1Assessing the health risk of heavy metals in vegetables to the general population in Beijing,China显示文摘A systematic survey of As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn concentrations in vegetables from 416 samples (involving 100 varieties) in Beijing was carried out for assessing the potential health risk to local inhabitants. The results indicated that the metal concentrations in vegetables ranged from < 0.001 to 0.479 μg/g fresh weight (fw) (As), < 0.001 to 0.101 μg/g fw (Cd), < 0.001 to 1.04 μg/g fw (Cr), 0.024 to 8.25 μg/g fw (Cu), 0.001 to 1.689 μg/g fw (Ni), < 0.001 to 0.655 μg/g fw (Pb) and 0.01 to 25.6 μg/g fw (Zn), with average concentrations of 0.013, 0.010, 0.023, 0.51, 0.053, 0.046 and 2.55 μg/g fw, respectively. The results showed that the concentrations of As, Cr, Cu, Cd, Pb and Ni in vegetables from open-fields were all significantly higher than those grown in greenhouses. In addition, in local-produced vegetables, all HMs except Zn were significantly higher than those in provincial vegetables. The estimated daily intake (EDI) of As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn from vegetables was 0.080, 0.062, 0.142, 3.14, 0.327, 0.283 and 15.7 μg/(kg body weight (bw)·d) for adults, respectively. Arsenic was the major risk contributor for inhabitants since the target hazard quotient based on the weighted average concentration (THQw) of arsenic amounted to 44.3% of the total THQ (TTHQ) value according to average vegetable consumption. 2Comparing the Diagnostic Criteria for Gestational Diabetes Mellitus of World Health Organization 2013 with 1999 in Chinese Population显示文摘INTRODUCTION Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) was earlier defined as 'hyperglycemia first recognized during pregnancy' and has more recently been described by American Diabetes Association (ADA) (2012) as diabetes diagnosed during pregnancy that is not clearly overt diabetes.[1] The hyperglycemia and adverse pregnancy outcomes study (HAPO) demonstrated that the risk of adverse maternal,fetal,and neonatal outcomes continuously increase as a function of maternal glycemia at 24-28 weeks,even within ranges previously considered normal for pregnancy.[2] After reviewing the results of the HAPO study,many international diabetes study groups,including the International Association of Diabetes and Pregnancy Study Groups and ADA have adopted the 75 g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) at 24-28 weeks as a screening and diagnostic test and defined new cut-off values for GDM diagnosis.The Ministry of Health of China published the criteria for GDM,that is the same as the ADA criteria on July 1,2011.World Health Organization (WHO) has recommended the 75 g OGTT with different cut-offvalues as a diagnostic test since 1999,changed its recommendation on 2013.In Hongkong and Yunnan province in China,most hospital adopted the WHO 1999 criteria,nevertheless,there is no evidence of multicenter and large sample to show that the GDM population within the same ethnic group diagnosed by the new WHO criteria matches those diagnosed by the old one and consistency between the two criteria has not been reported.Thus,we conducted this study to analyze the two criteria in Chinese pregnant women.Weiwei Zhu Huixia Yang Yumei Wei Zilian Wang Xuelan Li Hairong Wu Nan Li Meihua Zhang Xinghui Liu Hua Zhang Yunhui Wang Jianmin Niu Yujie Gan Liruo Zhong Yunfeng Wang Anil Kapur 2015Chinese Medical Journal2015,,1:42

4Structural changes of gut microbiota in Parkinson's disease and its correlation with clinical features显示文摘The aim of this study was to compare the structure of gut microbiota in Parkinson's disease(PD) patients and healthy controls;and to explore correlations between gut microbiota and PD clinical features. We analyzed fecal bacterial composition of 24 PD patients and 14 healthy volunteers by using 16 S rRNA sequencing. There were significant differences between PD and healthy controls, as well as among different PD stages. The putative cellulose degrading bacteria from the genera Blautia(P=0.018),Faecalibacterium(P=0.048) and Ruminococcus(P=0.019) were significantly decreased in PD compared to healthy controls.The putative pathobionts from the genera Escherichia-Shigella(P=0.038), Streptococcus(P=0.01), Proteus(P=0.022), and Enterococcus(P=0.006) were significantly increased in PD subjects. Correlation analysis indicated that disease severity and PD duration negatively correlated with the putative cellulose degraders, and positively correlated with the putative pathobionts. 