1Polymorphisms in PPARD,PPARG and APM1 associated with four types of Traditional Chinese Medicine constitutions显示文摘Based on the theory of constitution of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the human population is divided into nine constitutions including one balanced constitution (Normality) and eight unbalanced constitutions (Yang-deficiency, Yin-deficiency, Phlegm-wetness, Qi-deficiency, Wetness-heat, Blood stasis, Depressed constitution, and Inherited special constitution). Different constitutions have specific metabolic features and different susceptibility to certain diseases. However, whether a genetic basis accounts for such constitution classifica-tion is yet to be determined. Here we performed a genetic study to assess the association between genetic variations of metabolic genes in-cluding PPARD, PPARG and APM1 and the constitutions. A total of 233 individuals of the Han population in China were classified into four groups, Normality, Yang-deficiency, Yin-deficiency and Phlegm-wetness with whom 23 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the three genes were genotyped using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) method. Biased distri-bution of PPARD rs2267669 and rs2076167, APM1 rs7627128 and rs1063539 in Yang-deficiency, PPARG Pro12Ala in Yin-deficiency and PPARD rs2076167, APM1 rs266729 and rs7627128 in Phlegm-wetness were observed. The frequencies of Haplotype13 (Hap13) of PPARG in Yin-deficiency, Hap25 of APM1 in Yang-deficiency and Hap2 of PPARD and Hap14 of PPARG in Phlegm-wetness, were significantly different from those in Normality, suggesting those might be group-associated haplotypes. 2Carbon pools and fluxes in the China Seas and adjacent oceans显示文摘The China Seas include the South China Sea, East China Sea, Yellow Sea, and Bohai Sea. Located off the Northwestern Pacific margin, covering 4700000 km^2 from tropical to northern temperate zones, and including a variety of continental margins/basins and depths, the China Seas provide typical cases for carbon budget studies. The South China Sea being a deep basin and part of the Western Pacific Warm Pool is characterized by oceanic features; the East China Sea with a wide continental shelf, enormous terrestrial discharges and open margins to the West Pacific, is featured by strong cross-shelf materials transport; the Yellow Sea is featured by the confluence of cold and warm waters; and the Bohai Sea is a shallow semiclosed gulf with strong impacts of human activities. Three large rivers, the Yangtze River, Yellow River, and Pearl River, flow into the East China Sea, the Bohai Sea, and the South China Sea, respectively. The Kuroshio Current at the outer margin of the Chinese continental shelf is one of the two major western boundary currents of the world oceans and its strength and position directly affect the regional climate of China. These characteristics make the China Seas a typical case of marginal seas to study carbon storage and fluxes. This paper systematically analyzes the literature data on the carbon pools and fluxes of the Bohai Sea,Yellow Sea, East China Sea, and South China Sea, including different interfaces(land-sea, sea-air, sediment-water, and marginal sea-open ocean) and different ecosystems(mangroves, wetland, seagrass beds, macroalgae mariculture, coral reefs, euphotic zones, and water column). Among the four seas, the Bohai Sea and South China Sea are acting as CO_2 sources, releasing about0.22 and 13.86–33.60 Tg C yr^(-1) into the atmosphere, respectively, whereas the Yellow Sea and East China Sea are acting as carbon sinks, absorbing about 1.15 and 6.92–23.30 Tg C yr^(-1) of atmospheric CO_2, respectively. Overall, if only the CO_2 exchange at the sea-air interface is considered, the Chinese marginal seas appear to be a source of atmospheric CO_2, with a net release of 6.01–9.33 Tg C yr^(-1), mainly from the inputs of rivers and adjacent oceans. The riverine dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) input into the Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea, East China Sea, and South China Sea are 5.04, 14.60, and 40.14 Tg C yr^(-1),respectively. The DIC input from adjacent oceans is as high as 144.81 Tg C yr^(-1), significantly exceeding the carbon released from the seas to the atmosphere. In terms of output, the depositional fluxes of organic carbon in the Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea, East China Sea, and South China Sea are 2.00, 3.60, 7.40, and 5.92 Tg C yr^(-1), respectively. The fluxes of organic carbon from the East China Sea and South China Sea to the adjacent oceans are 15.25–36.70 and 43.93 Tg C yr^(-1), respectively. The annual carbon storage of mangroves, wetlands, and seagrass in Chinese coastal waters is 0.36–1.75 Tg C yr^(-1), with a dissolved organic carbon(DOC) output from seagrass beds of up to 0.59 Tg C yr^(-1). Removable organic carbon flux by Chinese macroalgae mariculture account for 0.68 Tg C yr^(-1) and the associated POC depositional and DOC releasing fluxes are 0.14 and 0.82 Tg C yr^(-1), respectively. Thus, in total, the annual output of organic carbon, which is mainly DOC, in the China Seas is 81.72–104.56 Tg C yr^(-1). The DOC efflux from the East China Sea to the adjacent oceans is 15.00–35.00 Tg C yr^(-1). The DOC efflux from the South China Sea is 31.39 Tg C yr^(-1). 