1Establishment and Preliminary Application of a Rapid Fluorescent Focus Inhibition Test (RFFIT) for Rabies Virus显示文摘The World Health Organization (WHO) standard assay for determining levels of the rabies virus neutralization antibody (RVNA) is the rapid fluorescent focus inhibition test (RFFIT), which is used to evaluate the immunity effect after vaccination against rabies. For RFFIT, CVS-11 was used as the challenge virus, BSR cells as the adapted cells, and WHO rabies immunoglobulin (WHO STD) as the reference serum in this study. With reference to WHO and Pasteur RFFIT procedures, a micro-RFFIT procedure adapted to our laboratory was produced, and its specificity and reproducibility were tested. We tested levels of RVNA in human serum samples after immunization with different human rabies vaccines (domestic purified Vero cell rabies vaccine (PVRV) and imported purified chick embryo cell vaccine (PCECV)) using different regimens (Zagreb regimen and Essen regimen). We analyzed the levels of RVNA, and compared the immune efficacy of domestic PVRV and imported PCECV using different immunization regimens. The results showed that the immune efficacy of domestic PVRV using the Zagreb regimen was as good as that of the imported PCECV, but virus antibodies were generated more rapidly with the Zagreb regimen than with the Essen regimen. 2Multigene editing via CRISPR/Cas9 guided by a single-sgRNA seed in Arabidopsis显示文摘We report that a solo single-guide RNA(sg RNA) seed is capable of guiding Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPRàassociated 9(CRISRP/Cas_9) to simultaneously edit multiple genes At RPL_(10)A, At RPL_(10)B and At RPL_(10)C in Arabidopsis. Our results also demonstrate that it is possible to use CRISPR/Cas_9 technology to create At RPL_(10) triple mutants which otherwise cannot be generated by conventional genetic crossing. Compared to other conventional multiplex CRISPR/Cas systems, a single sg RNA seed has the advantage of reducing off-target gene-editing. 3Genomic selection: A breakthrough technology in rice breeding显示文摘Rice(Oryza sativa)provides a staple food source for more than half the world population.However,the current pace of rice breeding in yield growth is insufficient to meet the food demand of the everincreasing global population.Genomic selection(GS)holds a great potential to accelerate breeding progress and is cost-effective via early selection before phenotypes are measured.Previous simulation and experimental studies have demonstrated the usefulness of GS in rice breeding.However,several affecting factors and limitations require careful consideration when performing GS.In this review,we summarize the major genetics and statistical factors affecting predictive performance as well as current progress in the application of GS to rice breeding.We also highlight effective strategies to increase the predictive ability of various models,including GS models incorporating functional markers,genotype by environment interactions,multiple traits,selection index,and multiple omic data.Finally,we envision that integrating GS with other advanced breeding technologies such as unmanned aerial vehicles and open-source breeding platforms will further improve the efficiency and reduce the cost of breeding.Yang Xu Kexin Ma Yue Zhao Xin Wang Kai Zhou Guangning Yu Cheng Li Pengcheng Li Zefeng Yang Chenwu Xu Shizhong Xu 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,3:7

5Research on vibration suppression of a mistuned blisk by a piezoelectric network显示文摘The work aims to provide a further investigation of the dynamic characteristics of an integral bladed disk(also called ‘blisk') with a Parallel Piezoelectric Network(PPN). The PPN is constructed by parallelly interconnecting the piezoelectric patches distributed in the blisk. Two kinds of PPN are considered, namely mono-periodic PPN and bi-periodic PPN. The former has a piezoelectric patch in each sector, and the later has one patch every few sectors. The vibration suppression performance of both kinds of PPN has been studied through modal analysis, forced response analysis, and statistical analysis. The research results turn out that the PPN will only affect mechanical frequencies near the electrical frequency clusters slightly, and the bi-periodic PPN will make the nodal diameter spectrum of the modes more complex, but the amplitude corresponding to the new nodal diameter component is much smaller than that of the nodal diameter component corresponding to the mono-periodic system. The mechanical coupling between the blades and the disk plays an important role in the damping effect of the PPN, and it should be paid attention to in applications. The mono-periodic PPN can effectively suppress the amplitude magnification of the forced response induced by the mistuning of the blisk; meanwhile, it can mitigate the vibration localization of the mistuned electromechanical system. 