2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). The present guideline includes the underlying diseases of syncope in children and adolescents, the diagnostic procedures, methodology and clinical significance of standing test and headup tilt test, the clinical diagnosis vasovagal syncope, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, orthostatic hypotension and orthostatic hypertension, and the treatment of syncope as well as follow-up. | Cheng Wang Yaqi Li Ying Liao Hong Tian Min Huang Xiangyu Dong Lin Shi Jinghui Sun Hongfang Jin Junbao Du Jindou An Jie Chen Mingwu Chen Qi Chen Sun Chen Yonghong Chen Zhi Chen Adolphus Kai-tung Chau Junbao Du Zhongdong Du Junkai Duan Hongyu Duan Xiangyu Dong Lin Feng Lijun Fu Fangqi Gong Yonghao Gui Ling Han Zhenhui Han Bing He Zhixu He Xiufen Hu Yimin Hua Guoying Huang Min Huang Ping Huang Yujuan Huang Hongfang Jin Mei Jin Bo Li Fen Li Tao Li Xiaohui Li Xiaoyan Liu Yan Li Haitao Lv Tiewei Lv Zipu Li Luyi Ma Silin Pan Yusheng Pang Hua Peng Yuming Qin Jie Shen Lin Shi Kun Sun Jinghui Sun Hong Tian Jie Tian Cheng Wang Hong Wang Lei Wang Jinju Wang Wendi Wang Yuli Wang Rongzhou Wu Tianhe Xia Yanyan Xiao Chunhong Xie Yanlin Xing Zhenyu Xiong Baoyuan Xu Yi Xu Hui Yan Shiwei Yang Qijian Yi Xia Yu Xianyi Yu Yue Yuan Hongyan Zhang Huili Zhang Li Zhang Qingyou Zhang Xi Zhang Yanmin Zhang Zhiwei Zhang Cuifen Zhao Bin Zhou Hua Zhu | 2018 | Science Bulletin2018,63,23: | 54
Comparison of Xpert MTB/RIF, Real Amp, and CPA Tests in Detecting Mycobacterium tuberculosis显示文摘Today, tuberculosis (TB) remains a global public health threat associated with significantly high rates of morbidity and mortality. The World Health Organization's (WHO) Global Tuberculosis Report 2018[1] has reported that in 2017, 10.0 million people across the world had developed TB diseases that resulted in an estimated 1.6 million deaths, and 889, 000 people developed TB in China that led to 39, 000 TB-related deaths. Therefore, rapid and accurate detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) is important for initiating early treatment and reducing mortality. Traditional diagnostic methods for pulmonary TB incorporate chest radiography and sputum smear microscopy;however, several cases of tuberculosis go undiagnosed because of the low sensitivity of smear microscopy[2]. | OU Xi Chao LI Hui LIU Dong Xin XIA Hui MA Xiao Guang WANG Shao Hua WANG Sheng Fen ZHU Yan Kun ZHAO Bing ZHAO Yan Lin | 2019 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2019,32,3: | 9
Decreased Average Albumin-to-Globulin Ratio During Radiotherapy Worsens the Prognosis of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma:Implications for Nutritional Management显示文摘Objective Malnutrition and cachexia are common in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)patients undergoing radiotherapy. This study evaluated how malnutrition-and cachexia-related indicators, including the albumin-to-globulin ratio(AGR),and their changes during radiotherapy predict the treatment outcomes. Methods We reviewed a total of 172 ESCC patients receiving radiotherapy(as a primary cohort)and performed a Cox regression analysis on potential prognostic factors, including the AGR,as well as the TNM stage and concomitant chemotherapy.A subsequent receiver operating characteristics(ROC)curve and Kaplan Meier survival analysis was performed for ESCC patients stratified by the average AGR cut-off point. Results In addition to the well-documented factors(i.e.TNM stage and concomitant chemotherapy),the average AGR was a significant prognostic factor for ESCC patients receiving radiotherapy.By plotting the ROC curve of the average AGR with regard to the ESCC prognosis,we obtained cut-off points for the overall patients(cut-off point:1.5,AUC:0.636),for patients with stageⅡ/Ⅲdisease(cut-off point:1.5,AUC:0.611),and for patients with stageⅣdisease(cut-off point:1.84,AUC:0.900).The ESCC patients with higher average AGR had a significantly more favorable OS compared with those with a lower average AGR.Notably,ESCC patients who had an increasingΔAGR during radiotherapy had a considerably more favorable OS compared with those with a decreasingΔAGR.All of these findings were reproducible in the validation cohort. Conclusion A lower average AGR is indicative of a poorer prognosis for ESCC patients following radiotherapy.Improving the nutritional status and preventing or ameliorating cachexia might contribute to improving the prognosis of ESCC patients. | Fen Cai Xiu Lian Zhang Xiao Ling Wu Ting Ting Zhuang Lei Huang Yi Fei Tu Yuan Yuan Lu Min Xia Jiang Qing Ying Zhang Yan Lin Chang Chun Ma | 2021 | Journal of Nutritional Oncology2021,6,2: | 8
