| 2 | Leakage research on supercritical carbon dioxide fluid in rolling piston expander显示文摘The leakage research on supercritical carbon dioxide fluid in rolling piston expander was investigated experimentally.Using expander instead of throttle valve is an important way to improve the efficiency of carbon dioxide refrigeration system.However,the supercritical fluid leakage in expander is serious and is the main factor affecting the expander's efficiency.This paper presented and compared four classic leakage models.The analysis indicated that laminar leakage model is suitable in leakage simulation of expander.A leakage test system,including the leakage test part which has two types of leakage specimens with different gaps ranging from 5 to 15 m,was established.The experimental results indicated that lubricant film played an important role.When the leakage clearance of cylindrical specimen was 5 m,the mass flow rate of leakage was about 0.88 g s-1.The data was 3.638 g s-1 with leakage clearance being 10 m and 7.11g s-1 with leakage clearance being 15 m.A modified leakage model was developed,whose average deviation was within 10% compared with the experimental data.At last,this paper simulated the leakage in rolling piston expander presented by Tian et al.(2010).The leakage between rolling piston and cylinder was the most serious part with the value up to 0.04 kg s-1. | TIAN Hua MA YiTai LI MinXia LIU ShengChun WANG KaiYang | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,6: | 3 |

| 4 | Spray-drying assisted layer-structured H_(2)TiO_(3) ion sieve synthesis and lithium adsorption performance显示文摘A spray-drying assisted solid-state method to prepare spherical layer-structured H_(2)TiO_(3) ion sieve(LSTIS)particles is reported herein.The effects of synthesis parameters(calcination temperature,calcination time,and the lithium-titanium molar ratio)on adsorption-desorption performance(the delithiation ratio,titanium dissolution loss,and the adsorption capacity)were investigated.The as-prepared LSTIS exhibited an equilibrium adsorption capacity of 30.08 mg·g^(-1)(average of 25.85 mg·g^(-1) over 5 cycles)and ultra-low titanium dissolution loss of less than 0.12%(average of 0.086%over 5 cycles).The LSTIS showed excellent selectivity toward Li^(+) in Na^(+),K^(+),Mg^(2+),and Ca^(2+) coexisting saline solutions where its adsorption capacity reached 27.45 mg·g^(-1) and the separation factors of Li^(+) over the coexisting cations exceeded 100.The data suggests that the LSTIS is promising to competitively enrich Li^(+) from saline solutions. | Minxia Liu Dang Wu Dongling Qin Gang Yang | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,5: | 3 |
| 5 | The Integration of Farmers and Nomads: Archaeological Evidence for the Human Subsistence Strategy in Northwestern China during the Han Dynasty显示文摘The integration of farmers and nomads in northwestern China during the Han Dynasty(206 BCE ~ 220 CE) provides a crucial opportunity to reconstruct the material exchanges, formation and development of the Silk Road in antiquity. The subsistence strategy is arguably an effective proxy for the integration of various groups of people(e.g. farmers and nomads). In this paper, we have reported new stable isotope data from the Huangwan tombs dated to the Han dynasty in middle Gansu, which was the key juncture between the Han and Xiongnu empire, in order to fill the gap and further understand the substance strategies employed by the local people. According to the results of plant remains and stable isotopic data, millet farming, the typical agricultural activities for the Han Chinese in the Central Plains, was also the primary lifestyle for the Huangwan people in the mid Gansu. More importantly, this shows fundamentally remarkable difference from the agricultural practices in the Bronze Age Gansu Corridor, which were based on a variety of crops, including wheat, barley and millet. | 13 | Growth of nitrate contribution to aerosol pollution during wintertime in Xi'an,northwest China:Formation mechanism and effects of NH_(3)显示文摘With the strengthened controls on SO2 emissions and extensive increases in motor vehicles'exhaust,aerosol pollution shifts from sulfate-rich to nitrate-rich in recent years in Xi'an,China.To further gain insights into the factors on nitrate formation and efficiently mitigate air pollution,highly time-resolved observations of water-soluble inorganic ions(WSIIs)in PM_(2.5) were measured in a suburban area of Xi'an,China during wintertime.Hourly concentration of total WSIIs is 39.8μg m-3 on average,accounting for 50.3%of PM_(2.5) mass.In contrast to a slight decrease in the mass fraction of SO42-,NO_(3)-shows a sig-nificant increase of the PM_(2.5) contribution with the aggravation of aerosol pollution.This suggests the importance of NO_(3)-formation to haze evolution.Furthermore,homogeneous reactions govern the formation of NO_(3)-,while alkali metals such as calcium and sodium play an additional role in retaining NO_(3)-in PM_(2.5) during clean periods.However,the heterogeneous hydrolysis reaction contributed more to NO_(3)-formation during the pollution periods under high relative humidity.Our investigation reveals that temperature,relative humidity,oxidant,and ammonia emissions facilitate rapid NO_(3)-formation.Using the random forest(RF)model,NO_(3)-concentrations were successfully simulated with measured variables for the training and testing datasets(R2>0.95).Among these variables,CO,NH_(3),and N02 were found to be the main factors affecting the NO_(3)-concentrations.Compared with the period without vehicle re-striction,the contributions of NO_(3)-and NH4+to PM_(2.5) mass decreased by 5.3%and 3.4%in traffic re-striction periods,respectively.The vehicle restriction leads to the decreases of precursor gases of NO2,SO2,and NH_(3) by 12.8%,5.9%,and 27.6%,respectively.The results demonstrate collaborative emission reduction of NOx and NH_(3) by vehicle restrictions,and using new energy vehicles(or electric vehicles)can effectively alleviate particulate matter pollution in northwest China. | Hui Su Ting Zhang Suixin Liu Yao Qu Huan Li Jiamao Zhou Zhuzi Zhao Qiyuan Wang Lu Li Minxia Shen Shuoyuan Chen Steven Sai Hang Ho Junji Cao | 2024 | Particuology2024,87,4: | 0 |

