3Climate change regionalization in China(1961–2010)显示文摘Since climatic condition is the important foundation for human subsistence and development and the key factor in sustainable development of economy and society, climate change has been a global issue attracting great attentions of politicians, scientists, governments, and the public alike throughout the world. Existing climate regionalization in China aims to characterize the regional differences in climate based on years of the mean value of different climate indexes. However, with the accelerating climate change nowadays, existing climate regionalization cannot represent the regional difference of climate change, nor can it reflect the disasters and environmental risks incurred from climate changes. This paper utilizes the tendency value and fluctuation value of temperature and precipitation from 1961 to 2010 to identify the climate change quantitatively, and completes the climate change regionalization in China(1961–2010) with county administrative regionalization as the unit in combination with China's terrain feature. 9Alfalfa-containing diets alter luminal microbiota structure and short chain fatty acid sensing in the caecal mucosa of pigs显示文摘Background: Pork produced by outdoor-reared pigs raised mostly on alfalfa pastures attracts increasing population of consumer from most of the world. In China, pigs were raised with alfalfa-containing diets to seek for good quality pork.However, the influence of dietary alfalfa involving high level of insoluble dietary fiber(IDF) on pig intestinal luminal microbiota composition remains unclear. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of alfalfa on luminal microbiota and short chain fatty acids(SCFA) production, and gene expressions involved in SCFA sensing, transporting and absorbing in pig caecal mucosa.Results: Twenty-four growing pigs were randomly allotted to four diets containing 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% alfalfa meal for a 28-d experiment. Ingestion of alfalfa meal-contained diets significantly increased the ratio of body weight gain to feed consumption. Illumina MiS eq sequencing of the V3 region of the 16 S r RNA genes showed that alfalfa-containing diet significantly decreased the relative abundance of genera Turicibacter, Acidiphilium, Paracoccus, Propionibacterium,Corynebacterium, Pseudomonas, Acinetobacter, and Staphylococcus, and increased the relative abundance of genera Lachnospira, Marvinbryantia, and Desulfovibrio in the caecal digesta. Butyrate concentration was significantly increased in the hindgut by the supplementation of alfalfa meal in diets. 11Puerarin ameliorated pressure overload-induced cardiac hypertrophy in ovariectomized rats through activation of the PPARα/PGC-1 pathway显示文摘Estrogen deficiency induces cardiac dysfunction and increases the risk of cardiovascular disease in postmenopausal women and in those who underwent bilateral oophorectomy.Previous evidence suggests that puerarin,a phytoestrogen,exerts beneficial effects on cardiac function in patients with cardiac hypertrophy.In this study,we investigated whether puerarin could prevent cardiac hypertrophy and remodeling in ovariectomized,aortic-banded rats.Female SD rats subjected to bilateral ovariectomy(OVX)plus abdominal aortic constriction(AAC).The rats were treated with puerarin(50 mg·kg^(−1)·d^(−1),ip)for 8 weeks.Then echocardiography was assessed,and the rats were sacrificed,their heart tissues were extracted and allocated for further experiments.We showed that puerarin administration significantly attenuated cardiac hypertrophy and remodeling in AAC-treated OVX rats,which could be attributed to activation of PPARα/PPARγcoactivator-1(PGC-1)pathway.Puerarin administration significantly increased the expression of estrogen-related receptorα,nuclear respiratory factor 1,and mitochondrial transcription factor A in hearts.Moreover,puerarin administration regulated the expression of metabolic genes in AAC-treated OVX rats.Hypertrophic changes could be induced in neonatal rat cardiomyocytes(NRCM)in vitro by treatment with angiotensin Ⅱ(Ang Ⅱ,1μM),which was attenuated by co-treatemnt with puerarin(100μM).We further showed that puerarin decreased Ang Ⅱ-induced accumulation of non-esterified fatty acids(NEFAs)and deletion of ATP,attenuated the Ang II-induced dissipation of the mitochondrial membrane potential,and improved the mitochondrial dysfunction in NRCM.Furthermore,addition of PPARαantagonist GW6471(10μM)partially abolished the anti-hypertrophic effects and metabolic effects of puerarin in NRCM.In conclusion,puerarin prevents cardiac hypertrophy in AAC-treated OVX rats through activation of PPARα/PGC-1 pathway and regulation of energy metabolism remodeling.This may provide a new approach to prevent the development of heart failure in postmenopausal women.Ning Hou Yin Huang Shao-ai Cai Wen-chang Yuan Li-rong Li Xia-wen Liu Gan-jian Zhao Xiao-xia Qiu Ai-qun Li Chuan-fang Cheng Shi-ming Liu Xiao-hui Chen Dao-feng Cai Jing-xuan Xie Min-sheng Chen Cheng-feng Luo 2021Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2021,42,1:11

