| 1 | Effect of interaction between different CeO_(2)plane and platinum nanoparticles on catalytic activity of Pt/CeO_(2)in toluene oxidation显示文摘The plane exposure of support vitally affects the catalytic performance of the catalyst.In this work,CeO_(2)nanorods((110)plane exposure),nano-octahedrons((111)plane exposure)and nano-cubes((100)plane exposure)were prepared as the supports of Pt/CeO_(2)samples to investigate the effect of CeO_(2)plane exposure on total toluene oxidation.Characterizations reveal that the(110)plane of CeO_(2)is more helpful to the dispersion of Pt species,followed by(111)face.The improved dispersion of Pt species can enhance the metal-supports interaction,which promotes the electron transfer of CeO_(2)carrier to Pt nanoparticles and the adsorption-activation of O_(2),thereby facilitating the total oxidation of toluene via the Langmuir-Hinshelwood(L-H)mechanism.Therefore,Pt/CeO_(2)-r(nanorods)sample expresses excellent catalytic performance of toluene oxidation.Finally,the procedure of toluene total oxidation was studied by in-situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform(DRIFT)spectroscopy.We expect that this work can contribute to the development of an effective sample for the decomposition of volatile organic compounds(VOCs). | Shengsheng Chang Yong jia Yiqing Zeng Fuping Qian Lina Guo Shenghua Wu Jinli Lu Yunlong Han | 2022 | Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,11: | 6 |
| 2 | The Gravitational-wave physics Ⅱ: Progress显示文摘It has been a half-decade since the first direct detection of gravitational waves, which signifies the coming of the era of the gravitational-wave astronomy and gravitational-wave cosmology. The increasing number of the detected gravitational-wave events has revealed the promising capability of constraining various aspects of cosmology, astronomy, and gravity. Due to the limited space in this review article, we will briefly summarize the recent progress over the past five years, but with a special focus on some of our own work for the Key Project 'Physics associated with the gravitational waves' supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. | 7 | Common susceptibility variants of KDR and IGF-1R are associated with poststroke depression in the Chinese population显示文摘Background Depression,one of the most frequent complications after stroke,increases the disease’s burden and physical disability.Poststroke depression(PSD)is a multifactorial disease with genetic,environmental and biological factors involved in its occurrence.Genetic studies on PSD to date have mainly focused on the monoamine system and brain-derived neurotrophic factors.However,understanding is still limited about the influence of the single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)of other neurotrophic factors on PSD.Aims The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between seven vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)family gene variants that occur with PSD.Methods A multicentre candidate gene study from five hospitals in Jiangsu Province from June 2013 to December 2014 involved 121 patients with PSD and 131 patients with non-PSD.Demographic characteristics and neuropsychological assessments were collected.Theχ^(2)test was used to evaluate categorical variables,while the independent t-test was applied to continuous variables.SNPs in seven genes(VEGFA,VEGFB,KDR,FLT-1,IGF-1,IGF-1R and PlGF)were genotyped.Single-marker association for PSD was analysed byχ^(2)tests and logistic regression using SPSS and PLINK software.Results Patients with PSD included more women and those with lower education levels,lower body mass indexes,lower Mini-Mental State Examination scores,and higher scores on the 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale than non-PSD patients.Ninety-two SNPs with seven genes were genotyped and passed quality control.The rs7692791 CC genotypes,the C allele of KDR and the rs9282715 T allele of IGF-1R increased the risk for PSD(χ^(2)=7.881,p=0.019;χ^(2)=4.259,p=0.039;χ^(2)=4.222,p=0.040,respectively).In addition,the SNP rs7692791 of KDR was significantly associated with PSD by the logistic regression of an additive model(p=0.015,OR=9.584,95%CI:1.549 to 59.31).Conclusions Patients with rs7692791 C allele carriers or the CC genotype of KDR and the rs9282715 T allele of IGF-1R may have PSD susceptibility.Findings such as these may help clinicians to identify the high-risk population for PSD earlier and,thus,enable them to provide more timely interventions. | Yingying Yue Linlin You Fuying Zhao Kezhong Zhang Yanyan Shi Hua Tang Jianxin Lu Shenghua Li Jinxia Cao Deqin Geng Aiqin Wu Yonggui Yuan | 2023 | General Psychiatry2023,36,1: | 1 |

| 10 | Characterization of extracellular polymeric substances in the biofilms of typical bacteria by the sulfur K-edge XANES spectroscopy显示文摘A combined approach of physicochemical extraction and sulfur K-edge X-ray absorption near-edge structure(XANES) spectroscopy was applied to characterize the extracellular polymeric substances(EPS) of typical bacterial biofilms in this study. Physicochemical analysis showed variation of the contents of DNA,polysaccharide and protein in different fractions of EPS in different mediums. The sulfur K-edge XANES analysis yielded a variety of spectra.Spectral fitting of the XANES spectra utilizing a large set of model compounds showed that there was more reduced sulfur in both LB-EPS(loosely bound EPS) and TB-EPS(tightly bound EPS) of all the biofilms in LB medium than in R2 A medium. More oxidized sulfur was identified in LB-EPS than that in TB-EPS,suggesting different niches and physiological heterogeneity in the biofilms. | 11 | Fabrication of Anti-reflecting Si Nano-structures with Low Aspect Ratio by