2Boundary-representable partition of unity for image magnification显示文摘This paper proposes a simple yet efective algorithm to magnify 2D/3D images with preserving discontinuities of intensity.Our algorithm is based on the partition of unity(PU)approximation,which ofers many advantages such as smooth representation,noise-robustness,and precise representation.Unfortunately,PU encounters difculties when scaling images and maintaining boundaries within images owing to the nature of its approximation.To overcome this problem,we propose an approximation that preserves discontinuities.This is realized by dividing the local spherical support of PU into two parts along a locally detected discontinuity and by individually approximating intensities on each side of the discontinuity.This algorithm is suitable for magnifying a variety of images,including scanned documents,pictures,and CT-scanned images.To demonstrate the efectiveness of the proposed method,we show some experimental results for 2D/3D images.NAGAI Yukie OHTAKE Yutaka YOKOTA Hideo SUZUKI Hiromasa 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,11:1

7Field-deployable rapid multiple biosensing system for detection of chemical and biological warfare agents显示文摘The threat of biological and chemical terror acts remains a growing worldwide concern.There is therefore a need to develop appropriate technology for the detection of chemical and biological warfare agents,with early identification intended for use by first responders.Here,we disclose the developed autonomous air sampling and detection system for evaluation of the presence of chemical and biological warfare agents that can be harmful to the population.The current device utilizes the designed mist generator-assisted air collection system(338 l min^(−1))and biosensing chip technologies,such as electrochemical measurement,Au nanoparticle-based localized surface plasmon resonance,and rapid microfluidic chip PCR for detection of minute concentrations lower than the mean lethal dose(LD_(50))of nerve gases(sarin and VX),toxic proteins(BTX/A/Hc and ricin),and pathogens(anthrax simulant).An operation time of only 5–15 min is needed for the collection and detection;sample preparation is already integrated into the system without the need for direct human intervention.In addition to the system’s sensitivity and ease of use,its portability makes it highly beneficial for first responders,which could aid in immediate risk assessment and mitigation of on-site events.Masato Saito Natsuko Uchida Shunsuke Furutani Mizuho Murahashi Wilfred Espulgar Naoki Nagatani Hidenori Nagai Yuki Inoue Tomohiko Ikeuchi Satoshi Kondo Hirotaka Uzawa Yasuo Seto Eiichi Tamiya 2018Microsystems & Nanoengineering2018,4,1:1