13Recent progress on the recycling technology of Li-ion batteries显示文摘Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)have been widely applied in portable electronic devices and electric vehicles.With the booming of the respective markets,a huge quantity of spent LIBs that typically use either LiFePO_(4) or Li N_(x)Co_(y)Mn_(z)O_(2) cathode materials will be produced in the very near future,imposing significant pressure for the development of suitable disposal/recycling technologies,in terms of both environmental protection and resource reclaiming.In this review,we firstly do a comprehensive summary of the-state-of-art technologies to recycle Li N_(x)Co_(y)Mn_(z)O_(2) and LiFePO_(4)-based LIBs,in the aspects of pretreatment,hydrometallurgical recycling,and direct regeneration of the cathode materials.This closed-loop strategy for cycling cathode materials has been regarded as an ideal approach considering its economic benefit and environmental friendliness.Afterward,as for the exhausted anode materials,we focus on the utilization of exhausted anode materials to obtain other functional materials,such as graphene.Finally,the existing challenges in recycling the LiFePO_(4) and Li N_(x)Co_(y)Mn_(z)O_(2) cathodes and graphite anodes for industrial-scale application are discussed in detail;and the possible strategies for these issues are proposed.We expect this review can provide a roadmap towards better technologies for recycling LIBs,shed light on the future development of novel battery recycling technologies to promote the environmental benignity and economic viability of the battery industry and pave way for the large-scale application of LIBs in industrial fields in the near future.Yuqing Wang Ning An Lei Wen Lei Wang Xiaotong Jiang Feng Hou Yuxin Yin Ji Liang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,4:10
14New records of Jurassic petrified wood in Jianchang of western Liaoning,China and their palaeoclimate implications显示文摘Diverse and rich fossil wood records have been documented from the Mesozoic of Liaoning Province, NE China. The Tiaojishan Formation(mainly distributed in Beipiao, Chaoyang, Fuxin and Jianchang regions) is one of the most significant horizons for the Jurassic petrified wood in Liaoning Province. Previously, wood fossils of this formation were mainly reported in Beipiao and Chaoyang regions, whereas fossil wood record was merely known in Jianchang region. Here we describe new fossil wood specimens from the Tiaojishan Formation in Jianchang County, western Liaoning. Two fossil wood taxa, i.e., Protaxodioxylon jianchangense Tian et Wang sp. nov. and Xenoxylon peidense Zheng et Zhang were recognized on the basis of anatomical features. These fossil wood records add new data for understanding the fossil wood diversity, floral composition and palaeoclimate of the Tiaojishan Formation. 15Changes in the epidemiology of hepatitis A in three socio-economic regions of China,1990-2017显示文摘Background:Hepatitis A(HepA)vaccination and economic transitions can change the epidemiology of HepA.China's Gross Domestic Product(GDP)per capita was known to be inversely associated with the incidence of HepA,but a deeper understanding of the epidemiology of HepA in different socio-economic regions is lacking.We compare the changing epidemiology of HepA in three socioeconomic-geographic regions of China.Methods:We obtained data on all HepA cases reported through the National Notifiable Disease Reporting System and assessed trends and changes in age-specific incidence rates by age quartile and season.We categorized the country into three regions,the sequential years into five era,compared the incidence,quartile age;seasonal intensity and coverage of HepA of the three regions.Linear regression was peiformed to analyse trends in incidence of HepA and to analyse the association between coverage and incidence.Results:The annual mean incidences of HepA in the eastern,central,and western regions decreased from 63.52/100000,50.57/100000 