| 4 | Efficacy and safety of the long-acting fusion inhibitor albuvirtide in antiretroviral-experienced adults with human immunodeficiency virus-1:interim analysis of the randomized,controlled,phase 3,non-inferiority TALENT study显示文摘Background:Albuvirtide is a once-weekly injectable human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)-1 fusion inhibitor.We present interim data for a phase 3 trial assessing the safety and efficacy of albuvirtide plus lopinavir-ritonavir in HIV-1-infected adults already treated with antiretroviral drugs.Methods:We carried out a 48-week,randomized,controlled,open-label non-inferiority trial at 12 sites in China.Adults on the World Health Organization(WHO)-recommended first-line treatment for>6 months with a plasma viral load>1000 copies/mL were enrolled and randomly assigned(1:1)to receive albuvirtide(once weekly)plus ritonavir-boosted lopinavir(ABT group)or the WHO-recommended second-line treatment(NRTI group).The primary endpoint was the proportion of patients with a plasma viral load below 50 copies/mL at 48 weeks.Non-inferiority was prespecified with a margin of 12%.Results:At the time of analysis,week 24 data were available for 83 and 92 patients,and week 48 data were available for 46 and 50 patients in the albuvirtide and NRTI groups,respectively.At 48 weeks,80.4%of patients in the ABT group and 66.0%of those in the NRTI group had HIV-1 RNA levels below 50 copies/mL,meeting the criteria for non-inferiority.For the per-protocol population,the superiority of albuvirtide over NRTI was demonstrated.The frequency of grade 3 to 4 adverse events was similar in the two groups;the most common adverse events were diarrhea,upper respiratory tract infections,and grade 3 to 4 increases in triglyceride concentration.Renal function was significantly more impaired at 12 weeks in the patients of the NRTI group who received tenofovir disoproxil fumarate than in those of the ABT group.Conclusions:The TALENT study is the first phase 3 trial of an injectable long-acting HIV drug.This interim analysis indicates that once-weekly albuvirtide in combination with ritonavir-boosted lopinavir is well tolerated and non-inferior to the WHO-recommended second-line regimen in patients with first-line treatment failure.Trial registration:ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier:NCT02369965;http://gffzz90ed6ce9d87f4798s060xq5ncc9b96qoo.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn Clinical Trial Registry No.ChiCTR-TRC-14004276;http://gffzz62a03ee25e6f4a77h060xq5ncc9b96qoo.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/enindex.aspx. | Bin Su Cheng Yao Qing-Xia Zhao Wei-Ping Cai Min Wang Hong-Zhou Lu Yuan-Yuan Chen Li Liu Hui Wang Yun He Yu-Huang Zheng Ling-Hua Li Jin-Feng Chen Jian-Hua Yu Biao Zhu Min Zhao Yong-Tao Sun Wen-Hui Lun Wei Xia Li-Jun Sun Li-Li Dai Tai-Yi Jiang Mei-Xia Wang Qing-Shan Zheng Hai-Yan Peng Yao Wang Rong-Jian Lu Jian-Hua Hu Hui Xing Yi-Ming Shao Dong Xie Tong Zhang Fu-Jie Zhang Hao Wu TALENT Study Team | 2020 | Chinese Medical Journal2020,,24: | 10 |
| 5 | Experimental Determination of Significant Waveheight by OSMAR071: Comparison with Results from Buoy显示文摘OSMAR071 is the latest product of the OSMAR (ocean state monitor and analysis radar) series of high frequency surface wave radar (HFSWR), which was developed by the Radiowave Propagation Laboratory of Wuhan University. It adopts a modified Barrick waveheight inversion model. The modifications are introduced to improve the model's performances under the effect of noises and interferences and in the case of broad beam radar detection. The two unknown coefficients in the modified model are figured out by fitting the HFSWR significant waveheight results to those output from a wave buoy located in the radiating coverage of the radar site. The model is applied to inverse the waveheights from radar data for the duration from Dec. 1st, 2008 to Feb. 25th, 2009, and then the radar waveheights are compared with the buoy measurements. Results show that the rms difference between radar-derived significant waveheights and those from the buoy is 0.38 m and the correlation coefficient between the two series is 0.66. | 6 | WIP1 Phosphatase Plays a Critical Neuroprotective Role in Brain Injury Induced by High-Altitude Hypoxic Inflammation显示文摘The hypobaric hypoxic environment in highaltitude areas often aggravates the severity of inflammation and induces brain injury as a consequence. However, the critical genes regulating this process remain largely unknown. The phosphatase wild-type p53-induced phosphatase 1(WIP1) plays important roles in various physiological and pathological processes, including the regulation of inflammation in normoxia, but its functions in hypoxic inflammation-induced brain injury remain unclear.Here, we