| 3 | Oil-soluble ionic liquids as antiwear and extreme pressure additives in poly-α-olefin for steel/steel contacts显示文摘To enhance the lubricating and extreme pressure(EP) performance of base oils, two types of oil-soluble ionic liquids(ILs) with similar anion albeit dissimilar cations were synthesized. The physical properties of the prepared ILs were measured. The anticorrosion properties of ILs were assessed by conducting corrosion tests on steel discs and copper strips, which revealed the remarkable anticorrosion properties of the ILs in comparison with those of the commercial additive zinc dialkyldithiophosphate(ZDDP). The tribological properties of the two ILs as additives for poly-α-olefin-10(PAO10) with various mass concentrations were investigated. The tribological test results indicate that these ILs as additives are capable of reducing friction and wear of sliding contacts remarkably as well as enhance the EP performance of blank PAO10. Under similar test conditions, these IL additives exhibit higher lubricating and anti-wear(AW) performances than those of ZDDP based additive package in PAO10. Subsequently, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS) were conducted to study the lubricating mechanism of the two ILs. | 4 | Mars Express tracking and orbit determination trials with Chinese VLBI network显示文摘With strong support from European Space Agency (ESA),Shanghai Astronomical Observatory (SHAO) organized a tracking and orbit determination trails using Chinese VLBI Network (CVN) to track Mars Express,the first Mars probe launched by ESA. Using a high-resolution VLBI software correlator and Doppler measurement system developed in-house,two sets of tracking data,VLBI and Doppler,were acquired. The trials represent the first successful foray held in China to track a probe about 360 million kilometers away from the Earth. The tracking data are analyzed using a Mars satellite orbit determination software system developed at SHAO. The results show that the accuracy of 5 s integrated three-way-Doppler data is about 0.3 mm/s,or roughly the same accuracy as ESA's tracking data. Position discrepancies between the Doppler-based orbit solution of 8 h arc-length (about 1 orbital revolution) and ESA's reconstructed orbit are of the order of several hundred meters. In preparing for the Russia-China co-sponsored Mars exploration mission Phobos-Grunt-YingHuo,simulations were carried out to evaluate the achievable orbital accuracy levels and the contributions of VLBI and Doppler data respectively. | 6 | Pre-peak on the structure factor of liquid hypoeutectic Al-Fe alloy显示文摘Using a θ-θ X ray diffractometer the structure of liquid hypoeutectic Al Fe alloy at 675℃ and its change with different thermal histories are investigated . Liquid Al is used as a reference system. It is found that a pre peak appears on the small angle part of the structure factor of the nonsuperheated hypoeutectic Al Fe alloy, but disappears after superheating whereas the structure factors of liquid Al hardly change with the different thermal histories, and no pre peak can be observed on them. The appearance of a pre peak is a mark of the intermediate range order (IRO). The pre peak is taken as the correlation between Fe atoms on the IRO length scale. Assume that the crystalline structure is the first order approximation of the liquid structure. A model structure is constructed. The basic unit is a cube formed by 8 Al atoms on its corner and one Fe atom occupying its center. The translation of such a unit along its fourbody diagonals by the length of a diagonal can meet the requirement of the Fe_Fe distance and gives a DO 3 like structure. If the vacancy among the units is filled with fcc like Al cells, the composition of the entity is about Al 7Fe, close to that of the metastable phase Al 6Fe from rapid solidification. | 7 | Characteristics of distribution of Mycobacterium tuberculosis lineages in China显示文摘The genotyping methods of Mycobacterium tuberculosis would dramatically improve our understanding of the molecular epidemiology of tuberculosis. 