| 1 | A New Method for Sorting Unknown Radar Emitter Signal显示文摘Sorting rate of common method is not high and it is sensitive to the Signal noise ratio(SNR), in order to solve these problems, bispectrum two dimensions characteristics complexity is applied to sort unknown complicated radar signal and a high sorting rate would be got. The bispectrum of received signal is extracted and it is predigested to two dimensions characteristic, the box dimension and information dimension are extracted from the two dimensions characteristic and used as the sorting characteristics, and the last sorting is accomplished by using KFCM algorithm. | 3 | Risk assessment on the epidemics of human infection with a novel avian influenza A (H7N9) virus in Jiangsu Province, China显示文摘A novel avian influenza A (H7N9) virus was discovered in February 2013 in China and has resulted in more than 100 comfirmed human infections including 26 fatal cases as of May 2, 2013. The situation raises many urgent questions and global public health concerns. In this study, epidemiologic characteristics of infected human cases in Jiangsu province were analyzed and risk assessment was undertaken based on the information available. Briefly, it is highly unlikely that a pandemic of human infection with avian influenza A (H7N9) virus will happen in Jiangsu Province in the near future. | 6 | Enhanced production of seed oil with improved fatty acid composition by overexpressing NAD^(+)-dependent glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase in soybean显示文摘There is growing interest in expanding the production of soybean oils(mainly triacylglycerol, or TAG) to meet rising feed demand and address global energy concerns. We report that a plastidlocalized glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase(GPDH), encoded by GmGPDHp1 gene, catalyzes the formation of glycerol-3-phosphate(G3 P), an obligate substrate required for TAG biosynthesis.Overexpression of GmGPDHp1 increases soybean seed oil content with high levels of unsaturated fatty acids(FAs), especially oleic acid(C18:1), without detectably affecting growth or seed protein content or seed weight. Based on the lipidomic analyses, we found that the increase in G3 P content led to an elevated diacylglycerol(DAG) pool, in which the Kennedy pathwayderived DAG was mostly increased, followed by PC-derived DAG, thereby promoting the synthesis of TAG containing relatively high proportion of C18:1. The increased G3 P levels induced several transcriptional alterations of genes involved in the glycerolipid pathways. In particular, genes encoding the enzymes responsible for de novo glycerolipid synthesis were largely upregulated in the transgenic lines, in-line with the identified biochemical phenotype. | 8 | Methylesterification of cell-wall pectin controls the diurnal flower-opening times in rice显示文摘Flowers are the core reproductive organ of plants, and flowering is essential for cross-pollination. Diurnal flower-opening time is thus a key trait influencing reproductive isolation, hybrid breeding, and thermostability in plants. However, the molecular mechanisms controlling this trait remain unknown. Here, we report that rice Diurnal Flower Opening Time 1 (DFOT1) modulates pectin methylesterase (PME) activity to regulate pectin methylesterification levels of the lodicule cell walls, which affect lodicule swelling to control diurnal flower-opening time. DFOT1 is specifically expressed in the lodicules, and its expression gradually increases with the approach to flowering but decreases with flowering. Importantly, a knockout of DFOT1 showed earlier diurnal flower opening. We demonstrate that DFOT1 interacts directly with multiple PMEs to promote their activity. Knockout of PME40 also resulted in early diurnal flower opening, whereas overexpression of PME42 delayed diurnal flower opening. Lower PME activity was observed to be associated with higher levels of pectin methylesterification and the softening of cell walls in lodicules, which contribute to the absorption of water by lodicules and cause them to swell, thus promoting early diurnal flower opening. Higher PME activity had the opposite effect. | 16 | Floating Escherichia coli by Expressing Cyanobacterial Gas Vesicle Genes显示文摘Gas vesicles are hollow, air-filled polyprotein structures that provide the buoyancy to cells. They are found in a variety of prokaryotes. In this study, we isolated a partial gas vesicle protein gene cluster containing gvp A and gvp C20Ψ from Planktothrix rubescens, and inserted it into an expression vector and expressed it in E. coli. The gas vesicle was developed in bacterial cells, which made bacterial cells to float on medium surface. We also amplified gvp A and gvp C20Ψ separately and synthesized an artificial operon by fusing these two genes with the standardized gene expression controlling elements of E. coli. The artificial operon was expressed in E. coli, forming gas vesicles and floating bacteria cells. Our findings verified that the whole set of genes and the overall structure of gas vesicle gene cluster are not necessary for developing gas vesicles in bacteria cells. Two genes, gvp A and gvp C20Ψ, of the gas vesicle gene cluster are sufficient for synthesizing an artificial operon that can develop gas vesicles in bacteria cells. | 19 | EBSD investigation of the crystallographic features of deformation-induced martensite in stainless steel显示文摘Variant selection during the martensitic transformation in steels may play an important role in determining the transformation kinetics and the resulting mechanical properties.In this study,the variant selection and crystallographic features of deformation-induced martensite were investigated by quasi in situ electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD) in grade SUS321 during tensile deformation.Significant differences in variant selection between austenite(γ)→hcp-martensite(ε)→bcc-martensite(α’) and γ→α’transformation routes were observed and reported in detail,which demonstrated that s-martensite plays an important role in the variant selection of α’.Variant selection at diffe rent deformation stages was also analysed and revealed that α’ variants with the highest priority and variant pairs were preferred at the initial and last deformation stages in the γ→ε→α’sequence,respectively.Meanwhile,the single α’ variant nucleated at the thin slip band keeps its crystallography feature upon further deformation in the γ→α’sequence.In addition,the strain work of the martensitic transformation for applied loads was quantitatively estimated to explain the variant selection and associated mechanism.When these calculations are compared to the experimental results it is found that they are not able to predict which α’ variant is forming pre ferentially during either during the γ→α’ or the ε→α’ sequences,while only accurate predictions are obtained for the γ→ε-transformation which indicates that the γ→α’ variant selection is more complex. | Jinliang Wang Minghao Huang Jun Hu Chenchong Wang Wei Xu | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,10: | 0 |
