1UAV Communications with Millimeter-Wave Beamforming:Potentials,Scenarios,and Challenges显示文摘Unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)has been widely used in many fields and is arousing global attention.As the resolution of the equipped sensors in the UAV becomes higher and the tasks become more complicated,much higher data rate and longer communication range are required in the foreseeable future.As the millimeter-wave(mm Wave)band can provide more abundant frequency resources than the microwave band,much higher achievable rate can be guaranteed to support UAV services such as video surveillance,hotspot coverage,and emergency communications,etc.The flexible mm Wave beamforming can be used to overcome the high path loss caused by the long propagation distance.In this paper,we study three typical application scenarios for mm Wave-UAV communications,namely communication terminal,access point,and backbone link.We present several key enabling techniques for UAV communications,including beam tracking,multi-beam forming,joint Tx/Rx beam alignment,and full-duplex relay techniques.We show the coupling relation between mm Wave beamforming and UAV positioning for mm Wave-UAV communications.Lastly,we summarize the challenges and research directions of mm Wave-UAV communications in detail.Zhenyu Xiao Lipeng Zhu Xiang-Gen Xia 2020China Communications2020,17,9:17
2A new free-hand pedicle screw placement technique with reference to the supraspinal ligament显示文摘We sought to compare the safety and accuracy of a new free-hand pedicle screw placement technique to that of the conventional technique.One hundred fifty-three consecutive adult patients with simple fracture in the thoracic or/and lumbar spine were alternately assigned to either the new free-hand or the conventional group.In the new free-hand technique group,preoperative computerized tomography(CT) images were used to calculate the targeted medial-lateral angle of each pedicle trajectory and the pedicle screw was inserted perpendicular to the corresponding supraspinal ligament.In the conventional technique group,the medial-lateral and cranial-caudal angle of each pedicle trajectory was determined by intraoperatively under fluoroscopic guidance.The accuracy rate of pedicle screw placement,the time of intraoperative fluoroscopy,the operating time and the amount of blood loss during operation were respectively compared.All screws were analyzed by using intraoperative radiographs,intraoperative triggered electromyography(EMG) monitoring data,postoperative CT data and clinical outcomes.The accuracy rate of pedicle screw placement in the new free-hand technique group and the conventional technique group was 96.3% and 94.2%(P < 0.05),respectively.The intraoperative fluoroscopy time of the new technique group was less than that of the conventional technique group(5.37 seconds vs.8.79 seconds,P < 0.05).However,there was no statistical difference in the operating time and the amount of blood loss during operation(P > 0.05).Pedicle screw placement with the free-hand technique which keeps the screw perpendicular to the supraspinal ligament is an accurate,reliable and safe technique to treat simple fracture in the thoracic or lumbar spine.Juming Li Hong Zhao Hao Xie Lipeng Yu Jifu Wei Min Zong Feng Chen Ziqiang Zhu Ning Zhang Xiaojian Cao 2014The Journal of Biomedical Research2014,28,1:7
3CRA-40/Atmosphere—The First-Generation Chinese Atmospheric Reanalysis(1979–2018):System Description and Performance Evaluation显示文摘Atmospheric reanalysis reproduces the past atmospheric conditions through assimilation of historical meteorological observations with fixed version of a numerical weather prediction(NWP)model and data assimilation(DA)system.It is widely used in weather,climate,and even business-related research and applications.This paper reports the development of CMA’s first-generation global atmospheric reanalysis(RA)covering 1979–2018(CRA-40;CRA refers to CMA-RA).CRA-40 is produced by using the Global Spectral Model(GSM)/Gridpoint Statistical Interpolation(GSI)at a 6-h time interval and a TL574 spectral(34-km)resolution with the model top at 0.27 hPa.A large number of reprocessed satellite data and widely collected conventional observations were assimilated during the reanalyzing process,including the reprocessed atmospheric motion vector(AMV)products