7Occurrence of perfluoroalkyl substances in matched human serum,urine,hair and nail显示文摘The purpose of this study was to determine perfluoroalkyl substances(PFASs) in human serum, urine, hair and nail from general populations, and to investigate the possibility for human urine, hair and nail used as the biomonitoring sample for PFASs exposure. We detected the concentrations of PFHx A, PFOA, PFNA, PFDA, PFUn DA, PFDo A, PFHx S and PFOS in 39 matched human serum, urine, hair and nail samples from Shenzhen in China. The detection frequency and the median level of PFOS were all higher than that of the other PFASs in four matrices. The median concentration of PFOS in serum, urine, hair, and nail were 9.24 ng/mL, 13.96 ng/L, 0.58 ng/g and 0.63 ng/g, respectively. 8Effects of residual organics in municipal wastewater on hydrogenotrophic denitrifying microbial communities显示文摘Hydrogenotrophic denitrification is promising for tertiary nitrogen removal from municipal wastewater. To reveal the influence of residual organics in municipal wastewater on hydrogenotrophic denitrifiers, we adopted high-throughput 16 S r RNA gene amplicon sequencing to examine microbial communities in hydrogenotrophic denitrification enrichments. Using effluent from a municipal wastewater treatment plant as water source, COD,nitrate and p H were controlled the same except for a gradient of biodegradable carbon(i.e., primary effluent(PE), secondary effluent(SE), or combined primary and secondary effluent(CE)). Inorganic synthetic water(IW) was used as a control. Hydrogenophaga, a major facultative autotroph, accounted for 17.1%, 5.3%, 32.7% and 12.9% of the sequences in PE, CE,SE and IW, respectively, implicating that Hydrogenophaga grew well with or without organics.Thauera, which contains likely obligate autotrophic denitrifiers, appeared to be the most dominant genera(23.6%) in IW and accounted for 2.5%, 4.6% and 8.9% in PE, CE and SE,respectively. Thermomonas, which is related to heterotrophic denitrification, accounted for 4.2% and 7.9% in PE and CE fed with a higher content of labile organics, respectively.In contrast, Thermomonas was not detected in IW and accounted for only 0.6% in SE. Our results suggest that Thermomonas are more competitive than Thauera in hydrogenotrophic denitrification with biodegradable organics. 10Genome sequences of horticultural plants:past,present,and future显示文摘Horticultural plants play various and critical roles for humans by providing fruits,vegetables,materials for beverages,and herbal medicines and by acting as ornamentals.They have also shaped human art,culture,and environments and thereby have influenced the lifestyles of humans.With the advent of sequencing technologies,there has been a dramatic increase in the number of sequenced genomes of horticultural plant species in the past decade.The genomes of horticultural plants are highly diverse and complex,often with a high degree of heterozygosity and a high ploidy due to their long and complex history of evolution and domestication.Here we summarize the advances in the genome sequencing of horticultural plants,the reconstruction of pan-genomes,and the development of horticultural genome databases.We also discuss past,present,and future studies related to genome sequencing,data storage,data quality,data sharing,and data visualization to provide practical guidance for genomic studies of horticultural plants.Finally,we propose a horticultural plant genome project as well as the roadmap and technical details toward three goals of the project.Fei Chen Yunfeng Song Xiaojiang Li Junhao Chen Lan Mo Xingtan Zhang Zhenguo Lin Liangsheng Zhang 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:16

12Analysis of Types and Changes of Village-level Economy in Rural Gongyi City, Henan Province Since 1990显示文摘Based on the research on the rural living standard in China in terms of annual net income per capita, we de-fine six types of village-level economy, i.e. 'to be extremely poor', 'to make a basic living', 'to dress warmly and eat one's fill', 'to try to enrich (to disengage poverty)', 'to be well-off' and 'to be affluent'. The data of average annual net income of all the 292 villages between 1990 and 2004 in rural Gongyi City, Henan Province were collected, veri-fied and classified. By using standard deviation, coefficient of variation and regression analysis, it is found that the Gongyi's rural economy has boosted up remarkably from the relative-poverty and absolute-poverty stages in 1990 to the well-off in 2004. However, the absolute differences between villages present a trend of enlargement, while the rela-tive differences fluctuating. On the other hand, spatial analysis of village-level economy shows that most villages with relatively high economic development level were located along national expressway and most villages with abso-lute-poverty lay in remote mountainous areas in 1990. Since the 1990s, the rapid urbanization and industrialization have had strongly positive effects on rural economic growth. Initial economic foundation, natural resources and tradi-tional techniques also contribute to village economy. 