established a mouse model of this type of injury and found that WIP1 deficiency augmented the release of inflammatory cytokines in the peripheral circulation and brain tissue, increased the numbers of activated microglia/macrophages in the brain, aggravated cerebral histological lesions, and exacerbated the impairment of motor and cognitive abilities. | 7 | Paleomagnetic data from the Late Carboniferous-Late Permian rocks in eastern Tibet and their implications for tectonic evolution of the northern Qiangtang-Qamdo block显示文摘We report paleomagnetic results from the Late Carboniferous-Late Permian strata in eastern Tibet (China), and aim to clarify the tectonic and paleogeographic evolution of the northern Qiangtang-Qamdo block, which is the key to the study of plate boundary between the Gondwanaland and the Eurasia during the late Paleozoic. Two hundred and nineteen samples-including limestone, muddy siltstone, basalt, lava, and tuff-were collected at 24 sites in the Upper Carboniferous and Middle-Upper Permian successions. A systematic study of rock magnetism and paleomagnetism yields three reliable paleomagnetic pole positions. Both hematite and magnetite occurred in the Late Carboniferous limestone samples. The demagnetization curve shows a characteristic double-component, with the remanent magnetization (ChRM) exhibiting a positive polarity (negative inclination). In the Late Permian limestone, tuff, and basalt, magnetic information were recorded primarily in magnetite, although a small fraction of them was found in hematite in basalt. The demagnetization curve illustrates a double or single component, with the ChRM showing a negative polarity (positive inclination), which has passed the classic fold test successfully. The single polarity features of the ChRM directions of the Late Carboniferous and Middle-Late Permian rocks are respectively related to the Kiaman positive and reversed polarities under the stratigraphic coordinates. This, in turn, indicates that both ChRMs directions represent the original remanence directions. By comparison with the previously published paleomagnetic results from the late Paleozoic rocks in the northern Qiangtang Range, we suggest that: (1) Qamdo and northern Qiangtang block were independent of each other during the Late Carboniferous to the Early Permian periods. The north Lancangjiang ocean basin between the two blocks may have closed before the Middle Permian and been involved in the continent-continent collision stage in the Late Permian-Early Triassic periods. | 8 | Effects of raster resolution on landslide susceptibility mapping:A case study of Shenzhen显示文摘Resolution has been playing a significant role in landslide susceptibility mapping and hazard assessment.Based on geographical information system(GIS) and information model,the effects of raster resolution on landslide susceptibility mapping are studied in a central area of Shenzhen,China.Eight factors are selected to calculate landslide susceptibility with eleven groups of different resolutions(5 to 190 m).It has been found that a finer resolution does not necessarily lead to a higher accuracy of landslide susceptibility mappings,while the result of 90 m-resolution has the best accuracy and the 150 m-resolution has the worst one.The accuracy curve is in a shape of 'W' along with resolution decreasing:1) The accuracy decreases from 5 to 70 m;2) and then the best accuracy appears at 90 m,which is almost the same as the mean size of landslides in study area;3) the accuracy decreases again from 110 to 150 m;4) and finally the accuracy increases from 150 to 190 m.The sensitivity analysis indicates that the effects of raster resolution are mainly caused by the resolution impact on landform parameter derivation,while factors like geology and human activity are very insensitive to resolutions.A further study shows that in flat,ridge,and slope foot terrains,the susceptibility mapping result is sensitive to resolution,but in the sloping surface area the sensitivity is much less sensitive to resolution.At last,by choosing study areas with different sizes,it has also been found that the optimal resolutions are variable due to size of study area.But the study area is larger than a threshold,which is 135 km2 in this study,and the optimal resolution is almost fixed. | TIAN Yuan,XIAO ChenChao,LIU Yu & WU Lun Institute of RS and GIS,Peking University,Beijing 100871,China | 2008 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2008,51,S2: | 8 |
