2Discharge Characteristics of Long SF6 Gas Gap with and Without Insulator in GIS Under VFTO and LI显示文摘Gas insulator switchgears(GISs),widely used in electric power systems for decades,have many advantages due to their compactness,minimal environmental impact,and long maintenance cycles.However,very fast transient overvoltage(VFTO)increases caused by a rise in voltage levels can lead to GIS insulation failures.In this paper,a generating system of VFTO and standard lightning impulse(LI)is established.The insulation characteristics of SF6 gas with and without insulators under VFTO and standard LI are investigated.Experimental results show that the 50%breakdown voltages of the inhomogeneous electric field rod-plane gap under positive VFTO and standard LI are higher than that under negative VFTO and standard LI.The research shows that the 50%breakdown voltage under VFTO could be lower than that under standard LI at 0.5 MPa for the negative polarity.Moreover,the polarity effect of the insulator without defect is different from that with defect.Similarly,the breakdown voltage of the defective insulator under VFTO could be lower than that under standard LI by 8%.The flashover channel under VFTO is seen as more than that under standard LI.Based on the analysis of discharge images and experimental results,it is concluded that the polarity effect is related to the distortion effect of ion clusters formed by SF6 on the electric field.Additionally,the steepness and front time of impulse plays an important role in the initiation and further development of discharge on insulator surface.Finally,the research shows that different discharge characteristics between VFTO and standard LI may be caused by different wave fronts and oscillation on the tails of the impulses.Tao Wen Qiaogen Zhang Jingtan Ma Can Guo Haoyang You Yifan Qin Yu Yin Weidong Shi Weijiang Chen 2015CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2015,1,3:17
3Xiaotan Sanjie decoction attenuates tumor angiogenesis by manipulating Notch-1-regulated proliferation of gastric cancer stem-like cells显示文摘AIM: To determine the underlying mechanisms of action and influence of Xiaotan Sanjie(XTSJ) decoction on gastric cancer stem-like cells(GCSCs). METHODS: The gastric cancer cell line MKN-45 line was selected and sorted by FACS using the cancer stem cell marker CD44; the stemness of these cells was checked in our previous study. In an in vitro study, the expression of Notch-1, Hes1, Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF), and Ki-67 in both CD44-positive gastric cancer stem-like cells(GCSCs) and CD44-negative cells was measured by Western blot. The effect of XTSJ serum on cell viability and on the above markers was measured by MTT assay and Western blot, respectively. In an in vivo study, the ability to induce angiogenesis and maintenance of GCSCs in CD44-positive-MKN-45- and CD44-negative-engrafted mice were detected by immunohistochemical staining using markers for CD34 and CD44, respectively. The role of XTSJ decoction in regulating the expression of Notch-1, Hes1, VEGF and Ki-67 was measured by Western blot and real-time polymerase chain reaction.RESULTS: CD44+ GCSCs showed more cell proliferation and VEGF secretion than CD44-negative cells in vitro, which were accompanied by the high expression of Notch-1 and Hes1 and positively associated with tumor growth(GCSCs vs CD44-negative cells, 2.72 ± 0.25 vs 1.46 ± 0.16, P < 0.05) and microvessel density(MVD)(GCSCs vs CD44-negative cells, 8.15 ± 0.42 vs 3.83 ± 0.49, P < 0.001) in vivo. XTSJ decoction inhibited the viability of both cell types in a dose-dependent manner in vitro. Specifically, a significant difference in the medium-(82.87% ± 6.53%) and high-dose XTSJ groups(77.43% ± 7.34%) was detected at 24 h in the CD44+ GCSCs group compared with the saline group(95.42% ± 5.76%) and the low-dose XTSJ group(90.74% ± 6.57%)(P < 0.05). However, the efficacy of XTSJ decoction was reduced in the CD44- groups; significant differences were only detected in the high-dose XTSJ group at 48 h(78.57% ± 6.94%) and 72 h(72.12% ± 7.68%) when compared with the other CD44- groups(P < 0.05). Notably, these differences were highly consistent with the Notch-1, Hes1, VEGF