Measurement of overburden failure zones in close-multiple coal seams mining显示文摘In the Kaiping Coal field, mining of five coal seams, located within 80 m in the Kailuan Group,#5,#7,#8,#9 and#12 coal seam,is difficult due to small interburden thickness, concentrated stress distributions, high coal seam metamorphism, and complex geological conditions.By using the ZTR12 geological penetration radar(GPR)survey combined with borehole observations, the overburden caving due to mining of the five coals seams was measured. The development characteristics of full-cover rock fractures after mining were obtained from the GPR scan, which provides a measurement basis for the control of rock strata in close multiple coal seam mining. For the first time,it was found that the overburden caving pattern shows a periodic triangular caved characteristic.Furthermore,it is proposed that an upright triangular collapsed pile masonry and an inverted triangular with larger fragments piled up alternately appear in the lower gob.The research results show that the roof structure formed in the gob area can support the key overlying strata, which is beneficial to ensure the integrity and stability of the upper coal seams in multiple-seam mining of close coal seams.Yang Li Yuqi Ren Syd S.Peng Haozhou Cheng Nan Wang Junbo Luo 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,1:5
Amorphous and humidity caking: A review显示文摘Caking of products is a common and undesired phenomenon in food, chemical, pharmaceutical, and fertilizer industries which leads to extra cost and irregular quality. In general, caking processes could be identified as amorphous caking or humidity caking. In this review, history of studying caking, formation, methods, and prospects of these two caking processes are summarized and discussed. The relevant studies from the 1920 s to today are mentioned briefly. According to the different properties(i.e. hygrocapacity, hygrosensitivity, mechanical properties, and diffusion behavior) of amorphous powders and crystals, the conditions and mechanisms of amorphous and humidity caking are discussed. It is summarized that glass transition, moisture sorption, quantitative methods characterizing caking, accelerated caking tests, and simulation of caking behaviors are the main aspects that should be studied for a caking process. The methods for these five aspects are reviewed. Potential research points are proposed including caking of mixed particles, caking with phase transition or polymorph transition,non-homogenous caking, and simulation of caking.Mingyang Chen Dejiang Zhang Weibing Dong Zhilong Luo Chao Kang Haichao Li Gang Wang Junbo Gong 2019Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2019,27,6:3
Hepatitis B virus hijacks CTHRC1 to evade host immunity and maintain replication显示文摘HepatitisBvirus(HBV)infection causes acuteand chronic liver diseases, but is not directly cytopathic.Liver injury results fromrepeated attempts of the cellular immune response system to control the viral infection. Here,we investigate the roles of cellular factors and signaling pathways involved in the regulation of HBV replication to reveal the mechanism underlying HBV infection and pathogenesis.Weshowthat collagen triple helix repeat containing 1(CTHRC1)expression is elevated in HBV-infected patients andin HBV-transfected cells through epigenetic modification and transcriptional regulation.CTHRC1 facilitates HBV replication in cultured cells and BALB/c mice by activating the PKCa/ERK/JNK/c-Jun cascade to repress the IFN/JAK/STAT pathway.HBV-activated CTHRC1 downregulates the activityof typeI interferon(IFN),theproductionof IFN-stimulatedgenes(ISGs),andthephosphorylationofsignal transducerandactivator of transcription 1/2(STAT1/2),whereas it upregulates the phosphorylation and ubiquitination of type I IFN receptors(IFNARa/b).Thus,our results showthat HBV uses a novelmechanismto hijack cellular factors and signal cascades in order to evade host antiviral immunity and maintain persistent infection. We also demonstrate that CTHRC1 has a novel role in viral infection.Lan Bai Wei Zhang Li Tan Hongchuan Yang Maolin Ge Chengliang Zhu Rui Zhang Yanhua Cao Junbo Chen Zhen Luo Wenzhe Ho Fang Liu Kailang Wu Jianguo Wu 2015Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2015,7,6:2

