1Guidelines on common cold for Traditional Chinese Medicine based on pattern differentiation显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To establish the guidelines on common cold treated with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in terms of pattern identification. METHODS: The guidelines were formulated by using the basic patterns of common cold in ChinaPharmacopeia integrated with findings from systematic literature review and the experts' consensus on the issue in question. RESULTS: Common cold was divided into four patterns in the guidelines. The medications were recommended respectively: Ganmaoqingre granule for wind-cold exterior syndrome,Yinqiaojiedu granule for wind-heat exterior syndrome, Huoxiangzhengqi Wan for summer-heat dampness exterior syndrome and Shensu Wan for wind-cold exterior syndrome accompanied with Qi deficiency. CONCLUSION: The guidelines were primarily derived from the practice experience of TCM and the experts' consensus. The process was not strictly evidence-based because of lacking enough clinical studies. 2Distributed vibration control of a large solar power satellite显示文摘To deal with the vibration problem of the solar power satellite(SPS),the distributed vibration control approach is investigated in this paper.Taking the Multi-Rotary joints SPS as the research objective,the control unit(CU)and the location relationship matrix are rstly de ned for distributed controller design according to the con guration of SPS.The dynamic model of each CU is therefore established based on the nite element method.The dynamic model of the whole SPS structure is then developed using the CU models,and is updated along with on-orbit assembly.The distributed cooperative controller,using proportional and di erential feedback and the interaction feedback among adjacent CUs,is proposed to suppress vibration.The close-loop distributed cooperative control system is then achieved by integrating all distributed controllers,and the asymptotic stability is proofed by the Lyapunov's stability theorem.To verify the feasibility of the proposed control system,three numerical cases are nally presented.The results demonstrate that the distributed cooperative controllers can e ectively suppress vibration during on-orbit assembly and operation after assembly,and the closed-loop system has good fault tolerance.Enmei Wang Shunan Wu Yufei Liu Zhigang Wu Xiangdong Liu 2019Astrodynamics2019,3,2:2

4Down-staging depth score could be a survival predictor for locally advanced gastric cancer patients after preoperative chemoradiotherapy显示文摘Objective:The predictive effect of preoperative chemoradiotherapy(CRT)is low and difficult in guiding individualized treatment.We examined a surrogate endpoint for long-term outcomes in locally advanced gastric cancer patients after preoperative CRT.Methods:From April 2012 to April 2019,95 patients with locally advanced gastric cancer who received preoperative concurrent CRT and who were enrolled in three prospective studies were included.All patients were stage T_(3/4) N_(+).Local control,distant metastasis-free survival(DMFS),disease-free survival(DFS)and overall survival(OS)were evaluated.Clinicopathological factors related to long-term prognosis were analyzed using univariate and multivariate analyses.The down-staging depth score(DDS),which is a novel method of evaluating CRT response,was used to predict long-term outcomes.Results:The median follow-up period for survivors was 30 months.The area under the curve(AUC)of the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve predicted by the DDS was 0.728,which was better than the pathological complete response(pCR),histological response and ypN0.Decision curve analysis further affirmed that DDS had the largest net benefit.The DDS cut-off value was 4.pCR and ypN0 were associated with OS(P=0.026 and 0.049).Surgery and DDS are correlated with DMFS,DFS and OS(surgery:P=0.001,<0.001 and<0.001,respectively;and DDS:P=0.009,0.013 and 0.032,respectively).Multivariate analysis showed that DDS was an independent prognostic factor of DFS(P=0.021).Conclusions:DDS is a simple,short-term indicator that was a better surrogate endpoint than pCR,histological response and ypN0 for DFS.Ning Li Xin Wang Yuan Tang Dongbin Zhao Yihebali Chi Lin Yang Liming Jiang Jun Jiang Jinming Shi Wenyang Liu Hua Ren Hui Fang Yu Tang Bo Chen Ningning Lu Hao Jing Shunan Qi Shulian Wang Yueping Liu Yongwen Song Yexiong Li Jing Jin 2021Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,4:1