and Ki-67 expression in these cells. Similarly, in vivo, XTSJ decoction inhibited tumor growth in a dose-dependent manner. A significant difference was observed in the medium(1.76 ± 0.15) and high-dose XTSJ(1.33 ± 0.081) groups compared with the GCSCs control group(2.72 ± 0.25) and the low-dose XTSJ group(2.51 ± 0.25)(P < 0.05). We also detected a remarkable decrease of MVD in the medium-(7.10 ± 0.60) and high-dose XTSJ(5.99 ± 0.47) groups compared with the GCSC control group(8.15 ± 0.42) and the low-dose XTSJ group(8.14 ± 0.46)(P < 0.05). Additionally, CD44 expression was decreased in these groups [medium-(4.43 ± 0.45) and high-dose XTSJ groups(3.56 ± 0.31) vs the GCSC control(5.96 ± 0.46) and low dose XTSJ groups(5.91 ± 0.38)](P < 0.05). 4Situation Awareness of Active Distribution Network:Roadmap,Technologies,and Bottlenecks显示文摘With the rapid development of local generation and demand response,the active distribution network(ADN),which aggregates and manages miscellaneous distributed resources,has moved from theory to practice.Secure and optimal operations now require an advanced situation awareness(SA)system so that operators are aware of operation states and potential risks.Current solutions in distribution supervisory control and data acquisition(DSCADA)as well as the distribution automation system(DAS)generally are not able to meet the technology requirements of SA.In this paper,the authors’participation in the project of developing an SA system as the basic component of a practical active distribution management system(ADMS)deployed in Beijing,China,is presented.This paper reviews the ADN’s development roadmap by illustrating the changes that are made in elements,topology,structure,and control scheme.Taking into consideration these hardware changes,a systematic framework is proposed for the main components and the functional hierarchy of an SA system for the ADN.The SA system’s implementation bottlenecks are also presented,including,but not limited to issues in big data platform,distribution forecasting,and security evaluation.Potential technology solutions are also provided.Jin Lin Can Wan Yonghua Song Renle Huang Xiaoshuang Chen Wanfang Guo Yi Zong You Shi 2016CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2016,2,3:13
5Treatment of CD20-directed Chimeric Antigen Receptor-modified T cells in patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma:an early phase IIa trial report显示文摘Patients with relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin lymphoma have a dismal prognosis.Chimeric Antigen Receptor(CAR)-modified T cells(CART cells)that targeted CD20 were effective in a phase I clinical trial for patients with advanced B-cell lymphomas.We performed a phase IIa trial to further assess the safety and efficacy of administering autologous anti-CD20 CART(CART-20)cells to patients with refractory or relapsed CD20^(+)B-cell lymphoma.Eleven patients were enrolled,and seven patients underwent cytoreductive chemotherapy to debulk the tumors and deplete the lymphocytes before receiving T-cell infusions.The overall objective response rate was 9 of 11(81.8%),with 6 complete remissions(CRs)and 3 partial remissions;no severe toxicity was observed.The median progression-free survival lasted for 46 months,and 1 patient had a 27-month continuous CR.A significant inverse correlation between the levels of the CAR gene and disease recurrence or progression was observed.Clinically,the lesions in special sites,specifically the spleen and testicle,were refractory to CART-20 treatment.Collectively,these results together with our data from phase I strongly demonstrated the feasibility and efficacy of CART-20 treatment in lymphomas and suggest large-scale patient recruitment in a future study.This study was registered at www.clinicaltrials.org as NCT01735604.Wen-ying Zhang Yao Wang Ye-lei Guo Han-ren Dai Qing-ming Yang Ya-jing Zhang Yan Zhang Mei-xia Chen Chun-meng Wang Kai-chao Feng Su-xia Li Yang Liu Feng-xia Shi Can Luo Wei-dong Han 2016Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2016,1,1:11
