1Morphological study on colonic pathology in ulcerative colitis treated by moxibustion显示文摘AIM To observe the therapeutic effect ofmoxibustion on ulcerative colitis and itsinfluence on the colonic mucosal morphology.METHODS Forty-six patients with ulcerativecolitis were randomly divided into themoxibustion with herbal medicine underneathgroup and the western medicine group.Thirtypatients were treated with the abovemoxibustion and 16 patients with Salicylayefapyridine(SASP).The colonic mucosa of 13patients in the moxibustion group was observedby colonoscopy before and after the treatment.Mucin was also analyzed by H.E and AB-PASstaining.RESULTS Seventeen patients were clinicallycured,12 were improved and 1 unchanged in themoxibustion group.In the control group,5patients were clinically cured,7 improved and 4unchanged.Thirteen patients with active UCwere taken as the subjects for histopathologicanalysis in this study.The colonic mucosallesions were remarkably improved and thecharacteristic of the mucin also changed.Inmost sections,the chronic inflammation ofmucosa was geatly ameliorated(P<0.01).Theinflammatory cell infiltratation much decreased and neutrophils,disapeared in most sections(P<0.001).The goblet cells significantlyincreased(P<0.001);crypt paracrypt abscessor mucosal ulceration was seen(P<0.001).CONCLUSION The rate of cure of ulcerative colitis by moxibustion with herbal medicine beneath is superior to that by SASP. 2APC and K-ras gene mutation in aberrant crypt foci of human colon显示文摘AIM To study the genetic alteration in ACF andto define the possibility that ACF may be a veryearly morphological lesion with molecularchanges, and to explore the relationshipbetween ACF and colorectal adenoma evencarcinoma.METHODS DNA from 35 CRC, 15 adenomas, 34ACF and 10 normal mucus was isolated by meansof microdissection. Direct gene sequencing of K-ras gene including codon 12, 13 and 61 as well asthe mutation cluster region (MCR) of APC genewas performed.RESULTS K-ras gene mutation frequency inACF, adenoma and carcinoma was 17.6% (6/34), 13.3% (2/ 15), and 14.3% (5/ 35)respectively, showing no difference ( P > 0.05)in K-fas gene mutation among three pathologicprocedures. The K-ras gene mutation inadenoma, carcinoma and 4 ACF restricted incodon 12 (GGT→GAT), but the other 2 mutationsfrom ACF located in codon 13 (GGC→GAC). K-res gene mutation was found more frequently inolder patients and patients with polypoidcancer. No mutation in codon 61 was found in thethree tissue types. Mutation rate of APO gene inadenoma and carcinoma was 22.9% (8/35) and26.7% (4/ 15), which was higher than ACF(2.9%) (P < 0.05). APC gene mutation incarcinoma was not correlated with age ofpatients, location, size and differentiation oftumor.CONCLUSION ACF might be a very earlymorphological lesion in the tumorogenesis ofcolorectal tumor. The morphological feature andgene mutation status was different in ACF andadenoma. ACF is possibly putative'microadenoma' that might be the precursor ofadenoma. 3Salt-responsive genes in rice revealed by cDNA microarray analysis显示文摘We used cDNA microarrays containing ~9,000 unigenes to identify 486 salt responsive expressed sequence tags (ESTs) (representing ~450 unigenes) in shoots of the highly salt-tolerant rice variety, Nona Bokra (Oryza sativa L. Ssp.Indica pv. Nona). Some of the genes identified in this study had previously been associated with salt stress. Howeverthe majority were novel, indicating that there is a great number of genes that are induced by salt exposure. Analysis of the salt stress expression profile data of Nona provided clues regarding some putative cellular and molecular processes that are undertaken by this tolerant rice variety in response to salt stress. Namely, we found that multiple transcription factors were induced during the initial salt response of shoots. Many genes whose encoded proteins are implicated in detoxification, protectant and transport were rapidly induced. Genes supporting photosynthesis were repressed and those supporting carbohydrate metabolism were altered. Commonality among the genes induced by salt exposure with those induced during senescence and biotic stress responses suggests that there are shared signaling pathways among these processes. We further compared the transcriptome changes of the salt-sensitive cultivar, IR28, with that of Nona rice. Many genes that are salt responsive in Nona were found to be differentially regulated in IR28. 