3,929 isolates, from a National Survey of Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis in 2007 in China, were successfully genotyped by large sequence polymorphisms and 15 loci variable number tandem repeats. We found that 2,905(2,905/3,929, 73.9%) cases belonged to Lineage 2, dominated in the east and central regions, 975 cases(975/3,929, 24.8%) were Lineage 4, highly prevailed in the west regions, and 36 and 13 cases were Lineage 3 and Lineage 1, respectively. We also explored the associations between lineages(Lineage 2 vs. Lineage 4) and clinical characteristics by logistic regression. For Lineage 2, the risk factors were Han-ethnicity population and fever. However, for Lineage 4, they were occupation(farmer), and degree of education(non-literate). | 9 | Low concentrations of NaHSO_3 enhance NAD(P)H dehydrogenasedependent cyclic photophosphorylation and alleviate the oxidative damage to improve photosynthesis in tobacco显示文摘Bisulfite at low concentrations(L-NaHSO3) increases cyclic electron transport around photosystem I(PSI) and photosynthesis.However,little is known regarding the detailed contribution of cyclic electron transport to the promoted photosynthesis by L-NaHSO3.In the present work,we used tobacco mutant defective in ndhC-ndhK-ndhJ(ndhCKJ) to investigate the role of NAD(P)H dehydrogenase(NDH)-dependent cyclic electron transport around PSI in an increase in photosynthesis by L-NaHSO3.After the treatment of tobacco leaves with L-NaHSO3(10 μmol L-1),the NDH-dependent cyclic electron transport,monitored by a transient post-illumination increase in Chl fluorescence and the amount of NDH,was notably up-regulated in wild type(WT).The NDH-dependent cyclic electron transport was severely impaired in ndhCKJ and was not significantly affected by treatment with L-NaHSO3.Accordingly,the NDH-dependent transthylakoid membrane proton gradient(pH),as reflected by the slow phase of millisecond-delayed light emission(ms-DLE),was increased by L-NaHSO3 in WT,but not in ndhCKJ;the enhancement of cyclic photophosphorylation(PSP) activity by L-NaHSO3 was more obvious in WT than ndhCKJ.The accumulation of both superoxide and hydrogen peroxide was reduced in WT when subjected to L-NaHSO3 treatment,but not in ndhCKJ.Furthermore,the increase of photosynthetic O 2 evolution rate by L-NaHSO3 was more significant in WT than in ndhCKJ.We therefore conclude that L-NaHSO3 alleviates the photo-oxidative damage by the enhancement of NDH-dependent cyclic PSP,thereby improving photosynthesis. | WU YanXia HE Wei MA WeiMin SHEN YunKang MI HuaLing | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,30: | 5 |

| 12 | Effects of atomization parameters of dust removal nozzles on the de-dusting results for different dust sources显示文摘In order to obtain appropriate spray pressure and enhance the spraying and dust removal efficiency, various factors including the dust characteristics, nozzle spraying angle, effective spraying range, water consumption and droplet size are taken into account. The dust characteristics from different mines and atomization parameters of different pressure nozzles were measured. It was found that the internal pressure of coal cutters and roadheaders should be kept at 2 MPa, which could ensure large droplet size, large spraying angle and low water consumption and hence realizing a large-area covering and capture for large particle dusts. However, the external spray pressure should be kept at 4 MPa for smaller droplet size and longer effective spraying range, leading to effective dust removal in the operator zone. The spray pressure of support moving, drawing opening, and stage loader on a fully mechanized caving face and stage loader on a fully mechanized driving face should be kept at 8 MPa, under which the nozzles have long effective spraying range, high water flow and small droplet size for the rapid capture of instantaneous, high-concentration and small size dust groups. From the applications on the caving and driving faces in the coal mines, it is indicated that the optimization of spray pressure in different spraying positions could effectively enhance dust removal efficiency. Selecting appropriate nozzles according to the dust characteristics at different positions is also favorable for dust removal efficiency. Corrosion resistance analyses have been carried out using electrochemical measurements and corrosion products have been analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The experimental results show that the addition of Ni can promote the nucleation of α-Fe, retard the decomposition of the metastable borides, and alter the crystallization mode of the present Fe-based glassy alloys. The lattice constant (a0Fe) of α-Fe in the annealed samples shows a decreasing trend with increasing annealing time. The Ni addition can improve the corrosion resistance of the as-quenched Fe-based glassy alloys in H2SO4, NaCl and NaOH solutions. Theoretical studies show that XWVD of the analyzed signal can be estimated from XWVD of the noise-contaminated signal. The estimation is unbiased, and the variance is equal to that of noise. In this case, WVD cannot be estimated from WVD of the noise-contaminated signal. In this study, the rate of electron transport (ETR) driven by photosystem I (PSI) and photosystem II (PSII) during heat stress in the wild-type Synechocystis