6Low-threshold topological nanolasers based on the second-order corner state显示文摘Topological lasers are immune to imperfections and disorder.They have been recently demonstrated based on many kinds of robust edge states,which are mostly at the microscale.The realization of 2D on-chip topological nanolasers with a small footprint,a low threshold and high energy efficiency has yet to be explored.Here,we report the first experimental demonstration of a topological nanolaser with high performance in a 2D photonic crystal slab.A topological nanocavity is formed utilizing the Wannier-type 0D corner state.Lasing behaviour with a low threshold of approximately 1μW and a high spontaneous emission coupling factor of 0.25 is observed with quantum dots as the active material.Such performance is much better than that of topological edge lasers and comparable to that of conventional photonic crystal nanolasers.Our experimental demonstration of a low-threshold topological nanolaser will be of great significance to the development of topological nanophotonic circuitry for the manipulation of photons in classical and quantum regimes.Weixuan Zhang Xin Xie Huiming Hao Jianchen Dang Shan Xiao Shushu Shi Haiqiao Ni Zhichuan Niu Can Wang Kuijuan Jin Xiangdong Zhang Xiulai Xu 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:10
7Xiaotan Tongfu granules contribute to the prevention of stress ulcers显示文摘AIM:To investigate the efficacy and potential mechanism of Xiaotan Tongfu granules(XTTF)in stress ulcers.METHODS:One hundred sixty rats were randomly divided into 4 groups(n=10)as follows:the model group(MP group),the control group(CP group),the ranitidine group(RP group)and the XTTF granule group(XP group).Rats in the MP group received no drugs,rats in the CP group received 0.2 mL of a 0.9%sodium chloride solution via oral gavage,and rats in the RP and XP groups received the same volume of ranitidine(50 mg/kg)or XTTF granule(4.9 g/kg).The cold-restraint stress model was applied to induce stress ulcers after 7 consecutive days of drug administration.Afterwards,rats were sacrificed at 0,3,6 and24 h.Gastric pH was measured by a precise pH meter;gastric emptying rate(GER)was measured by using a methylcellulose test meal;myeloperoxidase activity(MPO),macrophage migration inhibitory factor(MIF),proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA),and heat shock protein 70(HSP70)were measured by immunohistochemical staining;and mucosal cell apoptosis was measured by transferase dUTP nick end labeling.RESULTS:In the cold-restraint stress model,the development of stress ulcers peaked at 3 h and basically regressed after 24 h.Gastric lesions were significantly different in the RP and XP groups at each time point.Interestingly,although this index was much lower in the RP group than in the XP group immediately following stress induction(7.00±1.10 vs 10.00±1.79,P<0.05.Concerning gastric pH,between the RP and XP groups,we detected a statistically significant difference immediately after stress induction(0 h:4.56±0.47 vs 3.34±0.28,P<0.05)but not at any of the subsequent time points.For GER,compared to the RP group,GER was remarkably elevated in the XP group because a statistically significant difference was detected(3 h:46.84±2.70 vs 61.16±5.12,P<0.05;6 h:60.96±6.71 vs 73.41±6.16,P<0.05;24 h:77.47±3.17 vs 91.31±4.34,P<0.05).With respect to MPO and MIF,comparisons between the RP and XP groups revealed statistically significant differences at 3 h(MPO:18.94±1.20 vs 13.51±0.89,P<0.05;MIF:150.67±9.85 vs 122.17±5.67,P<0.05)and 6 h(MPO:13.22±1.54 vs 8.83±0.65,P<0.05;MIF:135.50±9.46 vs 109.83±6.40,P<0.05).With regard to HSP70,HSP70 expression was significantly increased in the RP and XP groups at 3 and 6 h compared to the MP and CP groups.In addition,comparing the RP and XP groups also showed statistically significant differences at 3 and 6 h.The expression of PCNA was higher in the RP and XP groups 3 h after stress induction.Between these two groups,small but statistically significant differences were observed at all of the time points(3 h:69.50±21.52 vs 79.33±15.68,P<0.05;6 h:107.83±4.40 vs 121.33±5.71,P<0.05;24 h:125.33±5.65 vs 128.50±14.49,P<0.05)except 0 h.With regard to apoptosis,the apoptotic activity in the RP and XP groups was significantly different from that in the MP and CP groups.The XP group exhibited a higher inhibition of cell apoptosis than the RP group at3 h(232.58±24.51 vs 174.46±10.35,P<0.05)and6 h(164.74±18.31 vs 117.71±12.08,P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The Xiaotan Tongfu granule was demonstrated to be similar to ranitidine in preventing stress ulcers.It exhibited multiple underlying mechanisms and deserves further study.Bing Yan Jun Shi Li-Juan Xiu Xuan Liu Yu-Qi Zhou Shou-Han Feng Can Lv Xiu-Xia Yuan Yin-Cheng Zhang Yong-Jin Li Pin-Kang Wei Zhi-Feng Qin 2013World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,33:6