| 9 | Comparison of Two Methods to Assess the Size Structure of Phytoplankton Community Assemblages, in Liaodong Bay, China显示文摘Liaodong Bay is one of the largest semi-enclosed bays located in Bohai Sea,in northeast China.It is an important feeding and spawning place,even wintering and breeding migration base for many marine organisms.The size structure of phytoplankton communities is a key feature of marine ecosystems and can be used as an indicator for algae disaster,but the methods to evalute is still challenging.Here,we compared the size-fractionated chlorophyll-a method with a high-throughout sequencing method in an evaluation of the size structure of phytoplankton assemblages in Liaodong Bay,China,in 2014.The proportion of picophytoplankton was estimated at just 19%according to the results based on size-fractionated chlorophyll-a,which likely represents a severe underestimation.The sequencing method confirmed that many kinds of phytoplankton species appeared in more than one size-fractionated filter membrane,with some even dominating where the filter membrane pore size was greater than the individual phytoplankton size.According to the sequencing method,the phytoplankton assemblages in Liaodong Bay were dominated by picophytoplankton(average proportion=44%),followed by the nanophytoplankton(average 32%),a composition that is more consistent with other studies.The sequencing method provides a more robust way to assess the size structure and taxonomic diversity of marine phytoplankton communities. | SONG Lun WU Jing DU Jing LI Nan WANG Kun WANG Peng | 2019 | Journal of Ocean University of China2019,18,5: | 8 |

| 11 | A new method of pseudo absence data generation in landslide susceptibility mapping with a case study of Shenzhen显示文摘Landslide susceptibility mapping is a typical two-class classification problem where generating pseudo absence (non-slide) data plays an important role.In this paper,a new method,target space exteriorization sampling method (TSES),is presented to generate pseudo absence data based on presence data directly in feature space.TSES exteriorizes a presence sample to become a pseudo absence one by replacing the value of one of its features with a new one outside the value range of this feature of all presence data.This method is compared with two existing methods,buffer controlled sampling (BCS) and iteratively refined sampling (IRS),in a study area of Shenzhen city.The pseudo absence data generated by each of these three methods are organized into 20 subsets with increasing data sizes to study the effects of the proportion of pseudo absence data to presence data.The landslide susceptibility maps of the study area are calculated with all these datasets by general additive model (GAM).It can be concluded that,through a 10-fold validation,TSES and IRS-based models have similar AUC values that are both greater than that of BCS,but TSES outperforms BCS and IRS in prediction efficiency.TSES results also have more reasonable spatial and histogram distributions than BCS and IRS,which can support categorization of an area into more susceptibility ranks,while IRS shows a tendency to separate the whole study area into two susceptibility extremes.It can be also concluded that when using BCS,the pseudo absence data proportion to the presence data would be about 50% to get a considerable result,while for IRS or TSES the minimum proportion is 40%. | XIAO ChenChao TIAN Yuan SHI WenZhong GUO QingHua WU Lun | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,S1: | 7 |

| 13 | Architecture and key technologies of grid geographic information system显示文摘The highly efficient and stable collaborative computation platform for geospatial information can be constructed on the basis of Grid computing technology,com-bined with Peer-to-Peer (P2P) computing technology and geospatial database technology. This paper proposed the architecture and key technologies of the Grid GIS (Geographic Information System) incorporated with P2P structure,and corre-spondingly a Grid GIS prototype named Nebula was designed and then imple-mented. Nebula is a suite of middleware for geospatial Grid computing,which could be deployed onto various service nodes in network. Based on Grid protocols and infrastructure,Nebula provides invocation interfaces to users in form of Grid services. By using P2P message based communication mechanism,complex geospatial computation tasks could be accomplished by Nebula in a collaborative way. So far, more than 140 cycloartane triterpene glycosides have been isolated from Cimicifuga spp.. The aim of this review was to summarize all 9, 19-cyclolanostane triterpenoid glycosides based on the available relevant scientific literatures from 2000 to 2014. | 15 | Paleomagnetic results from Late Carboniferous to Early Permian rocks in the northern Qiangtang terrane, Tibet, China, and their tectonic implications显示文摘Results of a systematic paleomagnetic study are reported based on Late Carboniferous to Early Permian sedimentary rocks on the north slope of the Tanggula Mountains,in the northern Qiangtang