4miR-129-5p suppresses proliferation, migration, and induces apoptosis in pancreatic cancer cells by targeting PBX3显示文摘Pancreatic cancer(PC)is the seventh m ost frequent cause of cancer-related deaths world wide with a high mortality.MicroRNAs(miRNAs)act as im portant regulators for the developm ent of PC and participate in the progression of PC.miR-129-5p was reported to regulate the progression of tum ors,such as thyroid cancer and gastric cancer.However,the function of miR-129-5p in PC is still unclear.In this study,the down-regulation of miR-129-5p was detected in PC tissues and PC cells.miR-129-5p was overexpressed or knocked down in AsPC-1 and BxPC-3 cells.The results showed that miR-129-5p overexpression suppressed proliferation,m igration and invasion,and induced apoptosis of PC cells,whereas miR-129-5p knockdown showed opposite effects:In addition,we found that pre-B-cell leukemia hom eobox 3(PBX3)overexpression prom oted proliferation,m igration and invasion,but reduced apoptosis of PC cells.PBX3 was identified as a target of miR-129-5p by inform atics analysis and dual luciferase reporter assay.Finally,our results indicated that miR-129-5p suppressed cell proliferation and m igration by targeting PBX3.This study dem onstrated that miR-129-5p could function as a tu m o r suppressor in the progression and developm ent of PC by targeting PBX3,providing a reliable prognostic factor and a new therapeutic strategy for PC.Zhisheng Qiu Xiaochun Wang Yuping Shi Mingxu Da 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,10:15

6Degradation Mechanism of Cationic Red X-GRL by Ozonation显示文摘The degradation mechanism of Cationic Red X-GRL was investigated when the intermediates, the nitrate ion and the pH were analyzed in the ozonation. The degradation of the Cationic Red X-GRL includes the de-auxochrome stage, the decolour stage, and the decomposition of fragment stage. During the degradation process, among the six nitrogen atoms of Cationic Red X-GRL, one is transferred into a nitrate ion, one becomes the form of an amine compound, and the rest four are transformed into two molecules of nitrogen. 9A fuzzy PID-controlled SMA actuator for a two-DOF joint显示文摘Shape memory alloy(SMA) actuator is a potential advanced component for servosystems of aerospace vehicles and aircraft. This paper presents a joint with two degrees of freedom(DOF) and a mobility range close to ±60 when driven by SMA triple wires. The fuzzy proportional-integral-derivative(PID)-controlled actuator drive was designed using antagonistic SMA triple wires, and the resistance feedback signal made a closed loop. Experiments showed that, with the driving responding frequency increasing, the overstress became harder to be avoided at the position under the maximum friction force. Furthermore, the hysteresis gap between the heating and cooling paths of the strain-to-resistance curve expanded under this condition. A fuzzy logic control was considered as a solution, and the curves of the wires were then modeled by fitting polynomials so that the measured resistance was used directly to determine the control signal. Accurate control was demonstrated through the step response, and the experimental results showed that under the fuzzy PID-control program, the mean absolute error(MAE) of the rotation angle was about 3.147. 10Mycoplasma pneumoniae Macrolide Resistance and MLVA Typing in Children in Beijing,China,in 2016:Is It Relevant?显示文摘Objective The aim of this study is to investigate the macrolide resistance rate and molecular type with multiple-locus variable-number tandem-repeat analysis(MLVA)of Mycoplasma pneumoniae of Beijing in 2016 in pediatric patients.Methods Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(PCR)was used to identify M.pneumoniae,and MLVA was performed.The domain V of the 23 S rRNA was sequenced to detect macrolide-resistant point mutations.We also investigated the activities of antibiotics against M.pneumoniae isolates in vitro.Results The PCR detection rate of M.pneumoniae in children in Beijing was 40%,and the macrolide resistance rate was 66%.The A2063 G mutation in the 23 S rRNA V region is the dominant mutation(137/146,93.84%),whereas the A2064 G mutation is rare(9/146,6.16%).Seventy-three samples were typed successfully by MLVA typing,including 86.3%(63/73)were MLVA type 4-5-7-2,and 13.7%(10/73)were MLVA type 3-5-6-2.No other types were found.No strains were resistant to levofloxacin or tetracycline.Conclusion In 2016,a specific decrease in the macrolide resistance rate occurred in Beijing.The detection rate and macrolide resistance rate of outpatients are lower than those of inpatients.The A2063 G mutants M.pneumoniae have high levels of resistance to erythromycin and azithromycin.The primary MLVA type is 4-5-7-2,followed by 3-5-6-2.No other MLVA types were detected.No strains resistant to tetracycline or levofloxacin were found in vitro.DOU Hai Wei TIAN Xiu Jun XIN De Li WEI Ran ZHOU Wei WANG Hong QIN Xuan Guang SHAO Jun Yan XU Bao Ping GE Li Xia SHI Da Wei 2020Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2020,33,12:9