5Positive effects of applying endophytic bacteria in eggplant-Sedum intercropping system on Cd phytoremediation and vegetable production in cadmium polluted greenhouse显示文摘The combination of intercropping and phytoremediation in the remediation of cadmium contaminated soil is an emerging model in recent years,but the results of previous studies are inconsistent.In the field experiment,eggplant was intercropped with hyperaccumula-tor Sedum alfredii Hance(inoculated or not inoculated with endophytic bacteria)to study the effects of intercropping on vegetable safety production,phytoremediation efficiency of hyperaccumulator and variation of soil available nutrients.The results showed that the in-tercropping treatment had a negative effect on the growth of eggplant and Sedum,but en-dophyte SaMR12 alleviated the inhibition of intercropping on plant growth.Intercropping treatment increases the Cd concentration in edible part of eggplant to 1.34 mg/kg compared with eggplant monoculture(1.19 mg/kg).While the application of SaMR12 reduces the Cd concentration of eggplant fruit to 0.95 mg/kg and significantly promotes the Cd uptake by Sedum.What's more surprising is that compared with eggplant monocropping,the con-tent of soil available nitrogen,phosphorus and potassium in the treatment of intercropping with inoculated Sedum increased significantly.And according to the correlation analysis of various indexes of plants and soil,the Cd content of eggplant is negatively correlated with the available phosphorus and potassium in the soil,while the Cd content of Sedum is positively correlated with it,which suggested that the application of phosphorus and potas-sium fertilizers in this experimental site was beneficial to reduce Cd content in eggplant and improve Cd phytoextraction of Sedum.Therefore,in the daily production of moderately Cd-contaminated soil,intercropping eggplant with Sedum inoculated with endophytic bacteria is an excellent Phytoextraction Coupled with Agro-safe-production(PCA)pattern.Luyao Ma Lukuan Huang Qizhen Liu Shunan Xu Zheyu Wen Shuai Qin Tingqiang Li Ying Feng 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,5:1

9Effect of the gap junction blocker 1-heptanol on chondrogenic differentiation of mouse bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in vitro显示文摘Objective:To investigate the effect of the gap junction blocker 1-heptanol on the in vitro chondrogenic differentiation of mouse bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) following induction by GDF-5. Methods:MSCs were isolated from mouse bone marrow and cultured in vitro. After 3 passages cells were induced to undergo chondrogenic differentiation with recombinant human GDF-5(100 ng/ml), with or without 1-heptanol(2.5μmol/L). The effect of 1-heptanol on MSCs proliferation was investigated using the MTT assay. TypeⅡ collagen mRNA and protein were examined by RT-PCR and immunocytochemistry respectively, and the sulfate glycosaminoglycan was assessed by Alcian blue dye staining. Connexin43(Cx43) protein was examined by western blotting. Results:GDF-5 induced proliferation and chondrogenic differentiation of MSCs. While 1-heptanol treatment had no effect on this proliferation, it inhibited the expression of both typeⅡ collagen mRNA and protein. The Alcian blue staining revealed that 1-heptanol also inhibited the deposition of the typical cartilage extracellular matrix promoted by recombinant GDF-5. Western blotting demonstrated that 1-heptanol had no effect on the expression of Cx43. Conclusion:These results suggest that mouse bone marrow MSCs can be differentiated into a chondrogenic phenotype by GDF- 5 administration in vitro. 10Animal models for COVID-19:advances,gaps and perspectives显示文摘COVID-19,caused by SARS-CoV-2,is the most consequential pandemic of this century.Since the outbreak in late 2019,animal models have been playing crucial roles in aiding the rapid development of vaccines/drugs for prevention and therapy,as well as understanding the pathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2 infection and immune responses of hosts.However,the current animal models have some deficits and there is an urgent need for novel models to evaluate the virulence of variants of concerns(VOC),antibodydependent enhancement(ADE),and various comorbidities of COVID-19.This review summarizes the clinical features of COVID-19 in different populations,and the characteristics of the major animal models of SARS-CoV-2,including those naturally susceptible animals,such as non-human primates,Syrian hamster,ferret,minks,poultry,livestock,and mouse models sensitized by genetically modified,AAV/adenoviral transduced,mouse-adapted strain of SARS-CoV-2,and by engraftment of human tissues or cells.Since understanding the host receptors and proteases is essential for designing advanced genetically modified animal models,successful studies on receptors and proteases are also reviewed.Several improved alternatives for future mouse models are proposed,including the reselection of alternative receptor genes or multiple gene combinations,the use of transgenic or knock-in method,and different strains for establishing the next generation of genetically modified mice.Changfa Fan Yong Wu Xiong Rui Yuansong Yang Chen Ling Susu Liu Shunan Liu Youchun Wang 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,8:0
