1A complete sequence and comparative analysis of a SARS-associated virus(Isolate BJ01)显示文摘The genome sequence of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)-associated virus provides essential information for the identification of pathogen(s), exploration of etiology and evolution, interpretation of transmission and pathogenesis, development of diagnostics, prevention by future vaccination, and treatment by developing new drugs. We report the complete genome sequence and comparative analysis of an isolate (BJ01) of the coronavirus that has been recognized as a pathogen for SARS. The genome is 29725 nt in size and has 11 ORFs (Open Reading Frames). It is composed of a stable region encoding an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (composed of 2 ORFs) and a variable region representing 4 CDSs (coding sequences) for viral structural genes (the S, E, M, N proteins) and 5 PUPs (putative uncharacterized proteins). Its gene order is identical to that of other known coronaviruses. The sequence alignment with all known RNA viruses places this virus as a member in the family of Coronaviridae. Thirty putative substitutions have been identified by comparative analysis of the 5 SARS- associated virus genome sequences in GenBank. Fifteen of them lead to possible amino acid changes (non-synonymous mutations) in the proteins. Three amino acid changes, with predicted alteration of physical and chemical features, have been detected in the S protein that is postulated to beinvolved in the immunoreactions between the virus and its host. Two amino acid changes have been detected in the Mprotein, which could be related to viral envelope formation. Phylogenetic analysis suggests the possibility of non-human origin of the SARS-associated viruses but provides noevidence that they are man-made. 2Plasma metabolomic and lipidomic alterations associated with COVID-19显示文摘The pandemic of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has become a global public health crisis.The symptoms of COVID-19 range from mild to severe,but the physiological changes associated with COVID-19 are barely understood.In this study,we performed targeted metabolomic and lipidomic analyses of plasma from a cohort of patients with COVID-19 who had experienced different symptoms.We found that metabolite and lipid alterations exhibit apparent correlation with the course of disease in these patients,indicating that the development of COVID-19 affected their whole-body metabolism.In particular,malic acid of the TCA cycle and carbamoyl phosphate of the urea cycle result in altered energy metabolism and hepatic dysfunction,respectively.It should be noted that carbamoyl phosphate is profoundly down-regulated in patients who died compared with patients with mild symptoms.And,more importantly,guanosine monophosphate(GMP),which is mediated not only by GMP synthase but also by CD39 and CD73,is significantly changed between healthy subjects and patients with COVID-19,as well as between the mild and fatal cases.In addition,dyslipidemia was observed in patients with COVID-19.Overall,the disturbed metabolic patterns have been found to align with the progress and severity of COVID-19.This work provides valuable knowledge about plasma biomarkers associated with COVID-19 and potential therapeutic targets,as well as an important resource for further studies of the pathogenesis of COVID-19.Di Wu Ting Shu Xiaobo Yang Jian-Xin Song Mingliang Zhang Chengye Yao Wen Liu Muhan Huang Yuan Yu Qingyu Yang Tingju Zhu Jiqian Xu Jingfang Mu Yaxin Wang Hong Wang Tang Tang Yujie Ren Yongran Wu Shu-Hai Lin Yang Qiu Ding-Yu Zhang You Shang Xi Zhou 2020National Science Review2020,7,7:9

4Observational evidences for the speed of the gravity based on the Earth tide显示文摘We have found that the current practical Newtonian formula for the gravity tide of the Earth implies a hypothesis that gravity travels at the speed of light; furthermore, we have derived and solved the propagation equation of gravity using the observation data of Earth tides from Shiquanhe and Wushi, after correction of phase lag due to the anelasticity of the Earth, and found that the speeds of gravity are from 0.93 to 1.05 times the speed of light with a relative error of about 5%. 