| 1 | Human ESC-derived expandable hepatic organoids enable therapeutic liver repopulation and pathophysiological modeling of alcoholic liver injury显示文摘We report the generation of human ESC-derived,expandable hepatic organoids(hEHOs)using our newly established method with wholly defined(serum-free,feeder free)media.The hEHOs stably maintain phenotypic features of bipotential liver stem/progenitor cells that can differentiate into functional hepatocytes or cholangiocytes.The hEHOs can expand for 20 passages enabling large scale expansion to cell numbers requisite for industry or clinical programs.The cells from hEHOs display remarkable repopulation capacity in injured livers of FRG mice following transplantation,and they differentiate in vivo into mature hepatocytes.If implanted into the epididymal fat pads of immune-deficient mice,they do not generate non-hepatic lineages and have no tendency to form teratomas.We further develop a derivative model by incorporating human fetal liver mesenchymal cells(hFLMCs)into the hEHOs,referred to as hFLMC/hEHO,which can model alcoholic liver disease-associated pathophysiologic changes,including oxidative stress generation,steatosis,inflammatory mediators release and fibrosis,under ethanol treatment.Our work demonstrates that the hEHOs have considerable potential to be a novel,ex vivo pathophysiological model for studying alcoholic liver disease as well as a promising cellular source for treating human liver diseases. | Shuyong Wang Xuan Wang Zuolong Tan Yuxin Su Juan Liu Mingyang Chang Fang Yan Jie Chen Tao Chen Chuanjiang Li Jie Hu Yunfang Wang | 2019 | Cell Research2019,29,12: | 20 |

| 3 | Improved electromagnetic dissipation of Fe doping LaCoO_(3)toward broadband microwave absorption显示文摘Perovskite LaCoO_(3)is of great potential in electromagnetic wave absorption considering its outstanding dielectric loss as well as the existing magnetic response with the magnetic doping.However,the dissipation mechanism of the magnetic doping on the microwave absorption is lack of sufficient investigated.In this paper,LaCo_(1-x)Fe_(x)O_(3)(x=0,0.05,0.1,0.15,0.2,0.25,0.3,LCFOs)perovskites with different Fe doping amounts were prepared successfully by the sol-gel method and subsequent heat treatment in the air atmosphere.The structure characterization carried out by the frst-principles calculations shows the effect of Fe doping on the dielectric and magnetic properties of LCFOs and the strong hybridization of Co/Fe-3d with O-2p in the LCFOs system was successfully demonstrated.Particularly,when x=0.1 and the thickness is only 1.95 mm,the LaCo_(0.9)Fe_(0.1)O_(3)exhibits the best microwave absorption performance with the minimum reflection loss(RL)value of about-41 dB.The typical samples achieve a broad effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of 5.16 GHz(7.92-13.08 GHz),which covers the total X band(8-12 GHz).Considering that,the especial Fe doping perovskite is promising to be a candidate as efficient microwave absorbers. | Fan Wang Weihua Gu Jiabin Chen Qianqian Huang Mingyang Han Gehuan Wang Guangbin Ji | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,10: | 6 |

