1Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. 2The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. 3Associations between individual and environmental factors and habitual physical activity among older Chinese adults:A social–ecological perspective显示文摘Purpose: To examine, within a social–ecological framework, associations between multifaceted individual and environmental factors and habitual physical activity(HPA) among older Chinese adults.Methods: Through a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods, a survey instrument assessing various factors underlying 3 social–ecological dimensions of intrapersonal, interpersonal, and community and environmental resources was developed. Using a cross-sectional design, older adults(n = 1580, aged 67 ± 7 years) recruited from 10 communities in Shandong province completed the social–ecological survey of HPA. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Path Modeling.Results: Factors related to intrapersonal(medical knowledge, motivation, physical function, sport skills, socioeconomic status, and education),interpersonal(social support, social activity, and social norms), and community and physical environmental resources(safety, capacity, availability of and access to physical activity facilities) were found to be significantly associated with older adults' participation in HPA.Conclusion: The findings provide an initial validation of a social–ecological approach to the study of HPA in China, suggesting that strategies aimed at promoting physical activity in older adults should address multiple levels of factors that may contribute to the likelihood of older Chinese adults being physically active.Xiangren Yi Zachary Pope Zan Gao Shumei Wang Fang Pan Jingpeng Yan Meng Liu Peipei Wu Jingjing Xu Rui Wang 2016Journal of Sport and Health Science2016,5,3:11

6Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. 16Online Intrusion Detection Mechanism Based on Model Migration in Intelligent Pumped Storage Power Stations显示文摘With the continuous integration of new energy into the power grid,various new attacks continue to emerge and the feature distributions are constantly changing during the deployment of intelligent pumped storage power stations.The intrusion detection model trained on the old data is hard to effectively identify new attacks,and it is difficult to update the intrusion detection model in time when lacking data.To solve this issue,by using model-based transfer learning methods,in this paper we propose a convolutional neural network(CNN)based transfer online sequential extreme learning machine(TOS-ELM)scheme to enable the online intrusion detection,which is called CNN-TOSELM in this paper.In our proposed scheme,we use pre-trained CNN to extract the characteristics of the target domain data as input,and then build online learning classifier TOS-ELM to transfer the parameter of the ELM classifier of the source domain.Experimental results show the proposed CNNTOSELM scheme can achieve better detection performance and extremely short model update time for intelligent pumped storage power stations.Yue Zong Yuanlin Luo Yuechao Wu Jiande Huang Bowen Yang Xiaoyu Kang Shumei Liu Yao Yu 2023China Communications2023,20,4:1

18Demagnetization Research on PMs in the Halbach Magnetized Pulsed Alternator显示文摘Demagnetization behavior of Halbach magnetized compensated pulsed alternator(CPA)is studied by using finite element method(FEM)under the different demagnetization factors in this paper.The effect of armature reaction magnetic field and thermal rise on demagnetization of PMs is analyzed.This paper investigates the effect of different demagnetization factors on magnetic field distribution,load current,and no-load phase voltage.A series of dynamic demagnetization points in Halbach array permanent magnet(PM)are evaluated to search the worst working point.Partial demagnetization risk can be represented by the worst working point,and the global demagnetization of the PM is represented by the no-load phase voltage characteristics after discharge.The research results demonstrated that the compensation shield with a certain thickness can increase the discharge current and weaken the demagnetization influence of armature reaction.The demagnetization effect of armature reaction on PMs at high temperatures will be strengthened.Songlin Wu Shaopeng Wu Weiduo Zhao Shumei Cui 2019CES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems2019,3,2:0
19Daicong solution effects on brain ultrastructure in a rat model of Alzheimer's disease显示文摘BACKGROUND: Infusion of kainic acid into the basal nuclei induces neuronal excitotoxicity, degeneration, and necrosis, resulting in disturbed learning and memory functions. OBJECTIVE: To explore the effects of different doses of traditional Chinese medicine Daicong solution on brain ultrastructure in a rat model of Alzheimer's disease. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: The randomized, controlled, cellular morphology experiment was performed at the Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Molecular Immunology of Weifang Medical University, China from October 2006 to March 2007. MATERIALS: Fifty healthy, Sprague Dawley rats, aged 22-months, were used to establish rat models of Alzheimer's disease. The Morris water maze was prepared at the Pharmacometrics Key Laboratory of Weifang Medical University in Shandong Province of China. Traditional Chinese medicine Daicong solution (crude drug 1 g/mL), composed of radix ginseng, rehmannia dried rhizome, anemarrhenae and radix astragali, was produced by the Department of Pharmacy of Hospital Affiliated to Weifang Medical University. Kainic acid was provided by Professor Xiuyan Li from Weifang Medical University. METHODS: A total of 40 model rats were equally and randomly divided into four groups: dementia model, low-dose Daicong solution (5 g/kg/d), moderate-dose Daicong solution (10 g/kg/d), and high-dose Daicong solution (20 g/kg/d). An additional 10 healthy rats served as the normal control group. Rats in the dementia model and normal control groups received saline (10 mL/kg/d). MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Neural cell ultrastructure was observed utilizing electron microscopy after 1 month of respective treatments. RESULTS: Compared with the normal control group, electron density and the number of ribosomes were significantly reduced in neuronal cytoplasm, and many lipofuscin grains and vacuole-like changes were observed in mitochondria in the dementia model group. In addition, nuclear chromatin presented with different sizes of plaque-shaped degenerative pathological changes. In the Alzheimer's disease rat model, neurons and neuroepithelial cells recovered to normal conditions following treatment with moderate- and high-dose Daicong solution. In the low-dose Daicong group, the condition was slightly improved, but the cytopathic effects were still significant. 20Adult tiger beetles Cicindela gemmata modify their foraging strategy in different hunting contexts显示文摘Predator–prey interaction has long been an interesting item in the research of animal behaviors.Given that live prey can damage their predators,predators must trade foraging efficiency for safety while hunting,but the extent of this trade-off is not yet clear.Tiger beetles display diversity in their diets and hunting strategies,and hence,they become an ideal system to address how self-security affects foraging efficiency.We addressed this question in captive adult tiger beetles Cicindela gemmata.By offering several types of arthropod and plant foods,we confirmed that C.gemmata is carnivorous.We found that C.gemmata hunt by either ambushing or chasing their prey,and that they switch between strategies based on differences in the number of prey,the prey status and encounter rate,and the number of predators.Ambushing success increased with the number of prey but decreased with prey encounter rate.Chasing success decreased as prey body size and encounter rate increased.Foraging Cicindela gemmata often gave up an attack when it was nonfatal.This active giving up of hunting may be a consequence of a trade-off between foraging efficiency and self-security.Therefore,it is an adaptive response to the risk of injury when hunting for larger live prey.Shumin Wang Panshuai Fei Zifeng Wu Zeyi Luo Yichen Wu Ningning Sun Yujie Wang Shumei Zi Lifang Gao Bo Du 2023Insect Science2023,30,6:0