11Characteristic analysis of hydraulic hybrid vehicle based on limit cycle显示文摘The theory of limit cycles was applied to hydraulic hybrid vehicle (HHV) to analyze the dynamic characteristics of the system. The exact mathematical models based on configuration diagram of HHV were built to study on equilibrium points, nonexistence of limit cycle and stability of equilibrium points. The analysis showed that if the Young's modulus of fluid is neglected, the equilibrium points of the system will be distributed on both sides of the initial function. In addition, there is a unique equilibrium point according to the practical signification of the system parameters. The nonexistence analysis showed that there is no limit cycle for the system, no matter how the viscosity coefficient B changes. The stability analysis of equilibrium points showed that the system is asymptotically stable about the equilibrium point at B≥0 and the equilibrium point is the center point of the system at B=0. 12The various substrates of Usnea aurantiaco-atra and its algal sources in the Fildes Peninsula, Antarctica显示文摘The lichen species Usnea aurantiaco-atra(Jacq.) Bory is the most dominant vegetation on the Fildes Peninsula, Antarctica. Most individuals grow on rocks, and some are found with mosses. During the 27 th and 28 th Chinese National Antarctic Research expeditions of the Great Wall Station, U. aurantiaco-atra was observed growing on the lichen thallus of Umbilicaria antarctica Frey & I.M. Lamb, or on wood, which indicated that Usnea aurantiaco-atra could grow on various substrates. The diversities of the symbionts in U. aurantiaco-atra collected in the Fildes Peninsula were investigated using ITS r DNA sequences. The results showed that the sequences from mycobionts of U. aurantiaco-atra growing on various substrates did not exhibit significant differences. All photobionts in this lichen species were the green algae Trebouxia jamesii(Hildreth & Ahmadjian) G?rtner. The identical sequences from the photobionts of both Umbilicaria antarctica and Usnea aurantiaco-atra indicated there was an algae pool in this area and different mycobionts could obtain their algal partners from this pool. The variety of substrates for U. aurantiaco-atra suggested its photobiont could be obtained from a mature lichen thallus by vegetative propagation; from other lichen thalli(e.g. Umbilicaria antarctica); or from the surroundings. 13A Novel Method for Identifying Recursive Systematic Convolutional Encoders Based on the Cuckoo Search Algorithm显示文摘The existing methods for identifying recursive systematic convolutional encoders with high robustness require to test all the candidate generator matrixes in the search space exhaustively.With the increase of the codeword length and constraint length,the search space expands exponentially,and thus it limits the application of these methods in practice.To overcome the limitation,a novel identification method,which gets rid of exhaustive test,is proposed based on the cuckoo search algorithm by using soft-decision data.Firstly,by using soft-decision data,the probability that a parity check equation holds is derived.Thus,solving the parity check equations is converted to maximize the joint probability that parity check equations hold.Secondly,based on the standard cuckoo search algorithm,the established cost function is optimized.According to the final solution of the optimization problem,the generator matrix of recursive systematic convolutional code is estimated.Compared with the existing methods,our proposed method does not need to search for the generator matrix exhaustively and has high robustness.Additionally,it does not require the prior knowledge of the constraint length and is applicable in any modulation type.Shunan Han Peng Liu Guang Huang 2022China Communications2022,19,12:0
14Clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes of Chinese diffuse large B-cell lymphoma patients in the era of rituximab(2005–2018)显示文摘Background Rituximab combined with cyclophosphamide,doxorubicin hydrochloride,vincristine,and prednisone(R-CHOP)regimen has improved the survival of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)patients worldwide,compared with CHOP alone.Several limitations were seen in previous studies of Chinese DLBCL patients treated with R-CHOP or R-CHOP-like regimens.This study aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes of Chinese DLBCL patients treated with the standard first-line treatment.Methods Clinical data were collected from DLBCL patients who received frontline R-CHOP or R-CHOP-like regimens at the Cancer Hospital Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences&Peking Union Medical College(CHCAMS)between January 1,2005,and December 31,2018.The treatment outcomes were compared with those of patients diagnosed with DLBCL between 2004 and 2017 and who received immunochemotherapy from the United States Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results(SEER)database.Survival rates were estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method and compared using the log-rank test.Multivariate analysis of progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS)was