| 2 | Histone Deacetylase HDA9 and WRKY53 Transcription Factor Are Mutual Antagonists in Regulation of Plant Stress Response显示文摘Epigenetic regulation of gene expression is important for plant adaptation to environm ental changes.Previous results showed that Arabidopsis RPD3-like histone deacetylase HDA9 is known to function in repressing plant response to stress in Arabidopsis.However,how HDA9 targets to specific chromatin loci and controls gene expression netw orks involved in plant response to stress remains largely unclear.Here,we show that HDA9 represses stress tolerance response by interacting with and regulating the DNA binding and transcriptional activity of WRKY53,which functions as a high-hierarchy positive regulator of stress response.We found that WRKY53 is post-translationally modified by lysine acetylation at multiple sites,some of which are removed by HDA9,resulting in inhibition of WRKY53 transcription activity.Conversely,WRKY53 negatively regulates HDA9 histone deacetylase activity.Collectively,our results indicate that HDA9 and WRK53 are reciprocal negative regulators of each other's activities,illustrating how the functional interplay between a chromatin regulator and a transcription factor regulates stress tolerance in plants. | Yu Zheng Jingyu Ge Chun Bao Wenwen Chang Jingjing Liu Jingjie Shao Xiaoyun Liu Lufang Su Lei Pan Dao-Xiu Zhou | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,4: | 6 |
| 3 | Machinability of damage-tolerant titanium alloy in orthogonal turn-milling显示文摘The damage-tolerant titanium alloy TC21 is used extensively in important parts of advanced aircraft because of its high strength and durability. However, cutting TC21 entails problems, such as high cutting temperature, high tool tip stress, rapid tool wear, and difficulty guaranteeing processing quality. Orthogonal turn-milling can be used to solve these problems. In this study, the machinability of TC21 in orthogonal turn-milling is investigated experimentally to optimize the cutting parameters of orthogonal turn-milling and improve the machining efficiency, tool life, and machining quality of TC21. The mechanism of the effect of turn-milling parameters on tool life is discussed, the relationship between each parameter and tool life is analyzed, and the failure process of a TiAlN-coated tool in turn-milling is explored. Experiments are conducted on the integrity of the machined surface (surface roughness, metallographic structure, and work hardening) by turn-milling, and how the parameters influence such integrity is analyzed. Then, reasonable cutting parameters for TC21 in orthogonal turn-milling are recommended. | 15 | Salvage treatments for prostate-specific antigen relapse of cT3N0M0 prostatic adenocarcinoma after radical prostatectomy combined with neoadjuvant androgen deprivation显示文摘Objective The aim of the study was to evaluate the efficiency of salvage treatments for prostate specific antigen(PSA)relapse of cT3N0M0 prostatic adenocarcinoma(PCa)after radical prostatectomy(RP)combined with neoadjuvant androgen deprivation(ADT).Methods A total of 332 patients with cT3N0M0 PCa were enrolled in the prospective study and received RP and pelvic lymph node dissection with neoadjuvant ADT for 3 months.All patients with PSA relapse were treated with salvage external beam radiation therapy(RT)and ADT for 6 months.Results The 5-year postoperative PSA relapse rate was 40.96%(136/332).The patients have been divided into the PSA relapse and PSA relapse-free groups in order to compare patient characteristics.The ratio of patients with Gleason score≥8 and positive surgical margin in the PSA relapse group were significantly higher than those of in the PSA relapse-free group(P=0.01).The mean duration between the start of operative treatment and PSA relapse was 31 months.Salvage treatment to all 136 PSA relapse patients led to favorable outcomes.PSA relapse was not observed after salvage treatment by the end of follow-up.The 5-year overall survival rates of the PSA relapse and PSA relapse-free groups were 94.9%and 93.9%,respectively.Conclusion In pursuit of curative treatment,our study showed that RP combined with neoadjuvant ADT is an aggressive multimodality strategy associated with lower PSA relapse and better survival outcomes for stage cT3N0M0 PCa patients.Patients with PSA relapse after RP may benefit from early aggressive salvage RT combined with short-term ADT. | Lufang Zhang Dongliang Pan Ludong Liu Yunjiang Zang Ningchen Li | 2020 | Oncology and Translational Medicine2020,6,6: | 0 |