from FY-2C/D/E/G satellites,dense conventional observations(at about 120 radiosonde and 2400 synoptic stations)over China,as well as MWHS-2 and GNSS-RO observations from FY-3C.The reanalysis fitting to observations is improved over time,especially for surface pressure with root-mean-square error reduced from 1.05 hPa in 1979 to 0.8 hPa,and for upper air temperature from 1.65 K in 1979 to 1.35 K,in 2018.The patterns of global analysis increments for temperature,specific humidity,and zonal wind are consistent with the changes in the observing system.Near surface temperature from the model’s 6-h forecast reflects the global warming trend reasonably.The CRA-40 precipitation pattern matches well with those of GPCP and other reanalyses.CRA-40 also successfully captures the QBO and its vertical and temporal development,hemispherical atmospheric circulation change,and moisture transport by the East Asian summer monsoon.CRA is now operationally running in near real time as a climate data assimilation system in CMA.Zhiquan LIU Lipeng JIANG Chunxiang SHI Tao ZHANG Zijiang ZHOU Jie LIAO Shuang YAO Jingwei LIU Minyan WANG Huiying WANG Xiao LIANG Zhisen ZHANG Yan YAO Ting ZHU Zhe CHEN Wenhui XU Lijuan CAO Hui JIANG Kaixi HU 2023Journal of Meteorological Research2023,37,1:4
4A panel of monoclonal antibodies against the prion protein proves that there is no prion protein in human pancreatic ductal epithelial cells显示文摘Prion diseases are a group of neurodegenerative diseases that are fatal. The study of these unique diseases in China is hampered by a lack of resources. Amongst the most important resources for biological study are monoclonal antibodies. Here, we characterize a panel of monoclonal antibodies specific for cellular prion protein by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA), immunofluorescent staining, flow cytometry, and western blotting. 6Third-order nonlinear optical properties of WTe2 films synthesized by pulsed laser deposition显示文摘The prominent third-order nonlinear optical properties of WTe2 films are studied through the Z-scan technique using a femtosecond pulsed laser at 1030 nm.Open-aperture(OA)and closed-aperture(CA)Z-scan measurements are performed at different intensities to investigate the nonlinear absorption and refraction properties of WTe2 films.OA Z-scan results show that WTe2 films always hold a saturable absorption characteristic without transition to reverse saturable absorption.Further,a large nonlinear absorption coefficientβis determined to be-3.37×10^3 cm∕GW by fitting the OA Z-scan curve at the peak intensity of 15.603 GW∕cm^2.In addition,through the slow saturation absorption model,the ground state absorption cross section,excited state absorption cross section,and absorber's density were found to be 1.4938×10^-16 cm^2,1.2536×10^-16 cm^2,and 6.2396×10^20 cm^-3,respectively.CA Z-scan results exhibit a classic peak–valley shape of the CA Z-scan signal,which reveals a self-defocusing optical effect of WTe2 films under the measured environment.Furthermore,a considerable nonlinear refractive index value n2 can be obtained at-1.629×10^-2 cm^2∕GW.Ultimately,the values of the real and imaginary parts of the third-order nonlinear susceptibility of WTe2 are roughly estimated to be-5.93×10^-9 and-1.01×10^-8 esu with the help of first-principles calculations.WTe2 possesses sizeable thirdorder nonlinear coefficients compared with other materials,which suggests that it has great potential to improve performance in nonlinear optical devices.MI HE YEQUAN CHEN LIPENG ZHU HUAN WANG XUEFENG WANG XINLONG XU ZHANYU REN 2019Photonics Research2019,7,12:1
7Accurate querying of frequent subgraphs in power grid graph data显示文摘With the development of information technology, the amount of power grid topology data has gradually increased. Therefore, accurate querying of this data has become particularly important. Several researchers have chosen different indexing methods in the filtering stage to obtain more optimized query results because currently there is no uniform and efficient indexing mechanism that achieves good query results. In the traditional algorithm, the hash table for index storage is prone to 'collision' problems, which decrease the index construction efficiency. Aiming at the problem of quick index entry, based on the construction of frequent subgraph indexes, a