1Uncertainties in assessing the effect of climate change on agriculture using model simulation and uncertainty processing methods显示文摘Model simulation is an important way to study the effects of climate change on agriculture.Such assessment is subject to a range of uncertainties because of either incomplete knowledge or model technical uncertainties,impeding effective decision-making to climate change.On the basis of uncertainties in the impact assessment at different levels,this article systematically summarizes the sources and propagation of uncertainty in the assessment of the effect of climate change on agriculture in terms of the climate projection,the assessment process,and the crop models linking to climate models.Meanwhile,techniques and methods focusing on different levels and sources of uncertainty and uncertainty propagation are introduced,and shortcomings and insufficiencies in uncertainty processing are pointed out.Finally,in terms of how to accurately assess the effect of climate change on agriculture,improvements to further decrease potential uncertainty are suggested.YAO FengMei QIN PengCheng ZHANG JiaHua LIN ErDa BOKEN Vijendra 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,8:21
2The Impact of the Linked Factors of Provenance,Tectonics and Climate on Potash Formation:An Example from the Potash Deposits of Lop Nur Depression in Tarim Basin,Xinjiang,Western China显示文摘Potash deposits commonly accumulate in highly restricted settings at the final stage of brine evaporation. This does not mean that potash deposits are formed simply as a result of the evaporation concentration of seawater or lake water, but rather as a coupling result of particular provenance, tectonics and climate activities. In this paper, we focus on the formative mechanism of the potash deposits of Lop Nur depression in Tarim Basin to interpret the detailed coupling mechanism among provenance, tectonics and climate. In terms of the provenance of Lop Nur Lake, the water of the Tarim River which displays 'potassium-rich' characteristics play an important role. In addition, the Pliocene and Lower-Middle Pleistocene clastic beds surrounding Lop Nur Lake host a certain amount of soluble potassium and thus serves as 'source beds' for potash formation. During the late Pliocene, the Lop Nur region has declined and evolved into a great lake from the previous piedmont and diluvial fan area. Since the mid Pleistocene, the great-united Lop Nur Lake has been separated and has generated a chain system consisting of Taitema Lake, Big Ear Lake and Luobei Lake which has turned into the deepest sag in Lop Nur Lake. Dry climate in Lop Nur region has increased since the Pliocene, and became extreme at the late Pleistocene. The study implies that potash formation in Lop Nur Lake depends on the optimal combination of extreme components of provenance, tectonics and climate during a shorter-term period. The optimal patterns of three factors are generally characterized by the long-term accumulation and preliminary enrichment of potassium, the occurrence of the deepest sub-depression and the appearance of an extremely arid climate in Lop Nur region. 3Single atom accelerates ammonia photosynthesis显示文摘Atomically dispersed metal has gained much attention because of the new opportunities they offer in catalysis. However, it is still crucial to understand the mechanism of single-atom catalysis at molecular level for expanding them to other more difficult catalytic reactions, such as ammonia synthesis from nitrogen. In fact, developing ammonia synthesis under ambient conditions to overcome the high energy consumption in well-established Haber-Bosch process has fascinated scientists for many years.Herein, we demonstrate that single Cu atom yields facile valence-electron isolation from the conjugated π electron cloud of p-CN. Electron spin resonance measurements reveal that these isolated valence electrons can be easily excited to generate free electrons under photo-illumination, thus inducing high efficient photo-induced ammonia synthesis under ambient conditions.The NH_3 producing rate of copper modified carbon nitride(Cu-CN) reached 186 μmol g^(-1) h^(-1) under visible light irradiation with the quantum efficiency achieved 1.01% at 420 nm monochromatic light. This finding surely offers a model to open up a new vista for the ammonia synthesis at gentle conditions. 4Early Miocene Mosses from Weichang, North China, and their Environmental Significance显示文摘Twenty-seven moss specimens collected from the Guangfayong section(Early Miocene,22.1Ma)of the Weichang District,North China were investigated in the present study.Based on the morphological and anatomical features of gametophytes,all specimens were found to belong to three species:Leptodictyum riparium,Drepanocladus subtrichophyllus sp.nov.,and Amblystegium varium,all of which belong to the family Amblystegiaceae.The microhabitats and living environments of fossil mosses were also investigated based on comparison with living mosses.The results suggest that these mosses grew primarily at the edges of rivers,streams,and lakes and favored being submerged in streams or lakes in the Weichang District in the Early Miocene.GUO Caiqing YAO Jianxin WU Pengcheng LI Chengsen 2013Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2013,87,6:2