14Sedimentation and morphological changes at Yuantuojiao Point, estuary of the North Branch, Changjiang River显示文摘The North Branch, separated by the Chongming Island, was once the main channel in the estuary of the Changjiang River. Reclamation and a decrease in runoff to the North Branch had led to the narrowing and shallowing of the channel. The Yuantuojiao Point is located at the intersecting point connecting the North Branch of the Changjiang River and the Jiangsu coastline. Erosion cliffs are developed between the typical silty-muddy tidal flat and the salt marsh occupied by Spartina alterniflorea, and this has changed rapidly over the past few years. The sediment grain size analysis results of the surficial and two core samples indicate that the Yuantuojiao Point tidal flat experienced continuous accretional processes. Based upon 137 Cs analysis results of the YT and YY Cores sampled from the tidal flat at the Yuantuojiao Point, the average sedimentation rate of the YT Core was 2.30 cm/a from 1963 to 2007, and 2.38 cm/a from 1954 to 2007 for the YY Core. The sedimentation rates of both core locations have declined since the 1960s corresponding to the seaward reclamation at the Yuantuojiao Point. The average sedimentation rates at the Yuantuojiao Point were similar to that of the silty-muddy tidal flat at the northern Jiangsu coast, but lower than that of the south of the Changjiang River Estuary. According to field morphological investigations from 2006 to 2008 on the salt marsh at the Yuantuojiao Point, cliffs retreated markedly by storm surges and disappeared gradually because of the rapid sedimentation on the silty-muddy tidal flat. The maximum annual retreat reached 10 m. The recent sedimentation and morphological changes of the Yuantuojiao Point tidal flat not only displayed the retreat of the salt marsh and the disappearance of cliffs, but also was accompanied by rapid sedimentation of the silty-muddy tidal flat and the salt marsh, indicating the responses to the tidal currents, storm surges, Spartina alterniflorea trapping sediments and large-scale reclamation. 15The fabrication of biomimetic biphasic CAN-PAC hydrogel with a seamless interfacial layer applied in osteochondral defect repair显示文摘Cartilage tissue engineering based on biomimetic scaffolds has become a rapidly developing strategy for repairing cartilage defects. In this study, a biphasic CAN-PAC hydrogel for osteochondral defect(OCD)regeneration was fabricated based on the density difference between the two layers via a thermally reactive,rapid cross-linking method. The upper hydrogel was cross-linked by CSMA and NIPAm, and the lower hydrogel was composed of PECDA, AAm and PEGDA. The interface between the two layers was first grafted by the physical cross-linking of calcium gluconate and alginate, followed by the chemical cross-linking of the carbon-carbon double bonds in the other components. The pore sizes of the upper and lower hydrogels were ~ 187.4 and ~ 112.6 μm, respectively. The moduli of the upper and lower hydrogels were ~ 0.065 and~ 0.261 MPa. This prepared bilayer hydrogel exhibited the characteristics of mimetic composition, mimetic structure and mimetic stiffness, which provided a microenvironment for sustaining cell attachment and viability. Meanwhile, the biodegradability and biocompatibility of the CAN-PAC hydrogel were examined in vivo. Furthermore, an osteochondral defect model was developed in rabbits, and the bilayer hydrogels were implanted into the defect. 16Effects of tetrahedral framework nucleic acid/wogonin complexes on osteoarthritis显示文摘Osteoarthritis, a disorder characterized by articular cartilage deterioration, varying degrees of inflammation, and chondrocyte apoptosis, is the most common chronic joint disease. To slow or reverse its progression, inflammation should be inhibited, and chondrocyte proliferation should be promoted. Tetrahedral framework nucleic acids can be internalized by chondrocytes(even inflammatory chondrocytes) and can enhance their proliferation and migration. Wogonin, a naturally occurring flavonoid,suppresses oxidative stress and inhibits inflammation. In this study, tetrahedral framework nucleic acids were successfully