and 46.39/100000 in 1990-1992 to 1.18/100000,1.05/100000 and 3.14/100000 in 2012-2017,respectively.Decreases in incidence were seen in all age groups in the three regions;the incidence was highest(9.3/100000)in the youngest age group(0-4 years)of the western region,while in the central region,the age group with the highest incidence changed from 0 to 9 years to adults>60 years old.In 2017,the median age of HepA cases was 43 years(Q-Q3:33-55),47 years(Q1-Q3:32-60)and 33 years(Q1-Q3:9-52)in the eastern,central,and western provinces,respectively.Seasonal peaks became smaller or were nearly elimination nationwide,but seasonality persisted in some provinces.After the Expanded Program on Immunization(EPI)included HepA vaccine into the routine schedule in 2007,HepA coverage increased to>80%in the three regions and was negatively association with the HepA incidence.Conclusion:The incidence of HepA decreased markedly between 1990 and 2017.A socioeconomic inequity in coverage of HepA vaccine was almost eliminated after HepA vaccine was introduced into China's EPI system,but inequity in incidence still existed in lower socio-economic developed region.Xiao-Jin Sun Guo-Min Zhang Rong-Jun Zhou Hui Zheng Ning Miao Zun-Dong Yin Fu-Zhen Wang 2019Infectious Diseases of Poverty2019,8,5:9
16Surplus dietary isoleucine intake enhanced monounsaturated fatty acid synthesis and fat accumulation in skeletal muscle of finishing pigs显示文摘Background: Isoleucine(Ile) has been implicated in the regulation of energy homeostasis and adipogenesis.However,the impact of surplus dietary Ile intake on muscle lipogenesis remains unknown.The present study aimed to investigate the impact of dietary supplementation of extra-Ile on lipogenesis,fatty acid profile and lipid accumulation in skeletal muscle in finishing pigs.Methods: Forty-eight barrows with initial body weight of 77.0 ± 0.1 kg were allotted to one of two groups and fed diets containing 0.39%,0.53% standardized ileal digestible(SID) Ile with six replicates per treatment and four pigs per replicate for 30 d.Results: Dietary Ile intake significantly improved the intramuscular fat(IMF) content and monounsaturated fatty acid(MUFA) concentration in the skeletal muscle(P < 0.05),and decreased the drip loss and shear force(P < 0.05) without influencing the growth performance of pigs(P > 0.05).Moreover,the phosphorylation of adenosine monophosphate activated protein kinase α(AMPKα) and acetyl coenzyme A carboxylase(ACC) proteins that monitor lipid metabolism were decreased in skeletal muscle of pigs offered extra-Ile diet(P < 0.05).The mRNA expression of adipose-specific genes adipocyte determination and differentiation factor 1(ADD1),fatty acid synthase(FAS),and stearoyl-CoA desaturase(SCD) were upregulated and the activity of SCD was increased as well(P < 0.05).Conclusions: Surplus dietary Ile intake could increase IMF accumulation and MUFA synthesis in skeletal muscle through depressing the phosphorylation of AMPKα-ACC and stimulating the expression and activity of SCD,and increasing the capability of lipogenesis in skeletal muscle.Yanhong Luo Xin Zhang Zhengpeng Zhu Ning Jiao Kai Qiu Jingdong Yin 2019Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2019,10,1:9

20Functional anatomical hepatectomy guided by indocyanine green fluorescence imaging in patients with localized cholestasis:Report of four cases显示文摘BACKGROUND Liver cancer is a malignant tumor with a high incidence.At present,the most effective treatment is laparoscopic hepatectomy(LH).Indocyanine green fluorescence imaging(ICG-FI)has become an important tool in LH,and the most common fluorescent types of tumors are total fluorescence,partial fluorescence,and rim fluorescence.CASE SUMMARY We presented four cases of LH guided by ICG-FI in which we also observed the fourth special fluorescent type.When the tumor or intrahepatic stone compresses the adjacent bile duct to cause local cholestasis,the liver segment or subsegment with obstructed bile drainage will show strong fluorescence.Complete removal of the lesion together with the fluorescent liver parenchyma may help reduce the risk of tumor or stone recurrence.CONCLUSION This type of partial fluorescence can indicate local biliary compression,and the resection method is related to bile drainage,which may be called functional anatomical hepatectomy and ensures radical resection of the lesion.Hong-Wei Han Ning Shi Yi-Ping Zou Yuan-Peng Zhang Ye Lin Zi Yin Zhi-Xiang Jian Hao-Sheng Jin 2021World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery2021,13,3:7
