2Inactivation of Staphylococcus aureus and Enterococcus faecalis by a direct-current,cold atmospheric-pressure air plasma microjet显示文摘Objective:A direct-current,cold atmospheric-pressure air plasma microjet(PMJ)was performed to inactivate Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus)and Enterococcus faecalis(E.faecalis)in air.The process of sterilization and morphology of bacteria was observed.We wish to know the possible inactivation mechanisms of PMJ and explore a potential application in dental and other temperature sensitive treatment.Methods:In this study,we employed a direct current,atmospheric pressure,cold air PMJ to inactivate bacterias.Scanning electron microscopy was employed to evaluate the morphology of S.aureus and showed rupture of cell walls after the plasma treatment and Optical emission spectrum(OES)were used to understand the possible inactivation mechanisms of PMJ.Results:The inactivation rates could reach 100%in 5 min.When the distance between the exit nozzle of the PMJ device and Petri dish was extended from 1 cm to 3 cm,effective inactivation was also observed with a similar inactivation curve.Conclusion:The inactivation of bacteria is attributed to the abundant reactive oxygen and nitrogen species,as well as ultroviolet radiation in the plasma.Different life spans and defensibilities of these killing agents may hold the key to understanding the different inactivation curves at different treatment distances.Ye Tian Peng Sun Haiyan Wu Na Bai Ruixue Wang Weidong Zhu Jue Lnang Fuxiang Liu 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,4:2
3SARS-CoV-2 crosses the blood-brain barrier accompanied with basement membrane disruption without tight junctions alteration显示文摘SARS-CoV-2 has been reported to show a capacity for invading the brains of humans and model animals.However,it remains undear whether and how SARS-CoV-2 crosses the blood-brain barrier(BBB).Herein,SARS-CoV-2 RNA was occasionally detected in the vascular wall and perivascular space,as well as in brain microvascular endothelial cells(BMECs)in the infected K18-hACE2 transgenic mice.Moreover,the permeability of the infected vessel was in creased.Furthermore,disin tegrity of BBB was discovered in the infected hamsters by administration of Evans blue.Interestingly,the expression of claudin5,ZO-1,occludin and the ultrastructure of tight junctions(TJs)showed unchanged,whereas,the basement membrane was disrupted in the infected animals.Using an in vitro BBB model that comprises primary BMECs with astrocytes,SARS-CoV-2 was found to infect and cross through the BMECs.Consistent with in vivo experiments,the expression of MMP9 was increased and collagen IV was decreased while the markers for TJs were not altered in the SARS-CoV-2-infected BMECs.Besides,inflammatory responses including vasculitis,glial activation,and upregulated inflammatory factors occurred after SARS-CoV-2 infection.Overall,our results provide evidence supporting that SARS-CoV-2 can cross the BBB in a transcellular pathway accompanied with basement membrane disrupted without obvious alteration of TJs.Ling Zhang Li Zhou Linlin Bao Jiangning Liu Hua Zhu Qi Lv Ruixue Liu Wei Chen Wei Tong Qiang Wei Yanfeng Xu Wei Deng-Hong Gao Jing Xue Zhiqi Song Pin Yu Yunlin Han Yu Zhang Xiuping Sun Xuan Yu Chuan Qin 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,10:2

5The effects of repeated propofol anesthesia on spatial memory and long-term potentiation in infant rats under hypoxic conditions显示文摘Propofol is widely used as an intravenous drug for induction and maintenance in general anesthesia.Hypoxemia is a common complication during perianesthesia.We want to know the effect of propofol on spatial memory and LTP(Long-term potentiation)under hypoxic conditions.In this study,84 seven-day-old SpragueeDawley rats were randomly assigned into six groups(n Z 14)-four control groups:lipid emulsion solvent t 50%oxygen(CO),lipid emulsion solvent t room air(CA),lipid emulsion solvent t 18%oxygen(CH),and propofol t 50%oxygen(propofoleoxygen,PO);and two experiment groups:propofol t room air(propofol eair,PA),and propofol t 18%oxygen(propofolehypoxia,PH).After receiving propofol(50 mg/kg)or the same volume of intralipid intraperitoneal(5.0 ml/kg),injected once per day for seven consecutive