Nano-sphere Lithography Technique显示文摘Nano-structured photon management is currently an interesting topic since it can enhance the optical absorption and reduce the surface reflection which will improve the performance of many kinds of optoelectronic devices, such as Si-based solar cells and light emitting diodes. Here, we report the fabrication of periodically nano-patterned Si structures by using polystyrene nano-sphere lithography technique. By changing the diameter of nano-spheres and the dry etching parameters, such as etching time and etching power, the morphologies of formed Si nano-structures can be well controlled as revealed by atomic force microscopy.A good broadband antireflection property has been achieved for the formed periodically nano-patterned Si structures though they have the low aspect ratio(<0.53). The reflection can be significantly reduced compared with that of flat Si substrate in a wavelength range from 400 nm to 1200 nm. | 14 | Effects of Health Qigong Exercise on Depression and Anxiety in Patients with Parkinson’s Disease显示文摘Objective: This study explored the effects of Health Qigong exercise on depression and anxiety in patients withParkinson’s disease (PD). Methods: A total of 42 volunteers who met the inclusion criteria were recruited andrandomly allocated into the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group carried out60-minute sessions of Health Qigong exercise five times a week for 12 weeks while the control group did not performany regular physical exercise. Data on cognitive impairment, psychomotor retardation, somatic anxiety,weight loss and sleep disorders, the sum score of the 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS-17), stateanxiety, trait anxiety as well as the sum score of the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) were collected for threerepeated measurements (baseline, 6, and 12 weeks). Results: Significant differences were observed in depression,state anxiety, trait anxiety, cognitive impairment and psychomotor retardation in the experimental group but nodifference in somatic anxiety, weight loss and sleep disorders. Conclusion: Health Qigong exercise can pose positivepsychological effects and alleviate the depression and anxiety in patients with Parkinson’s disease. Methods: Glomerular mesangial cells of rat were cultured and preincubated with LXA4 at different concentrations, and then treated with TNF-α(10 ng/ml). DNA synthesis was assessed by the incorporation of [ 3H]-thymidine in mesangial cells. Expression of cyclin E protein was determined by Western blotting analysis. Activities of signal transducers and activators of transcription-3 (STAT3) were analyzed by electrophoretic mobility shift assay (EMSA). Results: TNF-α-stimulated DNA synthesis of mesangial cells, upregulation of cyclin E protein and STAT3 activities were inhibited by LXA4 in a dose-dependent manner. | 17 | Identification of potential key genes and key pathways related to clear cell renal cell carcinoma through bioinformatics analysis显示文摘Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is a common malignancy of the genitourinary system and is associated with high mortality rates. However, the molecular mechanism of ccRCC pathogenesis is still unclear, which translates to few effective diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers. In this study, we conducted a bioinformatics analysis on three Gene Expression Omnibus datasets and identified 437 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) related to ccRCC development and prognosis, of which 311 and 126 genes are respectively down-regulated and up-regulated. The protein–protein interaction network of these DEGs consists of 395 nodes and 1872 interactions and 2 prominent modules. The Staphylococcus aureus infection and complement and coagulation cascades are significantly enriched in module 1 and are likely involved in ccRCC progression. Forty-two hub genes were screened, of which von Willebrand factor, TIMP metallopeptidase inhibitor 1, plasminogen, formimidoyltransferase cyclodeaminase, solute carrier family 34 member 1, hydroxyacid oxidase 2, alanine-glyoxylate aminotransferase 2, phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 1, and 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA synthase 2 are possibly related to the prognosis of ccRCC. The differential expression of all nine genes was confirmed by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction analysis of the ccRCC and normal renal tissues. | 18 | Surgical treatment of pulsatile tinnitus related to the sigmoid sinus显示文摘Objective: Tinnitus-a common clinical symptom-can be categorized into pulsatile tinnitus(PT) and non-PT. Among these, PT is usually associated with sigmoid sinus symptoms, such as sigmoid sinus wall defect or diverticulum, for which various surgical treatments are available. We have discussed the clinical efficacy of surgery for sigmoid sinus-associated PT via the transmastoid approach in this study.Methods: We conducted a retrospective review of 4 patients who underwent surgery for sigmoid sinusassociated PT via the transmastoid approach at Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital from January to December2020. Of these, 2 patients had sigmoid sinus wall defect and 2 had sigmoid sinus diverticulum. Postoperative tinnitus grading and surgical efficacy were determined.Results: After surgery, PT dissolved in 3 patients, while tinnitus significantly decreased in 1 patient.During the follow-up period of 12-18 months, none of the 4 patients showed complications related to increased intracranial pressure or venous sinus thrombosis, and tinnitus symptoms disappeared in 3patients without recurrence, although 1 patient occasionally developed tinnitus.
