1Promoter methylation of Wnt/β-Catenin signal inhibitor TMEM88 is associated with unfavorable prognosis of nonsmall cell lung cancer显示文摘Objective:Recent research has indicated that altered promoter methylation of oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes is an important mechanism in lung cancer development and progression.In this study,we investigated the association between promoter methylation of TMEM88,a possible inhibitor of the Wnt/β-Catenin signaling,and the survival of patients with nonsmall cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods:Twelve pairs of tumor and adjacent non-tumor samples were used for microarray analyses of DNA methylation and gene expression.For validation,more than two hundred additional samples were analyzed for methylation using bisulfite pyrosequencing and for gene expression using q RT-PCR.Then the cell function were tested by wound healing,transwell,CCK8 and cell cycle assay.Results:Our analysis of patient specimens showed that TMEM88 methylation was higher in NSCLC tumors(82.2%±10.3,P<0.01)compared with the adjacent normal tissues(65.9%±7.2).The survival analysis revealed that patients with high TMEM88methylation had a shorter overall survival(46 months)compared with patients with low TMEM88 methylation(>56 months;P=0.021).In addition,we found that demethylation treatment could inhibit tumor cell proliferation,migration,and invasion,which was supportive of an association between methylation and survival.Conclusions:Based on these consistent observations,we concluded that TMEM88 may play an important role in NSCLC progression and that promoter methylation of TMEM88 may serve as a biomarker for NSCLC prognosis and treatment.Rongna Ma Nannan Feng Xiao Yu Hongyan Lin Xiaohong Zhang Oumin Shi Huan Zhang Shuo Zhang Lei Li Min Zheng Ming Gao Herbert Yu Biyun Qian 2017Cancer Biology & Medicine2017,14,4:6

3miR-4651 inhibits cell proliferation of gingival mesenchymal stem cells by inhibiting HMGA2 under nifedipine treatment显示文摘Drug-induced gingival overgrowth(DIGO) is recognized as a side effect of nifedipine(NIF);however, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain unknown. In this study, we found that overexpressed mi R-4651 inhibits cell proliferation and induces G0/G1-phase arrest in gingival mesenchymal stem cells(GMSCs) with or without NIF treatment. Furthermore, sequential window acquisition of all theoretical mass spectra(SWATH-MS) analysis, bioinformatics analysis, and dual-luciferase report assay results confirmed that high-mobility group AT-hook 2(HMGA2) is the downstream target gene of mi R-4651. Overexpression of HMGA2 enhanced GMSC proliferation and accelerated the cell cycle with or without NIF treatment. The present study demonstrates that mi R-4651 inhibits the proliferation of GMSCs and arrests the cell cycle at the G0/G1 phase by upregulating cyclin D and CDK2 while downregulating cyclin E through inhibition of HMGA2 under NIF stimulation. 4Promoting nitric oxide electroreduction to ammonia over electron-rich Cu modulated by Ru doping显示文摘Electrocatalytic nitric oxide(NO)reduction is a promising strategy to produce ammonia.Developing a facile approach to synthesize efficient catalysts with enhanced NO electroreduction performance is highly desirable.Here,a series of Ru-doped Cu materials are constructed through in situ electroreduction of corresponding metal hydroxides.The optimized Ru_(0.05)Cu_(0.95)exhibits superior electrocatalytic performance for ammonia synthesis by using NO/Ar(1/4,n/n)as the feedstocks(Faradaic efficiency:64.9%,yield rate:17.68μmol cm^(-2)h^(-1)),obviously outperforming Cu counterpart(Faradaic efficiency:33.0%,yield rate:5.73μmol cm^(-2)h^(-1)).Electrochemical in situ Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy and online differential electrochemical mass spectrometry(DEMS)are adopted to detect intermediates and unveil the possible reaction pathway.The downshift of the Cu d-band center induced by Ru doping facilitates the rate-limiting hydrogenation step and decreases the desorption energy of NH_(3),leading to high Faradaic efficiency and yield of ammonia.Jiangwei Shi Changhong Wang Rong Yang Fanpeng Chen Nannan Meng Yifu Yu Bin Zhang 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,9:2