Association of Overlapped and Un-overlapped Comorbidities with COVID-19 Severity and Treatment Outcomes: A Retrospective Cohort Study from Nine Provinces in China显示文摘Objective Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains unclear. Methods A retrospective follow-up design was adopted. A total of 1,160 laboratory-confirmed patients were enrolled from nine provinces in China. Data on comorbidities were obtained from the patients’ medical records. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of the associations between comorbidities(cardiometabolic or non-cardiometabolic diseases), clinical severity, and treatment outcomes of COVID-19.Results Overall, 158(13.6%) patients were diagnosed with severe illness and 32(2.7%) had unfavorable outcomes. Hypertension(2.87, 1.30–6.32), type 2 diabetes(T2 DM)(3.57, 2.32–5.49),cardiovascular disease(CVD)(3.78, 1.81–7.89), fatty liver disease(7.53, 1.96–28.96), hyperlipidemia(2.15, 1.26–3.67), other lung diseases(6.00, 3.01–11.96), and electrolyte imbalance(10.40, 3.00–26.10)were independently linked to increased odds of being severely ill. T2 DM(6.07, 2.89–12.75), CVD(8.47,6.03–11.89), and electrolyte imbalance(19.44, 11.47–32.96) were also strong predictors of unfavorable outcomes. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease on admission(5.46,3.25–9.19), while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes(6.58, 1.46–29.64) within two weeks. Conclusion Besides hypertension, diabetes, and CVD, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, other lung diseases, and electrolyte imbalance were independent risk factors for COVID-19 severity and poor treatment outcome. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease, while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes. | MA Yan ZHU Dong Shan CHEN Ren Bo SHI Nan Nan LIU Si Hong FAN Yi Pin WU Gui Hui YANG Pu Ye BAI Jiang Feng CHEN Hong CHEN Li Ying FENG Qiao GUO Tuan Mao HOU Yong HU Gui Fen HU Xiao Mei HU Yun Hong HUANG Jin HUANG Qiu Hua HUANG Shao Zhen JI Liang JIN Hai Hao LEI Xiao LI Chun Yan LI Min Qing LI Qun Tang LI Xian Yong LIU Hong De LIU Jin Ping LIU Zhang MA Yu Ting MAO Ya MO Liu Fen NA Hui WANG Jing Wei SONG Fang Li SUN Sheng WANG Dong Ting WANG Ming Xuan WANG Xiao Yan WANG Yin Zhen WANG Yu Dong WU Wei WU Lan Ping XIAO Yan Hua XIE Hai Jun XU Hong Ming XU Shou Fang XUE Rui Xia YANG Chun YANG Kai Jun YUAN Sheng Li ZHANG Gong Qi ZHANG Jin Bo ZHANG Lin Song ZHAO Shu Sen ZHAO Wan Ying ZHENG Kai ZHOU Ying Chun ZHU Jun Teng ZHU Tian Qing ZHANG Hua Min WANG Yan Ping WANG Yong Yan 无 | 2020 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2020,33,12: | 8
Adsorption and Desorption Behavior of Tannic Acid in Aqueous Solution on Polyaniline Adsorbent显示文摘Tannic acid is generally considered as one of polyphenolic pollutants, which may cause severe threats to the environment. In this study, polyaniline adsorbent was synthesized by chemical oxidation to remove tannic acid in aqueous solutions. The adsorption amount of tannic acid varied greatly with pH of solution and strong adsorption was at pH 5.8-6.7. Coexisting cations, such as Na+, K+, and Ca2+, can enhance the adsorption of tannic acid on poly-aniline, which may be contributed to the electrostatic interaction between tannic acid and polyaniline. The adsorp-tion process could be well described by Langmuir model and the maximum adsorption capacity was 117.65 mg·g-1 at 35 ℃ and pH 6.0. The thermodynamic parameters calculated from the adsorption isotherms indicate that the ad-sorption of tannic acid is spontaneous and endothermic process. The polyaniline saturated with tannic acid can be desorbed in alkaline solution and regenerated adsorbent can be used repeatedly with high adsorption capacity, which implies that polyaniline adsorbents have a great potential in water purification for the removal of tannic acid. | WANG Jiahong JI Yan fen DING Shaolan MA Hongrui HAN Xiaojing | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2013,21,6: | 7