5High performance organic transistors and phototransistors based on diketopyrrolopyrrole-quaterthiophene copolymer thin films fabricated via low-concentration solution processing显示文摘Conjugated polymers have received considerable attentions over the past years due to their large-area potential applications via low-cost solution processing.Improving crystallinity of conjugated polymer molecules in solution-processed thin films is crucial for their efficient charge transport and thus high performance optoelectronic devices.Herein,with diketopyrrolopyrrole-quaterthiophene(PDQT)copolymer as an example,it is found that by simply reducing the solution concentration for spincoating meanwhile with the assistance of post-annealing,significantly enhanced film crystallinity with formation of typical single crystalline domains is obtained,which benefits from the enough space for better molecular assembly especially at the semiconductor/dielectric interface.High performance polymer transistors and phototransistors were finally constructed based on the optimal lowconcentration(2 mg/mL)spin-coated PDQT films(12 nm),which giving a high charge carrier mobility of 2.28 cm^2V^(-1)s^(-1)and a photoresponse on/off ratio of 2.1×10~7at V_G=0 V under white light irradiation of6 mW/cm^2.The results suggest that the bright future of PDQT crystalline films for large-area flexible integrated optoelectronic devices and the application of effective low-concentration processing approach in solution-processed organic electronics with reduced material waste.Pengcheng Gu Mengxiao Hu Shang Ding Guangyao Zhao Yifan Yao Feng Liu Xiaotao Zhang Huanli Dong Xiangke Wang Wenping Hu 2018Chinese Chemical Letters2018,29,11:2

7New Fossil Liverworts from the Lower Cretaceous of Western Liaoning, China显示文摘Sixteen liverwort specimens collected from the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation of Huangbanjigou Village, Liaoning Province, China are studied in this work. The plants are thalloid and preserved in brown arenaceous mudstone as impressions. Based on examinations, the liverworts are assigned to two new genera and five new species: Riccardiothallus palmata sp. nov., Pallaviciniites stricta sp. nov., Pellites latithallus gen. et sp. nov., Conocephalumites hexagonites gen. et sp. nov. and Metzgerites multifidus sp. nov., belonging to five families and five genera. The fossil research indicates that the divergence of families, Aneuraceae and Metzgeriaceae, Pallaviciniaceae and Hymenophytaceae,Pelliaceae and Fossombroniaceae, was in the Lower Cretaceous(125 Ma). Herein, we described a facile route for synthesizing graphene-Cu and graphene-Cu2 O nanocomposites using graphene oxide-Cu O as a precursor. Remarkably, the different nanocomposites could be formed just by varying the reaction temperature and time. 12Manipulating selenium molecular configuration in N/O dual-doped porous carbon for high performance potassium-ion storage显示文摘Potassium-selenium(K-Se)batteries have attracted more and more attention because of their high theoretical specific capacity and natural abundance of K resources.However,dissolution of polyselenides,large volume expansion during cycling and low utilization of Se remain great challenges,leading to poor rate capability and cycle life.Herein,N/O dual-doped carbon nanofibers with interconnected micro/mesopores(MMCFs)are designed as hosts to manipulate Se molecular configuration for advanced flexible K-Se batteries.The micropores play a role in confining small Se molecule(Se_(2–3)),which could inhibit the formation of polyselenides and work as physical barrier to stabilize the cycle performance.While the mesopores can confine long-chain Se(Se_(4–7)),promising sufficient Se loading and contributing to higher discharge voltage of the whole Se@MMCFs composite.The N/O co-doping and the 3D interpenetrating nanostructure improve electrical conductivity and keep the structure integrity after cycling.The obtained Se_(2–3)/Se_(4–7)@MMCFs electrode exhibits an unprecedented cycle life(395 mA h g^(−1) at 1 A g^(−1) after 2000 cycles)and high specific energy density(400 Wh kg^(−1),nearly twice the specific energy density of the Se_(2–3)@MMCFs).This study offers a rational design for the realization of a high energy density and long cycle life chalcogen cathode for energy storage.Dongjun Li Lifeng Wang Xiaolong Cheng Yu Yao Yu Jiang Pengcheng Shi Ying Wu Xiaojun Wu Cheng Ma Yan Yua 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,11:1

15A scalable fish-school inspired self-assembled particle system for solar-powered water-solute separation显示文摘Complete separation of water and solute is the ultimate goal of water treatment,for maximized resource recycling.However,commercialized approaches such as evaporative crystallizers consume a large amount of electricity with a significant carbon footprint,leading to calls for alternative energy-efficient and eco-friendly strategies.Here,inspired by schooling fish,we demonstrate a collective system self-assembled by expanded polystyrene(EPS)-core/graphene oxide(GO)-shell particles,which enables autonomous,efficient and complete water-solute separation powered by sunlight.By taking advantage of surface tension,these tailored particles school together naturally and are bonded as a system to function collectively and coordinatively,to nucleate,grow and output salt crystals continuously and automatically out of even saturated brine,to complete water-solute separation.Solar-vapor conversion efficiency over 90%and salt production rate as high as 0.39 kg m^(-2) h^(-1) are achieved under 1-sun illumination for this system.It reduces the carbon footprint of~50 kg for treating 1-ton saturated brine compared with the commercialized approaches.Ning Xu Haoran Zhang Zhenhui Lin Jinlei Li Guoliang Liu Xiuqiang Li Wei Zhao Xinzhe Min Pengcheng Yao Lin Zhou Yan Song Bin Zhu Shining Zhu Jia Zhu 2021National Science Review2021,8,10:1