selfassembled and used to load wogonin. We confirmed the effective formation of tetrahedral framework nucleic acid/wogonin complexes by dynamic light scattering, zeta potential analysis, transmission electron microscopy, and fluorescence spectrophotometry. Tetrahedral framework nucleic acids, wogonin, and especially tetrahedral framework nucleic acid/wogonin complexes effectively alleviated inflammation in vitro and in vivo and prevented cartilage destruction. In addition, these materials remarkably downregulated the expression of inflammatory mediators and matrix metalloproteinases, upregulated chondrogenic markers, and promoted tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 1 and B-cell lymphoma 2 expression. In vivo, after treatment with tetrahedral framework nucleic acid/wogonin complexes, the bone mineral density in regenerated tissues was much higher than that found in the untreated groups. Histologically, the complexes enhanced new tissue regeneration, significantly suppressed chondrocyte apoptosis, and promoted chondrogenic marker expression. They also inhibited cell apoptosis, increased chondrogenic marker expression, and suppressed the expression of inflammatory mediators in osteoarthritis. To overcome data deficiency of current data-driven algorithms, a parallel system is built to improve complex learning system by self-guidance. Based on the Markov chain(MC) theory, we combine the transfer learning, predictive learning, deep learning and reinforcement learning to tackle the data and action processes and to express the knowledge. 18Association of serum levels of perfluoroalkyl substances with gestational diabetes mellitus and postpartum blood glucose显示文摘This study was conducted to examine the association of perfluoroalkyl substance(PFAS)exposure with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM) risk and postpartum fasting blood glucose.We used a 1:2 matched case–control study with 84 GDM subjects and 168 healthy pregnant women from Beijing, China. The maternal blood was collected at 1–2 days before delivery, and eight linear isomers and fourteen branched isomers were determined in maternal serum.Logistic regression analyses were performed to evaluate the associations after adjusting for potential confounders. The median of the sum of levels of total PFASs was 4.24 ng/m L with a interquartile range(IQR) of 2.82–6.54 ng/m L. Although maternal PFAS exposure was not associated with risk of GDM, significant positive associations were observed between evaluated exposure to specific PFAS congeners and increasing blood glucose. The odds ratio(ORs) of the highest category of postpartum fasting blood glucose for perfluoro-1-metylheptylsulfonat(1 m-PFOS), perfluoro-3/4-metylheptylsulfonat(3 m+4 m-PFOS), perfluoro-5-metylheptylsulfonat(5 m-PFOS), and perfluorohexane sulfonate(PFHx S) were 2.03(95% CI: 1.09–3.77), 1.93(95% CI:1.04–3.58), 2.48(95% CI: 1.33–4.65), and 2.26(95% CI: 1.21–4.21), respectively, suggesting negative effects of maternal exposure to specific PFAS compounds on glucose metabolism.Yuxin Wang Lei Zhang Yue Teng Jiayu Zhang Lin Yang Jingguang Li Jianqiang Lai Yunfeng Zhao Yongning Wu 2018Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,7:8

20Novel Recombinant Seneca Valley Virus Isolated from Slaughtered Pigs in Guangdong Province显示文摘Dear Editor,Since the first outbreak in Brazil in 2015,Seneca Valley virus(SVV)associated with porcine idiopathic vesicular disease,has shown increasing geographic distribution.Cases of SVV have been reported from several countries including the United States(US),Colombia,Thailand,Canada,and China(Pasma et al.2008;Zhang et al.2015;Sun et al.2017;Wu et al.2017;Liu et al.2018;Saeng-Chuto et al.2018).SVV was first identified in the US in 2002 and is the only member of the genus Senecavirus in the family Picomaviridae(Hales et al.2008;Leme et al.2017).The SVV genome contains a large open reading frame(ORF)encoding a polyprotein,which is cleaved into various mature viral proteins including the leader protein(L),structural proteins(VP1,VP2,VP3,and VP4),and non-structural proteins(2A,2B,2C,3A,3B,3C,and 3D)(Hales et al 2008).Structural proteins bind to their receptor,anthrax toxin receptor 1,to mediate viral invasion and stimulate specific immunity of the host(Jayawardena et al.2018).Non-structural proteins such as 3C suppress innate immune responses by degrading interferon regulatory factor 3(IRF 3)and IRF7 and inhibit the activation of RIG-1,TBK1,and TRAF3 through deubiquitination(Xue et al 2018).Jianxin Liu Yunfeng Zha Huizi Li Yanwei Sun Fuguang Wang Rong Lu Zhangyong Ning 2019Virologica Sinica2019,34,6:7