performed using Cox proportional hazard regression.Results Overall,1084 patients from the CHCAMS and 4013 patients from the SEER database were included in the study.As of April 30,2022,the median follow-up period for the CHCAMS group was 87.3(range:0.5-195.4)months.For the CHCAMS group,the 5-year PFS and OS rates were 61.7%(95%confidence interval[CI]:58.8-64.7%)and 70.6%(95%CI:67.8-73.4%),respectively.For the SEER group,the 5-year OS rate was 66.5%(95%CI:65.0-68.0%),which was inferior to that of the CHCAMS group(P<0.001).After adjusting for clinical factors and treatment,no significant difference was observed in the OS between the CHCAMS and SEER groups(P=0.867).In the CHCAMS group,multivariate analysis showed that an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status score≥2,presence of B symptoms,Ann Arbor stage III-IV,elevated serumβ2-microglobulin levels,and bulky mass were independent adverse prognostic factors affecting PFS and OS(P<0.05).Additionally,patients aged over 60 years,elevated lactate dehydrogenase levels,and more than two extranodal sites were independent adverse prognostic factors for OS(P<0.05).Local radiotherapy was significantly associated with better PFS(P<0.001)and OS(P=0.001).Conclusion After adjusting for clinical and treatment-related factors,no significant difference was observed in the 5-year OS rate between Chinese DLBCL patients treated with standard first-line treatment and those from the SEER database.Yuankai Shi Haizhu Chen Yan Qin Jianliang Yang Peng Liu Xiaohui He Shengyu Zhou Liqiang Zhou Changgong Zhang Yongwen Song Yueping Liu Lin Gui Shulian Wang Jing Jin Hui Fang Shunan Qi Ning Li Yu Tang Xin Wang Sheng Yang 2023Cancer Pathogenesis and Therapy2023,1,1:0
15Dynamic Changes of Antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 in COVID-19 Patients at Early Stage of Outbreak显示文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),caused by SARS-CoV-2,has spread around the world with high mortality.To diagnose promptly and accurately is the vital step to effectively control its pandemic.Dynamic characteristics of SARSCoV-2-specific antibodies which are important for diagnosis of infection have not been fully demonstrated.In this retrospective,single-center,observational study,we enrolled the initial 131 confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Jin-Yin-Tan Hospital who had at least one-time antibody tested during their hospitalization.The dynamic changes of IgM and IgG antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein in 226 serum samples were detected by ELISA.The sensitivities of IgM and IgG ELISA detection were analyzed.Result showed that the sensitivity of the IgG ELISA detection(92.5%)was significantly higher than that of the IgM(70.8%)(P\0.001).The meantimes of seroconversion for IgM and IgG were6 days and 3 days,respectively.The IgM and IgG antibody levels peaked at around 18 days and 23 days,and then IgM fell to below the baseline level at about day 36,whereas IgG maintained at a relatively high level.In conclusion,antibodies should be detected to aid in diagnosis of COVID-19 infection.IgG could be a sensitive indicator for retrospective diagnosis and contact tracing,while IgM could be an indicator of early infection.Huaqing Shu Shuzhen Wang Shunan Ruan Yaxin Wang Jiancheng Zhang Yin Yuan Hong Liu Yongran Wu Ruiting Li Shangwen Pan Yaqi Ouyang Shiying Yuan Peng Zhou You Shang 2020Virologica Sinica2020,35,6:0
16The effect of lateral growth of self-assembled GaN microdisks on UV lasing action显示文摘There are significant differences in the extent of impurity incorporation on different crystallographic directions of GaN microstructures,and the impurity-related deep energy level behavior will have a significant impact on device performance.However,a comprehensive understanding of the effect of lateral growth on device performance has not been achieved due to the lack of comprehensive spatial distribution characterization of the optical behavior and impurity incorporation in GaN microstructures.We present a comprehensive study of the optical behavior and growth mechanism of self-assembled GaN microdisks using nanoscale spatially resolved cathodoluminescence(CL)mapping.We have found a clear growth orientation-dependent optical behavior of the lateral and vertical growth sectors of self-assembled GaN microcrystals.The lateral growth sector,i.e.,the{101¯1}-growth sector,forms six side facets of the microdisk and shows significant near-bandgap emission(NBE)and weak deep energy level luminescence.Cavity effect enhanced emission was found for the first time in such a truncated hexagonal Na-flux GaN microdisk system with an ultra-smooth surface(Ra<0.7 nm)and low stress.The self-assembled microdisk shows significant ultraviolet(UV)lasing action(main lasing peak wavelength 370.9 nm,quality factor 1278,threshold 6×10^(4)μJ/cm^(2))under pulsed optical pumping.We believe that the appearance of UV lasing action may be related to the light limitation on the six side facets of the lateral growth of the GaN microdisk,the high structural quality,the low content of deep energy level defects,the low surface roughness,and the low stress.Zhiwei Si Zongliang Liu Xiaoxuan Wang Chunxiang Xu Wei Lin Xiaoxuan Luo Feng Li Xiaoming Dong Shunan Zheng Xiaodong Gao Jianfeng Wang Ke Xu 2023Nano Research2023,16,8:0

