2A magic eggshell:Cu^(2+) reacts with S^(2-) to produce metal Cu,rather than CuS显示文摘In common sense,the chemical reaction between Cu2+ and S2-ions produces black precipitation of CuS.However,if they are separated by an eggshell,they produce copper with trace amount of CuS on the surface of the eggshell at the side of copper chloride solution within one week.Such an unexpected phenomenon strongly indicated that Cu2+ is able to be reduced into metal copper when S2-diffuses throughout the porous eggshell.The produced copper was verified by reacting with nitric acid to generate red-brown nitrogen dioxide at ambient temperature,as well as by the powder X-ray diffraction(XRD) and energy dispersive analysis of X-rays(EDS).ZHANG WenLi WANG Zhao SHAO Bing NI Liang QIU Lin QIU Shu 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,18:1

4An altered CD8^(+) T cell epitope of insulin prevents type 1 diabetes in humanized NOD mice显示文摘Autoreactive CD8^(+)T cells,which play an indispensable role inβcell destruction,represent an emerging target for the prevention of type 1 diabetes(T1D).Altered peptide ligands(APLs)can efficiently induce antigen-specific T cells anergy,apoptosis or shifts in the immune response.Here,we found that HLA-A*0201-restricted CD8^(+)T cell responses against a primaryβ-cell autoantigen insulin epitope InsB15–14 were present in both NOD.β2m null.HHD NOD mice and T1D patients.We generated several APL candidates for InsB15–14 by residue substitution at the p6 position.Only H6F exhibited an inhibitory effect on mInsB1_(5–14)-specific CD8^(+)T cell responses in vitro.H6F treatment significantly reduced the T1D incidence,which was accompanied by diminished autoreactive CD8^(+)T cell responses to mInsB15-14,inhibited infiltration of CD8^(+)and CD4^(+)T cells in the pancreas and reduced pro-inflammatory cytokine production in pancreatic and splenic T cells in NOD.β2m^(null).HHD mice.Mechanistically,H6F treatment significantly augmented a tiny portion of CD8^(+)CD25^(+)Foxp3^(+)T cells in the spleen and especially in the pancreas.This subset exhibited typical Treg phenotypes and required peptide-specific restimulation to exert immunosuppressive activity.Therefore,this APL H6F may be a promising candidate with potential clinical application value for antigen-specific prevention of T1D.Mengjun Zhang Shufeng Wang Binbin Guo Gang Meng Chi Shu Wenli Mai Qian Zheng Xiaoling Chen Yuzhang Wu Li Wang 2019Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,6:1

10SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION METHOD OF LINEAR AND NON-LINEAR LIQUID PREPARATIVECHROMATOGRAPHIC SEPARATION显示文摘The paper proposes the identification method of linear and non-linear chromatographic system. Isotherms and lumped mass transfer coefficients of chromatography separating isomer sorbitol and mannitol on D80 adsorbent are determined. The analyses of root mean square error of chromatography elution curves are carried out. The results show that the system studied is non-linear and the theoretical elution curves of the non-linear chromatographic model are more accurate than those of the linear chromatographic model. 11Synthesis of easily-processable collagen bio-inks using ionic liquid for 3D bioprinted liver tissue models with branched vascular networks显示文摘Bioprinting has been a flouring way to fabricate complex tissue and organ mimics via precisely depositing printable cell-laden biomaterials.However,there is a limited number of biomaterials that fulfill the mechanical property of printing while meeting the responsive environment desired for the cells.Despite excellent cell compatibility and bioactivity,collagen suffers from difficulties in processing and printability which inhibited its utilization in three-dimensional(3D)bioprinting.Herein,we address this limitation by using ionic liquid as the solvent in the modification process,enabling collagens modified with quantified norbornene for chemical crosslink and extrusion-based 3D printing.With improved solubility and rheological properties,norbornene-functionalized collagen(Col-Nor)exhibited better shape fidelity in extrusion-based 3D printing compared with the one before modification.Photo-crosslinked Col-Nor hydrogel provided structural support and promoted the adhesion,proliferation,and differentiation of various types of cells,which afforded a centimeter-scale liver tissue model.This highly generalizable methodology expands printable,versatile,and tunable hydrogels developed from the natural extracellular matrix,allowing the biofabrication of 3D liver tissue model with branched vascular networks.Zhiqiang Gao Xin Liu Hao Zhao Shengpeng Xia Wenli Liu Haotian Bai Fengting Lv Xiongfei Zheng Yiming Huang Qi Gu Shu Wang 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,5:0
12Structure Design and Properties of Three-Layer Particleboard Based on High Voltage Electrostatic Field(HVEF)显示文摘In this study,the effects of three different particle sizes of wood wastes(A=–8+12 mesh;B=–12+20 mesh;C=–20+30 mesh)and factory shavings(D)on the properties of particleboard were investigated.According to the test results,three-layer particleboard was designed.Particleboard face layers made with mixture of A,B,and C.The core layer made with D.The ratio of core layer to face layers is 50:50.Three-layer particleboard were fabricated with 12%urea-formaldehyde(UF)resins and three different high voltage electrostatic field intensities(0 kv,30 kv,60 kv).The internal bond(IB)strength,modulus of rupture(MOR),modulus of elasticity(MOE),thickness swelling(TS),and water absorption(WA)of particleboard were evaluated.The density distribution of the three-layer particleboard were examined by vertical density profiles(VDP),and the bonding mechanism and functional groups changes in the particles were analyzed by FTIR analysis.The results showed that HVEF treatment intensity play a remarkable role in properties of particleboard.The particleboard with higher electrostatic field intensities treatment has higher MOE,MOR,IB,and TS.Under HVEF treatment(60 kv),the MOR,modulus of MOE,and IB of three-layer particleboard were 23.61 N/mm^(2),2787.09 N/mm^(2),and 0.86 N/mm^(2),respectively.FTIR indicated that the surface activity of wood particles was increased electric field treatment.Man Yuan Lu Hong Zehui Ju Wenli Gu Biqing Shu Jianxin Cui Xiaoning Lu Zhiqiang Wang 2021Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,8:0
