1Bioactive skin-mimicking hydrogel band-aids for diabetic wound healing and infectious skin incision treatment显示文摘The treatment of diabetic chronic wounds remains a global challenge due to the up-regulated inflammation response,oxidant stress,and persistent infection during healing process.Developing wound dressing materials with ideal biocompatibility,adequate mechanical strength,considerable under-water adhesion,sufficient anti-inflammation,antioxidant,and antibacterial properties is on-demand for clinical applications.In this study,we developed a bioactive skin-mimicking hydrogel band-aid through the combination of tannic acid(TA)and imidazolidinyl urea reinforced polyurethane(PMI)(TAP hydrogel)and explored its potentials in various medical applications,including hemostasis,normal skin incision,full-thickness skin wounds,and bacterial-infection skin incision on diabetic mice.TA was loaded into PMI hydrogel network to enhance the mechanical properties of TAP hydrogels through multiple non-covalent interactions(break strength:0.28-0.64 MPa;elongation at break:650-930%),which could resist the local stress and maintain the structural integrity of wound dressings during applications.Moreover,owing to the promising moisture-resistant adhesiveness and organ hemostasis,outstanding anti-inflammation,antibacterial,and antioxidant properties,TAP hydrogels could efficiently promote the recovery of skin incision and defects on diabetic mice.To further simulate the practical situation and explore the potential in clinical application,we also verified the treatment efficiency of TAP hydrogel in S.aureus-infected skin incision model on diabetic mice.Yuxuan Yang Xiaodan Zhao Jing Yu Xingxing Chen Ruyue Wang Mengyuan Zhang Qiang Zhang Yanfeng Zhang Shuang Wang Yilong Cheng 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,11:2
2Jumonji domain-containing 6 (JMJD6) identified as a potential therapeutic target in ovarian cancer显示文摘Jumonji domain-containing 6(JMJD6)is a candidate gene associated with tumorigenesis,and JMJD6 overexpression predicts poor differentiation and unfavorable survival in some cancers.However,there are no studies reporting the expression of JMJD6 in ovarian cancer,and no JMJD6 inhibitors have been developed and applied to targeted cancer therapy research.In the present study,we found that the high expression of JMJD6 in ovarian cancer was correlated with poor prognosis in ovarian cancer.A potential inhibitor(SKLB325)was designed based on the crystal structure of the jmjC domain of JMJD6.This molecule significantly suppressed proliferation and induced apoptosis in a dose-dependent manner in SKOV3 cell lines as detected by CCK-8 cell proliferation assays and flow cytometry.A Matrigel endothelial tube formation assay showed that SKLB325 inhibited capillary tube organization and migration in HUVECs in vitro.We also observed that JMJD6 colocalized with p53 protein in the nucleus,with mRNA and protein expression of p53 as well as its downstream effectors significantly increasing both in vitro and in intraperitoneal tumor tissues treated with SKLB325.In addition,SKLB325 significantly reduced the intraperitoneal tumor weight and markedly prolonged the survival of tumor-bearing mice.Taken together,our findings suggest that JMJD6 may be a marker of poor prognosis in ovarian cancer and that SKLB325 may be a potential candidate drug for the treatment of ovarian cancer.Heng Zheng Yan Tie Zhen Fang Xiaoai Wu Tao Yi Shuang Huang Xiao Liang Yanping Qian Xi Wang Ruyu Pi Siyuan Chen Yong Peng Shengyong Yang Xia Zhao Xiawei Wei 2019Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2019,4,1:1
3An observed nocturnal ozone transport event in the Sichuan Basin,Southwestern China显示文摘The ozone(O_(3))pollution in China drew lots of attention in recent years,and the Sichuan Basin(SCB)was one of the regions confronting worsening O_(3)pollution problem.Many previous studies have shown that regional transport is an important contributor to O_(3)pollution.However,very few features of the O_(3)profile during transport have been reported,especially in the border regions between different administrative divisions.In this study,we conducted tethered balloon soundings in SCB during the summer of 2020 and captured a nocturnal O_(3)transport event during the campaign.Vertically,the O_(3)transport occurred in the bottom of the residual layer,between 200 and 500 m above ground level.Horizontally,the transport pathway was directed from southeast to northwest based on the analysis of the wind field and air mass trajectories.The effect of transport in the residual layer on the surface O_(3)concentration was related to the spatial distribution of O_(3).For cities with high O_(3)concentrations in the upwind region,the transport process would bring clean air masses and abate pollution.For downwind lightly polluted cities,the transport process would slow down the decreasing or even increase the surface O_(3)concentration during the night.We provided observational facts on the profile features of a transboundary O_(3)transport event between two provincial administrative divisions,which implicated the importance of joint prevention and control measures.However,the sounding parameters were limited and the quantitative analysis was preliminary,more integrated,and thorough studies of this topic were called for in the future.Ruyue Guo Guangming Shi Dan Zhang Yang Chen Chao Peng Chongzhi Zhai Fumo Yang 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,4:0
