1Research progress on silicon/carbon composite anode materials for lithium-ion battery显示文摘Silicon(Si) has been considered as one of the most promising anode material for the next generation lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) with high energy densities, due to its high theoretical capacity, abundant availability and environmental friendliness. However, silicon materials with low intrinsic electric and ionic conductivity suffer from huge volume variation during lithiation/delithiation processes leading to the pulverization of Si and subsequently resulting in severe capacity fading of the electrodes. Coupling of Si with carbon(C) realizes a favorable combination of the two materials properties, such as high lithiation capacity of Si and excellent mechanical and conductive properties of C, making silicon/carbon composite(Si/C) ideal candidates for LIBs anodes. In this review, recent progresses of Si/C materials utilized in LIBs are summarized in terms of structural design principles, material synthesis methods, morphological characteristics and electrochemical performances by highlighting the material structures. The mechanisms behind the performance enhancement are also discussed. Moreover, other factors that affect the performance of Si/C anodes, such as prelithiation, electrolyte additives, and binders, are also discussed. 2Effect of neutrophil CD64 for diagnosing sepsis in emergency department显示文摘BACKGROUND:The aim of this study is to investigate the diagnostic and prognostic value of neutrophil CD64(nCD64)as a novel biomarker in sepsis patients.METHODS:One hundred fifty-one adult patients diagnosed with sepsis and 20 age-matched healthy controls were enrolled in the study.Patients with sepsis were further subdivided into a sepsis group and a septic shock group.nCD64 expression,serum procalcitonin(PCT)level,C-reactive protein(CRP)level,and white blood cell(WBC)count were obtained for each patient,and Sequential Organ Failure Assessment(SOFA)scores were calculated.RESULTS:nCD64 expression was higher in the sepsis group with confirmed infection than in the control group.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve of nCD64 was higher than those of SOFA score,PCT,CRP and WBC for diagnosing infection.The area under the curve(AUC)of nCD64 combined with SOFA score was the highest for all parameters.The AUC of nCD64 for predicting 28-day mortality in sepsis was signifi cantly higher than those of PCT,CRP,and WBC,but slightly lower than that of SOFA score.The AUC of nCD64 or PCT combined with SOFA score was signifi cantly higher than that of any single parameter for predicting 28-day mortality.CONCLUSION:nCD64 expression and SOFA score are valuable parameters for early diagnosis of infection and prognostic evaluation of sepsis patients.Wen-peng Yin Jia-bao Li Xiao-fang Zheng Le An Huan Shao Chun-sheng Li 2020World Journal of Emergency Medicine2020,11,2:23
3The recommendations of Chinese Parkinson’s disease and movement disorder society consensus on therapeutic management of Parkinson’s disease显示文摘Background:Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a chronic,progressive and debilitating disease,which affects over 2.5 million people in China.PD is characterized clinically by resting tremor,muscular rigidity,bradykinesia and postural instability.As the disease progresses,additional complications can arise such as non-motor and neurobehavioral symptoms.Pharmacological treatment and surgical intervention for PD have been implemented in China.Until 10 years ago,there was lack of standardization for the management of PD in different regions and among different physicians,leading to different treatment levels in different regions and different physicians.Since then,the Chinese Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Society have published three versions of guidelines for the management of PD in China,in 2006,2009 and 2014,respectively.Correspondingly,the overall level of treatment for PD in China improved.Objectives:To update the treatment guidelines based on current foreign and domestic practice guidelines and clinical evidence,and to improve the treatment options available to physicians in the management of PD.Summary:A variety of treatment recommendations in the treatment guidelines have been proposed,including physical activity and disease-modifying medication,which should be initiated at the early-stage of the disease.The principles of dosage titration should be followed to avoid acute adverse reactions to the drugs,to achieve a satisfactory clinical effect with a low dose and to reduce the incidence of long-term motor complications.Moreover,different treatment strategies should be considered at different stages of the disease.Importantly,treatment guidelines and personalized treatments should be valued equally.A set of treatment recommendations has been developed to assist physicians to improve and optimize clinical outcomes for patients with PD in China.Shengdi Chen Piu Chan Shenggang Sun Haibo Chen Baorong Zhang Weidong Le Chunfeng Liu Guoguang Peng Beisha Tang Lijuan Wang Yan Cheng Ming Shao Zhenguo Liu Zhenfu Wang Xiaochun Chen Mingwei Wang Xinhua Wan Huifang Shang Yiming Liu Pingyi Xu Jian Wang Tao Feng Xianwen Chen Xingyue Hu Anmu Xie Qin Xiao 2016Translational Neurodegeneration2016,5,1:23