9Autophagy Attenuates MnCl2-induced Apoptosis in Human Bronchial Epithelial Cells显示文摘Objective To investigate the role of autophagy in MnC l2-induced apoptosis in human bronchial epithelial 16 HBE cells.Methods Cell proliferation was measured by MTT assay.Mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP) and apoptosis were measured by flow cytometry.Autophagic vacuoles were detected by fluorescence microscopy.Cellular levels of apoptosis and autophagy-related proteins were measured by western blotting.Results 16 HBE cell proliferation was inhibited by Mn Cl2 in a dose-and time-dependent manner.Mn Cl2-induced 16 HBE cell growth inhibition was related to MMP depolarization prior to the induction of apoptosis.Our data revealed that Mn Cl2-induced apoptosis in 16 HBE cells was mediated by decreased expression of Bcl-2 and increased levels of cleaved caspase-3.It was observed that when we exposed 16 HBE cells to MnCl_2 in a dose-dependent manner,the formation of autophagic vacuoles and the levels of LC-3B-II were elevated.RNA interference of LC3 B in these Mn Cl2-exposed cells demonstrated that MMP loss and apoptosis were enhanced.Additionally,the pan-caspase inhibitor Z-VAD-FMK increased the cellular levels of Bcl-2 and decreased apoptosis,but did not affect the cellular levels of LC3 B in Mn Cl2-treated 16 HBE cells.Conclusion Mn Cl2 dose-and time-dependently inhibits 16 HBE cell proliferation and induces MMP loss and apoptosis.Autophagy acts in a protective role against Mn Cl2-induced apoptosis in 16 HBE cells.YUAN Zhun YING Xian Ping ZHONG Wei Jian TIAN Shi Min WANG Yu JIA Yong Rui CHEN Wen FU Juan Ling ZHAO Peng ZHOU Zong Can 2016Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2016,29,7:5

11Quercetin attenuates the progression of monocrotaline-induced pulmonary hypertension in rats显示文摘Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a progressive disease associated with increased constriction and remodeling of the pulmonary vasculature.Quercetin is a natural flavonoid and has a variety of pharmacological effects including improvement of endothelial cell function.However,its pharmacological effects on pulmonary hypertension have been rarely reported.We sought to observe the protective effect of quercetin in rats with monocrotaline induced PAH.We divided 30 male Sprague-Dawley rats randomly into three groups with ten rats in each group:the monocrotaline group,the quercetin group and the control group.We found that,compared with the controls,the mean pulmonary artery pressure (mPAP) and the right ventricular hypertrophy index in the monocrotaline group were significantly higher (P < 0.01).Quercetin caused a significant reduction both in the mPAP and right ventricular hypertrophy index compared with the monocrotaline group (P < 0.01) while no difference was found between the quercetin group and the control group (P > 0.05).Monocrotaline induced a marked increase in the wall thickness (WT) in small and mid-sized pulmonary arteries compared with the controls (P < 0.01).Monocrotaline also induced a marked increase in the wall area (WA) in small [(56.38±6.65)% in monocrotaline vs.(19.80±4.63)% in control] and mid-sized [(43.71±5.38)% in monocrotaline vs.(14.24±3.66)% in control] pulmonary arteries (P < 0.01).Quercetin treatment markedly reduced monocrotaline induced increase in both WT and WA (P < 0.01),which,however,still remained significantly elevated compared with those of the controls (P < 0.01).Furthermore,compared with controls,proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) expression in the pulmonary artery tissues was markedly increased by monocrotaline [(45.59±1.27) in monocrotaline vs.(9.64±0.69) in controls],which was significantly attenuated by quercetin.Our animal experiment indicated that quercetin could have protective effects on monocrotaline-induced PAH.Hanhua Gao Can Chen Shi'an Huang Bo Li 2012The Journal of Biomedical Research2012,26,2:4