4Research Status of Water Quality Criteria and Standards and Analysis on the Transformation Methods显示文摘Under the vision of development for the new era,China has entered a stage of high-quality economic development and an important window period in which we have the conditions and ability to address the prominent issue of economic development and ecological protection in a coordinated way.However,all kinds of environmental benchmark values in China are lacking and need to be constantly supplemented and improved.Therefore,exploring and putting forward a simple and efficient method for the transformation of environmental criteria into environmental standards is an important basis for the rapid establishment of relevant environmental criteria system and the effective promotion of the development of environmental standards system towards a scientific and reasonable direction.In this paper,the water environment is taken as the research object.By analyzing the research progress of environmental criteria and standards at home and abroad,and the foreign method of transforming environmental criteria into environmental standards,combined with the problems faced in the process of transforming environmental criteria into environmental standards in China,an effective method to transform China's environmental criteria into environmental standards is analyzed.After analysis and comparison,it is found that the pollution reduction accounting method could achieve their simple and efficient conversion.Under the premise of obtaining environmental criteria for certain pollutants,environmental criteria for certain pollutants could be obtained by distributing pollutants reduction costs,and accounting economic benefits after reaching standard,thus obtaining the environmental standard of this type of pollutant,which provides reference to determine the environmental standard limits of such pollutants.Cheng LI Yihong WU Yang ZHAO Ruyu YUAN 2023Meteorological and Environmental Research2023,14,3:0
5Solid-state atomic hydrogen as a broad-spectrum RONS scavenger for accelerated diabetic wound healing显示文摘Hydrogen therapy shows great promise as a versatile treatment method for diseases associated with the overexpression of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species(RONS).However,developing an advanced hydrogen therapy platform that integrates controllable hydrogen release,efficient RONS elimination,and biodegradability remains a giant technical challenge.In this study,we demonstrate for the first time that the tungsten bronze phase H_(0.53)WO_(3)(HWO)is an exceptionally ideal hydrogen carrier,with salient features including temperature-dependent highly-reductive atomic hydrogen release and broad-spectrum RONS scavenging capability distinct from that of molecular hydrogen.Moreover,its unique pH-responsive biodegradability ensures post-therapeutic clearance at pathological sites.Treatment with HWO of diabetic wounds in an animal model indicates that the solid-state atomic H promotes vascular formation by activating M2-type macrophage polarization and anti-inflammatory cytokine production,resulting in acceleration of chronic wound healing.Our findings significantly expand the basic categories of hydrogen therapeutic materials and pave the way for investigating more physical forms of hydrogen species as efficient RONS scavengers for clinical disease treatment.Man Luo Qin Wang Gang Zhao Wei Jiang Cici Zeng Qingao Zhang Ruyu Yang Wang Dong Yunxi Zhao Guozhen Zhang Jun Jiang Yucai Wang Qing Zhu 2024National Science Review2024,11,2:0
6Cost-Utility Analysis of Screening for Diabetic Retinopathy in China显示文摘Background.Diabetic retinopathy(DR)has been primarily indicated to cause vision impairment and blindness,while no studies have focused on the cost-utility of telemedicine-based and community screening programs for DR in China,especially in rural and urban areas,respectively.Methods.We developed a Markov model to calculate the cost-utility of screening programs for DR in DM patients in rural and urban settings from the societal perspective.The incremental cost-utility ratio(ICUR)was calculated for the assessment.Results.In the rural setting,the community screening program obtained 1 QALY with a cost of$4179(95%CI 3859 to 5343),and the telemedicine screening program had an ICUR of$2323(95%CI 1023 to 3903)compared with no screening,both of which satisfied the criterion of a significantly cost-effective health intervention.Likewise,community screening programs in urban areas generated an ICUR of$3812(95%CI 2906 to 4167)per QALY gained,with telemedicine screening at an ICUR of$2437(95%CI 1242 to 3520)compared with no screening,and both were also cost-effective.By further comparison,compared to community screening programs,telemedicine screening yielded an ICUR of 1212(95%CI 896 to 1590)per incremental QALY gained in rural setting and 1141(95%CI 859 to 1403)in urban setting,which both meet the criterion for a significantly cost-effective health intervention.Conclusions.Both telemedicine and community screening for DR in rural and urban settings were cost-effective in China,and telemedicine screening programs were more cost-effective.Yue Zhang Weiling Bai Ruyue Li Yifan Du Runzhou Sun Tao Li Hong Kang Ziwei Yang Jianjun Tang Ningli Wang Hanruo Liu 2022Health Data Science2022,,1:0
