2Help from space:grant-free massive access for satellite-based IoT in the 6G era显示文摘The Sixth-Generation(6G)standard for wireless communications is expected to realize ubiquitous coverage for massive Internet of Things(IoT)networks by 2030.Satellite-based communications are recognized as a highly promising technical enabler to satisfy IoT service requirements in the 6G era.This study analyzes multiple access technologies,which are essential for the effective deployment of satellite-based IoT.First,we thoroughly investigate the existing research related to massive access,including information-theory considerations as well as Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access(NOMA)and Random Access(RA)technologies.Then,we explore the influence of the satellite transmission environment on multiple access technologies.Based on this study,a Non-orthogonal Massive Grant-Free Access(NoMaGFA)scheme,which reaps the joint benefits of RA and NOMA,is proposed for asynchronous transmissions in satellite-based IoT to achieve improved system throughput and enhance the system robustness under varying traffics.Finally,we identify some important and interesting future developments for satellite-based IoT,including waveform design,transceiver design,resource allocation,and artificial intelligence-enhanced design.Neng Ye Jihong Yu Aihua Wang Rongrong Zhang 2022Digital Communications and Networks2022,8,2:3
3Target alignment in the Shen-Guang Ⅱ Upgrade laser facility显示文摘The Shen-Guang II Upgrade(SG-Ⅱ-U) laser facility consists of eight high-power nanosecond laser beams and one shortpulse picosecond petawatt laser. It is designed for the study of inertial confinement fusion(ICF), especially for conducting fast ignition(FI) research in China and other basic science experiments. To perform FI successfully with hohlraum targets containing a golden cone, the long-pulse beam and cylindrical hohlraum as well as the short-pulse beam and cone target alignment must satisfy tight specifications(30 and 20 μm rms for each case). To explore new ICF ignition targets with six laser entrance holes(LEHs), a rotation sensor was adapted to meet the requirements of a three-dimensional target and correct beam alignment. In this paper, the strategy for aligning the nanosecond beam based on target alignment sensor(TAS) is introduced and improved to meet requirements of the picosecond lasers and the new six LEHs hohlraum targets in the SG-II-U facility. 5Design and performance of final optics assembly in SG-ⅡUpgrade laser facility显示文摘In high power laser facility for inertial confinement fusion research, final optics assembly(FOA) plays a critical role in the frequency conversion, beam focusing, color separation, beam sampling and debris shielding. The design and performance of FOA in SG-II Upgrade laser facility are mainly introduced here. Due to the limited space and short focal length, a coaxial aspheric wedged focus lens is designed and applied in the FOA configuration. Then the ghost image analysis,the focus characteristic analysis, the B integral control design and the optomechanical design are carried out in the FOA design phase. 6Analysis of irregular repetition spatially-coupled slotted ALOHA显示文摘Contention-based access is a promising technology for massive and sporadic transmissions. In this paper, we propose a novel contention-based multiple access scheme, named irregular repetition spatiallycoupled slotted ALOHA(IRSC-SA), motivated by the spatial coupling and irregular repetition techniques.There are different classes of users and slots in IRSC-SA, which result in unequal protection for different users. 