terrane(NQT),Tibet,China.Data revealed that magnetic minerals in limestone samples from the Zarigen Formation(CP^z)are primarily composed of magnetite,while those in sandstone samples from the Nuoribagaribao Formation(Pnr)are dominated by hematite alone,or hematite and magnetite in combination.Progressive thermal,or alternating field,demagnetization allowed us to isolate a stable high temperature component(HTC)in 127 specimens from 16 sites which successfully passed the conglomerate test,consistent with primary remnance.The tilt-corrected mean direction for Late Carboniferous to Early Permian rocks in the northern Qiangtang terrane is D_s=30.2°,I_s=-40.9°,k_s=269.0,a_(95)=2.3°,N=16,which yields a corresponding paleomagnetic pole at 25.7°N,241.5°E(dp/dm=2.8°/1.7°),and a paleolatitude of 23.4°S.Our results,together with previously reported paleomagnetic data,indicate that:(1)the NQT in Tibet,China,was located at a low latitude in the southern hemisphere,and may have belonged to the northern margin of Gondwana during the Late Carboniferous to Early Permian;(2)the Paleo-Tethys Ocean was large during the Late Carboniferous to Early Permian,and(3)the NQT subsequently moved rapidly northwards,perhaps related to the fact that the Paleo-Tethys Ocean was rapidly contracting from the Late Permian to Late Triassic while the Bangong Lake-Nujiang Ocean,the northern branch of the Neo-Tethys Ocean,expanded rapidly during this time. | YANG XingFeng CHENG Xin ZHOU YaNan MA Lun ZHANG XiaoDong YAN ZhaoSheng PENG XiMing SU HaiLun WU HanNing | 2017 | Science China Earth Sciences2017,60,1: | 5 |

| 19 | Highly Efficient Synthesis of Environmentally Friendly Ag-modified TiO2 Nanoflowers to Enhance Photocatalytic Performance显示文摘Ag-modified TiO2 nanoflowers were prepared using a two-step process. The experimental process is green and free from contamination and can be synthesized directly at room temperature. Compared with pure TiO2, Ag-modified TiO2 enhances the absorption of visible light and effectively promotes the detachment of photoelectron pairs, Ag-TiO2 has a significantly enhanced visible light response activity to photodecomposition of methyl orange(MO). It is shown that the strong interaction between Ag nanoparticles and TiO2 enhances the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 nanoflowers. The self-made open-air reactor was used to test the photocatalytic performance of different samples. The results showed that Ag-modified TiO2 nanoflowers had excellent photodegradation ability. | 20 | Epidemiological characteristics and temporal-spatial analysis of overseas imported dengue fever cases in outbreak provinces of China, 2005–2019显示文摘Background Overseas imported dengue fever is an important factor in local outbreaks of this disease in the mainland of China.To better prevent and control such local outbreaks,the epidemiological characteristics and temporal-spatial distribution of overseas imported dengue fever cases in provincial-level administrative divisions(PLADs)where dengue fever is outbreak in the mainland of China were explored.Methods Using the Chinese National Notifiable Infectious Disease Reporting Information System(CNNDS),we identified overseas imported dengue fever cases in dengue fever outbreak areas in the mainland of China from 2005 to 2019 to draw the epidemic curve and population characteristic distribution of overseas imported cases in each PLAD.Based on spatial autocorrelation analysis of ArcGIS 10.5 and temporal-spatial scanning analysis of SaTScan 9.5,we analyzed the temporal-spatial distribution of overseas imported dengue fever in dengue fever outbreak areas in the mainland of China.Results A total of 11,407 imported cases,mainly from Southeast Asia,were recorded from 2005 to 2019 in these 13 PLADs.Of which 62.1%were imported into Yunnan and Guangdong Provinces.Among the imported cases,there were more males than females,mainly from the 21–50 age group.The hot spots were concentrated in parts of Yunnan,Guangdong and Fujian Provinces.We found the cluster of infected areas were expanding northward.Conclusions Based on the analysis of overseas imported dengue cases in 13 PLADs of the mainland of China from 2005 to 2019,we obtained the epidemiological characteristics and spatial distribution of imported dengue cases.Border controls need to pay attention to key population sectors,such as 21–50 years old men and education of key populations on dengue prevention.There is a need to improve the awareness of the prevention and control of imported cases in border areas.At the same time,northern regions cannot relax their vigilance. | Xinchang Lun Yiguan Wang Chunchun Zhao Haixia Wu Caiying Zhu Delong Ma Mingfang Xu Jun Wang Qiyong Liu Lei Xu Fengxia Meng | 2022 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2022,11,1: | 3 |