method of serialized storage optimization based on multiple hash tables is proposed. This method mainly uses the exploration sequence to make the keywords evenly distributed; it avoids conflicts of the stored procedure and performs a quick search of the index. The proposed algorithm mainly adopts the 'filterverify' mechanism; in the filtering stage, the index is first established offline, and then the frequent subgraphs are found using the 'contains logic' rule to obtain the candidate set. 9Engineered extracellular vesicles for delivery of siRNA promoting targeted repair of traumatic spinal cord injury显示文摘Spinal cord injury(SCI)is a severe disease of the nervous system that causes irreparable damage and loss of function,for which no effective treatments are available to date.Engineered extracellular vesicles(EVs)carrying therapeutic molecules hold promise as an alternative SCI therapy depending on the specific functionalized EVs and the appropriate engineering strategy.In this study,we demonstrated the design of a drug delivery system of peptide CAQK-modified,siRNA-loaded EVs(C-EVs-siRNA)for SCI-targeted therapy.The peptide CAQK was anchored through a chemical modification to the membranes of EVs isolated from induced neural stem cells(iNSCs).CCL2-siRNA was then loaded into the EVs through electroporation.The modified EVs still maintained the basic properties of EVs and showed favorable targeting and therapeutic effects in vitro and in vivo.C-EVs-siRNA specifically delivered siRNA to the SCI region and was taken up by target cells.C-EVs-siRNA used the inherent anti-inflammatory and neuroreparative functions of iNSCs-derived EVs in synergy with the loaded siRNA,thus enhancing the therapeutic effect against SCI.The combination of targeted modified EVs and siRNA effectively regulated the microenvironmental disturbance after SCI,promoted the transformation of microglia/macrophages from M1 to M2 and limited the negative effects of the inflammatory response and neuronal injury on functional recovery in mice after SCI.Thus,engineered EVs are a potentially feasible and efficacious treatment for SCI,and may also be used to develop targeted treatments for other diseases.Yuluo Rong Zhuanghui Wang Pengyu Tang Jiaxing Wang Chengyue Ji Jie Chang Yufeng Zhu Wu Ye Jianling Bai Wei Liu Guoyong Yin Lipeng Yu Xuhui Zhou Weihua Cai 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,5:1

12An Efficient Certificateless Aggregate Signature Scheme Designed for VANET显示文摘The Vehicular Ad-hoc Network(VANET)is the fundamental of smart transportation system in the future,but the security of the communication between vehicles and vehicles,between vehicles and roadside infrastructures have become increasingly prominent.Certificateless aggregate signature protocol is used to address this security issue,but the existing schemes still have many drawbacks in terms of security and efficiency:First,many schemes are not secure,and signatures can be forged by the attacker;Second,even if some scheme are secure,many schemes use a large number of bilinear pairing operation,and the computation overhead is large.At the same time,the length of the aggregated signature also increases linearly with the increase of user numbers,resulting in a large communication overhead.In order to overcome the above challenges,we propose a new certificateless aggregate signature scheme for VANET,and prove the security of the scheme under the random oracle model.The new scheme uses pseudonym to realize the conditional privacy protection of the vehicle’s information.The new scheme does not use bilinear pairing operation,and the calculation efficiency is high.At the same time,the length of the aggregate signature of the new scheme is constant,thereby greatly reducing the communication and storage overhead.The analysis results demonstrate that the new scheme is not only safer,but also superior in performance to the recent related schemes in computation overhead and communication cost.Cui Li Gang Wu Lipeng Xing Feng Zhu Liang Zhao 2020Computers, Materials & Continua2020,,5:1
