| 1 | Dental stem cell and dental tissue regeneration显示文摘The teeth are highly differentiated chewing organs formed by the development of tooth germ tissue located in the jaw and consist of the enamel, dentin, cementum, pulp, and periodontal tissue. Moreover, the teeth have a complicated regulatory mechanism, special histologic origin, diverse structure, and important function in mastication, articulation, and aesthetics. These characteristics, to a certain extent, greatly complicate the research in tooth regeneration. Recently, new ideas for tooth and tissue regeneration have begun to appear with rapid developments in the theories and technologies in tissue engineering. Numerous types of stem cells have been isolated from dental tissue, such as dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs), stem cells isolated from human pulp of exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED), periodontal ligament stem cells (PDLSCs), stem cells from apical papilla (SCAPs), and dental follicle cells (DFCs). All these cells can regenerate the tissue of tooth. | 2 | BMAL1 knockout macaque monkeys display reduced sleep and psychiatric disorders显示文摘Circadian disruption is a risk factor for metabolic, psychiatric and age-related disorders, and non-human primate models could help to develop therapeutic treatments. Here, we report the generation of BMAL1 knockout cynomolgus monkeys for circadian-related disorders by CRISPR/Cas9 editing of monkey embryos. These monkeys showed higher nocturnal locomotion and reduced sleep, which was further exacerbated by a constant light regimen. Physiological circadian disruption was reflected by the markedly dampened and arrhythmic blood hormonal levels. Furthermore, BMAL1-deficient monkeys exhibited anxiety and depression, consistent with their stably elevated blood cortisol, and defective sensory processing in auditory oddball tests found in schizophrenia patients. Ablation of BMAL1 up-regulated transcriptional programs toward inflammatory and stress responses, with transcription networks associated with human sleep deprivation, major depressive disorders, and aging. | 3 | Commissioning progress of the FAST显示文摘The Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST) was completed with its main structure installed on September 25, 2016, after which it entered the commissioning phase. This paper aims to introduce the commissioning progress of the FAST over the past two years. To improve its operational reliability and ensure effective observation time, FAST has been equipped with a real-time information system for the active reflector system and hierarchical commissioning scheme for the feed support system, which ultimately achieves safe operation of the two systems. For meeting the high-performance indices, a highprecision measurement system was set up based on the effective control methods that were implemented for the active reflector system and feed support system. Since the commissioning of the FAST, a low-frequency ultra-wideband receiver and 19-beam1.05-1.45 GHz receiver have been mainly used. Telescope efficiency, pointing accuracy, and system noise temperature were completely tested and ultimately achieved the acceptance indices of the telescope. The FAST has been in the process of national acceptance preparations and has begun to search for pulsars. | 4 | A two-step lineage reprogramming strategy to generate functionally competent human hepatocytes from fibroblasts显示文摘Terminally differentiated cells can be generated by lineage reprogramming,which is,however,hindered by incomplete conversion with residual initial cell identity and partial functionality. Here, we demonstrate a new reprogramming strategy by mimicking the natural regeneration route, which permits generating expandable hepatic progenitor cells and functionally competent human hepatocytes. Fibroblasts were first induced into human hepatic progenitor-like cells (hHPLCs), which could robustly expand in vitro and efficiently engraft in vivo. Moreover, hHPLCs could be efficiently induced into mature human hepatocytes (hiHeps) in vitro, whose molecular identity highly resembles primary human hepatocytes (PHHs). Most importantly, hiHeps could be generated in large quantity and were functionally competent to replace PHHs for drug-metabolism estimation, toxicity prediction and hepatitis B virus infection modeling. Our results highlight the advantages of the progenitor stage for successful lineage reprogramming. | 16 | A Textural and Mineralogical Study of the Shanzhuang Banded Iron Formation, Southeastern Margin of the North China Craton: Implications for the Overprint History of Hydrothermal Alteration and Supergenesis after Mineralization显示文摘The newly discovered Shanzhuang BIF is hosted in the Shancaoyu Formation of the Taishan Group within the Eastern Block,southeastern margin of the North China Craton.The ores can be subdivided into three types in terms of mineral assemblages,corresponding to three types(Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ).The element concentration of the type Ⅰ magnetite is similar to that of the type Ⅱ magnetite,while the type Ⅲ magnetite is similar to that of the schist.In general,magnetite and hemat ite grains from the ores show high concentrations of Mn(1317,1162 ppm),Co(787,1023 ppm),Al(2224,2435 ppm)and Ti(540,300 ppm),Whereas magnetite is depleted in Si(420 ppm)and hematite enriched in Si(1690 ppm).Detailed petrographic and mineral chemical analysis of magnetite,hematite,amphibole/hornblende and pyroxene,reveals that almost all the minerals occur as subhedral-anhedral grains with pits and fractures,and the BIF is recrystallized to metamorphic assemblages of high amphibolite facies.Hornblende is highly enriched in Fe,Mg and Ca,but depleted in K and Na,mostly belonging to magnesiohornblende.In addition,the ratios of Mg/(Mg+Fe^2+),Fe^3+/(Fe^3++Fe^2+),Si/(Si+Ti+Al)and Al/Si are 0.48-0.64,0.17-0.36,0.79-0.88 and 0.14-0.27,respectively.It is suggested that hornblende is neither a typical magmatic origin nor a typical metamorphic.Pyroxene has the characteristics of high Ca and Fe,but low Ti and Al,with end-member components En,Wo and Fs in the ranges of 25.22-28.64 wt%,43.71-46.40 wt%and 24.51-27.62 wt%,respectively,belonging to clinopyroxene,and mostly diopside,might be formed during the prograde metamorphism in the absence of H2 O.The carbonate such as dolomite-ankerite series is probably a precursor mineral of the BIF deposit.Mass mineral chemical and structural characteristics indicate that the Shanzhuang iron deposit has been subjected to varying degrees of oxidized hydrothermal superimposed reformation,metamorphism,and supergenesis after mineralization,during which some elements have been migrated in some degree. | ZHANG Yan YU Xuefeng PENG Qiming LI Dapeng LI Xiaowei SHEN Kun ZHANG Shangkun SHANWei | 2020 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020，94，6： | 1 |

| 18 | Direct fitting measurement of gas content in coalbed and selection of reasonable sampling time显示文摘In this study, we selected 9 typical coal samples with different metamorphic grades as the study subjects,measured their initial 30-min gas desorption at 30℃ and different pressure using a self-developed gas adsorption/desorption device. Based on the characteristics of gas desorption from coal samples, we proposed a direct fitting method for measurement of gas content in coalbed, analyzed the effects of sampling time on the measurement results and determined the reasonable sampling time of coal samples with different metamorphic grades at different gas adsorption pressure at equilibrium. The results show that (1)the error of gas contents obtained using the direct fitting method relative to that obtained using indirect method is less than 10%, which meets the actual on-site requirements and verifies the feasibility of the direct fitting method;(2) when the relative error is controlled within ±10%, the reasonable sampling time of coal samples is linearly related to the gas adsorption pressure at equilibrium;(3) the reasonable sampling time of coal samples with the same metamorphic grade exhibits a shortening trend with increasing gas adsorption pressure at equilibrium;(4) for coal samples with similar gas adsorption pressure at equilibrium, the reasonable sampling time of coal samples displays a shortening trend with increasing metamorphic grade.