11A two-step lineage reprogramming strategy to generate functionally competent human hepatocytes from fibroblasts显示文摘Terminally differentiated cells can be generated by lineage reprogramming,which is,however,hindered by incomplete conversion with residual initial cell identity and partial functionality. Here, we demonstrate a new reprogramming strategy by mimicking the natural regeneration route, which permits generating expandable hepatic progenitor cells and functionally competent human hepatocytes. Fibroblasts were first induced into human hepatic progenitor-like cells (hHPLCs), which could robustly expand in vitro and efficiently engraft in vivo. Moreover, hHPLCs could be efficiently induced into mature human hepatocytes (hiHeps) in vitro, whose molecular identity highly resembles primary human hepatocytes (PHHs). Most importantly, hiHeps could be generated in large quantity and were functionally competent to replace PHHs for drug-metabolism estimation, toxicity prediction and hepatitis B virus infection modeling. Our results highlight the advantages of the progenitor stage for successful lineage reprogramming. 12Nanosized Pd assembled on superparamagnetic core–shell microspheres:Synthesis,characterization and recyclable catalytic properties for the Heck reaction显示文摘A series of magnetically recyclable Pd/Fe3O4@g-Al2O3 catalysts were synthesized using the superparamagnetic Fe3O4@g-Al2O3core–shell microspheres as the supporter and nano-Pd particles assembled on g-Al2O3 shell as the active catalytic component.The structure of the catalysts was characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),N2adsorption–desorption and vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM).The catalytic activity and the recyclability properties of the catalysts for the Heck coupling reaction with aryl bromides and the olefins were investigated.The results show that the microspheres of the magnetic Pd/Fe3O4@g-Al2O3 catalysts were about 400 nm and the nano-Pd particles assembled on g-Al2O3 shell were about 3–4 nm in size.The saturation magnetization(MS) of the magnetic catalysts was sufficiently high to allow magnetic separations.In the Heck coupling reactions,the magnetic Pd/Fe3O4@g-Al2O3 catalysts exhibited good catalytic activity and recyclability.With Pd/Fe3O4@g-Al2O3(0.021 mol%) catalyst,the bromobenzene conversion and product yield reached about 96.8% and 91.2%,respectively,at 120 8C and in 14 h.After being recycled for six times,the conversion of bromobenzene and the recovery of the catalyst were about80% and 90%,respectively.The nano-Pd particles were kept well dispersed in the used Pd/Fe3O4@g-Al2O3 catalysts.Hao Yang Da Shi Sheng-Fu Ji Dan-Ni Zhang Xue-Fei Liu 2014Chinese Chemical Letters2014,25,9:7
13Change rules of a stratospheric airship's envelope shape during ascent process显示文摘Stratospheric airship is a special near-space air vehicle,and has more advantages than other air vehicles,such as long endurance,strong survival ability,excellent resolution,low cost,and so on,which make it an ideal stratospheric platform.It is of great significance to choose a reasonable and effective way to launch a stratospheric airship to the space for both academic research and engineering applications.In this paper,the non-forming launch way is studied and the method of differential pressure gradient is used to study the change rules of the airship's envelope shape during the ascent process.Numerical simulation results show that the head of the envelope will maintain the inflatable shape and the envelope under the zero-pressure level will be compressed into a wide range of wrinkles during the ascent process.The airship's envelope will expand with the ascent of the airship and the position of the zero-pressure level will move downward constantly.At the same time,the envelope will gradually form a certain degree of stiffness under the action of the inner and external differential pressure.The experimental results agree well with the analytical results,which shows that the non-forming launch way is effective and reliable,and the analytical method has exactness and feasibility.Zhao Shuai Liu Dongxu Zhao Da Wu Gang Yin Shi Zhou Pan 2017Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2017,30,2:7