4Rh-doped PdAg nanoparticles as efficient methanol tolerance electrocatalytic materials for oxygen reduction显示文摘Direct methanol fuel cells(DMFCs)have received extensive attention on their high efficiency,high reliability,and no carbon emission.Unfortunately,the poor methanol tolerance and sluggish oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)at cathode have seriously hindered their further development.Herein we report the synthesis of a new class of Rh-doped PdAg alloy nanoparticles(NPs)for boosting ORR activity with high methanol tolerance capacity concurrently.The ORR mass activity of typical Rh_4Pd_(40)Ag_(56)NPs is 4.2 times higher than that of commercial Pt catalyst.Moreover,it shows a great methanol tolerance capability by maintaining 92.4%in ORR mass activity in alkaline solution with 0.1 mol L^(à1)methanol,against a big decrease of almost 100%for commercial Pt.Even after 30,000 potential cycles with 1.0 mol L^(à1)methanol,Rh_4Pd_(40)Ag_(56)NPs still retain ORR mass activity of up to 68.3%.DFT calculations reveal that excellent ORR performance with excellent methanol tolerance originates the active d-band-pinning engineering for an efficient site-independent electron-transfer.A generalized d-band mediated fine electron-transfer tuning path has blueprinted for effectively minimizing intrinsic ORR barriers with high current density.The present work highlights the key role of Rh doping in enhancing the ORR activity and methanol tolerance ability of PdAg NPs for future high-performance DMFCs.Yingjun Sun Bolong Huang Nuoyan Xu Yingjie Li Mingchuan Luo Chunji Li Yingnan Qin Lei Wang Shaojun Guo 2019Science Bulletin2019,64,1:4
5Mechanical Behavior and Microstructure of Ultrasonic-Spot-Welded Al/Cu Dissimilar Joints with Zn Interlayer显示文摘The effect of Zn interlayer on the microstructural evolution and mechanical behavior of dissimilar ultrasonic-spot-welded Al/Cu joints was investigated.The tensile lap shear strength in relation to welding energy was analyzed.The experimental results show that two intermetallic compounds,Cu5Zn8 and Al2Cu,were generated at the interface of the ultrasonic-spotwelded Al/Cu joint with a Zn interlayer.The primary joining mechanisms of the joint included the intermetallic compound bonding and metallic bonding caused by solid shear plastic deformation.Meanwhile,with increasing welding energy,the plastic deformation of the material became more substantial.With increasing welding energy,the tensile lap shear strength of the joints first increased and then decreased for the ultrasonic-spot-welded Al/Cu joints with and without Zn interlayers.Under the energy input of 700 J,the bearing load capacity of the ultrasonic-spot-welded Al/Cu joints with a Zn interlayer improved signifi cantly due to the observed intermetallic compound(Cu5Zn8).Chunjie Li Sansan Ao Anqi Wang Qi Wei Manpeng Wu Zhen Luo 2020Transactions of Tianjin University2020,26,4:2
6High-index faceted noble metal nanostructures drive renewable energy electrocatalysis显示文摘Noble metallic nanocrystals are used in a wide variety of applications,such as catalysis,batteries,and bio-and chemical sensors.Most of the previous studies focus on the preparation of thermodynamically stable nanocrystals enclosed by low-index facets and discuss their corresponding catalytic properties.Recently,researchers have found that the nanocrystals with high-index facets(HIFs)are of more interest for electrocatalysis.Herein,we review recent key progress in the synthesis of noble metallic nanoparticles enclosed with HIFs and their facetdependent electrocatalytic behaviors.First,we introduce the concept of HIFs,and establish the correlation between their surface structure and catalytic activity.Then,we discuss various synthetic approaches for controlling the shapes and composition of the nanocrystals enclosed by HIFs.Afterwards,we showcase the enhanced electrocatalytic performance realized by HIF-based nanostructures.Finally,we provide guidance on how to improve the electrocatalysis by engineering HIFs on noble metallic nanocrystals.Chunji Li Mingchuan Luo Zhonghong Xia Shaojun Guo 2020Nano Materials Science2020,2,4:1

8Long-term fertilization and residue return affect soil stoichiometry characteristics and labile soil organic matter fractions显示文摘Ecological stoichiometry provides the possibility for linking microbial dynamics with soil carbon(C),nitrogen(N),and phosphorus(P)metabolisms in response to agricultural nutrient management.To determine the roles of fertilization and residue return with respect to ecological stoichiometry,we collected soil samples from a 30-year field experiment on residue return(maize straw)at rates of 0,2.5,and 5.0 Mg ha^-1 in combination with 8 fertilization treatments:no fertilizer(F0),N fertilizer,P fertilizer,potassium(K)fertilizer,N and P(NP)fertilizers,N and K(NK)fertilizers,P and K(PK)fertilizers,and N,P,and K(NPK)fertilizers.We measured soil organic C(SOC),total N and P,microbial