7Gelatin encapsulation of chloropicrin and 1,3-dichloropropene as fumigants for soilborne diseases in the greenhouse cultivation of cucumber and tomato显示文摘Combined use of chloropicrin(Pic) and 1,3-dicloropropene(1,3-D) is as effective as methyl bromide(MB) at controlling soilborne diseases in many trials and commercial uses. However, Pic and 1,3-D are both highly volatile and may pose strong exposure risks to humans and the environment. A gelatin capsule formulation containing Pic and 1,3-D has been developed to reduce exposure risks to workers and bystanders and improved application safety. We conducted two experiments in tomato and cucumber greenhouses located in Beijing and Qingdao, China, to study the efficacy of Pic plus 1,3-D gelatin capsules applied at different dosages and soil depths. Results indicated that both injection and gelatin capsules of Pic plus 1,3-D provided good control of soil nematodes and reduced disease index of Fusarium wilt and root-knot nematode. Plant yield of tomato and cucumber treated with gelatin capsules was similar to MB treatment. Based on our results, gelatin capsules applied at a soil depth of 15 cm provided better control of soilborne diseases and led to higher fruit yield compared to an application depth of 5 cm. 8Egg rejection based on egg size recognition as a specific strategy against parasitic cuckoos显示文摘In the coevolutionary interactions between avian brood parasites and their hosts,egg recognition based on color and/or pattern is a common and effective defense to counter parasitism.However,for egg recognition based on size,only a few studies have found affirmative results,and they do not provide unambiguous evidence that egg size recognition in hosts has evolved as an important and specific anti-parasite adaptation against parasite eggs.We studied the brood parasite system between the Asian emerald cuckoo Chrysococcyx maculatus and its host,the chestnut-crowned warbler Phylloscopus castaniceps.The cuckoo parasitizes the warbler using non-mimetic and larger eggs at a parasitism rate of 12.9%.The warbler nests used in this experiment were built in a dark environment with the nest illuminance near 0 lux.Experiments with 2 types of model eggs with colors and patterns resembling cuckoo eggs of different sizes(cuckoo egg size or host egg size)showed that the warblers were able to reject 63.6%of cuckoo model eggs under these dim light conditions.However,model eggs with the same color and pattern similar to the warbler egg size were always accepted.This study provides strong evidence supporting the theory that egg size recognition can be evolved in hosts as a specific anti-parasite adaptation against cuckoos.We suggest that the egg size recognition of the warbler is an outcome of the tradeoff between the costs of violating the parental investment rule and suffering cuckoo parasitism.Ping Ye Yan Cai Neng Wu Xiaogang Yao Guangrong Li Wei Liang Canchao Yang 2023Current Zoology2023,69,2:0
9Amorphous Sn modified nitrogen-doped porous carbon nanosheets with rapid capacitive mechanism for highcapacity and fast-charging lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Sn-based materials are considered as a kind of potential anode materials for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)owing to their high theoretical capacity.However,their use is limited by large volume expansion deriving from the lithiation/delithiation process.In this work,amorphous Sn modified nitrogen-doped porous carbon nanosheets(ASnNPCNs)are obtained.The synergistic effect of amorphous Sn and high edge-nitrogendoped level porous carbon nanosheets provides ASn-NPCNs with multiple advantages containing abundant defect sites,high specific surface area(214.9 m^(2)·g^(−1)),and rich hierarchical pores,which can promote the lithium-ion storage.Serving as the LIB anode,the as-prepared ASn-NPCNs-750 electrode exhibits an ultrahigh capacity of 1643 mAh·g^(−1) at 0.1 A·g^(−1),ultrafast rate performance of 490 mAh·g^(−1) at 10 A·g^(−1),and superior long-term cycling performance of 988 mAh·g^(−1) at 1 A·g^(−1) after 2000 cycles with a capacity retention of 98.9%.Furthermore,the in-depth electrochemical kinetic test confirms that the ultrahigh-capacity and fast-charging performance of the ASn-NPCNs750 electrode is ascribed to the rapid capacitive mechanism.These impressive results indicate that ASn-NPCNs-750 can be a potential anode material for high-capacity and fast-charging LIBs.Chong Xu Guang Ma Wang Yang Sai Che Neng Chen Ni Wu Bo Jiang Ye Wang Yankun Sun Sijia Liao Jiahao Yang Xiang Li Guoyong Huang Yongfeng Li 2023Frontiers of Materials Science2023,17,3:0

