| 1 | Impacts of climate-induced permafrost degradation on vegetation:A review显示文摘Under a warming climate,degrading permafrost profoundly and extensively affects arctic and alpine ecology.However,most existing relevant studies are more focused on the hydrothermal impacts of vegetation on the underlying permafrost,or symbiosis between vegetation and permafrost,only very few on ecological impacts of permafrost degradation.Additionally,there are much more pertinent investigations in arctic and boreal regions than those in alpine and high-plateau regions at mid-and low latitudes.This study emphasizes on the impact mechanisms of permafrost degradation on vegetation both at high and mid-to low latitudes,addressing vegetation succession trajectories and associated changes in soil hydrology and soil nutrient above degrading permafrost.Permafrost degradation influences vegetation by altering soil hydrology,soil biogeochemical processes and microbial communities,which further improve soil nutrient availability.Furthermore,under a warming climate,vegetation may take two successional trajectories,towards a wetter or drier ecosystem within a certain time period,but to a drier ecosystem in the end upon the thaw of permafrost in case of permeable soils and good drainage.Thus,with rapidly developing remote-sensing and other space-and ground-based and air-borne observational networks and numerical predictive models,the impacting mechanisms of permafrost degradation on vegetation should be timely and better monitored,evaluated and modeled at desired spatiotemporal scales and resolutions by terrestrial or integrated ecosystem models. | JIN Xiao-Ying JIN Hui-Juna Go IWAHANA Sergey SMARCHENKO LUO Dong-Liang LI Xiao-Ying LIANG Si-Hai | 2021 | Advances in Climate Change Research2021,12,1: | 10 |

| 4 | Microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of binary Mg-xBi(x=2,5,and 8 wt%)alloys显示文摘The microstructures and mechanical properties of Mg-x Bi(x=2,5,and 8 wt%)were investigated compared with pure Mg.The ascast Mg-Bi billets consist of dendriticα-Mg grain matrix,divorced eutectic Mg_(3)Bi_(2) phase and secondary precipitated Mg_(3)Bi_(2) phase.After homogenization,secondary precipitated Mg_(3)Bi_(2) particles were all dissolved into the matrix,while most of the divorced eutectic Mg_(3)Bi_(2) intermetallic compounds retained.All the as-extruded samples exhibit fully dynamic recrystallization(DRX)and the average grain size decreases and the amount of nano-scale Mg_(3)Bi_(2) precipitates increases with increasing Bi content.Additionally,Bi alloying has little influence on the texture of the as-extruded pure Mg,with all the samples showing typical basal texture.As the results of grain refinement and precipitation hardening,the strengths of the as-extruded samples increase under both tensile and compressive tests.Besides,the yield asymmetry significantly decreases with Bi content.Moreover,all the as-extruded samples represent similar ductility under compression,while the tensile elongation first increases and then decreases with more Bi added.The as-extruded Mg-5Bi alloy demonstrates good combination of strength and ductility.However,Mg-8Bi alloy displays lower tensile ductility than that of Mg-5Bi alloy due to the presence of abundant undissolved coarse Mg_(3)Bi_(2) particles,which act as cracking sources during tensile test.Furthermore,the strain hardening rate,strain hardening exponent n,and hardening capacity Hc are greatly reduced by Bi addition,mainly owing to the enhanced synergy effects of grain refinement and numerous Mg_(3)Bi_(2) precipitates. | Hui Yu Shaoda Fan Shuaiju Meng Jae Ok Choi Zhongjie Li Yohan Go Young Min Kim Weimin Zhao Bong Sun You Kwang Seon Shin | 2021 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2021,9,3: | 1 |

| 10 | A novel CD81 homolog identified in lamprey, Lampetra japonica,with roles in the immune response of lamprey VLRB^+lymphocytes显示文摘The cluster of differentiation 81 (CD81),a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily,is primarily found to be expressed in a wide variety of cells including T and B cells of vertebrates as a critical modulator.In the present study,the open reading frame of a CD81 gene homolog (Lja-CD81) was cloned in lamprey,Lampetra japonica,which is 702 bp long and encodes a protein of 233- amino acids.Although Lja-CD81 seems to be close to CD9 molecules in their full-length sequences,Lja-CD81 possesses higher identity to vertebrates CD81 than to CD9 (including a lamprey CD9)molecules in their large extracellular loops.In addition,it also possesses a myristoylation site (Met-Gly-Val-Glu-Gly-Cys-Leu-Lys)in its N-terminal region which is identical to the N-terminal regions of CD81 molecules.These data suggest that CD9 and CD81 molecules diverged no later than the emergence of jawless vertebrates.The mRNA levels of Lja-CD81 in lymphocytes and supraneural myeloid bodies were up-regulated significantly after stimulation with mixed antigens,and a similar expressional pattern of Lja-CD81 at protein level was also confirmed.