biomass C,N,and P,water-soluble organic C and N,KMnO4-oxidizabIe C(KMnO4-C),and carbon management index(CMI).Compared with the control(F0 treatment without residue return),fertilization and residue return significantly increased the KMn〇4-C content and CMI.Furthermore,compared with the control,residue return significantly increased the SOC content.Moreover,the NPK treatment with residue return at 5.0 Mg ha^-1 significantly enhanced the C:N,C:P,and N:P ratios in the soil,whereas it significantly decreased the C:N and C:P ratios in soil microbial biomass.Therefore,NPK fertilizer application combined with residue return at 5.0 Mg ha^-1 could enhance the SOC content through the stoichiometric plasticity of microorganisms.Residue return and fertilization increased the soil C pools by directly modifying the microbial stoichiometry of the biomass that was C limited.Shasha LUO Qiang GAO Shaojie WANG Lei TIAN Qi ZHOU Xiujun LI Chunjie TIAN 2020Pedosphere2020,30,5:1

10Farmers'Willingness to Withdraw from Rural Homesteads显示文摘In order to grasp the relationship between farmers'willingness and behavior to withdraw from rural homesteads,based on the theory of planned behavior,a survey was conducted in Jizhou District,Tianjin using convenience sampling method.A total of 443 valid questionnaires were collected and they were analyzed by SPSS.The results are as follows.(i)The willingness of farmers to withdraw from rural homesteads is affected by pre-cognitive factors such as behavioral attitude,subject norm and perceived behavior control.(ii)Among the benefits that can be brought by the withdrawal of homesteads,farmers value the improvement of the housing environment the most.(iii)Family members'view and relatives and neighbors'withdrawing from homesteads also exerts greater pressure on farmers.(iv)Farmers generally lack trust in the village committees or government departments'claims.(v)The cost of relocation also restricts the perceived behavior control of farmers'homesteads withdrawing.Based on above result,the following suggestions are made:strengthening policy publicity,raising farmers'awareness of policies related to the withdrawal of homesteads,fully respecting farmers'wishes,promoting the withdrawal of rural homesteads in an orderly manner,expanding the scope of compensation for withdrawal of rural homesteads,and enriching compensation methods.Zhenqi LUO Chunjie LI Zhanping YU Hegui ZHANG 2022Asian Agricultural Research2022,14,1:0
11Effects of Dietary Picria felterrae Lour Extracts on Serum Biochemical Indexes and Immune Function of Guangxi Partridge Chickens显示文摘[Objective] This trial was to investigate the effect of dietary Picria felterrae Lour extracts on serum biochemical indexes and immune function of Guangxi Partridge chickens. [Method] Totally 500 individuals of 1-day-old Guangxi Partridge chickens were randomly divided into five groups, five replicates each group and 20 chicks each replicate. Groups A, B and C were treatment groups supplemented with 0.70%, 0.35% and0.175% P. felterrae extracts in the basal diet, respectively; group D was a medical control group supplemented with 0.01% colistin sulfate premix in the basal diet; and group E was a control group with basal diet. Serum samples were collected from 10 chickens in each group at 21, 35 and 49 days of age, to analyze the biochemical and immune indexes. [Result] It had no significant impact on serum TP and GLU contents of chickens by adding different levels of P. felterrae extracts in the basal diet(P >0.05). However, at 21 and 35 days of age, the TBILI content of chickens in groups A, B and C were extremely lower or significantly lower than that in group E( P<0.01; P<0.05). At 35 days of age, the serum AKP activities in groups A, B and C were extremely higher than that in group E(P<0.01), and the serum GOT activities at 21 and 35 days of age in group C were significantly higher than that in group E(P<0.05). At 49 days of age, the serum Ig G content in groups A, B and C and the IL-2 content in group B and group C were significantly lower or extremely lower than that in group E( P<0.05; P<0.01); the T-AOC content in group B was significantly higher than that in group E(P<0.05); the GSH content in groups A, B and C were significantly higher than that in group E( P<0.05). Adding different levels of P. felterrae extracts in the diet significantly decreased the TBILI content, reduced the Ig G, IL-2 and IL-6 contents, and improved the AKP and GOT activities and the T-AOC and GSH contents of Guangxi Partridge chicken. 