days,the rats were exposed to 18%oxygen,50%oxygen and air,until recovery of the righting reflex.We found that the apoptotic index and activated caspase-3 increased in the PH group(P<0.05)compared with the PA group,fEPSP(field excitatory postsynaptic)potential and success induction rate of LTP reduced in all propofol groups(P<0.05).Compared with the PO group,the fEPSP and success induction rate of LTP reduced significantly in the PA and PH groups(P<0.05).Moreover,compared with CH group,the average time of escape latency was longer,and the number of platform location crossings was significantly reduced in the PH group(P<0.05).Thus,we believe that adequate oxygen is very important during propofol anesthesia.Mang Sun Ruixue Yuan Hui Liu Jing Zhang Shengfen Tu 2020Genes & Diseases2020,7,2:2
6RDFAdaptor:Efficient ETL Plugins for RDF Data Process显示文摘Purpose:The interdisciplinary nature and rapid development of the Semantic Web led to the mass publication of RDF data in a large number of widely accepted serialization formats,thus developing out the necessity for RDF data processing with specific purposes.The paper reports on an assessment of chief RDF data endpoint challenges and introduces the RDF Adaptor,a set of plugins for RDF data processing which covers the whole life-cycle with high efficiency.Design/methodology/approach:The RDFAdaptor is designed based on the prominent ETL tool—Pentaho Data Integration—which provides a user-friendly and intuitive interface and allows connect to various data sources and formats,and reuses the Java framework RDF4J as middleware that realizes access to data repositories,SPARQL endpoints and all leading RDF database solutions with SPARQL 1.1 support.It can support effortless services with various configuration templates in multi-scenario applications,and help extend data process tasks in other services or tools to complement missing functions.Findings:The proposed comprehensive RDF ETL solution—RDFAdaptor—provides an easy-to-use and intuitive interface,supports data integration and federation over multi-source heterogeneous repositories or endpoints,as well as manage linked data in hybrid storage mode.Research limitations:The plugin set can support several application scenarios of RDF data process,but error detection/check and interaction with other graph repositories remain to be improved.Practical implications:The plugin set can provide user interface and configuration templates which enable its usability in various applications of RDF data generation,multi-format data conversion,remote RDF data migration,and RDF graph update in semantic query process.Originality/value:This is the first attempt to develop components instead of systems that can include extract,consolidate,and store RDF data on the basis of an ecologically mature data warehousing environment.Jiao Li Guojian Xian Ruixue Zhao Yongwen Huang Yuantao Kou Tingting Luo Tan Sun 2021Journal of Data and Information Science2021,6,3:2

13Dual-parameter shaping regularized full waveform inversion in frequency domain显示文摘The regularization contributes to the resolution and stability in geophysical inversion. The authors apply dual-parameter shaping regularization to full waveform inversion,aiming at two points:( 1) improving the boundary resolution,and( 2) increasing convergence. Firstly,the forward modeling is done,and the inversion is processed with the optimal solution. Compared with classical Tikhonov regularization scheme,the method reflects better resolution and stronger convergence. 14Hydroxyl radical production by abiotic oxidation of pyrite under estuarine conditions:The effects of aging,seawater anions and illumination显示文摘Pyrite is widely distributed in estuarine sediments as an inexpensive natural Fenton-like reagent,however,the mechanism on the hydroxyl radical(HO^(·))production by pyrite under estuarine environmental conditions is still poorly understood.The batch experiments were performed to investigate the effects of estuarine conditions including aging(in air,in water),seawater anions(Cl^(-),Br^(-)and HCO_(3)^(-))and light on the HO^(·)production by pyrite oxidation.The one-electron transfer dominated the process from O_(2) to HO^(·)induced by oxidation of pyrite.The Fe(oxyhydr)oxide coatings on the surface of pyrite aged in air