7V4C3Tx MXene:A promising active substrate for reactive surface modification and the enhanced electrocatalytic oxygen evolution activity显示文摘Presented are the synthesis,characterizations,and reactive surface modification(RSM)of a novel nine atomic layered V4C3Tx MXene.With the advantages of the multilayered V4C3Tx MXene that can simultaneously support the RSM reaction and keep the inner skeleton stable,a series of amorphous Ni/Fe/Vternary oxide hydroxides thin layer can be successfully modified on the surface of the V4C3Tx MXene(denoted as MOOH@V4C3Tx,M=Ni,Fe,and V)without disrupting its original structure.Attributed to the in situ reconstruction of highly active oxide hydroxide layer,the nanohybrids exhibited an enhanced oxygen evolution reaction(OER)activity and excellent long-time stability over 70 hours.In particular,a current density of 10 mA cm−2 can be reached by the nanohybrid with the optimized Ni/Fe ratio at an overpotential(η)as low as 275.2 mV,which is comparable to most of the state-of-the-art OER catalysts and better than other MXene-based derivatives.Demonstrated by the tunable physicochemical properties and excellent structural stability of these nanohybrids,we may envision the promising role of the M4X3-based MXenes as substrates for a wide range of energy conversion and storage materials.Cheng-Feng Du Xiaoli Sun Hong Yu Wei Fang Yao Jing Yonghui Wang Shuiqing Li Xianhu Liu Qingyu Yan 2020InfoMat2020,2,5:8
8Atmospheric HULIS and its ability to mediate the reactive oxygen species (ROS): A review显示文摘Atmospheric humic-like substances(HULIS) are not only an unresolved mixture of macroorganic compounds but also powerful chelating agents in atmospheric particulate matters(PMs); impacting on both the properties of aerosol particles and health effects by generating reactive oxygen species(ROS). Currently, the interests of HULIS are intensively shifting to the investigations of HULIS-metal synergic effects and kinetics modeling studies, as well as the development of HULIS quantification, findings of possible HULIS sources and generation of ROS from HULIS. In light of HULIS studies, we comprehensively review the current knowledge of isolation and physicochemical characterization of HULIS from atmospheric samples as well as HULIS properties(hygroscopic, surface activity, and colloidal) and possible sources of HULIS.This review mainly highlights the generation of reactive oxygen species(ROS) from PMs, HULIS and transition metals, especially iron. This review also summarized the mechanism of ironorganic complexation and recent findings of OH formation from HULIS-metal complexes. 9Targeting PFKL with penfluridol inhibits glycolysis and suppresses esophageal cancer tumorigenesis in an AMPK/FOXO3a/BIM-dependent manner显示文摘As one of the hallmarks of cancer,metabolic reprogramming leads to cancer progression,and targeting glycolytic enzymes could be useful strategies for cancer therapy.By screening a small molecule library consisting of 1320 FDA-approved drugs,we found that penfluridol,an antipsychotic drug used to treat schizophrenia,could inhibit glycolysis and induce apoptosis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).Gene profiling and Ingenuity Pathway Analysis suggested the important role of AMPK in action mechanism of penfluridol.By using drug affinity responsive target stability(DARTS)technology and proteomics,we identified phosphofructokinase,liver type(PFKL),a key enzyme in glycolysis,as a direct target of penfluridol.Penfluridol could not exhibit its anticancer property in PFKL-deficient cancer cells,illustrating that PFKL is essential for the bioactivity of penfluridol.High PFKL expression is correlated with advanced stages and poor survival of ESCC patients,and silencing of PFKL significantly suppressed tumor growth.Mechanistically,direct binding of penfluridol and PFKL inhibits glucose consumption,lactate and ATP production,leads to nuclear translocation of FOXO3a and subsequent transcriptional activation of BIM in an AMPK-dependent manner.Taken together,PFKL is a potential prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target in ESCC,and penfluridol may be a new therapeutic option for management of this lethal disease.Cancan Zheng Xiaomei Yu Yiyao Liang Yidong Zhu Yan He Long Liao Dingkang Wang Yanming Yang Xingfeng Yin Ang Li Qingyu He Bin Li 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,3:4
10Outlining the keyword co-occurrence trends in Shuanghuanglian injection research: A bibliometric study using CiteSpace Ⅲ显示文摘Objective:To explore the evolvement and new trends in the use of Shuanghuanglian injection(SHLI).Methods:China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),PubMed,and Embase were extensively searched using the search terms“Shuanghuanglian injection”and“Shuanghuanglian fenzhen”to retrieve articles relevant to SHLI(1992e2020).Retrieved articles were further investigated by two authors to exclude those unrelated to SHLI.The bibliographical references of the included articles were exported as raw data and then treated using the CiteSpace tool to visualize the mapping of the SHLI research domain.Essential clusters and highly frequent keywords were quantified for further analysis.The