5Modified k-ω model using kinematic vorticity for corner separation in compressor cascades显示文摘A new method of modifying the conventional k-ω turbulence model for corner separation is proposed in this paper. The production term in the ω equation is modified using kinematic vorticity considering fluid rotation and deformation in complex geometric boundary conditions. The corner separation flow in linear compressor cascades is calculated using the original k-ω model, the modified k-ω model and the Reynolds stress model(RSM). The numerical results of the modified model are compared with the available experimental data, as well as the corresponding results of the original k-ω model and RSM. In terms of accuracy, the modified model, which significantly improves the performance of the original k-ω model for predicting corner separation, is quite competitive with the RSM. 7A Mini Review on Nanocarbon-Based 1D Macroscopic Fibers:Assembly Strategies and Mechanical Properties显示文摘Nanocarbon-based materials, such as carbon nanotubes(CNTs) and graphene have been attached much attention by scientific and industrial community. As two representative nanocarbon materials, one-dimensional CNTs and twodimensional graphene both possess remarkable mechanical properties. In the past years, a large amount of work have been done by using CNTs or graphene as building blocks for constructing novel, macroscopic, mechanically strong fibrous materials. In this review, we summarize the assembly approaches of CNT-based fibers and graphene-based fibers in chronological order, respectively. The mechanical performances of these fibrous materials are compared, and the critical influences on the mechanical properties are discussed. 9Moxibustion upregulates hippocampal progranulin expression显示文摘In China,moxibustion is reported to be useful and has few side effects for chronic fatigue syndrome,but its mechanisms are largely unknown.More recently,the focus has been on the wealth of information supporting stress as a factor in chronic fatigue syndrome,and largely concerns dysregulation in the stress-related hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis.In the present study,we aimed to determine the effect of moxibustion on behavioral symptoms in chronic fatigue syndrome rats and examine possible mechanisms.Rats were subjected to a combination of chronic restraint stress and forced swimming to induce chronic fatigue syndrome.The acupoints Guanyuan(CV4) and Zusanli(ST36,bilateral) were simultaneously administered moxibustion.Untreated chronic fatigue syndrome rats and normal rats were used as controls.Results from the forced swimming test,open field test,tail suspension test,real-time PCR,enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,and western blot assay showed that moxibustion treatment decreased m RNA expression of corticotropin-releasing hormone in the hypothalamus,and adrenocorticotropic hormone and corticosterone levels in plasma,and markedly increased progranulin m RNA and protein expression in the hippocampus.These findings suggest that moxibustion may relieve the behavioral symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome,at least in part,by modulating the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and upregulating hippocampal progranulin.Tao Yi Li Qi Ji Li Jing-jing Le Lei Shao Xin Du Jing-cheng Dong 2016Neural Regeneration Research2016,11,4:6
10Synthesis and characterization of tungsten and barium co-doped La2Mo2O9 by sol-gel process for solid oxide fuel cells显示文摘Herein,we demonstrate the synthesis of W and Ba co-doped La2Mo2O9(LBMWO)nanocrystalline powder by a sol-gel process.In all the compositions have general formulae La1.9Ba0.1Mo2-xWxO8.95(x=0-0.40).The crystal structure,microstructure and conductivity of LBMWO were characterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and electrical impedance spectroscopy.In addition,the thermal and decomposition properties of the LBMWO gel were analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry-thermogravimetric.The results reveal that all LBMWO powders calcined at 700℃have a cubic structure;the average crystallite size is about 48 nm.The unit cell parameter of LBMWO powders increases with increase in W content.The as-synthesized nanocrystalline LBMWO samples exhibit excellent sinterability and a relatively lower sintering temperature of 900℃.A high relative density of-96%is achieved after sintering at 900℃which is in good agreeme nt with the re sults of the SEM.Moreover,W and Ba codoping suppresses the phase transition and effectively stabilizes theβ-phase at low temperature.At the same time,La1.9Ba0.1Mo1.85W0.15O8.95 exhibits high ionic conductivity,3.07 x 10^-2 S/cm at 800℃.It is therefore concluded that co-doping can improve the properties of La2MO2O9 electrolytes.Chang′an Tian Lingbo Shao Dongdong Ji Jie Yang Jinsong Xie Qiyi Yin Huirong Le 2019Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,9:5
