1Evaluation of Snow Depth and Snow Cover Fraction Simulated by Two Versions of the Flexible Global Ocean–Atmosphere–Land System Model显示文摘Based on historical runs, one of the core experiments of the fifth phase of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP5), the snow depth(SD) and snow cover fraction(SCF) simulated by two versions of the Flexible Global Ocean– Atmosphere–Land System(FGOALS) model, Grid-point Version 2(g2) and Spectral Version 2(s2), were validated against observational data. The results revealed that the spatial pattern of SD and SCF over the Northern Hemisphere(NH) are simulated well by both models, except over the Tibetan Plateau, with the average spatial correlation coefficient over all months being around 0.7 and 0.8 for SD and SCF, respectively. Although the onset of snow accumulation is captured well by the two models in terms of the annual cycle of SD and SCF, g2 overestimates SD/SCF over most mid- and high-latitude areas of the NH. Analysis showed that g2 produces lower temperatures than s2 because it considers the indirect effects of aerosols in its atmospheric component, which is the primary driver for the SD/SCF difference between the two models. In addition, both models simulate the significant decreasing trend of SCF well over(30°–70°N) in winter during the period 1971–94. However, as g2 has a weak response to an increase in the concentration of CO2and lower climate sensitivity, it presents weaker interannual variation compared to s2.XIA Kun WANG Bin LI Lijuan SHEN Si HUANG Wenyu XU Shiming DONG Li LIU Li 2014Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2014,31,2:3
2Structure variety and its effects on biological activity of tea polysaccharides显示文摘Tea polysaccharides(TPSs),one of the major bioactive ingredients in tea, have been widely studied due to their variety of biological activities, including antioxidant, cancer prevention,hypoglycemia,anti-fatigue,anti-coagulant,anti-obesity and immunomodulatory effect. The biological effectiveness of TPSs has direct relation with their structures such as monosaccharide composition, molecular weight, glycosidic linkages, conformation and others, which can be influenced by tea materials, processing methods, extraction and purification procedures among others.Comparing to the study of tea polyphenols, the exploration of TPSs in structural elucidation and biofunctionality is very preliminary.Yet several factors affecting the structural change of TPSs have been studied and identified.Consequently, the variation of some TPS biological activity brought by the change of TPS structures has been evaluated and preliminary correlation of structure activity relationship of TPSs has been performed. Therefore, this review aims to serve as a summary research report regarding the influencing factors on TPSs structures and consequential effects on the biological activities of TPSs.We hope to provide updated information and systematic references for future study and functional food development of TPSs.Ting Hu Peng Wu Jianfeng Zhan Weixin Wang Junfeng Shen Meiyan Wang Chi-Tang Ho Shiming Li 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,3:2

4Subjective tinnitus: lesion-induced pathological central homeostasis remodeling显示文摘Subjective tinnitus is the most common type of tinnitus, which is the manifestation of pathologicalactivities in the brain. It happens in a substantial portion of the general population and brings significantburden to the society. Severe subjective tinnitus can lead to depression and insomnia and severely affectspatients’ quality of life. However, due to poor understanding of its etiology and pathogenesis, treatmentof subjective tinnitus remains challenging. In recent decades, a growing number of studies have shownthat subjective tinnitus is related to lesion-induced neural plasticity of auditory and non-auditory centralsystems. This article reviews cellular mechanisms of neural plasticity in subjective tinnitus to providefurther understanding of its pathogenesis.Qi Zhang Lidong Zhao Weidong Shen Shiming Yang 2021Journal of Otology2021,16,4:2