7Molten salt as ultrastrong polar solvent enables the most straightforward pyrolysis towards highly efficient and stable single-atom electrocatalyst显示文摘Currently,pyrolysis as the most widely used method still has some key issues not well resolved for synthesis of carbon-supported single-atom catalysts(C-SACs),e.g.,the sintering of metal atoms at high temperature as well as the high cost and complicated preparations of precursors.In this report,molten salts are demonstrated to be marvellous medium for preparation of C-SACs by pyrolysis of small molecular precursors(ionic liquid).The ultrastrong polarity on one hand establishes robust interaction with precursor and enables better carbonization,resulting in largely enhanced yield.On the other hand,the aggregation of metal atoms is effectively refrained while no nanoparticle or cluster is formed.By this strategy,a C-SAC with atomically dispersed Fe-N_(4) sites and a high specific area over 2000 m^(2) g^(-1) is obtained,which illustrates high ORR activity in both acid and alkaline media.Moreover,this SAC exhibits superior methanol tolerance and stability after acid soaking at 85℃ for 48 h.It is believed that the molten-salts-assisted pyrolysis can be developed into a routine strategy as it not only can largely simply the synthesis of C-SACs,but also can be extended to prepare other types of SACs.Nannan Li Wei Liu Chao Zhu Ce Hao Jingya Guo Hongyu Jing Jinwen Hu Cuncun Xin Danyang Wu Yantao Shi 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,3:1

10Comparison of Methods for Estimating Reference Crop Evapotranspiration in Beijing显示文摘Based on the meteorological data from 1951 to 2015 in Beijing,the reference crop evapotranspiration(ET_0)in Beijing was estimated using the FAO 56 Penman-Monteith method,the FAO PPP-17 Penman method,the Hargreaves method,and the Priestley-Taylor method.The results showed that the monthly and annual changing trends of ET0 estimated by the four methods are basically the same.In general,the ET0 values estimated by the Hargreaves method are the closest to those of the standard method FAO 56 Penman-Monteith,while the difference between the FAO PPP-17 Penman method and the standard method is the biggest.The Hargreaves method is the most suitable method for the estimation of ET0 in Beijing.Cao Yajie Shi Youyu Mo Nannan Li Xin 2019Meteorological and Environmental Research2019,10,6:1
11AMPK-ChREBP axis mediates de novo milk fatty acid synthesis promoted by glucose in the mammary gland of lactating goats显示文摘To investigate the role of glucose in regulating milk fatty acid synthesis,6 lactating Guanzhong dairy goats were infused with 0,60,or 100 g/d glucose via the external pubic artery in a 33 repeated Latin square experiment.A concomitant in vitro experiment was conducted to investigate possible mechanisms whereby glucose regulates milk fatty acid synthesis.RNA sequencing was used for cellular transcriptome analysis.Drugs,MK-2206,rapamycin,and dorsomorphin were used to block cellular mammalian AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK),AKT serine/threonine kinase 1,and mechanistic target of rapamycin kinase signaling pathways,respectively.Carbohydrate response element binding protein(ChREBP)was knockdown and overexpressed to investigate its role in regulating milk fatty acid synthesis in mammary epithelial cells.Glucose infusion linearly elevated the concentration of C8:0(P=0.039)and C10:0(P=0.041)in milk fat while it linearly decreased(P=0.049)that of C16:0.This result was in agreement with the upregulation of genes related to de novo synthesis of fatty acids and lipid droplet formation,including adipose differentiation-related protein,butyrophilin subfamily 1 member A1,fatty acid synthase(FASN)and ChREBP.Their expression increased(P<0.05)linearly in the lactating goat mammary gland.In vitro,glucose linearly stimulated the expression of genes related to de novo synthesis of fatty acids and cellular triacylglycerol in cultured mammary epithelial cells.RNA sequencing and inhibition studies revealed that glucose induced transcriptomic changes increasing lipogenic pathways,with AMPK responding to glucose by controlling ChREBP and FASN.Knockdown and overexpression of ChREBP highlighted its essential role in lipogenesis.The knockdown and overexpression of ChREBP protein also revealed an essential role in regulating the de novo synthesis of fatty acids.Collectively,our data highlight that glucose supplementation promotes de novo fatty acid synthesis via the AMPK-ChREBP axis,hence increasing milk fat yield in the goat mammary gland.Results from the current study provide possible strategies to manipulate the fatty acid composition as well as improve ruminant milk quality.Hengbo Shi Nannan Jiang Ling Wei Jie Cai Wenying Zhang Qianming Jiang Juan JLoor Jianxin Liu 2022Animal Nutrition2022,,3:1