Viséan Fossil Plants from the Jiujialu Formation in Central Guizhou Province: Implications for Age of Bauxite and Palaeoenvironment显示文摘Fossil plants from the carbonaceous shale of upper part of the Lower Carboniferous Jiujialu Formation in Lindai bauxite deposit fill a gap regarding the distribution of Early Carboniferous flora in Central Guizhou Province. Here the Lindai plant assemblage is systematically described, and its composition and geological age are discussed.Research demonstrates that 9 species in 6 genera of the fossil plants are discovered in this study, and they belong to lycopsids, sphenopsids and ferns, respectively.Based on the analysis of the floral composition, the geological age of the Lindai plant assemblage belongs to the Early Carboniferous Viséan.The discovery of Lindai plant assemblage not only provides a new fossil evidence to restrict the age of bauxite deposits in Lower Carboniferous Jiujialu Formation of Central Guizhou Province, but also has great significance to further research the palaeoecological setting and floral evolution during the Early Carboniferous.LUO Chaokun YANG Ruidong GAO Junbo Muhammad UMAIR WANG Longbo GAO Lei 2020Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,6:1
An ischemic area-targeting,peroxynitrite-responsive,biomimetic carbon monoxide nanogenerator for preventing myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury显示文摘Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (MI/R) injury is common in patients who undergo revascularization therapy for myocardial infarction, often leading to cardiac dysfunction. Carbon monoxide (CO) has emerged as a therapeutic molecule due to its beneficial properties such as anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic, and mitochondrial biogenesis-promoting properties. However, its clinical application is limited due to uncontrolled release, potential toxicity, and poor targeting efficiency. To address these limitations, a peroxynitrite (ONOO )-triggered CO donor (PCOD585) is utilized to generate a poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA)-based, biomimetic CO nanogenerator (M/PCOD@PLGA) that is coated with the macrophage membrane, which could target to the ischemic area and neutralize proinflammatory cytokines. In the ischemic area, local produced ONOO triggers the continuous release of CO from M/PCOD@PLGA, which efficiently ameliorates MI/R injury by clearing harmful ONOO , attenuating the inflammatory response, inhibiting cardiomyocyte apoptosis, and promoting mitochondrial biogenesis. This study provides a novel insight into the safe therapeutic use of CO for MI/R injury by utilizing a novel CO donor combined with biomimetic technology. The M/PCOD@PLGA nanogenerator offers targeted delivery of CO to the ischemic area, minimizing potential toxicity and enhancing therapeutic efficacy.Jinyan Zhang Liwei Liu Zhen Dong Xicun Lu Wenxuan Hong Jin Liu Xiaoyi Zou Jinfeng Gao Hao Jiang Xiaolei Sun Kai Hu Youjun Yang Junbo Ge Xiao Luo Aijun Sun 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,10:1
Co‑packaged optics(CPO):status, challenges, and solutions显示文摘Due to the rise of 5G,IoT,AI,and high-performance computing applications, datacenter trafc has grown at a compound annual growth rate of nearly 30%.Furthermore,nearly three-fourths of the datacenter trafc resides within datacenters. The conventional pluggable optics increases at a much slower rate than that of datacenter trafc. The gap between application requirements and the capability of conventional pluggable optics keeps increasing,a trend that is unsustainable.Copackaged optics(CPO)is a disruptive approach to increasing the interconnecting bandwidth density and energy efciency by dramatically shortening the electrical link length through advanced packaging and co-optimization of electronics and photonics.CPO is widely regarded as a promising solution for future datacenter interconnections, and silicon platform is the most promising platform for large-scale integration.Leading international companies(e.g.,Intel,Broadcom and IBM)have heavily investigated in CPO technology,an inter-disciplinary research feld that involves photonic devices, integrated