11A comparative study of the characteristics of two Coxsackie A virus type 16 strains (genotype B)显示文摘Coxsackie A virus is one of the major pathogens associated with hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD). The etiological characteristics of Coxsackie A virus type 16 (CA16) are thought to correlate with the pathological process of its infection. Two CA16 strains that were isolated from a severe HFMD patient presented with different plaque forms. This observation, along with biological analysis, indicated that the differences in the strains' biological characteristics, such as proliferation kinetics and immunogenicity, correlate with differences in their pathogenicity toward neonatal mice. Furthermore, these differences are thought to be associated with the sequence of the 5′ non-coding region of the viral genome and the VP1 structural region sequence. 17Synthesis and characterization of Fe_3O_4@SiO_2 magnetic composite nanoparticles by a one-pot process显示文摘Fe_3O_4@SiO_2 core–shell composite nanoparticles were successfully prepared by a one-pot process. Tetraethyl-orthosilicate was used as a surfactant to synthesize Fe_3O_4@SiO_2 core–shell structures from prepared Fe_3O_4 nanoparticles. The properties of the Fe_3O_4 and Fe_3O_4@SiO_2 composite nanoparticles were studied by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The prepared Fe_3O_4 particles were approximately 12 nm in size, and the thickness of the SiO_2 coating was approximately 4 nm. The magnetic properties were studied by vibrating sample magnetometry. The results show that the maximum saturation magnetization of the Fe_3O_4@SiO_2 powder(34.85 A·m2·kg–1) was markedly lower than that of the Fe_3O_4 powder(79.55 A·m2·kg–1), which demonstrates that Fe_3O_4 was successfully wrapped by SiO_2. 18Mitochondrial Oxidative Stress Enhances Vasoconstriction by Altering Calcium Homeostasis in Cerebrovascular Smooth Muscle Cells under Simulated Microgravity显示文摘Objective Exposure to microgravity results in postflight cardiovascular deconditioning in astronauts.Vascular oxidative stress injury and mitochondrial dysfunction have been reported during this process.To elucidate the mechanism for this condition,we investigated whether mitochondrial oxidative stress regulates calcium homeostasis and vasoconstriction in hindlimb unweighted(HU)rat cerebral arteries.Methods Three-week HU was used to simulate microgravity in rats.The contractile responses to vasoconstrictors,mitochondrial fission/fusion,Ca^(2+) distribution,inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor(IP3 R)abundance,and the activities of voltage-gated K+channels(KV)and Ca^(2+)-activated K+channels(BKCa)were examined in rat cerebral vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs).Results An increase of cytoplasmic Ca^(2+) and a decrease of mitochondrial/sarcoplasmic reticulum(SR)Ca^(2+) were observed in HU rat cerebral VSMCs.The abundance of fusion proteins(mitofusin 1/2[MFN1/2])and fission proteins(dynamin-related protein 1[DRP1]and fission-mitochondrial 1[FIS1])was significantly downregulated and upregulated,respectively in HU rat cerebral VSMCs.The cerebrovascular contractile responses to vasoconstrictors were enhanced in HU rats compared to control rats,and IP3 R protein/mRNA levels were significantly upregulated.The current densities and open probabilities of KV and BKCa decreased and increased,respectively.Treatment with the mitochondrial-targeted antioxidant mitoTEMPO attenuated mitochondrial fission by upregulating MFN1/2 and downregulating DRP1/FIS1.It also decreased IP3 R expression levels and restored the activities of the KV and BKCa channels.MitoTEMPO restored the Ca^(2+) distribution in VSMCs and attenuated the enhanced vasoconstriction in HU rat cerebral arteries.Conclusion The present results suggest that mitochondrial oxidative stress enhances cerebral vasoconstriction by regulating calcium homeostasis during simulated microgravity.LIU Zi Fan WANG Hai Ming JIANG Min WANG Lin LIN Le Jian ZHAO Yun Zhang SHAO Jun Jie ZHOU Jing Jing XIE Man Jiang LI Xin ZHANG Ran 2021Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2021,34,3:3
19One-step growth of large-area silicon nanowire fabrics for high-performance multifunctional wearable sensors显示文摘Silicon nanowire(SiNW)fabrics are of great interest for fabricating high-performance multifunctional wearable sensors.However,it remains a big challenge to fabricate high-quality SiNW fabrics in a simple and efficient manner.Here we report,for the first time,one-step growth of large-area SiNW fabrics for multifunctional wearable sensors,by using a massive metal-assisted chemical vapor deposition(CVD)method.With bulk Sn as a catalyst source,numerous millimeter-long SiNWs grow and naturally interweave with each other,forming SiNw fabrics over 80 cm2 in one experiment.In addition to intrinsic electronic properties of Si materials,the SiNw fabrics also feature high flxibility,good tailorability and light weight,rendering them ideal for fabricating multifunctional wearable sensors.The prototype sensors based on the SiNW fabrics could efectively detect various stimuli including temperature,light,strain and pressure,with outstanding performance among reported multifunctional sensors.We further demonstrate the integration of the prototype sensors onto the body of a robot,enabling its perception to various environmental stimuli.The ability to prepare high-quality SiNW fabrics in a simple and eficient manner will stimulate the development of wearable devices for applications in portable electronics,Internet of Things,health care and robotics.Bing-Chang Zhang Jian-Sheng Jie Zhi-Bin Shao Si-Yi Huang Le He Xiao-Hong Zhang 2019Nano Research2019,12,11:2
