B_(s)andμ_(e)to 1.80 T and 14,100,respectively,lowering the H_(c)to9.4 A/m and slightly reducing theε_(f)to 2.39%.The combination of superior soft magnetic properties and ductile and simplified synthesis process entitles the Fe-Si-B-C-Cu nanocrystalline alloys great potentials in high performance electromagnetic applications.Xingjie Jia Bojun Zhang Wei Zhang Yaqiang Dong Jiawei Li Aina He Run-Wei Li 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,13:1
18Developing Weibull-based diameter distributions for the major coniferous species in Heilongjiang Province,China显示文摘Diameter distribution models play an important role in forest inventories,growth prediction,and management.The Weibull probability density function is widely used in forestry.Although a number of methods have been proposed to predict or recover the Weibull distribution,their applicability and predictive performance for the major tree species of China remain to be determined.Trees in sample plots of three even-aged coniferous species(Larix olgensis,Pinus sylvestris and Pinus koraiensis)were measured both in un-thinned and thinned stands to develop parameter prediction models for the Weibull probability density function.Ordinary least squares(OLS)and maximum likelihood regression(MLER),as well as cumulative distribution function regression(CDFR)were used,and their performance compared.The results show that MLER and CDFR were better than OLS in predicting diameter distributions of tree plantations.CDFR produced the best results in terms of fitting statistics.Based on the error statistics calculated for different age groups,CDFR was considered the most suitable method for developing prediction models for Weibull parameters in coniferous plantations.Qila Sa Xingji Jin Timo Pukkala Fengri Li 2023Journal of Forestry Research2023,34,6:1