7Meso-Cenozoic Evolution of Earth Surface System under the East Asian Tectonic Superconvergence显示文摘The East Asian geological setting has a long duration related to the superconvergence of the Paleo-Asian, Tethyan and Paleo-Pacific tectonic domains. The Triassic Indosinian Movement contributed to an unified passive continental margin in East Asia. The later ophiolites and I-type granites associated with subduction of the Paleo-Pacific Plate in the Late Triassic, suggest a transition from passive to active continental margins. With the presence of the ongoing westward migration of the Paleo-Pacific Subduction Zone, the sinistral transpressional stress field could play an important role in the intraplate deformation in East Asia during the Late Triassic to Middle Jurassic, being characterized by the transition from the E-W-trending structural system controlled by the Tethys and Paleo-Asian oceans to the NE-trending structural system caused by the Paleo-Pacific Ocean subduction. The continuously westward migration of the subduction zones resulted in the transpressional stress field in East Asia marked by the emergence of the Eastern North China Plateau and the formation of the Andean-type active continental margin from late Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous(160-135 Ma), accompanied by the development of a small amount of adakites. In the Late Cretaceous(135-90 Ma), due to the eastward retreat of the Paleo-Pacific Subduction Zone, the regional stress field was replaced from sinistral transpression to transtension. Since a large amount of late-stage adakites and metamorphic core complexes developed, the Andean-type active continental margin was destroyed and the Eastern North China Plateau started to collapse. In the Late Cretaceous, the extension in East Asia gradually decreased the eastward retreat of the Paleo-Pacific subduction zones. Futhermore, a significant topographic inversion had taken place during the Cenozoic that resulted from a rapid uplift of the Tibet Plateau resulting from the India-Eurasian collision and the formation of the Bohai Bay Basin and other basins in the East Asian continental margin. The inversion caused a remarkable eastward migration of deformation, basin formation and magmatism. Meanwhile, the basins that mainly developed in the Paleogene resulted in a three-step topography which typically appears to drop eastward in altitude. In the Neogene, the basins underwent a rapid subsidence in some depressions after basin-controlled faulting, as well as the intracontinental extensional events in East Asia, and are likely to be a contribution to the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau.DMITRIENKO Liudmila V. 8One-step synthesis of robust carbon nanotube foams with ultrahigh surface area for high-performance lithium ion battery显示文摘A novel three-dimensional(3D) carbon nanotube foams(CNTF) with ultrahigh specific surface area have been fabricated through a unique but facile one-step synthesis by using CO_2 as both carbon source and activating agent. The activation temperature and time have been adjusted, and the best sample demonstrates a specific surface area of 1959.8 m^2 g^(–1) and a total pore volume of 3.23 cm^3 g^(–1). A reversible capacity of about 870 mAhg^(–1) is maintained at 50 mAg^(–1) when the CNTF used as cathode materials. Meanwhile, the capacity is as large as 320 mAhg^(–1) at the current density of 2 A g^(–1) and the capacity retention is nearly 100% after 500 cycles. These excellent and highly stable battery performances should be attributed to the structural advantages of as-synthesized CNTFs generated by using a facile CO_2-assisted strategy, which may potentially be applied in large scale production of porous 3D carbon materials in the fields of energy storage and conversion.YU PengCheng YUAN YanChao 2019Science China(Technological Sciences)2019,62,3:5
9Dynamic characteristics of a cyclic-periodic structure with a piezoelectric network显示文摘This paper deals with a cyclic-periodic structure with a piezoelectric network. In such a system, there is not only mechanical connection but also electrical connection between adjacent periodic sectors. The objective is to learn whether the presence of a piezoelectric network would change the dynamic characteristics of the system. The background of the research is about vibration reduction of a bladed disk in an aero-engine, and the system is simulated by a lumped parameter model. The dynamic equations of the system are derived, and then the analytical solution corresponding to the eigenvalue problem is given. The vibration responses to single traveling wave excitations(EO excitations) and multiple traveling wave excitations(NEO excitations) are studied.The results show that the presence of a piezoelectric network would change the natural frequencies of the system compared with those of the system with the piezoelectric shunt circuit. The forced response is sensitive to the connection type and the elements of the network. An energy analysis of the electro-mechanical coupling system has been performed to understand its dynamic behavior,and the following conclusion is obtained: a vibration reduction to excitations whose primary harmonic component is not zero can be achieved by a parallel piezoelectric network, while a reduction to other excitations should be based on a series piezoelectric network.Li Lin Deng Pengcheng Fan Yu 2015Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,5:5