14An action-based Markov chain modeling approach for predicting the window operating behavior in office spaces显示文摘Reliable energy and performance prediction for building design and planning is important for newly-designed or retrofitted buildings.Window operating behavior has an important influence on the ventilation and energy consumption of these buildings under different realistic scenarios.Therefore,quantitatively describing this behavior and constructing a prediction model are important.In this work,an action-based Markov chain modeling approach for predicting window operating behavior in office spaces was proposed.Two summer measurement data(2016 and 2018)were used to verify the accuracy and validity of the modeling approach.The opening rate,outdoor temperature,time distribution,and on-off curve were proposed as four inspection standards.This study also compared the prediction performance between the action-based Markov chain modeling approach with the state-based Markov chain modeling approach,which is the most popular modeling approach to model occupant window operating behavior.This study proved that the yearly variation of occupants’behavior performed a form of action that remained unchanged during a certain period.Meanwhile,the results also proved that the action-based Markov chain modeling approach can reflect the actual window operating behavior accurately within an open-plan office,which is a beneficial supplement for energy-consumption simulation software in a window-state prediction module.The state-based Markov chain modeling approach showed better stability and accuracy in terms of the opening rate,whereas the action-based Markov chain modeling approach showed good consistency with the measurement data in the on-off curves and in situations with little data.For the on-off curves,the accuracy of action-based modeling approach in the prediction of window open-state is 20%higher.Xin Zhou Tiance Liu Da Yan Xing Shi Xing Jin 2021Building Simulation2021,14,2:7

18Supramolecular adhesive materials from small‐molecule self‐assembly显示文摘Developing high‐performance adhesive materials not only aims at industrial and social requirements but also bears the fundamental importance of understanding the chemical factors of biological adhesion to develop biomimetic adhesive materials.Owing to the wide development of supramolecular chemistry,numerous supramolecular tools are exploited and proved to be reliable in the replacement of traditional covalent materials by reversible noncovalent or dynamic covalent materials.Taking advantage of these readyto‐use supramolecular toolboxes,supramolecular adhesive materials are rising and promising toward“smart”adhesives,that is,enabling responsiveness,reversibility,and recyclability.Compared with polymeric adhesive materials,low‐molecular‐weight adhesives feature chemically precise structure,easier engineering by molecular design,and hence higher reproducibility.However,it remains highly challenging to make high‐performance adhesive materials by low‐molecular‐weight feedstocks.This review will focus on the recent advancement in the construction of supramolecular adhesive materials by smallmolecule self‐assembly.The design guidelines and consideration on the molecular scale will be discussed and summarized on how to enhance the strength of adhesives.Meanwhile,owing to the dynamic nature of supramolecular self‐assembly,several“smart”functions of such materials will be presented,such as stimuli–responsiveness and adaptiveness.Finally,current challenges and future perspectives of this emerging field will be proposed.Chen‐Yu Shi Qi Zhang He Tian Da‐Hui Qu 2020SmartMat2020,1,1:5

Our study aimed to evaluate the association between apolipoprotein E(Apo E) genetic polymorphism and type 2 diabetes, and to provide clues for the etiology of T2 DM.Methods Based on the criteria of inclusion and exclusion, we extracted, pooled, analyzed and assessed the case-control studies of Apo E polymorphism and T2 DM published in Pub Med, Web of Science,Medline, Wan Fang, VIP, and CNKI databases by R soft-ware(version 3.4.3). We used Random-effect models when heterogeneity was present in between-study, and fixed-effect models otherwise.Results We had 59 studies covering 6,872 cases with T2 DM and 8,250 controls, and compared the alleles and genotypes of Apo E between cases and controls. When we conducted a comparison between Apo E ε4 and ε3 alleles, we produced a pooled OR of 1.18(95% CI: 1.09-1.28;P < 0.001). Apo E ε2/ε2 genotype displayed a possible association with T2 DM(OR = 1.46;95% CI: 1.11-1.93;P = 0.007), ε3/ε4 genotype showed a 1.11-fold risk(OR = 1.11;95% CI: 1.01-1.22;P = 0.039) and ε4/ε4 genotype had a1.71-fold risk of developing T2 DM(OR = 1.71;95% CI: 1.33-2.19;P < 0.001) when they were compared with ε3/ε3 genotype.Conclusions There is an association between Apo E polymorphism and T2 DM: allele ε4 and genotypes(ε2/ε2, ε3/ε4, and ε4/ε4) are associated with the increased risk for the development of T2 DM, and they may be risk factors for T2 DM.CHEN Da Wei SHI Ji Kang LI Yun YANG Yu REN Shu Ping 2019Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2019,32,11:4