9Variability of Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation in FGOALS-g2显示文摘The variability of Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation(AMOC) in the pre-industrial control experiment of the Flexible Global Ocean–Atmosphere–Land System model, Grid-point Version 2(FGOALS-g2) was investigated using the model outputs with the most stable state in a 512-yr time window from the total 1500-yr period of the experiment. The period of AMOC in FGOALS-g2 is double peaked at 20 and 32 years according to the power spectrum, and 22 years according to an auto-correlation analysis, which shows very obvious decadal variability. Like many other coupled climate models, the decadal variability of AMOC in FGOALS-g2 is closely related to the convection that occurs in the Labrador Sea region. Deep convection in the Labrador Sea in FGOALS-g2 leads the AMOC maximum by 3–4 years. The contributions of thermal and haline effects to the variability of the convection in three different regions [the Labrador, Irminger and Greenland–Iceland– Norwegian(GIN) Seas] were analyzed for FGOALS-g2. The variability of convection in the Labrador and Irminger Seas is thermally dominant, while that in the colder GIN Seas can be mainly attributed to salinity changes due to the lower thermal expansion. By comparing the simulation results from FGOALS-g2 and 11 other models, it was found that AMOC variability can be attributed to salinity changes for longer periods(longer than 35 years) and to temperature changes for shorter periods.HUANG Wenyu WANG Bin LI Lijuan DONG Li LIN Pengfei YU Yongqiang ZHOU Tianjun LIU Li XU Shiming XIA Kun PU Ye WANG Lu LIU Mimi SHEN Si HU Ning WANG Yong SUN Wenqi DONG Fang 2014Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2014,31,1:1

14Study on the Intelligent Control Model of a Greenhouse Flower Growing Environment显示文摘Intelligent control of the greenhouse planting environment plays an important role in improving planting efficiency and guaranteeing the quality of precious flowers.Among them, how to adapt the air humidity, temperature and light intensity in greenhouses to the different needs of the flower growth cycle is the key problem of intelligent control. Therefore,an intelligent flower planting environment monitoring and control system model(named)based on the Internet of Things and fuzzy-GRU network adaptive learning is proposed. The above three parameters in the greenhouse were used as model input parameters. The optimal growth humidity, temperature and illumination intensity of flowers are determined by the model, and the output temperature, humidity and illumination intensity act on the executing organ of the greenhouse room by the single-chip microcomputer. The model was evaluated using field greenhouse crops. The results show that the performance of this model is better than that of the PID model and fuzzy control model in simulation experiments and actual scene control.Compared with the flowers in the natural state, the plants of the flowers under systematic control were approximately 6 cm higher than those in the natural state on average, the blooming time of the flowers was approximately two days longer than that in the natural state, and the quality of the flowers was stable.Jinyang Zhen Rui Xu Jian Li Shiming Shen Jianhui Wen 2022国际计算机前沿大会会议论文集2022,,2:0
15Jinyinqingre Oral Liquid alleviates LPS-induced acute lung injury by inhibiting the NF-κB/NLRP3/GSDMD pathway显示文摘Acute lung injury(ALI)is a prevalent and severe clinical condition characterized by inflammatory damage to the lung endothelial and epithelial barriers, resulting in high incidence and mortality rates.Currently, there is a lack of safe and effective drugs for the treatment of ALI.In a previous clinical study,we observed that Jinyinqingre oral liquid(JYQR),a Traditional Chinese Medicine formulation prepared by the Taihe Hospital,Affiliated Hospital of Hubei University of Medicine, exhibited notable efficacy in treating inflammation-related hepatitis and cholecystitis in clinical settings. However, the potential role of JYQR in ALI/acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS)and its anti-inflammatory mechanism remains unexplored. Thus, the present study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects and underlying molecular mechanisms of JYQR in ALI using a mouse model of lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced ALI and an in vitro RAW264.7 cell model.JYQR yielded substantial improvements in LPS-induced histological alterations in lung tissues.Additionally,JYQR administration led to a noteworthy reduction in total protein levels within the BALF,a decrease in MPAP,and attenuation of pleural thickness. These findings collectively highlight the remarkable efficacy of JYQR in mitigating the deleterious effects of LPS-induced ALI.Mechanistic investigations revealed that JYQR pretreatment significantly inhibited NF-κB activation and downregulated the expressions of the downstream proteins, namely NLRP3 and GSDMD,as well as proinflammatory cytokine levels in mice and RAW2647 cells.Consequently,JYQR alleviated LPS-induced ALI by inhibiting the NF-κB/NLRP3/GSDMD pathway.JYQR exerts a protective effect against LPS-induced ALI in mice, and its mechanism of action involves the downregulation of the NF-κB/NLRP3/GSDMD inflammatory pathway.WANG Shuhui LEI Pan FENG Ying JIANG Mingzhu LIU Zegan SHEN Ting MA Shinan WANG Libo GUO Xingrong DU Shiming 2023Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2023,21,6:0