clusters were automatically labeled by the algorithm of tf*idf for objective analysis.Basic bibliometric features,including article types and yearly trend in article numbers were also determined and discussed.Results:The modules of the keywords of interest presented clear boundaries with a high modularity score(Q=0.73).High-confidence clusters were identified,including bioactivity fingerprint(S=0.99),equal pupils(S=0.91),drug preparation department(S=0.87),difficulty in respiration(S=0.85),peristalsis(0.88),and Danshen powder injection(S=0.94).The characteristic keywords in terms of frequency and burstiness were Shuanghuanglian powder for injection(F=235,B=5.22),SHLI(F=112,B=11.39),and adverse drug reactions(ADRs;F=104,B=7.35).Conclusion:In the field of SHLI study,there are five major topic categories:bioactivity fingerprint;ADR mechanism and cause detection;proper preparation;clinical evidence accumulation;and efficacy in diseases with no effective treatment and combination usage.The trend for using modern methodologies from a science-based perspective to study SHLI will continue to exist.The causes of multi-factorial ADRs may be an important topic for future studies.Qin Zhang Guang Rong Qinggang Meng Mang Yu Qingyu Xie Jian Fang 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,2:3
11Dynamic Response of Phragmites australis and Suaeda salsa to Climate Change in the Liaohe Delta Wetland显示文摘Because of its unique geographical location and ecological function, the Liaohe Delta Wetland is important in maintaining regional ecological balance and security. Monitoring and evaluating changes in the wetland are therefore of great importance. We used medium-and high-resolution satellite data, meteorological station data, and site measurement data to analyze changes in the area and spatial distribution of Phragmites australis and Suaeda salsa in the Liaohe Delta Wetland from 1998 to 2017, as well as their growth response to the climate change. The results showed that during 1998–2017, the areas of both P. australis and S. salsa wetlands alternated through periods of decreasing,increasing, and then decreasing trends. The annual change in the area and spatial distribution range of S. salsa fluctuated more than that of P. australis. The annual variation of normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI) in P. australis wetland showed an upward trend from 1998 to 2017. The area of P. australis cover that was improved, unchanged, and decreased accounted for 81.8%, 12.3%, and 5.9%, respectively, of the total area;evaporation and wind speed were the main meteorological factors affecting the NDVI;and contribution rates of the climate change and human activities to the NDVI were 73.2% and 26.8%, respectively. The area with vegetation cover being mainly S.salsa that was improved, unchanged, and decreased accounted for 63.3%, 18.3%, and 18.4%, respectively, of the total area;and no meteorological factors significantly affected the NDVI of S. salsa in the region. 12Standard pancreatoduodenectomy versus extended pancreatoduodenectomy with modified retroperitoneal nerve resection in patients with pancreatic head cancer:a multicenter randomized controlled trial显示文摘Background:The extent of pancreatoduodenectomy for pancreatic head cancer remains controversial,and more high-level clinical evidence is needed.This study aimed to evaluate the outcome of extended pancreatoduodenectomy(EPD)with retroperitoneal nerve resection in pancreatic head cancer.Methods:This multicenter randomized trial was performed at 6 Chinese highvolume hospitals that enrolled patients between October 3,2012,and September 21,2017.Four hundred patients with stage I or II pancreatic head cancer and without specific pancreatic cancer treatments(preoperative chemotherapy or chemoradiation)within three months were randomly assigned to undergo standard pancreatoduodenectomy(SPD)or EPD,with the latter followed by dissection of additional lymph nodes(LNs),nerves and soft tissues 270◦on the right side surrounding the superior mesenteric artery and celiac axis.The primary endpoint was overall survival(OS)by intention-to-treat(ITT).The secondary endpoints were disease-free survival(DFS),mortality,morbidity,and postoperative pain intensity.Results:TheR1 ratewas slightly lower with EPD(8.46%)thanwith SPD(12.56%).The morbidity and mortality rates were similar between the two groups.The median OS was similar in the EPD and SPD groups by ITT in the whole study cohort(23.0 vs.20.2 months,P=0.100),while the median DFS was superior in the EPD group(16.1 vs.13.2 months,P=0.031).Patients with preoperative CA19–9<200.0 U/mL had significantly improved OS and DFS with EPD(EPD vs.SPD,30.8 vs.20.9 months,P=0.009;23.4 vs.13.5 