7Three-dimensional porous In_(2)O_(3) arrays for self-powered transparent solar-blind photodetectors with high responsivity and excellent spectral selectivity显示文摘Transparent solar-blind ultraviolet photodetectors(SBUV PDs)have extensive applications in versatile scenarios,such as optical communication.However,it is still challenging to simultaneously achieve high responsivity,high transparency,and satisfying self-powered capability.Here,we demonstrated high-performance,transparent,and self-powered photoelectrochemical-type(PEC)SBUV PDs based on vertically grown ultrathin In_(2)O_(3) nanosheet arrays(NAs)with a three-dimensional(3D)porous structure.The 3D porous structure simultaneously improves the transmittance in the visible light region,accelerates interfacial reaction kinetics,and promotes photogenerated carrier transport.The performance of In_(2)O_(3) NAs photoanodes exceeds most reported self-powered PEC SBUV PDs,exhibiting a high transmittance of approximately 80%in the visible light region,a high responsivity of 86.15 mA/W for 254 nm light irradiation,a fast response speed of 15/18 ms,and good multicycle stability.The In_(2)O_(3) NAs also show excellent spectral selectivity with an ultrahigh solar-blind rejection ratio of 1319.30,attributed to the quantum confinement effect induced by the ultrathin feature(2-3 nm).Furthermore,In_(2)O_(3) NAs photoanodes show good capability in underwater optical communication.Our work demonstrated that a 3D porous structure is a powerful strategy to synchronously achieve high responsivity and transparency and provides a new perspective for designing high-performance,transparent,and self-powered PEC SBUV PDs.Nana Zhang Xinyu Gao Haoran Guan Simin Sun Jiaming Liu Zhitao Shao Qiyue Gao Yuan Zhang Ruyu Sun Guang Yang Feng Gao Wei Feng 2024Nano Research2024,17,5:0

9High-quality Fagopyrum esculentum genome provides insights into the flavonoid accumulation among different tissues and self-incompatibility显示文摘Common buckwheat(Fagopyrum esculentum)and Tartary buckwheat(Fagopyrum tataricum),the two most widely cultivated buckwheat species,differ greatly in flavonoid content and reproductive mode.Here,we report the first high-quality and chromosome-level genome assembly of common buckwheat with 1.2 Gb.Comparative genomic analysis revealed that common buckwheat underwent a burst of long terminal repeat retrotransposons insertion accompanied by numerous large chromosome rearrangements after divergence from Tartary buckwheat.Moreover,multiple gene families involved in stress tolerance and flavonoid biosynthesis such as multidrug and toxic compound extrusion(MATE)and chalcone synthase(CHS)underwent significant expansion in buckwheat,especially in common buckwheat.Integrated multi-omics analysis identified high expression of catechin biosynthesis-related genes in flower and seed in common buckwheat and high expression of rutin biosynthesis-related genes in seed in Tartary buckwheat as being important for the differences in flavonoid type and content between these buckwheat species.We also identified a candidate key rutindegrading enzyme gene(Ft8.2377)that was highly expressed in Tartary buckwheat seed.In addition,we identified a haplotype-resolved candidate locus containing many genes reportedly associated with the development of flower and pollen,which was potentially related to self-incompatibility in common buckwheat.Our study provides important resources facilitating future functional genomics-related research of flavonoid biosynthesis and selfincompatibility in buckwheat.Qiang He Dan Ma Wei Li Longsheng Xing Hongyu Zhang Yu Wang Cailian Du Xuanzhao Li Zheng Jia Xiuxiu Li Jianan Liu Ze Liu Yuqing Miao Rui Feng Yang Lv Meijia Wang Hongwei Lu Xiaochen Li Yao Xiao Ruyu Wang Hanfei Liang Qinghong Zhou Lijun Zhang Chengzhi Liang Huilong Du 2023Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,6:0
10Preparation and Properties of Vegetable-Oil-Based Thioether Polyol and Ethyl Cellulose Supramolecular Composite Films显示文摘Ethyl cellulose(EC),an important biomass-based material,has excellent film-forming properties.Nevertheless,the high interchain hydrogen bond interaction leads to a high glass transition temperature of EC,which makes it too brittle to be used widely.The hydroxyl group on EC can form a supramolecular system in the form of a non-covalent bond with an effective plasticizer.In this study,an important vegetable-oil-based derivative named dimer fatty acid was used to prepare a novel special plasticizer for EC.Dimer-fatty-acid-based thioether polyol(DATP)was synthesized and used to modify ethyl cellulose films.The supramolecular composite films of DATP and ethyl cellulose were designed using the newly-formed van der Waals force.The thermal stability,morphology,hydrophilicity,and mechanical properties of the composite films were all tested.Pure EC is fragile,and the addition of DATP makes the ethyl cellulose films more flexible.The elongation at the break of EC supramolecular films increased and the tensile strength decreased with the increasing DATP content.The elongation at the break of EC/DATP(60/40)and EC/DATP(50/50)was up to 40.3%and 43.4%,respectively.Noticeably,the thermal initial degradation temperature of the film with 10%DATP is higher than that of pure EC,which may be attributed to the formation of a better supramolecular system in this composite film.The application of bio-based material(EC)is environmentally friendly,and the novel DATP can be used as a special and effective plasticizer to prepare flexible EC films,making it more widely used in energy,chemical industry,materials,agriculture,medicine,and other fields.Ruyu Yan Jian Fang Xiaohua Yang Na Yao Mei Li Yuan Nie Tianxiang Deng Haiyang Ding Lina Xu Shouhai Li 2023Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,4:0