11Dehydration melting of amphibolite at 1.5 GPa and 800–950C:Implications for the Mesozoic potassium-rich adakite in the eastern North China Craton显示文摘Mesozoic intermediate-felsic magmatic rocks in the eastern North China Craton commonly show geochemical similarity to adakites.However,the lack of direct constraints from partial melting experiments at high pressures and temperatures fuels a debate over the origin of these rocks.In this work,we performed partial melting experiments at 1.5 GPa and 800–950℃on amphibolite samples collected from the vicinity of the Mesozoic potassium-rich adakitic rocks in the Zhangjiakou area,northern margin of the North China Craton.The experimental melts range from granitic to granodioritic compositions,with SiO_(2)=56.4–72.6 wt.%,Al_(2)O_(3)=16.1–19.3 wt.%,FeO^(*)=2.4–9.6 wt.%,MgO=0.3–2.0 wt.%,CaO=0.6–3.8 wt.%,Na_(2)O=4.7–5.3 wt.%,and K_(2)O=2.6–3.9 wt.%,which are in the ranges of the surrounding Mesozoic potassium-rich adakitic rocks,except for the higher Al_(2)O_(3)contents and the data point at 1.5 GPa and 800℃.Trace element compositions of the melts measured by LA-ICP-MS are rich in Sr(849–1067 ppm)and light rare earth elements(LREEs)and poor in Y(<10.4 ppm)and Yb(<0.88 ppm),and have high Sr/Y(102–221)and(La/Yb)n(27–41)ratios and strongly fractionated rare earth element(REE)patterns,whereas no obvious negative Eu anomalies are observed.The geochemical characteristics show overall similarity to the Mesozoic potassium-rich adakitic rocks in the area,especially adakites with low Mg#,again except for the data point at 1.5 GPa and 800℃.The results suggest that partial melting of amphibolite can produce potassium-rich adakitic rocks with low Mg#in the eastern North China Craton under the experimental conditions of 1.5 GPa and 850–950℃.The experimental restites consist of hornblende(Hbl)+plagioclase(Pl)+garnet(Grt)±clinopyroxene(Cpx),a mineral assemblage significantly different from that of the nearby Hannuoba mafic granulite xenoliths which consist of Cpx+orthopyroxene(Opx)+Pl±Grt.Chemically,the experimental restites contain higher Al_(2)O_(3)but lower MgO and CaO than the Hannuoba mafic granulite xenoliths.We therefore argue that the Hannuoba mafic granulite xenoliths cannot represent the direct products of partial melting of the experimental amphibolite.Zhilin Ye Fang Wan Neng Jiang Jingui Xu Yuanyun Wen Dawei Fan Wenge Zhou 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,2:0
12In Situ Generation of N-Heteroaromatic Polymers:Metal-Free Multicomponent Polymerization for Photopatterning,Morphological Imaging,and Cr(Ⅵ)Sensing显示文摘Electron-deficient N-heteroaromatic polymers are crucial for the high-tech applications of organicmaterials,especially in the electronic and optoelectronic fields.Thus,the development of new polymerizations to afford adaptable electron-donating-accepting scaffolds in N-heteroaromatic polymers is in high demand.Herein,we have developed metal-free multicomponent polymerizations of diynes,diamines,and glyoxylates successfully for in situ generation of poly(quinoline)s with high molecular weights(Mw up to 16,900)in nearly quantitative yields.By tuning the electron distributions of the polymer backbones,the resulting poly(quinoline)s showed various aggregation-induced behaviors and photoresponsive abilities:The thin films of the poly(quinoline)s could be fabricated readily intowell-resolved photopatterns by photolithography techniques.They could be utilized as fluorescent probes to visualize themorphologies of polymer materials directly;these include spherulites and microphase separation of polymer blends.Their nanoparticles demonstrated sensitive and highly selective fluorescence quenching to hexavalent chromium ion Cr(Ⅵ),thereby providing access for biological imaging of Cr(Ⅵ)in unicellular algae.Yubing Hu Neng Yan Xiaolin Liu Lingyu Pei Canbin Ye Wen-Xiong Wang Jacky W.Y.Lam Ben Zhong Tang 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,7:0
