| 1 | PI 3-kinase pathway is responsible for antiapoptotic effects of atrial natriuretic peptide in rat liver transplantation显示文摘AIM:To investigate the in vivo effect of atrial natriureticpeptide(ANP)and its signaling pathway during ortho-topic rat liver transplantation.METHODS:Rats were infused with NaCl,ANP(5 μg/kg),wortmannin(WM,16 μg/kg),or a combination ofboth for 20 min.Livers were stored in UW solution(4°C)for 24 h,transplanted and reperfused.Apoptosis wasexamined by caspase-3 activity and TUNEL staining.Phosphorylation of Akt and Bad was visualized by West-ern blotting and phospho-Akt-localization by confocalmicroscopy.RESULTS:ANP-pretreatment decreased caspase-3activity and TUNEL-positive cells after cold ischemia,indicating antiapoptotic effects of ANP in vivo.The an-tiapoptotic signaling of ANP was most likely caused byphosphorylation of Akt and Bad,since pretreatment withPI 3-kinase inhibitor WM abrogated the ANP-inducedreduction of caspase-3 activity.Interestingly,analysis ofliver tissue by confocal microscopy showed translocationof phosphorylated Akt to the plasma membrane of hepa-tocytes evoked by ANP.CONCLUSION:ANP activates the PI-3-kinase pathwayin the liver in vivo leading to phosphorylation of Bad, an event triggering antiapoptotic signaling cascade inischemic liver. | Uwe Grutzner Melanie Keller Michael Bach Alexandra K Kiemer Herbert Meissner Manfred Bilzer Stefan Zahler Alexander L Gerbes Angelika M Vollmar | 2006 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2006,12,7: | 3 |
| 2 | Examining effective use of data sources and modeling algorithms for improving biomass estimation in a moist tropical forest of the Brazilian Amazon显示文摘Previous research has explored the potential to integrate lidar and optical data in aboveground biomass(AGB)estimation,but how different data sources,vegetation types,and modeling algorithms influence AGB estimation is poorly understood.This research conducts a comparative analysis of different data sources and modeling approaches in improving AGB estimation.RapidEye-based spectral responses and textures,lidar-derived metrics,and their combination were used to develop AGB estimation models.The results indicated that(1)overall,RapidEye data are not suitable for AGB estimation,but when AGB falls within 50–150 Mg/ha,support vector regression based on stratification of vegetation types provided good AGB estimation;(2)Lidar data provided stable and better estimations than RapidEye data;and stratification of vegetation types cannot improve estimation;(3)The combination of lidar and RapidEye data cannot provide better performance than lidar data alone;(4)AGB ranges affect the selection of the best AGB models,and a combination of different estimation results from the best model for each AGB range can improve AGB estimation;(5)This research implies that an optimal procedure for AGB estimation for a specific study exists,depending on the careful selection of data sources,modeling algorithms,forest types,and AGB ranges. | Yunyun Feng Dengsheng Lu Qi Chena Michael Keller Emilio Moran Maiza Nara dos-Santos Edson Luis Bolfe Mateus Batistella | 2017 | International Journal of Digital Earth2017,10,10: | 2 |

Therefore, High Impact Weather Project (HIWeather), a 10-year research project (http://gffzz72c37a797ca44d97sc0w00nvqbk9u6w0b.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/en/resources/buHetin/hiweather-10-yearresearch- project), was established in 2016 by WM0 (World Meteorology Organization) WWRP (World Weather Research Program: http://gffzz74e393fd09b145d8sc0w00nvqbk9u6w0b.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/pages/prog/arep/wwrp/new/wwrp_new_en. html). HIWeather aimed at achieving dramatic improvements in the effectiveness of weather-related hazard warnings, following recent advancement in numerical weather prediction at km-scale and in disaster risk reduction. The implementation plan was developed under the concept of warning chain, which comprises all components and the connections between to a successful weather-hazards warning: observations, weather forecast, hazard forecast, impact forecast, the generation of warnings and decision making (Fig. 1). A successful warning relies on information produced by the meteorological and related physical sciences, thus its effectiveness of delivery depends on applications of social, behavioral and economic sciences.