18Functional groups and seasonal diversity of crustacean zooplankton in adjacent waters of Haizhou Bay,South Yellow Sea显示文摘Zooplankton are important linkages in the food web and can respond nonlinearly to environmental changes.Marine organisms thrive from spring to summer.Thus,it is crucial to understand how ecological functions of zooplankton communities may shift under seasonal environmental changes during this period.Samples were collected from May to August(May,June-Ⅰ,June-Ⅱ,July-Ⅰ,July-Ⅱ,and August)in 2018 in Haizhou Bay,Jiangsu,East China for zooplankton and environmental variables.Crustaceans accounted for 75 out of 134 zooplankton taxa and 91.8%of total zooplankton abundance.The average abundance of crustacean varied between 2824.6±635.4 inds./m3 in July-Ⅱand 6502.7±1008.8 inds./m3 in June-Ⅱ.Multivariate analyses results showed that the dissimilarity of community increased gradually in the time series.Body length,feeding type,trophic group,and reproduction mode were used to investigate crustacean community functions.Trait-based functional groups contained species with similar ecological roles.Functional diversity fused the differences of species and trait.The proportion of large-sized species(2-5 mm)decreased with the increasing proportion of medium-sized species(1-2 mm).The proportion of current feeders increased with the drop in the proportion of mixed feeders.Parthenogenesis species increased with decreasing free spawners,and omnivores-carnivores increased with decreasing omnivoresherbivores.Generalized additive models suggested that temperature was the main driver of variations in crustacean zooplankton function.Seven identified functional groups varied with increasing temperature.Omnivorous-herbivorous copepods declined(90.0%-68.0%),whereas the parthenogenetic cladocerans increased(0-24.1%).The small egg-brooding ambush copepods fluctuated(6.5%-9.3%)with increasing water temperature.The other functional groups changed slightly.Functional diversity also varied according to temperature changes.The community structure and ecological function of crustacean zooplankton community showed gradual changes with increasing temperature from spring to summer.Zeqi ZHENG Shunan FU Yixuan LI Ruping GE Hongju CHEN Zhenjiang YE Yunyun ZHUANG Guangxing LIU 2023Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,3:0
19Adaptive ultra-hypofractionated whole-pelvic radiotherapy in high-risk and very high-risk prostate cancer on 1.5-Tesla MR-Linac:Estimated delivered dose and early toxicity results显示文摘Background: Magnetic resonance(MR)-guided ultra-hypofractionated radiotherapy with whole-pelvic irradiation(UHF-WPRT)is a novel approach to radiotherapy for patients with high-risk(HR)and very high-risk(VHR)prostate cancer(PCa).However,the inherent complexity of adaptive UHF-WPRT might inevitably result in longer on-couch time.We aimed to estimate the delivered dose,study the feasibility and safety of adaptive UHF-WPRT on a 1.5-Tesla MR-Linac.Methods: Ten patients with clinical stage T3a-4N0-1M0-1c PCa,who consecutively received UHF-WPRT,were enrolled prospectively.The contours of the target and organ-at-risks on the position verification-MR(PV-MR),beam-on 3D-MR(Bn-MR),and post-MR(after radiotherapy delivery)were derived from the pre-MR data by deformable image registration.The physician then manually adjusted them,and dose recalculation was performed accordingly.GraphPad Prism 9(GraphPad Prism Software Inc.)was utilized for conducting statistical analyses.Results: In total,we collected 188 MR scans(50 pre-MR,50 PV-MR,44 Bn-MR,and 44 post-MR scans).With median 59 min,the mean prostate clinical target volume(CTV)-V_(100%)was 98.59%±2.74%,and the mean pelvic CTVp-V_(100%)relative percentages of all scans was 99.60%±1.18%.The median V29 Gy change in the rectal wall was−2%(−18%to 20%).With a median follow-up of 9 months,no patient had acute Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events(CTCAE)grade 2 or more severe genitourinary(GU)or gastrointestinal(GI)toxicities(0%).Conclusion: UHF-RT to the prostate and the whole pelvis with concomitant boost to positive nodes using an Adapt-To-Shape(ATS)workflow was technically feasible for patients with HR and VHR PCa,presenting only mild GU and GI toxicities.The estimated target dose during the beam-on phase was clinically acceptable based on the 3D-MR-based dosimetry analysis.Clinical trial registration Chinese Clinical Trial Registry ChiCTR2000033382.Linrui Gao Ran Wei Shirui Qin Yuan Tian Wenlong Xia Yongwen Song Shulian Wang Hui Fang Yu Tang Hao Jing Yueping Liu Yuan Tang Shunan Qi Bo Chen Yexiong Li Nianzeng Xing Ningning Lu 2024Chronic Diseases and Translational Medicine2024,10,1:0