10High-sensitivity self-powered temperature/pressure sensor based on flexible Bi-Te thermoelectric film and porous microconed elastomer显示文摘Electronic skins are artificial skin-type multifunctional sensors,which hold great potentials in intelligent robotics,limb prostheses and human health monitoring.However,it is a great challenge to independently and accurately read various physical signals without power supplies.Here,a self-powered flexible temperature-pressure bimodal sensor based on high-performance thermoelectric films and porous microconed conductive elastic materials is presented.Through introducing flexible heat-sink design and harvesting body heat energy,the thin-film thermoelectric device could not only precisely sense temperature signal but also drive the pressure sensor for detecting external tactile stimulus.The integration of Bi-Te based thermoelectric film with high stability in wide temperature range enables the sensor to sense the ambient temperature with high resolution(<0.1 K)as well as excellent sensitivity(3.77 mV K^(-1)).Meanwhile,the porous microconed elastomer responds to pressure variation with low-pressure detection(16 Pa)and a high sensitivity of 37 kPa^(-1).Furthermore,the bimodal sensor could accurately and simultaneously monitor human wrist pulse and body temperature in real time,which demonstrates promising applications in self-powered electronic skins for human health monitoring systems.Yaling Wang Wei Zhu Yuan Deng Pengcheng Zhu Yuedong Yu Shaoxiong Hu Ruifeng Zhang 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,8:4
11Integration of homogeneous and heterogeneous nucleation growth via 3D alloy framework for stable Na/K metal anode显示文摘Sodium/Potassium(Na/K)metal anodes have been considered as the promising anodes for next-generation Na/K secondary batteries owing to their ultrahigh specific capacity,low redox potential and low cost.However,their practical application is still hampered due to unstable solid electrolyte interphase,infinite volume change,and dendrite growth.Herein,we design a 3D-Na_(3)Bi/3D-K_(3)Bi alloy host which enables the homogeneous and heterogeneous nucleation growth of Na/K metal.The unique structure with periodic alternating of electron and ion conductivity improves the mass transfer kinetics and prevents the volume expansion during cycling.Meanwhile,the sodiophilicity of Na_(3)Bi/potassiophilicity of K_(3)Bi framework can avoid dendritic growth.Cycling lifespans over 700 h with 1 mAh cm^(−2)for 3D-Na_(3)Bi@Na electrode and about 450 h with 1 mAh cm^(−2)for 3D-K_(3)Bi@K electrode are achieved,respectively.3D-Na_(3)Bi@Na||Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))3 full battery shows sustainable cycle performance over 400 cycles.This design provides a simple but effective approach for achieving safety of sodium/potassium metal anodes.Shufen Ye Lifeng Wang Fanfan Liu Pengcheng Shi Yan Yu 2021eScience2021,1,1:3
12Comparative WGBS identifies genes that influence non-ripe phenotype in tomato epimutant Colourless non-ripening显示文摘Whole-genome bisulfite sequencing(WGBS)allows single-base resolution and genome-wide profiling of DNA methylation in plants and animals.This technology provides a powerful tool to identify genes that are potentially controlled by dynamic changes of DNA methylation and demethylation.However,naturally occurring epimutants are rare and genes under epigenetic regulation as well as their biological relevances are often difficult to define.In tomato,fruit development and ripening are a complex process that involves epigenetic control.We have taken the advantage of the tomato epimutant Colourless non-ripening(Cnr)and performed comparative mining of the WGBS datasets for the Cnr and Sl CMT3-silenced Cnr fruits.We compared DNA methylation profiles for the promoter sequences of approximately 5,000 bp immediately upstream of the coding region of a list of20 genes.Differentially methylated regions were found for some of these genes.Virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS)of differentially methylated gene Sl DET1 or Sl PDS resulted in unusual brown pigmentation in Cnr fruits.These results suggest that comparative WGBS coupled with VIGS can be used to identify genes that may contribute to the colourless unripe phenotype of fruit in the Cnr epimutant.Weiwei Chen Zhiming Yu Junhua Kong Hui Wang Yichen Li Mei Zhao Xiaohong Wang Qianqian Zheng Nongnong Shi Pengcheng Zhang Silin Zhong Paul Hunter Mahmut Tor Yiguo Hong 2018Science China(Life Sciences)2018,61,2:3