months,P<0.001).The EPD group exhibited significantly lower locoregional(16.48%vs.35.20%,P<0.001)andmesenteric LNrecurrence rates(3.98%vs.10.06%,P=0.022).The EPD group exhibited less back pain 6 months postoperation than the SPD group.Conclusions:EPD for pancreatic head cancer did not significantly improve OS,but patients with EPD treatment had significantly improved DFS.In the subgroup analysis,improvements in bothOS and DFS in the EPD armwere observed in patients with preoperative CA19–9<200.0 U/mL.EPD could be used as an effective surgical procedure for patients with pancreatic head cancer,especially those with preoperative CA19–9<200.0 U/mL.Qing Lin Shangyou Zheng Xianjun Yu Meifu Chen Yu Zhou Quanbo Zhou Chonghui Hu Jing Gu Zhongdong Xu LinWang Yimin Liu Qingyu Liu MinWang Guolin Li He Cheng Dongkai Zhou Guodong Liu Zhiqiang Fu Yu Long Yixiong Li Weilin Wang Renyi Qin Zhihua Li Rufu Chen 2023Cancer Communications2023,43,2:3

18A robust polyacrylic acid/chitosan cryogel for rapid hemostasis显示文摘Currently,it is a challenge to develop hemostatic materials with high water absorption capacity and anti-fatigue properties for quickly preventing massive hemorrhage from arteries and visceral organs.A series of polyacrylic acid/chitosan(PAA/CS)cryogels were prepared by a cryostructurization technique to improve mechanical performance and hemostatic efficiency of chitosan(CS).In this system,the chemically cross-linked PAA network was used as a framework to improve water absorption behaviors and mechanical strength.The CS network was co-blended by hydrogen bonding and electrostatic interactions,both of which synergistically promoted hemostasis.These cryogels had high porosity(>94%),rapid water absorption rate(<3 s),high blood absorption capacity(>2000%),outstanding mechanical strength,and fatigue resistance.Moreover,the results of cytotoxicity and hemolysis demonstrated that the cryogels had good biocompatibility.Notably,the PAA/CS cryogels exhibited superior whole blood coagulation ability and red blood cell and platelet adhesion ability compared to those of commercial hemostatic dressing(gauze,gelatin sponges,and CS sponges).Based on these results,mouse femoral artery hemorrhage models and liver hemorrhage models were prepared to investigate the hemostatic ability of the prepared PAA/CS cryogels.Results suggested that the hemostatic ability of PAA5/CS cryogels was superior to that of commercial hemostatic materials.Therefore,the PAA/CS cryogels showed potential application in preventing massive hemorrhage from arteries and visceral organs.SHI MingYue JIANG LiJie YU ChaoJie DONG XiaoRu YU QingYu YAO MengMeng HE ShaoShuai YUE ZhiWei YAO FangLian ZHANG Hong SUN Hong LI JunJie 2022Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,5:1
19Mg,Ti-base surface integrated layer and bulk doping to suppress lattice oxygen evolution of Ni-rich cathode material at a high cut-off voltage显示文摘The Nickel-rich layered cathode materials charged to 4.5 V can obtain a specific capacity of more than 200 m Ah g^(-1).However,the nickel-rich layered cathode materials suffer from the severe capacity fade during high-voltage cycling,which is related to the phase transformation and the surface sides reactions caused by the lattice oxygen evolution.Here,the simultaneous construction of a Mg,Ti-based surface integrated layer and bulk doping through Mg,Ti surface treatment could suppress the lattice oxygen evolution of Nirich material at deep charging.More importantly,Mg and Ti are co-doped into the particles surface to form an Mg_(2)TiO_(4) and Mg_(0.5–x)Ti_(2–y)(PO_(4))_(3) outer layer with Mg and Ti vacancies.In the constructed surface integrated layer,the reverse electric field in the Mg_(2)TiO_(4) effectively suppressed the outward migration of the lattice oxygen anions,while Mg_(0.5–x)Ti_(2–y)(PO_(4))_(3) outer layer with high electronic conductivity and good lithium ion conductor could effectively maintained the stability of the reaction interface during highvoltage cycling.Meanwhile,bulk Mg and Ti co-doping can mitigate the migration of Ni ions in the bulk to keep the stability of transition metal–oxygen(M-O)bond at deep charging.As a result,the NCM@MTP cathode shows excellent long cycle stability at high-voltage charging,which keep high capacity retention of 89.3%and 84.3%at 1 C after 200 and 100 cycles under room and elevated temperature of 25 and 55°C,respectively.This work provides new insights for manipulating the surface chemistry of electrode materials to suppress the lattice oxygen evolution at high charging voltage.Fan Peng Youqi Chu Yu Li Qichang Pan Guangchang Yang Lixuan Zhang Sijiang Hu Fenghua Zheng Hongqiang Wang Qingyu Li 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,8:1