12Mullite Oxidation Resistant Coating for SiC-coated Carbon/Carbon Composites by Supersonic Plasma Spraying显示文摘To improve the oxidation resistance of carbon/carbon (C/C) composites, mullite coating was prepared on the surface of SiC-coated C/C composites by supersonic plasma spraying. Phases and microstructures of mullite coating were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The coating primarily consists of a single phase of mullite (3Al2O3-2SiO2). The SEM results show that mullite coating was continuous and well bonded with the SiC inner layer without penetrating crack. Mullite coating exhibited good oxidation resistance. 13Engineering an enthesis-like graft for rotator cuff repair:An approach to fabricate highly biomimetic scaffold capable of zone-specifically releasing stem cell differentiation inducers显示文摘Rotator cuff(RC)attaches to humerus across a triphasic yet continuous tissue zones(bone-fibrocartilage-tendon),termed“enthesis”.Regrettably,rapid and functional enthesis regeneration is challenging after RC tear.The existing grafts bioengineered for RC repair are insufficient,as they were engineered by a scaffold that did not mimic normal enthesis in morphology,composition,and tensile property,meanwhile cannot simultaneously stimulate the formation of bone-fibrocartilage-tendon tissues.Herein,an optimized decellularization approach based on a vacuum aspiration device(VAD)was developed to fabricate a book-shaped decellularized enthesis matrix(O-BDEM).Then,three recombinant growth factors(CBP-GFs)capable of binding collagen were synthesized by fusing a collagen-binding peptide(CBP)into the N-terminal of BMP-2,TGF-β3,or GDF-7,and zone-specifically tethered to the collagen of O-BDEM to fabricate a novel scaffold(CBP-GFs/O-BDEM)satisfying the above-mentioned requirements.After ensuring the low immunogenicity of CBP-GFs/O-BDEM by a novel single-cell mass cytometry in a mouse model,we interleaved urine-derived stem cell-sheets into this CBP-GFs/O-BDEM to bioengineer an enthesis-like graft.Its high-performance on regenerating enthesis was determined in a canine model.These findings indicate this CBP-GFs/O-BDEM may be an excellent scaffold for constructing enthesis-like graft to patch large/massive RC tears,and provide breakthroughs in fabricating graded interfacial tissue.Can Chen Qiang Shi Muzhi Li Yang Chen Tao Zhang Yan Xu Yunjie Liao Shulin Ding Zhanwen Wang Xing Li Chunfeng Zhao Lunquan Sun Jianzhong Hu Hongbin Lu 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,10:4

15Discrete element modelling of railway ballast performance considering particle shape and rolling resistance显示文摘To simulate ballast performance accurately and efficiently,the input in discrete element models should be carefully selected,including the contact model and applied particle shape.To study the effects of the contact model and applied particle shape on the ballast performance(shear strength and deformation),the direct shear test(DST)model and the large-scale process simulation test(LPST)model were developed on the basis of two types of contact models,namely the rolling resistance linear(RRL)model and the linear contact(LC)model.Particle shapes are differentiated by clumps.A clump is a sphere assembly for one ballast particle.The results show that compared with the typical LC model,the RRL method is more efficient and realistic to predict shear strength results of ballast assemblies in DSTs.In addition,the RRL contact model can also provide accurate vertical and lateral ballast deformation under the cyclic loading in LPSTs.Yunlong Guo Chunfa Zhao Valeri Markine Can Shi Guoqing Jing Wanming Zhai 2020Railway Engineering Science2020,28,4:4