circuits design, packaging, photonic device modeling,electronic-photonic co-simulation,applications,and standardization. This review aims to provide the readers a comprehensive overview of the state-of-the-art progress of CPO in silicon platform, identify the key challenges, and point out the potential solutions, hoping to encourage collaboration between diferent research felds to accelerate the development of CPO technology.Min Tan Jiang Xu Siyang Liu Junbo Feng Hua Zhang Chaonan Yao Shixi Chen Hangyu Guo Gengshi Han Zhanhao Wen Bao Chen Yu He Xuqiang Zheng Da Ming Yaowen Tu Qiang Fu Nan Qi Dan Li Li Geng Song Wen Fenghe Yang Huimin He Fengman Liu Haiyun Xue Yuhang Wang Ciyuan Qiu Guangcan Mi Yanbo Li Tianhai Chang Mingche Lai Luo Zhang Qinfen Hao Mengyuan Qin 2023Frontiers of Optoelectronics2023,16,1:1
Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) in type 2 diabetes melitus: from pathophysiology to therapeutics显示文摘Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM or T2D)is a devastating metabolic abnormality featured by insulin resistance, hyperglycemia, and hyperlipidemia.T2D provokes unique metabolic changes and compromises cardiovascular geometry and function.Meanwhile,T2D increases the overall risk for heart failure(HF)and acts independent of classical risk factors including coronary artery disease, hypertension, and valvular heart diseases. The incidence of HF is extremely high in patients with T2D and is manifested as HF with preserved, reduced, and midrange ejection fraction(HFpEF,HFrEF,and HFmrEF,respectively),all of which significantly worsen the prognosis for T2D.HFpEFis seen in approximately half of the HF cases and is defined as a heterogenous syndrome with discrete phenotypes, particularly in close association with metabolic syndrome.Nonetheless, management of HFpEF in T2D remains unclear, largely due to the poorly defined pathophysiology behind HFpEF.Here,in this review,we will summarize findings from multiple preclinical and clinical studies as well as recent clinical trials, mainly focusing on the pathophysiology, potential mechanisms, and therapies of HFpEF in T2D.Miyesaier Abudureyimu Xuanming Luo Xiang Wang James R.Sowers Wenshuo Wang Junbo Ge Jun Ren Yingmei Zhang 2022Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2022,14,5:1

Berberine alleviates myocardial diastolic dysfunction by modulating Drp1-mediated mitochondrial fission and Ca^(2+)homeostasis in a murine model of HFpEF显示文摘Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction(HFpEF)displays normal or near-normal left ventricular ejection fraction, diastolic dysfunction, cardiac hypertrophy, and poor exercise capacity.Berberine,an isoquinoline alkaloid, possesses cardiovascular benefits.Adult male mice were assigned to chow or high-fat diet with L-NAME(“two-hit”model)for 15 weeks.Diastolic function was assessed using echocardiography and noninvasive Doppler technique.Myocardial morphology, mitochondrial ultrastructure, and cardiomyocyte mechanical properties were evaluated.Proteomics analysis, autophagic flux, and intracellular Ca^(2+)were also assessed in chow and HFpEF mice. The results show exercise intolerance and cardiac diastolic dysfunction in“two-hit”-induced HFpEF model,in which unfavorable geometric changes such as increased cell size, interstitial fibrosis, and mitochondrial swelling occurred in the myocardium.Diastolic dysfunction was indicated by the elevated E value, mitral E/A ratio, and E/e’ratio,decreased e’value and maximal velocity of re-lengthening(-dL/dt),and prolonged re-lengthening in HFpEF mice. The effects of these processes were alleviated by berberine. Moreover, berberine ameliorated autophagic flux, alleviated Drp1 mitochondrial localization, mitochondrial Ca^(2+)overload and fragmentation, and promoted intracellular Ca^(2+)reuptake into sarcoplasmic reticulum by regulating phospholamban and SERCA2a.Finally,berberine alleviated diastolic dysfunction in“two-hit”diet-induced HFpEF model possibly because of the promotion of autophagic flux, inhibition of mitochondrial fragmentation, and cytosolic Ca^(2+)overload.Miyesaier Abudureyimu Mingjie Yang Xiang Wang Xuanming Luo Junbo Ge Hu Peng Yingmei Zhang Jun Ren 2023Frontiers of Medicine2023,17,6:0