13Isolation and identifi cation of antimicrobial metabolites from sea anemone-derived fungus Emericella sp.SMA01显示文摘Marine symbiotic fungi represent an intriguing source of discovery of novel secondary metabolites with various biological activities.Sea anemones are benthic marine invertebrates,however,the cultivable symbiotic fungi residing in the sea anemones are paid few attentions compared to those derived from their cnidarian counterparts.Here we show the identification of antimicrobial secondary metabolites from the sea anemone-derived symbiotic fungi.Out offive isolated fungal strains,only the strain SMA01 showed strong antimicrobial activities,which was assigned into the genus Emericella based on the morphological characteristics and the ITS sequencing.Media swift from liquid fermentation to solid rice medium presented little influence on its antibacterial activity.A chemical investigation of the ethyl acetate extract of the Emericella sp.SMA01 led to discovery of the primary antibiotic metabolite phenazine-1-carboxylic acid.The IC_(50) values of the phenazine-1-carboxylic acid against Phytophthora capsici,Gibberella zeae,and Verticillium dahliae were determined to be 23.26-53.89μg/mL.To the best of our knowledge,this was the first report of Emericella sp.in sea anemones.The current study may benefit understanding of the defensive chemical interactions between the symbiotic fungi and their host sea anemones.Yang YUE Huahua YU Rongfeng LI Linfeng HU Song LIU Rong’e XING Pengcheng LI 2021Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,3:2
14Experimental Study on the Ride Comfort of a Crawler Power Chassis Scale Model Based on the Similitude Theory显示文摘The ride comfort experimental assessment of crawler off-road vehicle is relatively overlooked, and is expensive and difficult to execute with higher and higher ride comfort performance requirements. To trade off between precise and cost, an experimental method based on the similitude theory is proposed. Under the guidance of the similitude theory, a 1:5 crawler power chassis scale model equipped with a kind of variable stiffness suspension system is used. The power spectrum density(PSD), the root mean square(RMS) of weighed acceleration, peak factor, average absorbed power(AAP) and vibration dose value(VDV) are selected as ride comfort evaluation indexes, and tests results are transformed via similarity indexes to predict the performance of full-scale power chassis. PSD shows that the low-order natural frequency of the vertical natural frequency(z axis) is 1.1 Hz, and the RMS, AAP and VDV values indicate the ride comfort performance of this kind of power chassis is between the 'A little uncomfortable' and 'Rather uncomfortable'. From the results, low-order vertical natural frequency, obtained by PSD, validates that the similarity relationship between two models is satisfied, and 1:5 scale model used in experiment meets the similarity relationship with the full-scale model; consequently, the ride comfort prophase evaluation with the 1:5 scale model is feasible. 15Pseudomonas mendocina LYX:A novel aerobic bacterium with advantage of removing nitrate high effectively by assimilation and dissimilation simultaneously显示文摘The problem of nitrate accumulation in aerobic tank and total nitrogen excessive discharge in effluent was very common in traditional livestock and poultry farming wastewater treatment systems owing to the lengthy process flow and low process control level.A strain LYX of aerobic bacterium was isolated from the activated sludge of a wastewater treatment system in a pig farm,which could remove nitrate effectively in aerobic tank and was identified Pseudomonas mendocina by 16S rRNA sequencing.Under the condition of nitrate as the sole nitrogen source,this strain removed over 90%of NO_(3)^(−)-N with an initial concentration of 110 mg/L under aerobic conditions within 48 hours.Among them,37.9%of NO_(3)^(−)-N was assimilated into Bio-N,about 51.9%was reduced to gaseous nitrogen and less than 0.5%of nitrogen was replaced by NO_(3)^(−)-N and NH_(4)^(+)-N,9.7%NO_(3)^(−)-N remained in the effluent at the end.At the same time,four key genes(napA,nirK,norB and nosZ)related to nitrate nitrogen removal were expressed during the denitrification process of P.mendocina LYX,in which the transcription level of the indicator genes of this aerobic denitrifying bacterium(napA)was the highest.In addition,it was found with the 15N tracer technique that inoculation of this strain on sludge increased the amount of nitrogen loss from 9.26 nmol N/(g·h)to 23.835 nmol N/(g·h).Therefore,P.medocina LYX is a potential bioagent for advanced nitrogen removal by assimilating and reducing nitrate simultaneously in aerobic tanks.Yuxin Li Jiayin Ling Pengcheng Chen Jinliang Chen Ruizhi Dai Jinsong Liao Jiejing Yu Yanbin Xu 2021Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2021,15,4:2