| 18 | Research on the influence of outdoor trees on natural ventilation performance of an academic building显示文摘Planting trees around buildings has always been used as one of the most common viable landscaping strategies in schools.However,the impact of trees on natural ventilation inside the building has been neglected without investigation.The emphasis of this study related to the impact of outdoor trees around the academic building on indoor ventilation.Numerical simulations of the indoor wind environment of the academic building affected by trees were performed utilizing the k-εmodel with additional source terms.The numerical model was also validated by measured data.Two kinds of trees were selected,they are camphor and metasequoia.Camphor is a kind of broad-leaved tree and metasequoia is a kind of coniferous tree.26 simulation cases with six different tree canopy spacings were conducted.These results showed that the outdoor trees had great influences on the natural ventilation performance of the academic building.Compared with the case without the trees,the highest decrement in ventilation flow rate could be up to 31.97%in this study.For the cases of classrooms with horizontal distribution,the ages of air of the classrooms became fresher with the increase of the canopy spacing.While for the cases of classrooms with vertical distribution,the canopy spacing had fewer effects on the natural ventilation performances.It was also found that the blocking effects of camphor on indoor ventilation were higher than that of metasequoia.The average ventilation flow rate in cases with metasequoia was increased by 14.89%compared to the cases with camphor.This study could provide guidance for the layout design of trees around the building. | Shengnan Niu Xiaodong Liu Annan Wang Lufang Chen Xin Zhou Xing Shi Liu Yang Xing Jin | 2023 | Building Simulation2023,16,6: | 0 |
| 19 | Post-stroke seizures in consecutive elderly stroke patients显示文摘This prospective study sought to investigate the clinical,radiological and electroencephalographic(EEG) characteristics of seizures in elderly stroke patients,and their outcomes.Over a 2-year study period,158 consecutive elderly patients with stroke were examined and followed up.Of these patients,32(20%) developed seizures,primarily related to stroke,within a follow up period between 5 months and 2 years.Of these 32 cases,20 experienced infarctions,and 12 experienced hemorrhages.Involvement of cortical regions was detected in most of the patients exhibiting seizures.In these patients,44% of the lesions involved cortical areas exclusively or in addition to subcortical areas observed on computed tomography(CT) images.Twenty-five patients(78%) developed early seizures(within 2 weeks after stroke),and half exhibited immediate post-stroke seizures.None of the patients exhibiting early onset seizures developed recurrent seizures or epilepsy,while 57% of late onset seizures(four cases) developed epilepsy.No specific EEG patterns were apparent in those who later developed epilepsy.Overall,early onset seizures after stroke were found to be relatively common,and did not affect outcome.Late onset seizures were less common,but were associated with chronic epilepsy. | Yue Chen Lufang Chen Yiqing Tao Maomao Han Chunlan Cui Shichao Liu | 2011 | Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,9: | 0 |
| 20 | Pollutant exposure and health outcomes:protocol for a comprehensive umbrella review of meta-analyses and evidence mapping显示文摘Background:Many systematic reviews and meta-analyses(MAs)regarding the association between pollutant(e.g.,air pollution,noise pollution,and heavy metal pollution)exposure and health outcomes have been published recently,but there is still a lack of comprehensive research based on these MAs,and the evidence quality of these MAs are unknown.Therefore,we designed an umbrella review to address these gaps in knowledge.Methods:MAs that evaluated the association between pollutant exposure and health outcomes will be systematically searched through the PubMed and Embase databases in May 2021.Pairs of reviewers will conduct the study screening and data extraction independently,and cross-check the results.PRISMA and AMSTAR 2 will be used to evaluate the reporting and methodological quality of MAs included,respectively,and an evidence mapping method will be used to present the results.The corrected cover area(CCA)method will be used to assess the degree of overlap for included primary studies among MAs.The outcomes will be reanalyzed based on the random-effects model using the appropriate effect size,and the corresponding 95%confidence intervals will be reported.Meanwhile,sensitivity analysis and subgroup analysis will be used to explore heterogeneity.The GRADE method will be used to evaluate the evidence quality of outcome indicators.Stata 16.0 and Excel 2019 will be used for data analysis,and P<0.05 will be considered to indicate statistical significance.Results:The results of this umbrella review will be submitted to a peer-reviewed English journal for publication.Conclusion:We designed the first umbrella review to summarize evidence from MAs on the association between common pollutant exposure and health conditions.The results of this study will provide evidence for health policy makers to formulate appropriate health policies and researchers to conduct new studies. | Jing Qi Lufang Feng Jiemei Hu Haitong Zhao Jieyun Li Lixin Ke Xue Shang Kehu Yang Cuncun Lu | 2021 | Asian Toxicology Tesearch2021,3,3: | 0 |