16High-energy all-fiber gain-switched thulium-doped fiber laser for volumetric photoacoustic imaging of lipids显示文摘We demonstrate a high-energy all-fiber short wavelength gain-switched thulium-doped fiber laser for volumetric photoacoustic(PA)imaging of lipids.The laser cavity is constructed by embedding a short piece of gain fiber between a pair of fiber Bragg gratings(FBGs).Through using three pairs of FBGs with operation wavelengths at1700,1725,and 1750 nm,three similar lasers are realized with a cavity length of around 25 cm.Under a maximum pump energy of 300μJ at 1560 nm,laser pulse energies of 58.2,66.8,and 75.3μJ are,respectively,achieved with a minimum pulse width of<16.7 ns at a repetition rate of 10 kHz.Volumetric imaging of lipids is validated through scanning a fat beef slice with a PA microscopy system incorporated with the newly developed source,and a lateral resolution of 18.8μm and an axial resolution of 172.9μm are achieved.Moreover,the higher shooting speed of the developed source can potentially allow for increasing at twice the frame rate of current intravascular PA imaging.CAN LI JIAWEI SHI XIATIAN WANG BOQUAN WANG XIAOJING GONG LIANG SONG KENNETH K.Y.WONG 2020Photonics Research2020,8,2:4
17Mortality Risk Attributed to Ambient Temperature in Nanjing, China显示文摘We examined the attributed fractions of all-cause, cardiovascular, and respiratory mortality that were attributed to extreme and moderate cold and heat during 2010-2016 in Nanjing. Our results showed that 12.81%, 19.78%, and 25.33% of all-cause, cardiovascular, and respiratory mortalities, respectively, were attributed to temperature. The highest attributed fractions for three types of mortality were at 4 ℃ and the attributed fractions were high around 4 ℃, which falls within the moderate cold temperatures. Although moderate cold has lower RR than extreme cold, it occurred on more days than did extreme cold. 18Understanding Sulfur Redox Mechanisms in Different Electrolytes for Room-Temperature Na-S Batteries显示文摘This work reports influence of two different electrolytes,carbonate ester and ether electrolytes,on the sulfur redox reactions in room-temperature Na-S batteries.Two sulfur cathodes with different S loading ratio and status are investigated.A sulfur-rich composite with most sulfur dispersed on the surface of a carbon host can realize a high loading ratio(72%S).In contrast,a confined sulfur sample can encapsulate S into the pores of the carbon host with a low loading ratio(44%S).In carbonate ester electrolyte,only the sulfur trapped in porous structures is active via‘solid-solid’behavior during cycling.The S cathode with high surface sulfur shows poor reversible capacity because of the severe side reactions between the surface polysulfides and the carbonate ester solvents.To improve the capacity of the sulfur-rich cathode,ether electrolyte with NaNO_(3) additive is explored to realize a‘solid-liquid’sulfur redox process and confine the shuttle effect of the dissolved polysulfides.As a result,the sulfur-rich cathode achieved high reversible capacity(483 mAh g^(−1)),corresponding to a specific energy of 362 Wh kg^(−1) after 200 cycles,shedding light on the use of ether electrolyte for high-loading sulfur cathode.Hanwen Liu Wei-Hong Lai Qiuran Yang Yaojie Lei Can Wu Nana Wang Yun-Xiao Wang Shu-Lei Chou Hua Kun Liu Shi Xue Dou 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,8:3
19ACBD3 is required for FAPP2 transferring glucosylceramide through maintaining the Golgi integrity显示文摘Glycosphingolipid (GSL) metabolism is involved in various physiological processes, including all major cell signaling pathways, and its dysregulation is linked to some diseases. The four-phosphate adaptor protein FAPP2-mediated glucosylceramide (GlcCer) transport for complex GSL synthesis has been studied extensively. However, the molecular machinery of FAPP2 as a GlcCer-transferring protein remains poorly defined. Here, we identify a Golgi-resident protein, acyl-coenzyme A binding domain containing 3 (ACBD3), as an interacting partner of FAPP2. We find that ACBD3 knockdown leads to dramatic Golgi fragmentation, which subsequently causes FAPP2 dispersal throughout the cytoplasm and a decreased localization at trans-Golgi network. The further quantitative Upidomic analysis indicates that ACBD3 knockdown triggers abnormal sphingolipid metabolism. Interestingly, the expression of siRNA-resistant full-length ACBD3 can rescue these defects caused by ACBD3 knockdown.