| 17 | Protective effects of Longhu Rendan on chronic liver injury and fibrosis in mice显示文摘Background and aim:Liver fibrosis resulting from persistent liver injury represents a major healthcare problem globally.Traditional Chinese medicine has played an essential role in the treatment of liver fibrosis in recent years.Thus,this study aims to assess the effect of Longhu Rendan(LHRD),a Chinese traditional patent medicine,on liver fibrosis and its potential mechanism.Methods:The liver fibrosis in mice was induced via the intraperitoneal injection of carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)for 6 weeks or bile duct ligation for 15 days.Various methods were used to judge the therapeutic effect of LHRD.Results:LHRD significantly suppressed the activity of serum index of abnormal liver function,liver cell apoptosis,and necrosis,attenuating liver injury.Moreover,LHRD treatment alleviated liver fibrotic features,such as the reduction of collagen deposition and hepatic stellate cell activation as well as profibrotic gene expression.Mechanistically,LHRD treatment inhibited nuclear transcription factorkappa B signaling and inflammatory gene expression and diminished the production of reactive oxygen species and 4-hydroxynonenal,along with the downregulation of NADPH oxidase 4.Conclusions:Overall,the present study demonstrates that LHRD ameliorates liver injury and fibrosis via the inhibition of inflammation and oxidative stress in mice,indicating that LHRD is a potential medicine for the treatment of liver fibrosis. | Guizhi Yang Shengwen Li Jiahua Jin Yuanyuan Xuan Liqin Ding Minxia Huang Jun Liu Biye Wang Tian Lan | 2022 | Liver Research2022,6,2: | 0 |
| 18 | Dispersal of crop-livestock and geographical-temporal variation of subsistence along the Steppe and Silk Roads across Eurasia in prehistory显示文摘The innovations of agricultural production and their extensive dispersal promoted the transformation of human livelihoods and profoundly influenced the evolution of human-land relationships in late prehistoric Eurasia.The Steppe and Silk Roads(SSRs)played important roles in the transcontinental exchange and dispersal of cereal crops and livestock related to agricultural innovation across Eurasia before the Han Dynasty(202 BC to AD 220),while the geographical-temporal variations in prehistoric subsistence in relation to the spread and exchange of cereal crops and livestock originating from different areas of Eurasia still remain unclear.In this paper,we explore these issues based on the review and analysis of published archaeobotanical,zooarchaeological,and carbon-stable isotope data from human bones from Neolithic-Early Iron Age sites in areas along the SSRs,with a comparison to updated results based on radiocarbon dating and ancient DNA analyses.Our results suggest that humans engaged in hunting game,while foxtail/broomcorn millet cultivation gradually became the primary subsistence strategy in Eastern SSRs from 10,500 to 6000 a BP.In contemporaneous Western SSRs,humans mainly cultivated wheat/barley and raised sheep/goats,cattle,and pigs.Trans-Eurasian exchange,which is reflected by the mixed utilization of wheat/barley and millet,emerged in the south-central Steppe during 6000–4000 a BP,while millet cultivation and pig husbandry became the dominant livelihoods in most areas of Eastern SSRs.During 4000–2200 a BP,Silk Roads became the major passageway for trans-Eurasian exchange,the interactive development of oasis agriculture and pastoralism facilitated intensive human settlement in the Central Silk Roads,and subsistence strategies substantially changed with significant geographical differences in Eastern SSRs,while subsistence in some areas of Western SSRs was evidently affected by the introduction and adoption of millet crops after 3000 a BP.The geographical-temporal variations in subsistence in the SSRs from the Neolithic to Early Iron Age were primarily affected by the prehistoric dispersal of farming groups across Eurasia,which was accompanied by the spread of cereal crops/livestock,while the impacts of climate change still need to be further evaluated. | Guanghui DONG Linyao DU Liu YANG Minxia LU Menghan QIU Haiming LI Minmin MA Fahu CHEN | 2022 | Science China Earth Sciences2022,65,7: | 0 |
| 19 | Distribution and ecological risk assessment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in different compartments in Kenya:A review显示文摘PAHs are one of the environmental contaminants of greatest concern on global scales due to their ecological risk.This study collected the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon(PAH)concentration data of six different media in Kenya and evaluated their ecological risk assessment.Twenty-five literatures related to PAHs pollution in Kenya were found to conduct a meta-analysis.Our meta-analysis shows that the geometric means of PAH pollution in water(481.49 ng L^(-1)),sediment(519.15 ng g^(-1))t,soil(337.46 ng g^(-1)),air(38.60 ng m^(-3)),food(33.12 ng g^(-1)),and other(111,176.90 ng g^(-1))six media in Kenya had different degrees.The primary sources were combustion sources.A small number of PAHs are petroleum sources.A variety of methods were used to assess the ecological risk of PAHs in different media in Kenya,and we used a tiered approach to assess the ecological risk of water.The risk assessment result showed that the high contamination of Acenaphthylene and Acenaphthelene found in water in Kenya may pose certain ecological risks,which requires necessary measures.The concentration of Benzo[k]fluoranthene in sediment and the concentration of carcinogenic PAHs in soil can also cause the ecological risks,which should be paid more attention.In light of the PAH contamination in various media found in Kenya in the study,further detailed studies should be carried out to provide a more detailed analysis of the distribution of PAHs in Kenya to prevent the severe impact of PAHs contamination in Kenya and Africa. | Shuxin Liang Xue Yan Bangshuo An Yuyi Yang Minxia Liu | 2022 | Emerging Contaminants2022,8,1: | 0 |
