| 1 | Role of the nerve growth factor precursor-neurotrophin receptor p75 and sortilin pathway on apoptosis in the brain of patients with intracerebral hemorrhage显示文摘This study demonstrated that brain areas surrounding the site of hematoma following intracerebral hemorrhage are characterized by significantly increased apoptosis and expression of neurotrophin receptor p75 and sortilin. However, as detected by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling and immunohistochemical staining, there was no significant change in nerve growth factor precursor expression levels. The appearance of neurotrophin receptor p75 expressing cells was positively correlated with cells that were detected by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling. | 4 | Neural basis of Chinese phonological processing under picture stimulus A functional magnetic resonance imaging study显示文摘Studies concerning phonological processing mainly use written stimuli. Functional magnetic resonance imaging was used to investigate the brain regions related to the phonological processing under the picture stimulus in the rhyme task of Chinese language. Results of the test in 13 healthy college students whose native language is Chinese showed the extensive activation in the frontal lobe, parietal lobe and the occipitotemporal cortex, including the inferior frontal gyrus, middle frontal gyrus, supramarginal gyrus and medial occipitotemporal gyrus under the picture stimuli. | 6 | Structure, function, and mechanism of the TNFAIP8 (TIPE) family of proteins in cancer and inflammation显示文摘The multiple roles of the tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α-inducible protein 8(TNFAIP8),also named TIPE family of proteins have been shown in tumor and inflammation progression and regulation of cellular autophagy and apoptosis.In this review,we found that the TIPE family showed highly homologous sequences and conserved functional domains,such as the death effector domain(DED)-like domain but displayed different roles and mechanisms in different biological activities.For example,while TIPE is primarily associated with tumor progression and antitumor drug resistance,TIPE1 suppresses tumor progression in most instances.TIPE2 has multiple roles in tumor progression regulation,and antitumor drug resistance.Moreover,TIPE2 was also involved in inflammatory response regulation,tumor typing,and staging.A few studies reported that TIPE3 was engaged in tumor development by activating the phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase(PI3K)/protein kinase B(AKT)signaling pathway.The structure,function,and mechanism of the TIPE family in cancer and inflammation have been summarized in this review.This might serve as a reference for further research on the TIPE family and shed new light on the crosstalk among antitumor responses,inflammation,and immunology. | ZIPENG LIN CHUXI TANG LE KANG GUANXI LAI SHIWEN LIU YIXIANG WU HUIQUN TIAN SONG LIU | 2023 | BIOCELL2023,47,10: | 0 |
| 7 | Magnesium promotes vascularization and osseointegration in diabetic states显示文摘Diabetes has long been considered a risk factor in implant therapy and impaired wound healing in soft and hard oral tissues.Magnesium has been proved to promote bone healing under normal conditions.Here,we elucidate the mechanism by which Mg~(2+)promotes angiogenesis and osseointegration in diabetic status.We generated a diabetic mice model and demonstrated thealveolar bone healing was compromised,with significantly decreased angiogenesis.We then developed Mg-coating implants with hydrothermal synthesis.These implants successfully improved the vascularization and osseointegration in diabetic status.Mechanically,Mg~(2+)promoted the degradation of Kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1 (Keap1) and the nucleation of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) by up-regulating the expression of sestrin 2 (SESN2) in endothelial cells,thus reducing theelevated levels of oxidative stress in mitochondria and relieving endothelial cell dysfunction under hyperglycemia.Altogether,our data suggested that Mg~(2+)promoted angiogenesis and osseointegration in diabetic mice by regulating endothelial mitochondria metabolism. | Linfeng Liu Feiyu Wang Wei Song Danting Zhang Weimin Lin Qi Yin Qian Wang Hanwen Li Quan Yuan Shiwen Zhang | 2024 | International Journal of Oral Science2024,16,1: | 0 |

| 10 | Full-profile pharmacokinetics, anticancer activity and toxicity of an extended release trivalent PEGylated irinotecan prodrug显示文摘Irinotecan is an anticancer topoisomerase I inhibitor that acts as a prodrug of the active metabolite,SN-38.Unfortunately,the limited utility of irinotecan is attributed to its pH-dependent stability,short half-life and dose-limiting toxicity.To address this problem,a novel trivalent PEGylated prodrug(PEG-[Irinotecan]3)has been synthesized and its full-profile pharmacokinetics,antitumor activity and toxicity compared with those of irinotecan.The results show that after intravenous administration to rats,PEG-[Irinotecan]3 undergoes stepwise loss of irinotecan to form PEG-[Irinotecan]3-x(x=1,2)and PEG-[linker]during which time the released irinotecan undergoes conversion to SN-38.As compared with conventional irinotecan,PEG-[Irinotecan]3 displays extended release of irinotecan and efficient formation of SN-38 with significantly improved AUC and half-life.In a colorectal cancer-bearing model in nude mice,the tumor concentrations of irinotecan and SN-38 produced by PEG-[Irinotecan]3 were respectively 86.2 and 2293 times higher at 48 h than produced by irinotecan.In summary,PEG-[Irinotecan]3 displays superior pharmacokinetic characteristics and antitumor activity with lower toxicity than irinotecan.This supports the view that PEG-[Irinotecan]3 is a superior anticancer drug to irinotecan and it has entered the phaseⅡtrial stage. | Shiwen Song Dong Sun Hong Wang Jinliang Wang Huijing Yan Xuan Zhao John Paul Fawcett Xin Xu Deqi Cai Jingkai Gu | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,8: | 0 |