| 5 | Amorphous and humidity caking: A review显示文摘Caking of products is a common and undesired phenomenon in food, chemical, pharmaceutical, and fertilizer industries which leads to extra cost and irregular quality. In general, caking processes could be identified as amorphous caking or humidity caking. In this review, history of studying caking, formation, methods, and prospects of these two caking processes are summarized and discussed. The relevant studies from the 1920 s to today are mentioned briefly. According to the different properties(i.e. hygrocapacity, hygrosensitivity, mechanical properties, and diffusion behavior) of amorphous powders and crystals, the conditions and mechanisms of amorphous and humidity caking are discussed. It is summarized that glass transition, moisture sorption, quantitative methods characterizing caking, accelerated caking tests, and simulation of caking behaviors are the main aspects that should be studied for a caking process. The methods for these five aspects are reviewed. | 9 | Detrital Zircon U-Pb Geochronology and Provenance of the Hebukesaier Formation in the Shaerbuerti Mountains,Northern West Junggar:Implication for Devonian Subduction of the Junggar–Balkhash Ocean显示文摘Limited Devonian magmatic record in northern West Junggar leads to contrasting models on its tectonic evolution.In this study,we conducted LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating on detrital zircons of two sandstones from the Hebukesaier Formation in the Shaerbuerti Mountains.Detrital zircons with oscillatory zoning are characterized by high Th/U(>0.3)and low La/Yb(<0.15),indicating their magmatic origin.The youngest zircon ages of two samples are 402±2 Ma and 406±2 Ma,respectively,suggesting that the Hebukesaier Formation was deposited at the Early Devonian.Detrital zircon age patterns show single peaks(at ca.424 Ma,n=157),which indicates that these clastics were likely proximal accumulation after short distance transportation.Provenance of the Hebukesaier Formation was the Xiemisitai and Shaerbuerti Mountains.Detrital zircon ages range from 481 Ma to 395 Ma,which indicates that there was relatively continuous Early Paleozoic magmatism in the Xiemisitai and Shaerbuerti Mountains since the Early Ordovician.Age spectrums of sampled detrital zircons are distinct from those of Lower Devonian strata either in southern West Junggar or in East Junggar,which implies for individual tectonic evolution of northern West Junggar.We favor that Lower Devonian Hebukesaier Formation was developed in a fore–arc setting due to the northward subduction of the Junggar–Balkhash Ocean. | LIANG Hao CHEN Jiafu MA Xu YANG Hongzhang XIN Mingyang | 2020 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,5: | 2 |

| 13 | Risk factors associated with hemorrhagic cystitis after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation显示文摘Hemorrhagic cystitis(HC)is a common complication of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT).The incidence is about 7%to 68%,and some patients have to suffer a long period of frequent,urgent,and painful urination,which brings great pain.This study aimed to analyze risk factors of HC and its effect on patient survival.We collected the medical records of 859 patients who underwent HSCT at our hospital between August 2016 and August 2020.Patients with and without HC were matched using propensity score matching at a 1:1 ratio based on sex,age,and diagnosis,and logistic regression analyses were used to identify factors associated with HC.We used Kaplan–Meier curves to analyze the survival rates of patients in the HC and non-HC groups.We also analyzed the relationship between BK viral load and the occurrence of HC using receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC)analysis.After propensity score matching,there were 131 patients each in the HC and non-HC groups.In the HC group,89 patients(67.9%)had mild HC(stage II°)and 43(32.1%)had severe HC(stage III–IV).The median interval between stem cell transplantation and HC development was 31(3–244)days.Univariate analysis indicated that donor age,hematopoietic stem cell source,HLA,acute graft-versus-host disease,busulfan,anti-thymocyte globulin(ATG),total body irradiation,cytomegalovirus(CMV)(urine),and BK polyomavirus(BKV)(urine)were significantly associated with HC.ATG,CMV(urine),and BKV(urine)were independent risk factors for HC based on the multivariate analysis.The Kaplan–Meier survival analysis showed no significant difference between the HC and non-HC groups(P=0.14).The 1-and 2-year survival rates in the HC group were 78.4%and 69.6%,respectively,and the corresponding rates in the non-HC group were 84.4%and 80.7%,respectively.ROC analysis indicated that a urine BKV load of 1×10^(7) copies/mL was able to stratify the risk of HC.In conclusion,when the BKV load is>1×10^(7),we needtobe aware of the potential for the development of HC. | Biao Shen Yueshen Ma Haixiao Zhang Mingyang Wang Jia Liu Jiaxin Cao Wenwen Guo Dan Feng Donglin Yang Rongli Zhang Xin Chen Qiaoling Ma Weihua Zhai Sizhou Feng Mingzhe Han Aiming Pang Erlie Jiang 无 | 2022 | Blood Science2022,4,2: | 2 |