13An Experimental Study on Oxidized Mercury Adsorption by Bromide Blended Coal Combustion Fly Ash显示文摘The application of forced mercury oxidation technology would lead to an increase of Hg^(2+)concentration in the flue gas.Although Hg^(2+)can be easily removed in the WFGD,the mercury re-emission in the WFGD can decrease the total removal of mercury from coal-fired power plants.Hence,it is necessary to control Hg^(2+)concentration in the devices before the WFGD.Fly ash adsorbent is considered as a potential alternative for commercial activated carbon adsorbent.However,the adsorption efficiency of the original fly ash is low.Modification procedure is needed to enhance the adsorption performance.In this study,the adsorption of Hg^(2+)by brominated fly ash was studied.The fly ash was collected from the full-scale power plant utilizing bromide-blended coal combustion technology.The brominated fly ash exhibited excellent performance for Hg^(2+)removal.The flue gas component HBr and SO_(2)could improve adsorbent’s performance,while HCl would hinder its adsorption process.Also,it was demonstrated by Hg-TPD experiments that the adsorbed Hg^(2+)mainly existed on the fly ash surface in the form of HgBr_(2).In summary,the brominated fly ash has a broad application prospect for mercury control.Mingyu Yu Mengyuan Liu Guangqian Luo Ruize Sun Jingyuan Hu Hailu Zhu Li Zhong Lipeng Han Xian Li Hong Yao 2021Energy Engineering2021,118,5:0
14Seawater temperature and salinity sensing based on in-fiber Michelson-Fabry-Perrot hybrid interferometer employing frequency domain decomposition method显示文摘We propose an in-fiber Michelson-Fabry-Perrot(M-FP)hybrid interferometer for the simultaneous measurement of seawater temperature and salinity.The sensor head consists of two parallel hetero Fabry-Perot(FP)cavities fabricated on the end face of the twin core fiber(TCF).A fiber fusion taper is used to split and recouple the light in the two cores.In this case,the Vernier effect can be obtained which can greatly enhance the sensitivity and solve the problem of temperature cross-sensitivity.Different from the traditional demodulation method based on envelop detection,we employed frequency domain decomposition method(FDDM)to demodulate the sensing signal.The simulation results indicate that the proposed sensor has high sensitivity to salinity and temperature.Thanks to the merits of high sensitivity,ease of fabrication and small footprint,the proposed seawater temperature and salinity sensor would have potential applications in marine science,food industry and ocean ranching.WANG Jiahui WEI Xian ZHU Yan SHEN Yue PANG Lipeng DUAN Shaoxiang 2024Optoelectronics Letters2024,20,2:0
15Pre-Processing,Quality Assurance,and Use of Global Atmospheric Motion Vector Observations in CRA显示文摘Assimilation of atmospheric motion vectors(AMVs)is important in the initialization of the atmospheric state in numerical weather prediction models,especially over oceans and at high latitudes where conventional data are sparse.This paper presents a detailed description of the pre-processing,quality assurance,and use of global AMVs in China’s first generation of the 40-yr(1979-2018)CRA global atmospheric reanalysis product.A new AMV archive is integrated from near real-time operational Global Telecommunication System data and reprocessed AMV datasets released or produced mainly during 2014-2016 according to a priority principle.To avoid the misuse of data with systematic quality problems,the observations of all 18 types of AMVs from 54 satellites are pre-evaluated over the whole time series.The pre-evaluation system developed by the CRA team is based on the NCEP Gridpoint Statistical Interpolation(GSI)three-dimensional variational assimilation system and the ERA-Interim reanalysis product.The AMVs in the new AMV archive are denser than the AMVs prepared for the Climate Forecast System Reanalysis product,the bias and root-mean-square values are smaller,and the time series are steadier.The new AMV archive is assimilated in the CRA product based on the NCEP GSI assimilation procedure and quality control configuration with reference to the pre-evaluation results.This is the first time that the reprocessed AMVs from Fengyun-2 satellites from June 2005 to July 2017 are assimilated in a reanalysis product.The assimilation features inspire confidence in the accuracy and stability of these data.The mean root-mean-square values of the observation minus analysis infrared,water vapor,and visible AMV were 1.5-3.4,2.7-3.6,and 1.3-2.1 m s-1,respectively.This experience of integrating,pre-evaluating,and assimilating AMV observations is valuable for the next generation of reanalysis products.Minyan WANG Shuang YAO Lipeng JIANG Tao ZHANG Chunxiang SHI Ting ZHU 2022Journal of Meteorological Research2022,36,6:0