15Distortion Function for Emoji Image Steganography显示文摘Nowadays,emoji image is widely used in social networks.To achieve covert communication in emoji images,this paper proposes a distortion function for emoji images steganography.The profile of image content,the intra-and inter-frame correlation are taken into account in the proposed distortion function to fit the unique properties of emoji image.The three parts are combined together to measure the risks of detection due to the modification on the cover data.With the popular syndrome trellis coding(STC),the distortion of stego emoji image is minimized using the proposed distortion function.As a result,less detectable artifacts could be found in the stego images.Experimental results show that the proposed distortion function performs much higher undetectability than current state-of-the-art distortion function HILL which is designed for natural image.Lina Shi Zichi Wang Zhenxing Qian Nannan Huang Pauline Puteaux Xinpeng Zhang 2019Computers, Materials & Continua2019,,6:0

17Correlation analysis between the Aral Sea shrinkage and the Amu Darya River显示文摘The shrinkage of the Aral Sea,which is closely related to the Amu Darya River,strongly affects the sustainability of the local natural ecosystem,agricultural production,and human well-being.In this study,we used the Bayesian Estimator of Abrupt change,Seasonal change,and Trend(BEAST)model to detect the historical change points in the variation of the Aral Sea and the Amu Darya River and analyse the causes of the Aral Sea shrinkage during the 1950–2016 period.Further,we applied multifractal detrend cross-correlation analysis(MF-DCCA)and quantitative analysis to investigate the responses of the Aral Sea to the runoff in the Amu Darya River,which is the main source of recharge to the Aral Sea.Our results showed that two significant trend change points in the water volume change of the Aral Sea occurred,in 1961 and 1974.Before 1961,the water volume in the Aral Sea was stable,after which it began to shrink,with a shrinkage rate fluctuating around 15.21 km3/a.After 1974,the water volume of the Aral Sea decreased substantially at a rate of up to 48.97 km3/a,which was the highest value recorded in this study.In addition,although the response of the Aral Sea's water volume to its recharge runoff demonstrated a complex non-linear relationship,the replenishment of the Aral Sea by the runoff in the lower reaches of the Amu Darya River was identified as the dominant factor affecting the Aral Sea shrinkage.Based on the scenario analyses,we concluded that it is possible to slow down the retreat of the Aral Sea and restore its ecosystem by increasing the efficiency of agricultural water use,decreasing agricultural water use in the middle and lower reaches,reducing ineffective evaporation from reservoirs and wetlands,and increasing the water coming from the lower reaches of the Amu Darya River to the 1961–1973 level.These measures would maintain and stabilise the water area and water volume of the Aral Sea in a state of ecological restoration.Therefore,this study focuses on how human consumption of recharge runoff affects the Aral Sea and provides scientific perspective on its ecological conservation and sustainable development.WANG Min CHEN Xi CAO Liangzhong KURBAN Alishir SHI Haiyang WU Nannan EZIZ Anwar YUAN Xiuliang Philippe DE MAEYER 2023Journal of Arid Land2023,15,7:0

19Nano-sized alumina supported palladium catalysts for methane combustion with excellent thermal stability显示文摘Pd/Al_(2)O_(3)catalysts supported on Al_(2)O_(3)of different particle sizes were synthesized and applied in methane combustion.These catalysts were systematically characterized by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET),X-ray diffraction (XRD),high resolution-transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM),high-angle annular dark?eld-scanning transmission electron microscopy (HAADF-STEM),H_(2)-temperature-programmed reduction (H_(2)-TPR),O_(2)-temperature-programmed oxidation (O_(2)-TPO),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS),and X-ray absorption?ne structure (XAFS).The characterization results indicated that nanosized Al_(2)O_(3)enabled the uniform dispersion of palladium nanoparticles,thus contributing to the excellent catalytic performance of these nano-sized Pd/Al_(2)O_(3)catalysts.Among them,Pd/Al_(2)O_(3)-nano-10 (Pd/Al_(2)O_(3)supported by alumina with an average particle size of 10 nm)showed superior catalytic activity and stability for methane oxidation under harsh practical conditions.It maintained excellent catalytic performance for methane oxidation for50 hr and remained stable even after harsh hydrothermal aging in 10 vol.%steam at 800℃ for 16 hr.Characterization results revealed that the strong metal-support interactions and physical barriers provided by Al_(2)O_(3)-nano-10 suppressed the coalescence ripening of palladium species,and thus contributed to the superior sintering resistance of the Pd/Al_(2)O_(3)-nano-10 catalyst.Wei Shi Guangyan Xu Xuewang Han Yingjie Wang Zhi Liu Sen Xue Nannan Sun Xiaoyan Shi Yunbo Yu Hong He 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,4:0