12Performance and mechanism of carbamazepine removal by FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2–)process:experimental investigation and DFT calculations显示文摘As persulfate(S_(2)O_(8)^(2-))is being increasingly used as an alternative oxidizing agent,developing lowcost and eco-friendly catalysts for efficient S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)activation is potentially useful for the treatment of wastewater containing refractory organic pollutant.In this study,the degradative features and mechanisms of carbamazepine(CBZ)were systematically investigated in a novel FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process under near-neutral conditions.The results exhibited that CBZ can be effectively eliminated by the FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process and the optimal conditions were:250 mg/L FeS,0.5 mmol/L S_(2)O_(8)^(2-),and pH=6.0.The existence of Cl^(−)(1 and 50 mmol/L)has little influence on the CBZ elimination,while both HCO_(3)^(−) and HPO_(4)^(2−)(1 and 50 mmol/L)significantly suppressed the CBZ removal in the FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process.CBZ could be degraded via a radical mechanism in the FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process,the working radical species(i.e.,SO_(4)•−and•OH)were efficiently formed via the promoted decomposition of S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)by the surface Fe2+on the FeS and the dissolved ferrous ions in solution.Based on the identified oxidized products and Fukui index calculations,a possible degradation pathway of CBZ was speculated.More importantly,a two-stage oxidation mechanism of CBZ elimination was speculated in the FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process,the activation of S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)by the surface-active Fe(II)of FeS dominated in the initial 5 min,while homogeneous oxidation reactions played more essential parts than others in the following reaction stage(5–60 min).Overall,this study demonstrated that the FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process is capable of removing CBZ from water efficiently.Xuejun Long Jun Luo Zhenxing Zhong Yanxu Zhu Chunjie Zhang Jun Wan Haiyan Zhou Beiping Zhang Dongsheng Xia 2023Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2023,17,9:0
13Identification of loci and candidate genes controlling kernel weight in barley based on a population for which whole genome assemblies are available for both parents显示文摘Kernel weight(KW), together with kernel number per unit area, determines yield of cereal crops. Here,two barley recombinant inbred lines(RILs) populations with a shared parent were used to identify loci controlling KW. One is Baudin/AWCS276(BA) for which a linkage map was available. Several largeeffect QTL controlling KW were detected in this population. Another is Morex/AWCS276(MA). A linkage map with 5273 makers formed 1454 clusters, was constructed by the genotyping by sequence(GBS) data of 201 RILs from this population. A single marker was selected to represent each of the clusters and the linkage map constructed with these markers covers a total length of 1022.4 c M with an average interval of approximately 0.7 cM between loci. Three of the large-effect loci controlling KW(located on 2 HL, 6 HL,and 7 HL, respectively) identified from the BA population were also detected in the MA population under different environments. The locus on 6 HL was detected in each of the experiments conducted for both populations thus was selected for developing near isogenic lines(NILs). Apart from KW, the two isolines for each pair of the putative NILs obtained showed no significant difference for any of the morphological characteristics assessed. The average difference in KW between the isolines for all the NILs obtained was about 15% based on assessments under both glasshouse and field conditions. Taken advantage that high quality genome assemblies for both Morex and AWCS276 are available, we identified candidate genes underlying two of the three loci based on an orthologous analysis. 14Data-driven soft sensors in blast furnace ironmaking:a survey显示文摘The blast furnace is a highly energy-intensive,highly polluting,and extremely complex reactor in the ironmaking process.Soft sensors are a key technology for predicting molten iron quality indices reflecting blast furnace energy consumption and operation stability,and play an important role in saving energy,reducing emissions,improving product quality,and producing economic benefits.With the advancement of the Internet of Things,big data,and artificial intelligence,data-driven soft sensors in blast furnace ironmaking processes have attracted increasing attention from researchers,but there has been no systematic review of the data-driven soft sensors in the blast furnace ironmaking process.This review covers the state-of-the-art studies of data-driven soft sensors technologies in the blast furnace ironmaking process.Specifically,wefirst conduct a comprehensive overview of various data-driven soft sensor modeling methods(multiscale methods,adaptive methods,deep learning,etc.)used in blast furnace ironmaking.Second,the important applications of data-driven soft sensors in blast furnace ironmaking(silicon content,molten iron temperature,gas utilization rate,etc.)are classified.Finally,the potential challenges and future development trends of data-driven soft sensors in blast furnace ironmaking applications are discussed,including digital twin,multi-source data fusion,and carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.Yueyang LUO Xinmin ZHANG Manabu KANO Long DENG Chunjie YANG Zhihuan SONG 2023Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2023,24,3:0