and water consumed hydrogen peroxide while mediating the electron transfer,and the combined effect of the two resulted in a suppression of HO^(·)production in the early stage of aging and a promotion of HO^(·)production in the later stage of aging.Corrosion of the surface oxide layers by aggressive anions was the main reason for the inhibition of HO^(·)production by Cl^(-)and Br^(-),and the generation of Cl^(·)and Br^(·)may also play a role in the scavenging of HO^(·).HCO_(3)^(-)increased the average rate of HO^(·)production through surface-CO_(2) complexes formed by adsorption on the surface of pyrite.The significant enhancement of HO^(·)production under light was attributed to the formation of photoelectrons induced by photochemical reactions on pyrite and its surface oxide layers.These findings provide new insights into the environmental chemical behavior of pyrite in the estuary and enrich the understanding of natural remediation of estuarine environments.Ruixue Liu Yinshun Dai Yucheng Feng Shiwen Sun Xiaodong Zhang Chunjiang An Shan Zhao 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,1:1

16Covalent Triazine Frameworks(CTFs) for Photocatalytic Applications显示文摘Covalent triazine frameworks(CTFs) as a new type of porous organic polymers(POPs) with nitrogen-rich content, high chemical stability, visible light sensitive, metal-free and fully conjugated structure, have gained considerable attention in the last ten years owing to their great potential in extensive applications, especially for photocatalysis systems. In this review, we propose to provide current progress in the design and synthesis of CTFs, along with an emphasis on their photocatalytic applications. Firstly, a brief background including the development of photocatalytic areas is provided. Then, synthetic strategies of CTFs are described and compared. Furthermore, the evolution of CTF materials in photocatalysis fields and strategies for enhancing photocatalytic performance is presented. 18Crystalline covalent triazine frameworks manipulated by aliphatic amine modulator显示文摘Crystallization is an unsolved challenge in the chemistry of covalent triazine frameworks(CTFs) due to the poorly controlled simultaneous polymerization and crystallization processes. Herein, the synthesis of crystalline CTFs via the introduction of aliphatic amine as a dynamic modulator is reported. By optimizing the amount of aliphatic amine, the crystallization process can be controlled in an open system, resulting in the synthesis of crystalline CTFs. These crystalline CTFs exhibit much better photocatalytic hydrogen evolution performance, with highly ordered CTF-1-C3 demonstrating superior performance(10 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1)) compared with most reported CTF-1. 19The synergistic effects of PRDX5 and Nrf2 on lung cancer progression and drug resistance under oxidative stress in the zebrafish models显示文摘Previous studies have shown that PRDX5 and Nrf2 are antioxidant proteins related to abnormal reactive oxidative species(ROS).PRDX5 and Nrf2 play a critical role in the progression of inflammations and tumors.The combination of PRDX5 and Nrf2 was examined by Co-immunoprecipitation,western blotting and Immunohistochemistry.H2O2 was applied to affect the production of ROS and induced multi-resistant protein 1(MRP1)expression in NSCLC cells.The zebrafish models mainly investigated the synergistic effects of PRDX5 and Nrf2 on lung cancer drug resistance under oxidative stress.We showed that PRDX5 and Nrf2 form a complex and significantly increase the NSCLC tissues compared to adjacent tissues.The oxidative stress improved the combination of PRDX5 and Nrf2.We demonstrated that the synergy between PRDX5 and Nrf2 is positively related to the proliferation and drug resistance of NSCLC cells in the zebrafish models.In conclusion,our data indicated that PRDX5 could bind to Nrf2 and has a synergistic effect with Nrf2.Meanwhile,in the zebrafish models,PRDX5 and Nrf2 have significant regulatory impacts on lung cancer progression and drug resistance activities under oxidative stress.SITONG QIAN YING FANG CHENGYUN YAO YONGSHENG WANG ZHI ZHANG XIAOHUA WANG JIN GAO YONG FENG LEI SUN RUNYUE ZOU GUOREN ZHOU JINJUN YE RUIXUE XIA HONGPING XIA 2022Oncology Research2022,30,2:0
