| 1 | Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) numerical simulations on the interaction of the solar wind with the magnetosphere: A review显示文摘The magnetosphere is the outermost layer of the geospace, and the interaction of the solar wind with the magnetosphere is the key element of the space weather cause-and-effect chain process from the Sun to Earth, which is one of the most challenging scientific problems in the geospace weather study. The nonlinearity, multiple component, and time-dependent nature of the geospace make it very difficult to describe the physical process in geospace using traditional analytic analysis approach. Numerical simulations, a new research tool developed in recent decades, have a deep impact on the theory and application of the geospace. MHD simulations started at the end of the 1970s, and the initial study was limited to two-dimensional (2D) cases. Due to the intrinsic three-dimensional (3D) characteristics of the geospace, 3D MHD simulations emerged in the 1980s, in an attempt to model the large-scale structures and fundamental physical processes in the magnetosphere. They started to combine with the space exploration missions in the 1990s and make comparisons with observations. Physics-based space weather forecast models started to be developed in the 21st century. Currently only a few space-power countries such as USA and Japan have developed 3D magnetospheric MHD models. With the rapid advance of space science in China, we have developed a new global MHD model, namely PPMLR-MHD, which has high order spatial accuracy and low numerical dissipation. | 2 | Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). | 3 | Photostable and Biocompatible Fluorescent Silicon Nanoparticles for Imaging-Guided Co-Delivery of siRNA and Doxorubicin to Drug-Resistant Cancer Cells显示文摘The development of effective and safe vehicles to deliver small interfering RNA(siRNA) and chemotherapeutics remains a major challenge in RNA interference-based combination therapy with chemotherapeutics,which has emerged as a powerful platform to treat drug-resistant cancer cells.Herein,we describe the development of novel all-in-one fluorescent silicon nanoparticles(SiNPs)-based nanomedicine platform for imaging-guided co-delivery of siRNA and doxorubicin(DOX).This approach enhanced therapeutic efficacy in multidrug-resistant breast cancer cells(i.e.,MCF-7/ADR cells).Typically,the SiNP-based nanocarriers enhanced the stability of siRNA in a biological environment(i.e.,medium or RNase A) and imparted the responsive release behavior of siRNA,resulting in approximately 80% down-regulation of P-glycoprotein expression.Co-delivery of P-glycoprotein siRNA and DOX led to>35-fold decrease in the half maximal inhibitory concentration of DOX in comparison with free DOX,indicating the pronounced therapeutic efficiency of the resultant nanocomposites for drug-resistant breast cancer cells.The intracellular time-dependent release behaviors of siRNA and DOX were revealed through tracking the strong and stable fluorescence of SiNPs.These data provide valuable information for designing effective RNA interference-based co-delivery carriers. | Daoxia Guo Xiaoyuan Ji Fei Peng Yiling Zhong Binbin Chu Yuanyuan Su Yao He | 2019 | Nano-Micro Letters2019,11,2: | 5 |

| 6 | Triangulation of red sprites observed above a mesoscale convective system in North China显示文摘The triangulation of red sprites was obtained, based on concurrent observations over a mesoscale convective system(MCS) in North China from two stations separated by about 450 km. In addition, broadband sferics from the sprite-producing lightning were measured at five ground stations, making it possible to locate and identify the individual causative lightning discharges for different elements in this dancing sprite event. The results of our analyses indicate that the sprites were produced above the trailing stratiform region of the MCS, and their parent strokes were located mainly in the peripheral area of the stratiform. The lateral offset between sprites and causative strokes ranges from a few km to more than 50 km. PEDOT/PSS/gelatin layer on ITO-coated glass significantly decreases electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) and increases charge delivery capacity relative to the gelatin layer and bare ITOcoated glass, comparable to the PEDOT/PSS layer on ITO-coated glass. PEDOT/PSS/gelatin layer on ITOcoated glass enhances pheochromocytoma(PC 12) cell affinity, possesses a high biocompatibility and promotes PC 12 cell growth by delivery of electrical stimulation. | 20 | Cu_(1)-B dual-active sites catalysts for the efficient dehydrogenative coupling and CO_(2)electroreduction显示文摘Dual-active sites(DASs)catalysts have positive potential applications in broad fields because of their specific active sites and synergistic catalytic effects.Therefore,the controllable synthesis and finely regulating the activity of such catalysts has become a hot research area for now.In this work,we developed a pyrolysis-etching-hydrogen activation strategy to prepare the DASs catalysts involving single-atom Cu and B on N-doped porous carbon material(Cu_(1)-B/NPC).Numerous systematic characterization and density functional theoretical(DFT)calculation results showed that the Cu and B existed as Cu-N4 porphyrinlike unit and B-N_(3)unit in the obtained catalyst.DFT calculations further revealed that single-atom Cu and B sites were linked by bridging N atoms to form the Cu_(1)-B-N6 dual-sites.The Cu_(1)-B/NPC catalyst was more effective than the single-active site catalysts with B-N_(3)sites in NPC(B/NPC)and Cu-N4 porphyrin-like sites in NPC(Cu_(1)/NPC),respectively,for the dehydrogenative coupling of dimethylphenylsilane(DiMPSH)with various alcohols,performing the great activity(>99%)and selectivity(>99%).The catalytic performances of the Cu_(1)-B/NPC catalyst remained nearly unchanged after five cycles,also indicating its outstanding recyclability.DFT calculations showed that the Cu_(1)-B-N6 dual-sites exhibited the lowest energy profile on the potential energy surface than that of sole B-N_(3)and Cu-N4 porphyrin-like sites.Furthermore,the rate-limiting step of dehydrogenation of DiMPSH on Cu_(1)-B-N6 dual-sites also showed a much lower activation energy than the other two single sites.Benefitting from the superiority of the Cu_(1)-B-N6 dual-sites,the Cu_(1)-B/NPC catalyst can also be used for CO_(2)electroreduction to produce syngas.Thus,DASs catalysts are promising to achieve multifunctional catalytic properties and have aroused positive attention in the field of catalysis. | Konglin Wu Zhaobin Fang Cheng Peng Yining Zhang Binbin Jiang Yanshang Kang Zhiming Chen Mingfu Ye Yuxi Wu Xianwen Wei Shoujie Liu Sha Li Jian Zhang | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,4: | 0 |