16Effects of Spherical Aggregates Addition on Properties of Al2O3-SiO2 System Castables显示文摘Compared with traditional aggregates,spherical aggregates with high flowability,easy control of particle size distribution and favor of dense packing and so on,are expected to replace traditional aggregates as important raw materials for future high performance refractories. Therefore,investigation of effects of spherical aggregates addition on properties of refractories becomes very meaningful. Using A70 mullite traditional aggregates and A70 mullite spherical aggregates, bauxite homogenization powder,microsilica,and calcium aluminate cement as raw materials,different Al_2O_3-SiO_2system low cement castables were prepared by replacing conventional aggregates with spherical aggregates. The effect of spherical aggregates addition on workability and mechanical properties of castables after heated at different temperatures was researched,and microstructure of the specimen was analyzed by SEM. Compared with traditional irregularly shaped aggregates,spherical aggregates endow castables with better flowability and easy pump ability. By introduction of spherical aggregates into the castables,flowability and pumpability are significantly improved,and water addition and ball completely sunk time are reduced. The introduction of spherical aggregates is favorable to density and cold crushing strength of castables,but unfavorable to CMOR. The effect of spherical aggregates addition on HMOR at1 400 ℃ can be negligible. 17Microstructural evolution and hardness of as-cast Be-Al-Sc-Zr alloy processed by laser surface remelting显示文摘As-cast beryllium-aluminum(Be-Al)alloy exhibits a coarse microstructure with pore defects due to a large solidification interval,greatly limiting its mechanical properties.In this research,the relationship between laser surface remelting process and microstructure and hardness of as-cast Be-Al-Sc-Zr alloy was established.The experimental results demonstrated that a pore-free refined microstructure of remelted layer was obtained by controlling the parameter of effective laser energy input.The microstructure of as-cast Be-Al-Sc-Zr alloy consisted of equiaxed grains with Al phase forming a continuous frame wrapping Be phase,which was significantly refined in the remelted zone(from 25μm to 2μm).The Vickers hardness in the remelted zone(approximately 210 HV)was approximately 3 times that of as-cast Be-Al-Sc-Zr alloy.Analysis of the Vickers hardness and the Be phase size showed a good agreement with a Hall-Petch equation.In addition,transmission electron microscopy(TEM),auger electron spectroscopy(AES)and X-ray diffraction(XRD)analysis evidenced that Sc and Zr elements formed a single blocky phase Be13(Scx,Zr1-x),which was also greatly refined from 8μm to 1.5μm in the remelted zone.The results obtained in this study indicate that the laser surface remelting allowed refining the microstructure and further strengthening the Vickers hardness of Be-Al-Sc-Zr alloy.Qingdong XU Yu LUO Xiangdong LIU Lei YANG Shixiong HE Xin WANG Wenyuan WANG Tao SHI Ruiwen LI Pengcheng ZHANG 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,8:2

20One-pot synthesis of arginine modified hydroxyapatite carbon microsphere composites for efficient removal of U(Ⅵ) from aqueous solutions显示文摘Uranium was not only the main source of nuclear energy but also one of the long-lived radionuclide.Herein, a novel arginine modified hydroxyapatite carbon microsphere composites(defined as C@HAp/Arg) obtained promptly via a one-step mild hydrothermal method, was applied to remove U(Ⅵ) from aqueous solutions. Based on the characterization of transmission electron microscopy(TEM), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), X-ray diffraction(XRD)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), the synthesized C@HAp/Arg presented globular morphology and abundant functional groups(e.g., —COO^-), which were beneficial to its combination with U(Ⅵ). The interaction mechanism and removal capability of U(Ⅵ) on C@HAp/Arg were studied by batch adsorption technique and spectroscopy analysis. The results implied that U(Ⅵ) can form strong surface complexes on C@HAp/Arg. The kinetics adsorption of U(Ⅵ) followed pseudo-second-order kinetic model with high removal efficiency($95% within 5h at pH 5.0). The adsorption isotherms were well fitted by Langmuir model, implying that U(Ⅵ) uptake on C@HAp/Arg was monolayer coverage. It was found that the maximum adsorption capacities of CSs, C@HAp and C@HAp/Arg toward U(Ⅵ) were calculated to be 23.16,72.09 and 569.66 mg/g, respectively, at 298.15 K and pH 5.0, and thermodynamic parameters revealed that the adsorption processes of U(Ⅵ) were spontaneous and endothermic. In addition, effect of co-existed ions and CO_3^(2-)concentrations demonstrated that U(Ⅵ) adsorption on C@HAp/Arg was weakly interfered by foreign ions and carbonate concentrations. More importantly, the adsorption performance of U(Ⅵ) on C@HAp/Arg was still over $87% after five cycles.