16Deadline based scheduling for data-intensive applications in clouds显示文摘Cloud computing emerges as a new computing pattern that can provide elastic services for any users around the world. It provides good chances to solve large scale scientific problems with fewer efforts. Application deployment remains an important issue in clouds. Appropriate scheduling mechanisms can shorten the total completion time of an application and therefore improve the quality of service(QoS) for cloud users. Unlike current scheduling algorithms which mostly focus on single task allocation, we propose a deadline based scheduling approach for data-intensive applications in clouds. It does not simply consider the total completion time of an application as the sum of all its subtasks' completion time. Not only the computation capacity of virtual machine(VM) is considered, but also the communication delay and data access latencies are taken into account. 17Space/Air Covert Communications:Potentials,Scenarios,and Key Technologies显示文摘Space/air communications have been envisioned as an essential part of the next-generation mobile communication networks for providing highquality global connectivity. However, the inherent broadcasting nature of wireless propagation environment and the broad coverage pose severe threats to the protection of private data. Emerging covert communications provides a promising solution to achieve robust communication security. Aiming at facilitating the practical implementation of covert communications in space/air networks, we present a tutorial overview of its potentials, scenarios, and key technologies. Specifically, first, the commonly used covertness constraint model, covert performance metrics, and potential application scenarios are briefly introduced. Then, several efficient methods that introduce uncertainty into the covert system are thoroughly summarized, followed by several critical enabling technologies, including joint resource allocation and deployment/trajectory design, multi-antenna and beamforming techniques, reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS), and artificial intelligence algorithms. 18Influencing factors and significance of organic and inorganic nitrogen isotopic compositions in lacustrine sedimentary rocks显示文摘Comprehensive nitrogen biogeochemical cycle has been reconstructed for representative lacustrine organic-rich sedimentary rock in China,namely the Triassic Yanchang Formation(YF,199–230 Ma)in Ordos and the Cretaceous Qingshankou Formation(QF,86–92 Ma)in Songliao basins,by evaluating the organic and inorganic nitrogen isotopic compositions rather than only organic or bulk nitrogen isotopic compositions.The results indicate that the nitrogen isotope values of bulk rock(δ^(15)N_(bulk))in the non-metamorphic stage are significantly different from that of kerogen,which challenge the conceptual framework of sedimentary nitrogen isotope interpretation.Theδ^(15)N_(bulk)from the YF and QF were lower than their respective the nitrogen isotope values of kerogen(δ^(15)N_(ker)),with offsets up to5.1‰,which have the inverse relationship for the metamorphosed rock.Thermal evolution did not significantly modify the d15N of bulk rock and kerogen.The d15N of sediments from the YF(δ^(15)N_(bulk),1.6‰–5.6‰)were lower than that of rock from the QF(δ^(15)N_(bulk),10.2‰–15.3‰).The nitrogen isotope values of silicate incorporated nitrogen(δ^(15)N_(sil))were slightly lower than those of the d15Nker in the YF and obviously lower for the QF.The fact that different nitrogen cycles occur in the YF and QF due to the different depositional redox conditions leads to different isotopic results.The YF water environment dominated by oxic conditions is not conducive to the occurrence of denitrification and anammox,and no abundant N2 loss leads to the relatively lightδ^(15)N_(bulk).In the stratified water for the QF,redox transition zone promotes denitrification and anammox,resulting in the heavyδ^(15)N_(bulk)of rock and promotes the DNRA,resulting in heavyδ^(15)N_(ker)and lowδ^(15)N_(sil).Juan Chen Jianfa Chen Lipeng Yao Qingyong Luo Shengbao Shi Jianping Chen Lei Zhu Zeya Chen 2023Geoscience Frontiers2023,14,2:0