Post-marketing safety surveillance and reevaluation of Motherwort injection:A clinical study of 10094 cases显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the safety profiles of Motherwort injection(MI).METHODS:A multi-center,prospective and drugderived hospital intensive monitoring method was conducted to assess the safety of MI in real world applications. This study was based on a very large population after the injection was approved and marketed in China. All patients using the injection in participating hospitals were monitored to determine the incidence, pattern, severity and outcome of associated adverse events.RESULTS:The post-marketing surveillance was performed in 10 094 female patients from April to December,2015.The incidence of adverse drug reactions(ADRs) was 0.79‰(8/10 094).Among the 8 patients, the reported adverse events mainly included systemic abnormalities, such as fever, chills and eyelid edema;skin and appendages disorders, such as pruritus and rash;gastrointestinal disorders, such as nausea, abdominal distension and pain;heart rate and rhythm disorders, such as palpitation and increased heart rate. All of these ADRs were mild in severity.CONCLUSION:In this study the ADRs incidence rate of MI is very low, which supports that it is generally safe for use in obstetric and gynecological diseases. However, the total number of 8 ADRs recorded over a relatively short time span seems limited, and the low number of reports could not represent an absolute guarantee of safety. | Cao Shan Zhang Wenhao Zhao Ziwei Heng Mingli Bu Huaien Wang Hongwu Liu Xinghui Wang Zhong Cai Yan Ma Yuyan Cui Shihong Deng Jihong Ding Guifeng Ding Yajuan Dong Linhong Duan Zhentao Fan Ling Fan Yang Fu Fen He Jing Ji Shuying Jin Lin Li Hong Li Hongying Liao Tao Lu Wei Luo Xiucui Lü Zhihui Ma Fengchun Ma Dafeng Shi Tianyun Sun Juying Sun Xiaotong Teng Hong Wang Jinhua Wang Ruihua Wang Ying Wang Zhengling Xi Jie Xu Minjuan Xu Zhihong Yan Qian Yang Cuirong Yang Yimei Yin Jie Yu Jinhua Yuan Wenjun Zhang Guanli Zhang Meihua Zhao Renfeng Zhong Yonghong Zhou Jian | 2018 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2018,38,4: | 4

Cloning, expression and function of the extracellular fragment of human TRAIL gene显示文摘To obtain the recombinant soluble protein of the extracellular fragment of human TRAIL gene and to identify its function preliminarily, this gene fragment was amplified from peripheral blood mononu- clear cells(PBMC)by RT-PCR and cloned into vector pGEM-T-Easy for sequence analysis. The expres- sion vector pET-30a/TRAIL was then constructed by DNA recombination method with a His-tag gene at the front of the TRAIL fragment, and the recombinant protein was expressed in E.coli BL21(DE3). Meanwhile, the expressed target protein was purified with Ni-NTA chromatography column and identified by SDS-PAGE and Western blotting. The proliferation inhibition activity of TRAIL-His was detected by MTT assay.PI staining and Wright-Giemsa staining were used to detect the presence of the TRAIL-in- duced cell apoptosis. It was demonstrated that the target protein expressed in E.coli BL21 showed the same relative molecular mass as that the protein expected and could be recognized by both the anti-TRAIL polyclonal antibody and anti-His monoclonal antibody. In addition, this protein could also inhibit prolif- eration of human lymphoma cell line Jurkat cells or induce apoptosis of this cell line.It is apparent that a recombinant soluble TRAIL protein with biological activity is obtained and this prospective study can lay solid foundation for further research on the biological activity and application in the anti-tumor therapy. | Yu GANG WANG KUN PENG ZHAO Ju GAO CHEN YAN LI YUANG FANG MA BEI FEN SHEN | 2007 | Journal of Microbiology and Immunology2007,5,2: | 0