sp. strain PCC 6803 (WT) and its ndh gene inactiva-tion mutants △ndhB (M55) and △ndhD1/ndhD2 (D1/D2) was simultaneously assessed by using the novel Dual-PAM-100 measuring system. The rate of electron transport driven by the photosystems (ETRPSs) in the WT, M55, and D1/D2 cells incubated at 30℃ and at 55℃ for 10 min was compared. Incubation at 55 ℃ for 10 min significantly inhibited PSII-driven ETR (ETRPSII) in the WT, M55 and D1/D2 cells, and the ex-tent of inhibition in both the M55 and D1/D2 cells was greater than that in the WT cells. Further, PSI-driven ETR (ETRPSI) was stimulated in both the WT and D1/D2 cells, and this rate was increased to a greater extent in the D1/D2 than in the WT cells. However, ETRPSI was considerably inhibited in the M55 cells. Analysis of the effect of heat stress on ETRPSs with regard to the alterations in the 2 active NDH-1 complexes in the WT, M55, and D1/D2 cells indicated that the active NDH-1 supercomplex and medi-umcomplex are essential for alleviating the heat-induced inhibition of ETRPSII and for accelerating the heat-induced stimulation of ETRPSI, respectively. | 18 | A modified theta projection model for creep behavior of RPV steel 16MND5显示文摘During a hypothetical severe accident of light water reactors,the reactor pressure vessel(RPV) could fail due to its creep under the influence of high-temperature corium.Hence,modelling of creep behavior of the RPV is paramount to reactor safety analysis since it predicts the transition point of accident progression from in-vessel to ex-vessel phase.In the present study we proposed a new creep model for the classical French RPV steel 16 MND5,which is adapted from the 'theta-projection model' and contains all three stages of a creep process.Creep curves are expressed as a function of time with five model parameters θ_i(i=1-4 and m).A model parameter dataset was constructed by fitting experimental creep curves into this function.To correlate the creep curves for different temperatures and stress loads,we directly interpolate the model’s parameters θ_i(i=1-4 and m) from this dataset,in contrast to the conventional 'theta-projection model' which employs an extra single correlation for each θ_i(i=1-4 andm),to better accommodate all experimental curves over the wide ranges of temperature and stress loads.We also put a constraint on the trend of the creep strain that it would monotonically increase with temperature and stress load.A good agreement was achieved between each experimental creep curve and corresponding model’s prediction.The widely used time-hardening and strain-hardening models were performing reasonably well in the new method. | Peng Yu Weimin Ma | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,12: | 2 |

| 20 | Scalable synthesis of Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C with high safety and ultrahigh-rate performance for sodium-ion batteries显示文摘NASICON-type Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) is a promising electrode material for developing advanced sodium-ion batteries.Preparing Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) with good performance by a cost-effective and large-scale method is significant for industrial applications.In this work,a porous Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C cathode material with excellent electrochemical performance is successfully prepared by an agar-gel combined with freeze-drying method.The Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C cathode displayed specific capacities of 113.4 mAh·g^(-1),107.0 mAh·g^(-1) and 87.1 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.1 C,1 C and 10 C,respectively.For the first time,the 500-mAh soft-packed symmetrical sodium-ion batteries based on Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C electrodes are successfully fabricated.The 500-mAh symmetrical batteries exhibit outstanding low temperature performance with a capacity retention of 83%at 0℃ owing to the rapid sodium ion migration ability and structural stability of Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C.Moreover,the thermal runaway features are revealed by accelerating rate calorimetry(ARC)test for the first time.Thermal stability and safety of the symmetrical batteries are demonstrated to be better than lithium-ion batteries and some reported sodium-ion batteries.Our work makes it clear that the soft-packed symmetrical sodium ion batteries based on Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C have a prospect of practical application in high safety requirement fields. | Guijia Cui Hong Wang Fengping Yu Haiying Che Xiaozhen Liao Linsen Li Weimin Yang Zifeng Ma | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,6: | 2 |
